SDN Contribution Recognition program

Hello SDN Team,
I have a query related to SDN Contribution Recognition program.
Suppose if i am working in a <b>xyz.com</b> company, and i earned <b>n</b> points at SDN. And then i decided to move to some other company,<b>abc.com</b>. So my points will start from <b>0</b> or <b>n?</b>
and my n points will go to the company which i shifted or it will remain with my old company only?
Do i have to create <b>new USER</b> in that case? or my old ID will only work with new company also?
Hope my problem is clear to you.
Regards,
SAP_SDN user

  • Changes to recognition program

    I hope I'm not stealing anyone's thunder by posting this (or even announcing something that is already common knowledge), but the following comes from today's (28/11) SAP Info newsletter;
"+++ Community Participation to Benefit UN World Food Programme
SAP AG today announced a ground-breaking new recognition program for
members of the SAP Developer Network (SDN) and Business Process Expert
communities. Beginning January 1, 2008, community member participation
will be rewarded with a donation to the United Nations World Food

Must say I feel this is a good thing, and as it's been fairly quiet on Coffee Corner this week thought I'd offer this up for other opinions.

<i>The Third World's economies are distorted by dependence upon exportation of primary products, to the First and Second worlds, in return for finished products. After liberation from colonial rule in the 1950s - 1970s, many Third World nations were illiterate, over-populated, and politically unstable. This was particularly true of Africa, where nation-states were artificially created by European colonial powers in order to control populations by imposing local, minority-rule governments, indifferent to local social and cultural reality.
In general, Third World countries are not as industrialized or technologically advanced as OECD countries, and consequently developing nation is the current term in use in academia. Terms such as Global South, developing countries, less economically developed countries (LEDC), least developed countries, and the Majority World have become more popular in circles where the term third world is regarded to have derogatory or out-of-date connotations.</i>

  • Can you use the browser and search the web by utilizing a speach recognition program instead of the mouse & keyboard ?

''locking as a duplicate of https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/972710''
I would like to know if Mozilla's ( Firefox Browser) can integrate with and utilize a speech recognition program, I would like to have control of and be able to use all of the browsers functions while navigating the web using voice commands (only) ,instead of having to use a mouse & keyboard. If the browser does have that capability, are there any issues I need to be aware of and are there any tutorials or web pages Mozilla can suggest that will help with this.
Thanks in advance for answering my questions and for the information forthcoming!

What is this speech recoginaziom program called? I need to know if I am to help you. Thanks Nathan.

  • How do I permanently REMOVE the Face Recognition program in Windows 8.1?

I want to Uninstall, permanently REMOVE, the Face Recognition program from Windows 8.1.  When I select this program from the list of all programs displayed, I am not given an "uninstall" option, only the option to "change", which
then begins to install.  I was able to uninstall once before, but somehow the program was placed back onto my computer and now the "uninstall" option is no longer available.  Thanks!

    Hello DePaix,
    What is your current situation?
Have you tried the solution as MVP Cyber_Defend_Team mentioned?
Do this program preinstalled? If yes, we need to contact the manufacturer to receive better support.
If my understanding is right, you uninstalled it once, but the program was back and only the option to ‘change’.
Could you please provide us a screenshot to avoid misunderstanding if you willing to?
Can you run the program? If the program runs in the startup, we could use the tool System Configuration (msconfig) to disable apps or services that normally run at startup.
For more information, please take a look at the following article about using system configuration.

  • Does anyone know of a good speech recognition program for Mountain Lion?

I purchased a speech recognition program in 2008, MacSpeech Dictate. I only used it for a short period of time, but problems with my hands have started up again. MacSpeech Dictate does not work on OS X 10.8. I wondered if there are any speech recognition programs available for this operating system? i found "Dragon Express" in the App store, but it was rated low, and apparently crashes with 10.8. I cannot beieve that Apple would forget about those with disabilities. I have activated the speech commands window and have experimented with it, but it seems limited for browsing the web. I wondered if there was a way to create my own commands using the Speech Command application in Mountian Lion? Any ideas anyone? Have I missed something with Speech Commands on 10.8?

The built in dictation is pretty good.  The only real downside is that the conversion is done server-side so you have to dictate, then wait a bit, and then dictate, and then wait a bit.
The gold standard is dragon dictate.  I think it's a few hundred bucks but it's fantastic software.  I belive the Nuance engine underneath it is used by the Mountain Lion dictation feature, though.

  • Symbol speech recognition program appears on desktop when starting parallels

    Hello,
when I start parallels, the symbol of the voice recognition program appears on the desktop. I can't remove this symbol from the desktop. Doubleclick only moves the symbol from the desktop to the dock.
I checked the system setup "speech" of my mac:
"voice/speech recognition" and "voice over" are deactivated. So it seems that the setups of windows XP operating system and/or parallels (working tools) are causing this.
How can I remove this symbol? It' s annoying.
    Thank you for your reply.

I found it. The parallels settings are linked with the systemsettings on the Mac. So I looked at: Parallels > settings > enhanced > speech > deactivate spoken commands.

  • Voice/speech recognition program

    Hello,
i can't remove the symbol of the voice recognition program from the desktop/dock. Doubleclick only moves the symbol from the desktop to the dock.
I checked the system setup "speech":
"voice/speech recognition" and "voice over" are deactivated.
How can I remove this? It' s annoying.
    Thank you for your reply.

    Hello,
I know, this is the "normal" way to remove a symbol from the dock. Using only snow leopard, there is no problem. But: when I start parallels (and windows XP operating system) on my macbook, the symbol appears on the desktop. If I doubleclick, the symbol moves to the Dock. If I click and hold on the Dock icon, there is only 1 option (open speech recognition) instead of 2 options (open and options for example remove from dock).

  • Good voice recognition program needed.

I am loosing the use of my fingers and typing has been reduced to the use of the ole two finger trick.  I do realize that some of you only know this way of typing but when you learn to type using all 20 fingers and 18 quit it is a challenge.
A friend uses a PC and swears by MS Word 2011 and using that voice recognition.  He demonstrated how accurate the transcription is.
I purchased Office 2011 for Mac figuring it would have this same tool.  I can't find it.
Any one been able to use Word 2011 for Mac?  In the Mac Preferences in Dictation & Speech, when I turn Dictation "On", a dropdown window says "When you dictate text, what you say is sent to Apple to be converted to text. To help your Mac recognize what you're saying, other information is sent as well, such as your contacts."
What is this about?  Is this a dictation setting or a voice recorder?  Contacts?
Does this mean that Word 2011 for Mac doesn't have a voice recognition like the PC version? Or does it?
Any one help me with this?
    Andy

Hi Andy - Unfortunately, there is no speech recognition for Microsoft Word. Like Rudegar mentions above, the best dictation software out there for the Mac is DragonDictate.
    http://www.nuance.com/for-individuals/by-product/dragon-for-mac/dragon-dictate/i ndex.htm.
I use it all the time, in fact I am using it right now. It's a fairly expensive program but not only does it dictate your typing, but you can also have it open up programs and pretty much do anything you want by speaking into your microphone.
Not because you have a Mac, there is also the ability like you mentioned to use Apple's dictation software. Once you have turned on dictation like it looks like you have, by double tapping the command button on your keyboard a little microphone will pop up and you can start dictating. Then when you're done dictating you can hit the command key again to have it stop and type in the text your dictated.
Unlike DragonDictate, the Apple method is free but there are some limitations. First, there is a limitation to how much you can say before you have to have it type out the words. You also do not see the words as you're speaking them until you hit the command key to end your dictation.
But for the price of free, it is a very handy method to type. I would give that a try first, and then go to DragonDictate if you want to have more features.
Me know if I can help with anything else!

  • Musical Instrument Recognition Program help

I am currently working on a LabVIEW program to allow me to
recognize a musical instrument by analyzing its waveform.
    I am using LV
7.0 and 7.1. I have 7.0 on my home computer, and the computer labs at college
have 7.1 (both running Windows XP Professional).
I have a few questions. In order for you to understand what
I am talking about, I have included explanations of/(and a link to) my program.
You can go to my website if you want to see more about the
program. It may be helpful to click the “Documents” button and view the "Senior Project Midterm Review Presentation", “Project
Proposal Presentation”, and the "Final Project Proposal".
    Website: http://home.pct.edu/~rhijas55/SeniorProject/index.htm
    Program: http://home.pct.edu/~rhijas55/SeniorProject/documents/compare.zip
Open the “CompareHarmonics_RM.vi” file, and select WAV files
from the “sound” folder. The recordings in the “sound/no” folder do not match
up correctly. The others do. Make sure that the correct frequency is entered
for the file you are playing.
    Questions:
    1. What
are some ways that I could more precisely compare two arrays to see how well
    they match up?
    2.
Should the difference of the waveform’s harmonics be weighted greater when the
harmonics are larger values (earlier harmonics for most instruments), than
the differences of the later (around the 12th harmonic and on)
harmonics which have much lower amplitudes?
    3. Do any
of you know of any characteristics that are always found in the waveform of
    certain instruments?
    4. Does anyone know if there is a way
that LabVIEW can step through the contents of a folder, selecting the next file
    each time the loop iterates?
Since the objective of this project is to create a program
that can recognize an instrument based on its waveform, I need to compare
whatever instrument waveform I select, with the harmonics which are
characteristic of different types of instruments.

    Spreadsheet to Array:
The Bottom section of the Block diagram has many “Spread. to
Array” and “Array Diff.” modules repeating the same thing over and over again.
They take a spreadsheet file from the folder labeled “Harmonic Data Rel. Max”,
convert the file to an array, and find the average difference between each
array value and the coinciding array value of the current waveform. (These
spreadsheet files contain the relative amplitude harmonic values of different
types of instruments.) This average difference and the name of the instrument
are put into arrays. Then the same thing is done with the next spreadsheet file
until all of them have been compared with the current waveform’s harmonics.
Once all the stored files have been compared to the current
waveform, the loop at the bottom of the Block Diagram finds for which
instrument there was the least difference from the current waveform. The idea
is that harmonics of instruments of the same type would have less difference
than two different types of instruments.
What I would like to do is to find a way that I can put all
the converting and comparing into a single loop so I don’t have to duplicate it
for each stored instrument. I would want to look in the folder that holds all
the spreadsheet files, and choose the first file. That file would be converted
to an array, and then compared with the current waveform’s harmonics. The
average difference and the instrument’s name would be put into arrays, and then
the next loop would iterate. For each iteration of the loop, the next
spreadsheet file would be selected from the folder, until all stored files have
been analyzed, and their differences and names put in arrays. Then the arrays
would be sent to the last section where it would determine which stored
harmonic array hast the least difference from the current waveform’s harmonics.
Does anyone know if there is a way
that LabVIEW can step through the contents of a folder, selecting the next file
each time the loop iterates? That would make it a lot easier to add more
stored harmonic files so I won’t have to repeat the code for each file added to
    the folder.
I should also be able to more successfully recognize
instruments if I have more samples of instruments stored to account for
    variations among instruments.

  • About Date Range Selection in Contributor Recognition Program- List

    Hello SCN,
Happy that we have a classified date range selection like Year wise, Contest period wise and also with date range in the Top Contributors list. However earlier we had a luxury to see the point classified as  "All Time Contribution".  I personally feel to get back this option as well in the list.
Dear SDNers share your suggestion on this.
    Thanks,
    SaNv....

    Hi,
If you want the user to select the date directly rather than entering, you need not to have a dropdown menu in WAD. Directly go to the query which you have selected for the object in WAD, there create a variable with calendar. Put it mandatory, so that the user selection of the date will be mandatory. The variable will be automatically be available when you execute the template inn the browser.
Assign points if this helps u.
    Regards,
    Koundinya.

  • How do I make People Recognition program accept corrected names?

This should be very easy but I have forgotten how to get PE to use the correct version of names in People Recognition.
I hit a few wrong (lower-case) keys iand those first spelling versions continue to auto-fill even when versions that start with capital letters are entered..
Please point me  to what must be a simple corrective procedure.
    Thanks

You should be able to right-click on the tag in the right hand panel and choose to edit the tag. In the tag properties dialog change the name and click OK.

  • Dragon Voice Recognition Program. Which computer to buy?

    Hi!
Can someone give me a laptop recommendation?
    I've been told I need an i7 L3 minimum 8GB laptop.
I see that BEST BUY offers this configuration in Lenova, Asus, and HP.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a solid computer with these configurations?
    Thanks!

my feeling is that the industry is pretty
much cross-platform at this point. From what I can
tell, he might never need to work on a PC, ever.
Possibly so, but there's grey areas in there. While ten years ago it was almost exclusively Mac-based, once Avid made the shift to Windows (immediately following their purchase by Microsoft, who within a few short years sold the company, leaving chaos in their wake), the dyke was broken. Nowadays you'll find Mac shops, PC shops, and companies that mix both platforms. BUT, the only software that is truly cross-platform is Avid. And remember - it IS the proverbial 800lb gorillla in the editing business, so skills learnt on a Mac Avid directly translate to PC Avid - the software is to all intents and purposes identical across both OS's. There's countless numbers of other editing systems on the Windows platform, none of which are any good in this writers opinion, but you can't deny there's a lot of work being done on Windows. I myself only own Macs and FCP, and will choose to use that solution when possible, but these past few weeks I'm working on a PC Avid. It's essential to have some cross-platform exposure, and very handy indeed to know more than one application.
But anything other than Avid or FCP is a complete waste of time if you want to be a working editor. Advise your b-in-l to get an Intel Mac, he won't regret it and he'll have the safety of knowing he'll be able to run both OS's. (As if he'd ever want to....)

  • Virtual Chars - a new problem

Hi folks, new to the forum but been working with BW since version 1.2A!!!!
Anyway, I have implemented Virtual KF to allow me to rank values within a report. This solution was put in place to give a certain ranking when there are drill down and drill across chars on the same page.
The issues I have is that I would like to access different Virtual Char code depending on which query is being executed.
Virtual KF sit at the Cube level and execute the same code whenever a qurey with that KF is executed, I need to be able execute different code for the same Virtual KF for different queries
    any ideas?
