SDK 14.7 failure in flash programming

Hi all,
I am unable to use SDK 14.7 to program binary file into flash of microBlaze. I keep geting the error : "CFI query of block/sector map returned inconsistent result!".
I see in other thread that other also got this failure with 14.7, while 14.4 works. should I try 14.4 ? Can I install it in the same computer ? Is it suffecient to donwload just the SDK or just the "lab tools" instead of the full package ?
Thanks,
Ran

It works for Virtex-6 LX240 board.
Thanks a lot.

The workaround for the issue is replacing -Os with -O3 in the GCC command in flashwriter.tcl file @ C:\Xilinx\14.7\ISE_DS\EDK\data\xmd

  • Can FLASH program be pasted on Labview

    Hi everyone,
Newbie here, I would like to know whether a Flash program can be pasted on a Labview program, just like the Flash program can be pasted on the Dreamweaver.
    Thank you all.
    Regards,
    Tay

Probably not as easily since (if I remember correctly) both Dreamweaver and Flash are from Macromedia and since Dreamweaver is designed to do this kind of thing and LV isn't.
What you can do is integrate ActiveX controls into your front panel and interact with these controls using invoke nodes and property nodes. Place an ActiveX container (in the containers palette) and right click it to insert a flash object (on my system I see 2 objects called "Shockwave ...."). You will then need to wire the reference into the nodes on the diagram to get the various properties and methods. If you can find the documentation for the ActiveX interface somewhere then you should probably be all right, but just consider the following:
LV is multiplatform and ActiveX is windows only. LV doesn't always work too well with AX.
You have to have the ActiveX object installed on every computer where this will run (and it needs to be the same version).
Getting the data from the object could be tricky.
If all this doesn't work, you could try using an Internet Explorer ActiveX object and just load the flash file into an HTML page.
To learn more about LabVIEW, I suggest you try searching this site and google for LabVIEW tutorials. Here and here are a couple you can start with. You can also contact your local NI office and join one of their courses.
In addition, I suggest you read the LabVIEW style guide and the LabVIEW user manual (Help>>Search the LabVIEW Bookshelf).
Try to take over the world!

Why is Adobe Flashplayer not working with Apple? Do you have an other flash program you recommend?

Thank you for your interest in Adobe Flash Player. Unfortunately Apple does not allow Flash Player to be installed on iPhone or iPad.
May I add, this is the answer I get When I try to Download Adobe Flash Player
You get the message because that is exactly the situation. Apple has not allowed any Flash on iOS devices.
What site are you trying to see? Many sites now provide Flash alternatives. For example, if you want to listen to Pandora, instead of using the Flash on the Pandora website, instead you download the Pandora app for the iPad.
In the future, even if Apple wants to add Flash to the iPad, it won't be able to because Adobe will no longer be making it at all, for any mobile device:

If you often go to sites that use a lot of Flash and they don't have an alternative, you should write to them and tell them to stop using Flash.

  • CS5 do I need a licence to sell my flash programs?

    hi guys,
im new to CS5 but alot of my Action Script 3 tutorials and books require me to install it, (namely to create MovieClip files).
My question is I intend to write software using flash that I can then sell commercially but im confused as to what licence I would need to do that? or if my CS5 licence would need to be valid for as long as I sell my software.....
so far I have the trial version of CS5 Pro to continue coding but after reading this part of the user agreement (see below) it suggests that I cannot sell software with any 'output' files I produce during the 30 day trial... is this correct? what licence, if any, do I need to sell my flash programs created using CS5 Pro and will I need to keep it renewed once the program development is finished? thanks in advance.
2.1.2 The Software, or portions of the Software, that are provided with a serial number designated for “evaluation purposes” or other similar designation (such as Software or a serial number supplied as “EVAL” under a separate ordering document) and that includes an expiration date (“Evaluation Software”) may only be installed and used on Computers for demonstration, evaluation, and training purposes only and only if any Output Files or other materials produced through such use are used only for internal, non-commercial, and non-production purposes. The Evaluation Software will automatically time out with or without prior notice. You may not use such Evaluation Software after any applicable time-out period has ended, unless you input a valid serial number under Section 2.2. ACCESS TO AND USE OF ANY OUTPUT FILES CREATED WITH SUCH EVALUATION SOFTWARE IS ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Basically, if you pay for the software and activate it you're good to go.  When you buy it, you are licensed to use it for the rest of your life for creating things for profit.
I am not a legal authority in these matters, but these discussions come up in the forums one in a while.

  • Where is the Flash program available - not the installer - the program?

For a week now, when trying to install Flash, a veritible necxessity these days like it or not, the program that I downbload that downloads the installler that will download and install Flash times-out on this computer Vista 64, a Vista 32, a Windoze 7, and a XP machine. I read and followed all oif the stuyff that blames the client. Now, will Adobe fix their end?
Or, provide a linlk to the actuall file that is the Flash program, not a downloader to download a installer to download the Flash program! Obviously, when Adobe times-out on a brand new fresh install of Vista 64, and new computer with 7 - it is not likely the client.
Oh yes, I had my ISP check, and the modem and router, and plugged directly in to mode bypassing router. Same time-out and, same stupid 'Here is why it's your fault client' messages.
Why not let some download sites, like Cnet, or Brothersoft or others store it there where can get it?
Half the work I do needs my browser to use flash. Maybe renaming the insaller to adobe_flop_version26445375483445389209.exe might help?
A good program doesn't need to be upgraded, updated or foxed once or twice a week.
I hope Googoyle can find a Flash alternative.

  • There's an error in my flash program upon upgrading from CS3 to CS4

    First, i'm using AS3.
I cannot divulge too much, but i have a multiscene, fairly complex flash program that runs fine in CS3. Upon upgrading to Flash CS4 - i can open the file and edit it any which way, but when testing it (ctrl+enter) i get an error in the output window (1009) and a blank test window, as if it doesn't want to start.
    Why?
i can only provide few specifics if needed. thanks.

There were changes in CS4 that could in some cases let you get away with things that you couldn't in CS3, mostly to do with going to a frame and trying to do something to an object that now exists on that frame. Error 1009 is what happens if you try to use something that isn't there yet. I guess it's possible that because CS4 is better at using objects at the new frame, that it may have triggered a problem that CS3 wouldn't have triggered.
In any case, first thing you could try is updating to the recent 10.0.2. That fixed a lot of issues, and may improve things for you:

  • Convert Flash Program

I have a program realized in Flash for a PC. I want to use it
    on a mobile Phone.
This is a Miotach MIO A701, is a smartphone and a pocketPC

I had install on my pocket PC adobe flash player for Pocket

How can I convert the Flash Program into a mobile flash

So you have packaged the file as a Projector? A standalone
    Flash
    application?

With Flash 6 there was a Flash 6 Standalone Player that
    developers could
purchase for around $400. You could use this to package a
    standalone
application. There is not yet a similar Standalone Player for
    Flash 7 on
    PPC.
Also, for Flash 6 there were a number of third-party options
    but I think
none of them work with the Flash 7 player.
You can use something like CFCOM or OpenCF.NET to wrap your
    Flash file
inside a eVB, eVC, C++.NET, C#.NET or VB.NET and create an
    exe that will
    rune the Flash file.
Check the archives of this newsgroup for more information
    about these
    numerous options.

  • Graphics Optimization for Flash Programs

Is there any program or setting for "pointing" flash programs at my graphics card rather than leaving it to the processor and RAM alone? I am running a specific frontend software that is a flash executable- unfortunately it lags heavily on execution despite the fact that I have a very nice video card installed. I would greatly appreciate being able to get flash to utilize my nVidia graphics card to optimize its' performance. I am running Windows XP.

Ahh, I see... It's similar to the issue with running streaming video to a capture card- instead of just turning your computer into a "video-in" it now has to convert the stream before displaying it which actually lags it a bit. On the plus side it appears, from that article, that integration of the features I am seeking may eventually be implemented or at least improved in the future
