SDM ESS Deployment Error

Hello Folks,
I have been facing this error for some time now, I've tried repeating and restarting SDM deployment but just doesn't wok.
Its the BP for ESS that I'm trying to deploy for PCD.
Can some one suggest how to fix this please.

Tell me what is your portal version ( NW2004 or 2004s) and SP level ?
upgrade you SP (mainly J2ee engine and JSPM) level and try again.

SDM Server Deployment Error

Hi all
I have a setup of SAP ECC 6.0 with both ABAP stack and JAVA stack installed.
I can see the JAVA Stack running as well as I can see the SDM also running fine.
inside my NWDS when i insert the server details I can see the server showing me GREEN icons
when I try to deploy my webdynpro application it tells me for SDM password.
When I put the password it shows
Deployment error occurs when deploying from IDE, the following message is displayed:
Server XXX did not accept login request as admin on port 50018
Details: ERROR: Could not establish connection to server XXX at port
50018: XXX
I have changed the SDM password and then also it giving me the same error.
Can someone help me on this issue as I am unable to find a solution of this.

ESS deployment error

I successfully deploy the BPERP5ESS09_0-10006126.SCA and SAPPCUIGP01_0-20001215.
When I am trying to deploy the sda files from
SAPESS01_0-20000512\DEPLOYARCHIVES using the SDM, I got the following error. Please suggest me to solve my problem.

The issue you are facing is described on followins SAP notes, please apply the recommendations of one note according to your components version:
1167226 - Failed to deploy application sap.com/ess~au
1073026 - Failed to deploy application sap.com/essauaddr
#762882 - FileNotFoundException: work/META-INF/null
If the issue still persits, then deploy the most recent ESS package (download from SMP). You do not need to deploy first the initial ones and then upgrade.

I am trying to deploy ESS business package (ERP 2005) onto the portal 6.0 SP16 via SDM. My backend end system is ECC 6.0. I have downloaded the following files but deploy ends up in the following error.

Looks like you might have a corrupt file.
Try downloading from service market place again (and use SAP download manager).

ESS - Deployment Error Webdynpro for Java

Hi All
To enhance the functionality of CatsApproval (sap.com/msscatapproval), We have created a custom DC and copied the source code from the above DC. After we enhanced the functionality in new DC, we have undeployed the old DC to avoid name clash and deployed the new DC (say xxx_msscatapproval).
We are getting below error during runtime.
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDRuntimeException: Failed to create deployable object 'sap.com/msscatapproval' since it is not a Web Dynpro object.
We have found ''sap.com/msscatapproval' text have hard coded in some of the component and we have replaced with the new DC name but Still we r getting error.
Any help on this is highly appreciated.

Getting ERROR in SDM while deploying

Hi All,
I have downloaded CRM Business Package for 4.0 file
BPCRM40602_3-10002661.ZIP from SDN.
I am trying to delpoy this using SDM.
I rename the file to BPCRM40602_3-10002661.sca and deployed but i am getting ERROR saying Manifest attributes are missing or badly formatted value...
Can you tell the reason for this.
and Can i get .SCA file or .EPA file for CRM BP for 4.0 in SDN or Service Marlet Place?

Indeed that ZIP file is not going to work. It does not contain a Manifest.mf for a start. Manifest file will contain the version of the business package, the vendor and plenty of other information.
Possibly you cant use the SDM to deploy this business package. How about uploading it directly through the portal?

It seems u dont have the correct sdm password or someone has changed the sdm password.It has not accepted the credentials u have given during deployment.
Check with all Sap enterprise portal settings in the prefernces/NWDS
The host name,alias,port
If not done with
Try to change the sdm password using this Password trouble in SDM
restart server again after changes
even try
- Stop nd restart the sdm from yor NWDS and deploy once again

Deployment Error when transporting to TEST server

Hi experts,
I'm having a deployment error when transporting my dc from development server to test server using the Change Management Service - Transport Studio.
In the error message, there is the mention of the following sentence:

But the dc is using only the standard default dcs like:
com.sap.aii.proxy.framework (default)
com.sap.aii.util.misc (default)
com.sap.exception (default)

tc/cmi (default)
tc/ddic/ddicruntime (default)
td/ddic/metamodel/content (default)
tc/logging (default)

tc/wdp/metamodel/content (default)
So could these dcs not have been deployed on the test server ?
How do we confirm this ?

Deployment Error on sap-j2ee engine

Hi
I build an EJB project,Web project and added these to EAR project and built an '.ear' file. When i tried to deploy on sapj2ee engine. I got the following deployment error.

The password is admin for SDM, i redployed by building '.ear' file again.
You suggested to deploy the ear file on SDM remote gui, how to do that?

WD app Deployment Error - Where can we find J2ee log file for linux install

Hi,
I have a problem with deploying a web dynpro application. There are no errors before deployment but when I deploy the application, I get a deployment error with the following description.
I tried to view the trace or log file but we have SAP installed on a linux OS and I do not know where can we see the log or trace file. Please help.

Hope you are doing good.
You can set the trace level in the SAP/Java Gui dynamically :
Call transaction SMICM
Choose the menu Goto → Trace Level → Set
In the pop-up window, set the desired level (0,1,2,3)
To switch on an /nSMICM or ICM HTTP trace via command line you should go to
usr\sap\<SID>\<instance_number>\exe directory and run the icmon program with the following command:
icmon◦◦pf=\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\profile\<SID>_<instance_name>_<HOST>
where you fill in the SID, instance name and host corresponding to your system.
The icmon program is interactive and to increase trace level you must write
"+" and pres enter.To quit you must write "q" and press enter.
The trace will be written◦to the following file: usr\sap\<SID>\<instance_number>\work\dev_icm

NW 7.0 SP9 to SP13 SAP_JTECH deploy error

Hi -
I'm having an issue upgrading a NW 7.0 system from SP9 to SP13. All the support packs for the other components have been applied aside from SAP_JTECHS. It is continually failing at component "sap.com/tcTechSrvXML_DAS" with the below error:
ERROR: Not updated. Deploy Service returned ERROR:
                     java.rmi.RemoteException: Cannot deploy application sap.com/tcTechSrvXML_DAS..
                     Reason: Exception in the get/create/deleteSubConfiguration() method during makeUpdate(...) of application sap.com/tcTechSrvXML_DAS.; nested exception is:
                          com.sap.engine.services.ejb.exceptions.deployment.EJBConfigurationException: Exception in the get/create/deleteSubConfiguration() method during makeUpdate(...) of application sap.com/tcTechSrvXML_DAS.
                          at ...
I get a deployment error using both JSPM and SDM.
Has anyone seen this problem/error before? Any help would be much appreciated!

My solution: Use SDM to undeploy tc/TechSrvXML.
Deploy SAP_JTECHS again.

Hi,
I think you have to configure your NWDS, You got to set the J2EE Engine Settings in Windows - Preferences - SAP J2EE Engine. Please change the Host name to your J2EE Host name, and please donot change the PORT NUMBER.

Web service deployment error -

Hi all,
Only recently I've been encountering deployment error for my EAR that contains a webservice. I deployed the EAR file via SAP Netweaver IDE. Prior to that, there wasn't any issue while performing deployment but lately the error below is persistent and I had to repackage my webservice to a different EAR file. But after a few days, the same error occurs with the newly deployed EAR file.
