Se baja automáticamente el SBO Mailer.

Estimados Colegas,
Estoy teniendo un problema que el servicio del SBO Mailer, y es que se baja el servicio automáticamente.
Esto pasa con cualquier tipo de mensaje que se envíe no importando si tiene documentos adjuntos o amarrado a un Query. (Nota: 1282178).
Ya tuve un problema similar pero es cuando el SMTP no esta configurado correctamente o el mismo esta dando un mal servicio, pero en este caso ya probé dos servicios de SMTP distintos y el problema continúa.
Alguno le ha pasado este problema? estoy en B1 2007A PL46.

Gracias por remitir su incidente al foro de Business One en español. En relación a lo reportado podrias proporcionar la siguiente información:
- Eventos capturados en el visor de sucesos (Event Viewer) del sistema operativo en el dia/hora que se detuvo el servicio.
- Es el escenario replicable si se desactivan temporalmente : anti-virus, firewall, y/o anti-spyware.
- El servidor de correos esta instalado en el mismo servidor fisico en el que se encuentra instalado el Server Tools de Business One ?
- Es replicable el error con cualquier otra base de datos disponible en el servidor ?
- Han intentado replicar y reproducir el mismo incidente en su ambiente de pruebas ?
Por ultimo, indiquen versión y parche de Business One en uso.

SBO Mailer in a cluster environment

Hi,
I am currently facing an issue where when I install SBO Mailer on a cluster environment, the installation removes applications and license manager for some reason gets uninstalled.. When I want to uninstall the SBO Mailer, I do not see it under the Control Panel and neither do I see it in running in services. But if i look at the Service Manager the SBO Mailer Service is running.
The strange part is that after this installation, there is an add-on that stopped working.
Has anyone come across such a scenario?

To uninstall you have to first run the Server tools and there you can uncheck the sbo mailer. There is not way you can uninstall SBO mailer service and you cannot find it under control panel its a service...not an applicaiton.
Run the server tools and then choose repair.

SBO mailer working fine but attachment is not coming

We have configured the sbo mailer and mails are coming accordingly also, but attachments are missing in mails.

Hi Ravi,
Please check Right of Attachment Folder for user.
If user is not having Right to access Attachment Folder then Attachment will not come in mail.
Please provide sufficient right to user for attachment folder then check.

SBO Mailer issue

HI experts,
I have a 8.8 PL13 customer using SBO Mailer. They are experiencing some error since day 1 after upgrading to this Patch level.
They have email triggered by Alerts. However, this email is only sent once when this alert is triggered. Subsequent triggering of alert does not sent any email, although the status says the alert is triggered successfully.
When i tried sending email manually, i did not receive any emails. So i check Windows Event Viewer and found this error.
Faulting application b1mail.exe, version 8.80.231.0 stamp 4c572685, faulting module ntdl.dl, version 5.2.3790.4455, stamp 49900d60, debug? 0 fault address 0x0002a774
email configuration are as follow.
SMTP Server: 192.168.0.147
SMTP Port: 25
Encoding English (United Kingdom)
SMTP Client: Microsoft .NET
Authentication: Basic Authentication
Any help?

SBO Mailer not working on Client PC

Good Day,
I have installed SBO Mailer and configured successfully.
I login SAP on the server with a user, and it sends the emails succesfully.
When I login with that same user on a client, the email messages are no longer sending.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I think we are both getting confused here.
The SBO Mailer is installed on the server.
When trying to send an email message from a client(that is connected to the server running the SBO Mailer), the email is not going through.
If I send an email from the SAP-Client Software (ON THE SERVER) it is going through.

SBO Mailer - SMPT server configuration does not allow to send e-mails

HI Experts:
I have tried to configure the smtp server in the SBO Mailer. The test connection launch the message "Test Succeded; connected to server" when the SMTP Server field, is configured with the gmal SMTP address "smtp.gmail.com" and authentication option is "No authentication", however when this option is configured with Login Authentication the test conection generates de message " Login Authentication Failed" despite of fill the correct gmail username and password.
Another useful information:
-A query has been configured for sending by mail.
-The manager user has the same email account of the SBO Mailer configuration .
-SBO Mailer is running
-Attachements folder is defined
-SBO Mailer Scheduler is configured
-Data source and DB are selected.
-The port 25 is open.

Automator to select e-mail sender and copy text on excel

I need to use automator to select e-mail sender, extract specific text and append it on an excel sheet. is it possible?
I have OS Snow Leopard; Mail; a Master Excel 2011 file; several Output Excel 2011 files for the output
I want Automator to check daily if new mails, on a specific account, have been received that match the mail address with a given list of names and related mail address in the Master Excel.
If a new mail is present, Automator should: pick up specific text in the mail body; select and open the related Output Excel file (each output Excel file is saved with the name linked with the e-mail address in the Master Excel); append the text on the given worksheet in the Output Excel file; save the output file.
This should be done with all the received mails that match with the Master Excel file
Is it possible do this kind of thing with automator? may be with the support of VBA for some parts?
I would appreciate any suggestion or idea to resources to investigate

I had the same problem and it is a software bug.
SAP release for us a special sap note number 1278473 - "Followup E-mail doesnot contain text of Notes of Activity".
I dont know if this note was release for all customer, but you can open a message to sap asking help.
My message at sap was 946981/2008.

If you want to send emails internally to SAP users then no need to SBO log in required for sending mails. If you want to send external mails means to customers and vendors then you required to log in into SBO and have to follow SBO system.

Command to Stop and Start the SBO Mailer Service

Good day,
I have an issue on my SAP server (SAP 2007 SP01 PL10) where the SBO Mailer server is intermittently stopping. This is causing Emailed Alerts and emails from SAP to stop working.
I want to create a Scheduled Task in Windows to run a batch file which will stop then restart the SBO Mailer service.
Do you know the DOS command to stop and also start the SBO Mailer service?

We have had the same problem. I Added this scheduled task to Validate if service is running and to Restart if Necessary..
We are still working on this issue. I have a feeling itu2019s the SMTP rejecting the emails

Unable to Start/Stop SBO Mailer and SBO Backup services

Hi All,
With reference to the thread of the following Link : SBO Backup and Messenging Service - Starting , We have a customer on SAP B1 8.8 PL 16 and we faced the same issue wherein after restarting the server, SBO Mailer and SBO Backup services show status as starting and all buttons are greyed out.
As per the thread we did re-install the server tools and it worked fine. But when we restart the server again the same issue arises.

Dear Pritesh Shah,
please try the following:
Exit the Service Manager.
On the Server got to Start- > and locate the Icon of the Service Manager -> click right and "Use as Administrator.
After this open the Service Manager and take a look if you could activate the SBO Mailer and SBO Backup.

SBO Mailer, message fails to be sent

Hi,
I try to send invoices via SBO Mailer... the message appears in my SENT ITEMS (in Messages/alerts overview), but with a red X, meaning that there is an error while trying to send the message. When I try to send messages without attachments, it works.
How can I know what is the error ? I can see AOB1.Confirmed2 = 'E', but is there a field or another table where I can see the source of the error ?
Is there a timeout that can be configured within SBO Mailer ? Our customer has a slow internet connection, but when trying to send those invoices (in PDF) via Outlook, it works... so how can I know what's wrong with the mails containing attachments ?

Error 35 - this error occurs when trying to send an e-mail with an attachment, that cannot be created or accessed via the Attachments path as defined in SAP Business One. It is necessary to verify that there are no folder restrictions on the Attachments folder. It is also necessary to verify that the created attachment has a valid name. In case the operating system does not support the specific language used in SAP Business One, the Service Manager will not recognize the created file. In NT 4.0 Servers, try running the SBO Mailer under an Administrator account, instead of under a Local service account.

Problem with email format in SBO Mailer

I use the SBO Mailer for send email. I can send and receive the mails but I have a problem in the format that SAP sent the email becuase put on tthe message before the line of signature a tag like " < BR "
Anyone knows how to eliminate the line of the signature? I think the problem it´s with this line.

Hi, I just write a little message and that´s it. In the mail appears my message and then '<BR' then a line and finally the signature. I tried to delete the signature but it´s the same problem

Can anyone help me with SBO Mailer configuration? As a part of post-installation activities, I am trying to configure SBO Mailer in SAP service manager, but have no clue about SMTP server and port. In AdministratorGuide there is not much about it. I need more specific guide, specially regarding SMTP server and port.

SAPB1 email (SBO mailer) needs restarting

Hi All,
Time and time again we have to manually restart SBO mailer (or email service under license manager). this is because email stop working without any apparent issue. This has been an ongoing issue with many installations. I wonder if there is a permanent solution to this issue? Obviously customers are unhappy that someone has to manually restart SBO mailer to clear the outbox. We have tried all settings (setting intervals to 5 min etc).
