SD memory is always checked at startup
I recently bought a Treo 700wx. If I leave the phone powered off for a few hours then go back to it, once i turn it on, I get a message that tells me a "storage card was inserted. Do you want to search it for audio and video files?"
How can I stop this nuiciance from occurring?

Do you have an SD card in the Treo?
Try a 10 second soft reset by taking out the battery for at least 10 seconds. This allows the device to power off completely, like a shutdown on a PC.

I have a total of 3 DDR2 Gbytes of ram. Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU T4500 @ 2.30GHz Win 7 home pr. 64bit. Firefox 27.0 beta
I right click on a file to "open containing folder" from the drop down menu in downloads.
When the folder has been opened, explorer is trying to index the folder (which it never does completely or well after 5 minutes I close the folder and shut down the dllhost process cause laptop is blazing hot) and memory keeps increasing till no more is available.
I checked task manager and see that dllhost is the particular process that is causing the spike in memory usage even after closing the folder I right click and stop the process and memory is restored after awhile.Hello,

How do I disable the Plugin check at startup in 17.0.2 esr?
In testing the latest 17.0.2esr I keep getting the plugin check at startup. Even logged in as a Standard user with no Admin rights I still get this page which makes no sense since Standard users do not have permissions to install software. This is supposed to be the Enterprise version of Firefox which in my mind means that all updates and controls are left to the dicretion of an Administrator and not an end user. Is this a bug in ESR? How do I eliminate this?
This can happen if there are plugins installed that are block-listed by Mozilla.

I have Safari on an HP desktop running Windows 7, 64-bit. When I want to clear the history from Safari, the "Reset Top Sites Also" button is always checked. This can cause problems. Any way to have it unchecked all the time?

Try running the Microsoft Fix It Tool to see if it will fix the print spooler.
Diagnose and repair Windows File and Folder Problems automatically.
You can also run the System File Checker to repair corrupted or missing files.
System File Checker: Run sfc /scannow & analyze its logs in Windows 7 | 8.
You might end up having to do a repair of Windows.

MIGO GR/IR Flag always checked
In order to make the GR/IR flag always checked, I just went into the user settings and added a new parameter under System -> User Data -> Own Data -> Parameters.
The parameter that was added in is NDR and the value was "X".
Now the flag is always on whenever I am accessing the MIGO screen.
Now my question is, will this affect any other screens or anything else? Or am i okay?

I would assume you are referring to the "Print via Output Control" indicator checkbox. If this is the case, then the only implication is that any GR posting with this transaction MIGO will result in the printing of a goods receipt/issue slip (if the output determination function is activated).

Memory Error with iTunes 7 startup??
I just reinstalled EVERYTHING on my G4. Rebuilt the whole machine from the ground up on a new HD. Needed to be done anyway so I dont mind. My problem? When I try to launch iTunes 7 I get the Pref setup page and then an error. "I tunes does not have enough memory to launch" Check my mem I have ell over 80% available out of 1.2 Gig. Just after a fresh restart it will not open as the very first thing tried. I tried trashing all Pref files, I have everything updated to its latest. What could cause this? As it sounds there are so many problems with version 7 that maybe its not worth it to try and get it working. Maybe a revert back to vers 6 is better?

Upgrading on my MacBook Pro went fine, but on my G5 running OS 10.3.9 I cannot launch iTunes 7.0.
First I am presented with a blank license agreement page.
I click Agree then I'm told The iTunes application could not be opened. There is not enough memory available.

Include Unicode Signature (BOM) Always Checked When Opening Files
When I go to "File > Open..." in the Menu, the option for "Include Unicode Signature (BOM)" seems to be always checked by default. Is there some way to change this behavior? There is an option for turning it off for creating new files but not opening existing files.
And yes, I know you can also open files in the Files panel, but this question is pertaining to the Menu.
I'm using Dreamweaver CS6 on Mac Lion and any help would be much appreciated even if it requires hacking configuration files.

press Ctrl + J and uncheck unicode bom in encodings and save this file.

I keep getting this message, I decided to delete whatever I can to free up some space. Then I get my few GBs I have left on the startup disk. Then after a day, I get the message again. I check the startup disk size and notice I have "zero kb" left. ??????
Click your Apple menu icon top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac > More Info > Storage
Make sure there's at least 15% free disk space.
Restart your Mac after freeing up disk space then check Stoage again.
Another way to view avialable space:
Control click the MacintoshHD icon on your Desktop then click Get Info.
In the Get Info panel you'll see: Available & Capacity
Again, make sure there's at least 15% free disk space. -

"Stay logged on" checkbox is ALWAYS CHECKED - this is a security issue
Could Adobe please change the code for the login screen so that the "Stay logged on" checkbox isn't always checked (on)?
It doesn't matter if cookies are enabled, or not, it never remembers my desire to NOT BE AUTOMATICALLY LOGGED ON WHEN I VISIT.
Cookies aside, this checkbox should never be automatically checked unless the user has expressly decided for it to be so.
Anyone using a public computer may not remember to uncheck that checkbox; or may not even see it, if the user is in a hurry. This leaves that user's Adobe account VULNERABLE to anyone who uses that computer after the user is done. Not just for that hour, or day, but for as long as the cache and cookies are not cleared. How many accounts have to be ruined (password changed; vulgar/profanity-laced posts; etc.) before Adobe will take this seriously?
On top of that, I'm sick and tired of having to remember to uncheck that stupid checkbox before typing my password (it always remembers login name - another potential security vulnerability) to log on.
Stop thinking that you know what's best for everyone in the whole world, Adobe. That's a very ugly attitude.

^_^@Little_Pale_Face, clearing the browsing history on a public computer does NOT clear the login session. If you use a public computer to access Adobe forums and just close the browser without logging off and without clearing the "Stay logged on" checkbox, and if someone else after you were to enter "https://forums.adobe.com" on that same computer and using the same browser, they won't get a login prompt; they will automatically log on to your account.
@pwillener I've never had that problem as long as the browser is not closed and as long as lack of activity doesn't exceed 10 minutes, even after clearing the "Stay logged on" checkbox.

I'm having problems where if I restart (switch off and back on) the computer takes ages to move from the first screen. I have reason to think that it's checking the memory since sometimes it says "Memory tes" and then when its finished you get the "t" and how much memory I've got in Kb.
If I switch the computer off at the mains for about 5 seconds and switch on, giving residual electrical charge in the memory a moment to dissipate, then the computer starts up normally.
It sounds similar to the problem described as a slow POST, but my computer takes about 30 minutes, not 2.
Any ideas?

The problem started a week after I got the computer, and technical support made me try taking out different memory modules and it still happened, so they got me to use the Restore disc and the problem went away for a small while. They said it was a "windows error". -

Either of the above options terminates Mozilla - neither option fixes the problem - however Mozilla works as long as the error message remains on the desktop.We cannot know. You are not offering any system information nor actually telling what program you use and what you do when the crash occurs.
