SD WMS Integration, MM WMS integration

Hi gurus
How SD integrates WMS , while creating sales order - stock reserveration. and MM and WMS integration.
Regards\Adnan

Dear,
From material master MM intrigate with SD.
Because with reference of material code you can create sales order.
Then in process of third party sales purchase requisition is created in MM then all process of purchase follow in MM.
For Transporter charges you have to create service po in MM and close all cycle in MM

  • WMS and Oracle ERP integration.

    All,
We are working on an integration project where in we are using Oracle Apps as the ERP System. With this Oracle ERP, we want to integrate any WMS/SCM system [red prairie, manhattan, oracle etc].
Are there any open APIs/Interfaces to Oracle Apps, where in, we can call these from our code [may be Oracle stored procs or .NET] and all the required data are populated in the ERP system, which can then be used for further processing..
    Your help is highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Shridhar.

Does Oracle's WMS module not meet your needs? It would already be integrated.
As for APIs there is a manual that outlines all the available APIs for manufacturing. Look at the Discrete Manufacturing section to locate it.

  • WMS-SD integration

    Hi to All,
We are implementing  WMS for a service warehouse, where they will provide only specific services for different customers, and the client want to bill for the services rendered by the customer like for storage, picking..etc
and in sap there is no direct integration from WMS to SD
here we only need to bill for the services..
can you suggest me regarding this
    regards,
    Kiran

    Hi Roberto,
Yes both are in SAP only but because of the requirment we are not able to link the process,  WMS flow we are using for goods movement and the sales flow for billing the services
why we are going for the custom tables is the client business is like he will get a reference order A from customer for receving the goods in warehouse and the stock is in the warehouse for 10 days and later again we will get order B from customer for delivering the goods, and client want to trace the Ref order no and want us to provide detailed monthly report with respective to ref no and the services we provided and the charges
so because of this we are forcing to create the SO for each Customer ref no
in the above case with ref to A we charge for
    Pallet-In charge
    With Ref to B
    Pallet-out charge
    wrapping
    picking...etc

    Hi Sanjitanand,
    Thanks for your reply.
    What i are trying is;
I want to develop generic interfaces using Oracle API; which will help us in sending the RFID related data to WMS and then to EBS.
My input will be xml or flat files, i'll parse that; get the data and want to send this RFID data to WMS and from WMS to EBS..
If you have any sample examples/ docs / code etc , pls send me same..
Any help would be highly appreciated

We are  using SAP - WMS , ASRS(Automatic Storage and Retival system)  in warehouse for putaway and pick operation. We want to automate this process and came to know that this can be done using RFC .can anyone share his learing & idea about the architecture and way of working   also during installation what are the point we need to take care.

COMMIT WORK is necessary after most BAPIs. What you describe is usually a result of calling BAPI without COMMIT WORK. The message tells you that document was created, but when you look into database, the document is not there.
I'm not sure how to resolve this in case of the 3rd party software though. Maybe instead of just using a plain BAPI you will need to write a custom function module, which will capp BAPI and do COMMIT.
    Hope this helps.

  • SAP-3PL WMS integration

    Hi,
I am working on a 3PL  WMS interface with SAP IM.
Once goods are shipped from warehosue to customer, WMS system will send message to SAP and goods issue will be posted agaisnt SAP outbound delivery.
We plan to use standard IDOC type SHPMNT06 for this purpose to post goods issue.
    2 Queries regarding this.
    1) in SAP, we have custom movment type for goods issue. So what we need to do so that IDOC posts goods movement with Custom movement type instead of standard 601.
    2) In case, 3PL WMS reverses goods issue for delivery, what we need to do to replicate same in  SAP( i.e. how to run VL09 in SAP)?
Can we use same IDOC type and use reversal movment type ?
    Thanks
    Manoj

    Hi Manoj,
It is possible to trigger the custom movement type in place of 601. Did you already mapped your customer movement type to PGI? If yes, please create a variant using program RV56ABST. Choose 'Carry out goods issue posting during save' in the tab 'Post goods issue for deliveries of shipment'.
Theoretically there is another way to do it using SHPMNT06, which i have not tried yet. In E1EDL18 segment you have to choose qualifier PIC and another E1EDL18 segment with qualifier PGI (within segment E1EDL20). Also please choose qualifier QUA in segment E1EDL19 (withing segment E1EDL24). I tired it at delivery level using DELVRY07 and it worked. Try it with inbound function module IDOC_INPUT_SHPMNT.
    All the best!

  • SES integration with Oracle WMS

    1) How do we dispatch the events from the SES database (SDR, EDGE
SCHEMA) To the EBS WMS Module, such that when an item in an order is
scanned using RFID, the Order should automatically be ship confirmed
    in WMS?
    Regards
    Balaji
    [email protected]

You will need to call WMS APIs in EBS from SES. There are multiple options available ranging from simple to complex and it also depends on what dispatcher you are using. The simplest option is to call WMS APIs using event flow dispatcher. You need to specify the WMS data source in data-sources.xml and specify which API gets called under what circumstances in event flow XML. For more complex needs you could potentially use other dispatchers such as streams dispatcher and use other fusion middleware components such as BPEL, BRM, etc to call WMS APIs.

    Hi,
I´m trying to setup a reversal for movement type 102 trough our Decentralized warehouse but without any luck.
I have check some of the entries in customizing from the path down below, and also check some of links here on the community but still not getting anywhere
Logistics Execution→Decentralized WMS Integration→Central Processing→Application→Define Interface to Inventory Management and Delivery-Relevant Data.
Assign WM movement type references to IM movement types
Delivery-Relevant Parameters for Reference Movement Type
I could see from my our own reversal without WMS this setup is by delivery type DOG to pick the part wiht movement type:102 reference to WM.
However I still getting the error for WMS every time I try from MIGO with reference to Phurchase order, Indbound delivery, or material document.
Could anyone share me with some knowledge on that area.
Looking forward to hear from you.

I sent you a solution in you topic Albert.
Claus, again, no luck, sorry, you should always get informed about the functionalities of decentralized WM before implementing it, if you want to do a return to your vendor here's the process.
Decentralized isn't the same thing as standard WM, there are a LOT of limitations.
Here's the process by which you can achieve the required:
    (return delivery to vendor)
*ERP* Set return delivery type => e.g. RL for doc.type/plant combination here:
IMG => MM => Purchasing => Purchase Order => Returns Order
*ERP* XK02 - In account control data, maintain customer in vendor master record for your vendor you are returning the goods to
*ERP* XK02 - check "Return Vendor" checkbox (purchase view - control data) field is: LFM1-KZRET
*ERP* Finally you can create the delivery using VL10B based on your PO number
*WMS* In decentralized WMS, you will get a replica of the OB delivery, process it as usual and you are done.
    Hope it helps,
    Mihailo.

  • Integration of Oracle Apps with the Third Party Label Printing Software

    Hi,
I am integrating Oracle Apps R12 with the third party Label Printing Software(Bartender).
For generating the Label, I have to create the XML file in Oracle Apps and with the help of Oracle WMS i have to transfer the XML file to the TCP/IP Port.
Third Party Label Printing Software will pick the file from the TCP/IP Port.
I am not able to find the way to send the XML file generated by the concurrent program to the TCP/IP Port using Oracle WMS.
Below are the few links for Oracle WMS:

    Thanks In Advance..

    Hi,
I assume, i have already setup profile 'WMS: Label Print Mode' to Synchronous - TCP/IP.
Basically, you dont have to create any concurrent program for XML creation, Oracle will do it for you 'out of box'.
Also set 'WMS: Synchronous TCP/IP label request delay' to 100, this is a required step, though none of the documentation talks about it.
if you think that all the requests are not handled correctly, then you will need to increase this delay further.
Lastly, verify that the printer is setup correctly in Oracle (Place where you specify IP Address and port)
    Thanks,
    Hrishikesh

  • ECC WMS vs  Decentralized-WMS vs  SCM - Extended-WMS.  Confusing SAP Strat

Have a Question ... pertaining to SCM-EWM = Extended Warehouse Management Functionality in SCM.
I am raising this under SCM out of not sure which Forum this belongs to.
I knew  WMS  Functionality that is part of erstwhile  R3 4.6, 4.7 and now  ECC 6  Releases.
Back in 2003-2004 also came  "Decentralized WMS" which was the same thing, but WMS implemented
on a Separate Server integrated to R3 via IDOCs/BDOCs.   It had additional functionality of  TRM (Task & Resource Mngt)
which I know as my team has implemented in my earlier job as SCM Manager.   At that time there was no WMS inside of  SCM  (primarily APO).
I am now quite confused with the  "Extended WM" functionality that has come as part of  SCM  along with APO.
    -  What is the reason for coining EWM ?  Architecture seems similar to D-WMS.   Is this meant to be a 'Replacement' for D-WMS  ?
    -  I am reading this EWM having functionality similar to  D-WMS  (eg : TRM, Cross Docking, RFID) ... so it
appears to be the same ... except now I am reading it has functionality called  'Slotting', 'Rearrangement',
'Transportation Cross Docking",  "EH&S Integration" ... all honestly very confusing to me.
    -  Is it that SAP will now do all the Latest Developments around WM only in the  "EWM" module & slowly phase out WMS in ECC ?
Thought someone might know.  This confuses me a lot & I as Head SCM am unable to give the Right Opinion to our Customers on where to head for Warehouse Management.
    Regards,
    Ambrish Mathur

Thanks for responding. But please bear with me for the confusion that still exists.
If I am looking to recommend to a Large Customer who is in Manufacturing or Consumer Products or Automotive/Service Parts or Pharmaceutical Domain who typically Manufacture Finished Goods Inhouse and then Distribute it from Mfg. Plants to Regional Warehouses to Local Warehouses in a Country or across countries to sell to some Distributor or Retail Store for selling it to the Consumers. In such an Environment most of the Warehouses need to be WMS Managed - particularly big ones where RF Automation is also needed. Some even track Handling Units and need to Track Plant Batches so usually Implement HUM / SUM and Batch Management along with WMS to allow Pallet Tracking.
If I were to recommend to such customers which WMS to choose for their SAP Landscape, it is a Confusion of Giant Proportions esp. when deciding between Decentralized WMS Server (i.e : WMS not in ECC but in a separate R/3 which was primarily given by SAP to avoid Performance Issues in the Core Operations in ECC - Batch Management, HUM & WMS can be very Performance Intensive) or use the SCM-EWM Functionality. I want to give a Recommendation that is Futuristic. Why does SAP need to keep both - D-WMS as well as SCM-EWM ?
Bear in mind that EWM is different in Terminologies from D-WMS or ECC-WMS in the sense that the "Transfer Orders" in ECC or D-WMS and they are called as "Warehouse Orders" in SCM-EWM so have different SAP Trainings . In both 'Deliveries' for Sales/POs/STOs get "Distributed" from the Executional ECC System to the EWM/D-WM system to manage Warehouse Picking, Putaway & eventually GI / GR. D-WMS exchanges information with Central ECC Orders via Middleware which is IDOC/BDOC based while I am not sure if EWM uses CIF of SCM or has a different Interface with ECC.
D-WMS & SCM-EWM both run in a Decentralized Fashion to take care of Performance Issues with implementing WMS in the Integrated ECC Environment which I do not recommend for Companies wanting to implement a Lot of WMS.
So the Confusion very much exists between what to recommend between D-WMS & SCM-EWM to a Customer like above with a Futuristic Outlook in mind. It does not make sense for SAP to keep both.
What do you recommend for above-like Customers ?
Where do SCM-EWM Trainings happen (seem to be still not common) ... can you refer me ? I cannot see them in the India/Asia SAP Training syllabus.
I want expert help to make a recommendation.
    Regards,
    Ambrish Mathur

    Hello,
I had the opportunity to work with a couple of WMS solutions that are out there for SAP B1.  I would recommend you to look at this..
    http://www.innovationsolutions.com/hjwms.html
There are two things to consider apart from the integration aspects of the solution
The features and functionality of the WMS portion of the product
Ease of implementing of the warehouseing piece
In the above case, HighJump (http://www.highjump.com/) is one of the top 5 WMS solutions in the world. There is no shortage of functionality.

  • Integrating SAP Java Connector with SAP XI

    Hi XI experts
We are about to integrate our SAP ERP2004 system with a new WMS system.  The vendors of the WMS system normally integrates with ERP directly through SAP Java Connector, but we would like to put SAP XI between the two systems so we have good way of monitoring the messages beeing sent.
I would like to make a synchronous test scenario where we send a ARTMAS idoc from SAP to XI which sends it to the WMS. After WMS system receives the ARTMAS Idoc it sends an acknowledgement back to XI which passes it on to SAP.
The integration would then look like this:
SAP ERP <-> SAP XI <-> WMS (Jco)
Is this scenario possible? And if so, how would you suggest to set it up?
I was thinking of using the RFC adapter to connect to the Java Connector of WMS, but am not sure if this is the right approach or how it should be set up.
Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated.
    Best Regards
    Chris

I have made a setup like this:
    SAP <-> XI <-> WMS
    The Scenario is like this:
SAP sends an ARTMAS03 idoc to XI which maps it directly to the same ARTMAS03 idoc structure (need a few changes in the future so thats why im not using IDOC tunnelling) then it uses a RFC receiver adapter to connect to our SAP gateway, where the WMS is registrered through JCO.
When I first sent the idoc, i got a "RfcAFWException: failed to read funtionname from XML document: missing namespace declaration(2)" then after reading Q23 in note 730870, I used the RFCNormalizer xslt to change the namespace to a "urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:fuctions" instead of the "urn:sap-com:document:sap:idoc:messages". The error is now "functiontemplate from repository was <null>".
As far as i can see the error is because the metadata repository defined in the RFC adapter cant find the function module that normally would be in the root of a RFC-XML. But I dont know how I can send an Idoc through the rfc adapter to the gateway then. Anyone got some ideas?
    Thanks
    Chris

  • Integration via Services

I will make an integration between an ERP system and a WMS.
This integration will be made via services, or when I need to send information from ERP to WMS, the ERP will draw on my ALDSP a service that will map the parameters of the Webservice (XSD) that were sent by the ERP to the fields of WMS, which in the case will be a Procedure.
I wonder what is the best way to map the fields of XSD for the fields of procedure, I know I have to use xQuery, but I use logical data services or models for this? I need also to do some testing before calling the procedure, such as whether a field has size X, if not, I trunc it.
What would be the best way that I do this with Data Services? The reverse also happens.

    Hi Daniel,
please look into the AC 5.3 Configuration Guide, there you will find all web services available for AC.
But the web services were designed for a direct integration to an ID Management system so you have to check yourself if these web services will help you.
    Best,
    Frank
