SDO_BATCH_SIZE=1 returns more than 1 row??

Question

I've had so many problems w/ spatial queries that I have to rewrite into iterative programming. Even w/ that, I have problems:
If I don't use the rownum <2 in the where clause, Ora returns back err# -1422 "exact fetch returns too many rows". Same problem w/ SDO_NUM_RES=1.

Hi,
Sorry for the sdo_num_res hint, I have not noticed it in your post.
But, I have tested both - SDO_NUM_RES and SDO_BATCH_SIZE and should say that SDO_NN works correctly.
Test environment: two spatially indexed tables with point data (POINT and POINT1).
SDO_BATCH_SIZE test:
SELECT P1.ID, P1.NAME
FROM POINT2 P1, POINT P
WHERE
SDO_NN(P1.GEOM, P.GEOM, 'sdo_batch_size=10') = 'TRUE'
AND P.ID = 168 AND ROWNUM <= 3;
Result: 3 rows
SDO_NUM_RES test:
SELECT P1.ID, P1.NAME
FROM POINT2 P1, POINT P
WHERE
SDO_NN(P1.GEOM, P.GEOM, 'sdo_num_res=3') = 'TRUE'
AND P.ID = 168;
Result: the same 3 rows
With 1 row result it also works correctly for me. So, there is really no bug in SDO_NN, you should check your data and the way how you access it trough spatial query.
