SE/SW Cad Integration -- File Names

Hello All,
Just wanted to make sure in Solid Edge/Solid Work --SAP Integration that we for a Drawing and the Part from which views are generated there is no problem to keep file/original name unique (different). For example Part with file name Bracket.par (DIR 100085/sep/000/00) and its Drawing with file name Drawing_Bracket.dft (DIR100086/sed/000/00). The file names are different as you can see.
I create my file names by registering documents: "DokNr_DokDesc" hence they would be different.
Thanks,
Sachin

Thats abs right.
in system preferences >  register doc
what u set here will take the name for hard disk.
actually it should take DocumentNumber_descrip.par
and likewise
even if u dont do this, it ok..

  • UCCX 8.5: CSQ Name Displayed in CAD Integrated Broswer?

    Cisco Forum:
    Can UCCX 8.5 for the Cisco Agent Desktop (CAD) provide the CSQ Name in the Integrated Broswer portion of the CAD?  That is, the CAD can be used to pop a web link to agents on incoming calls.  While the CAD can show the CSQ Name by default, it does so in a reasonable small font amid other data.  Can some call script variable be set for the CSQ Name which would then be used to dynamically pop a unique web link on CAD Integrated Browser which would then display whatever is configured as a web link to display?
    As an alternative, can agents using the CAD also have a IP Phone display of the CSQ Name.
    Thank you for your comments and suggestions.
    Dan

    Before you can pass the CSQ name to the integrated browser you must first have the script pass the CSQ name to the CAD. It needs to show in the top left panel where the ANI is currently displayed.
    See this link for an example of how to create a layout and the script changes to pass a value to CAD.
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3478154#3478154
    You can then build a dynamic URL in the desktop administrator with the CSQ name.

  • B2B 11g: Getting File Name in inbound integration and passing it to SOA

    Hi,
    I am Reading a EDI x12 file in inbound B2B .I am checking the 'preserve File Name' check Box at Listening channel properties.....Then Integrating B2B to soa using AQ Adapter.But I couldn't find any property where I can pass the file name which I read through B2b to Composite. I need the file name because I am inserting all the records in Database and client wants to see which record in DB has been inserted from which file.
    Any pointers would be helpful.

    Hello,
    Try to use the b2b.fileName property. Although it probably is not shown on the list you should be able to access it.
    Also, please check the patch 18021286 which has many improvements and allows for two cases that can be useful for you:
    - Get information on back-end about which channel and agreement was used to deliver
    - Using callout Ret values which allow for specific properties to be set on callouts and passed all the way until the back-end application.
    Hope this helps.

  • Nowhere to type file name in save as dialog, is this normal . . .

    Hello;
    here's the problem;
    I'm having some problems with my main worksation and I'm going to probably rebuild it from scratch
    (HDD problem & an AVG Baked registry & network stack)
    so I've started by installing AA 2.0 (Full) onto one of  my backup systems
    & will follow with AA3.0 (Upgrade) if I can verify that the system can do the job for me
    here's the problem;
    I installed AA2.0 which is needed to get AA3.0(upgrade) to install
    but I haven't activated or registered yet because I don't want to waste any activations
    if I can't use the system
    is it normal for the save as dialog to not have a place to type a file name when AA isn't activated?
    System:
    HP/Compaq DC7600
    P4HT enabled 3.2GHz
    2GB DDR2 533MHz RAM
    Lots of HDD Space on 5 HDDs
    sidebar:
    why is my insertion point moved all over the page while I type this in firefox?

    thanks for the reply:
    don't know if this some sort of a display redraw issue:
    but if I just hit enter I get the file saved as untitled.wav (which is floating in the middle of the screen not in the correct location)
    and the file ends up in "My Music Folder" (which I never use, but can't change folders either)
    -good grief I hate M$ for their My . . . crap folders
    the system is using similar Intel-GMA integrated graphics as my main workstation
    the only difference is processors and the chipset is one generation back
    my main workstation has 965ry and the backup has 945g

  • SharePoint 2010, Visual Studio 2010, Packaging a solution - The specified path, file name, or both are too long. The fully qualified file name must be less than 260 characters, and the directory name must be less than 248 characters.

    Hi,
    I have a solution that used to contain one SharePoint 2010 project. The project is named along the following lines:
    <Company>.<Product>.SharePoint - let's call it Project1 for future reference. It contains a number of features which have been named according
    to their purpose, some are reasonably long and the paths fairly deep. As far as I am concerned we are using sensible namespaces and these reflect our company policy of "doing things properly".
    I first encountered the following error message when packaging the aforementioned SharePoint project into a wsp:
    "The specified path, file name, or both are too long. The fully qualified file name must be less than 260 characters, and the directory name must be less than 248 characters."
    I went through a great deal of pain in trying to rename the project, shorten feature names and namespaces etc... until I got it working. I then went about gradually
    renaming everything until eventually I had what I started with, and it all worked. So I was none the wiser...not ideal, but I needed to get on and had tight delivery timelines.
    Recently we wanted to add another SharePoint project so that we could move some of our core functinality out into a separate SharePoint solution - e.g. custom workflow
    error logging. So we created another project in Visual Studio called:
    <Company>.<Product>.SharePoint.<Subsystem> - let's call it Project2 for future reference
    And this is when the error has come back and bitten me! The scenario is now as follows:
    1. project1 packages and deploys successfully with long feature names and deep paths.
    2. project2 does not package and has no features in it at all. The project2 name is 13 characters longer than project1
    I am convinced this is a bug with Visual Studio and/or the Package MSBuild target. Why? Let me explain my findings so far:
    1. By doing the following I can get project2 to package
    In Visual Studio 2010 show all files of project2, delete the obj, bin, pkg, pkgobj folders.
    Clean the solution
    Shut down Visual Studio 2010
    Open Visual Studio 2010
    Rebuild the solution
    Package the project2
    et voila the package is generated!
    This demonstrates that the package error message is in fact inaccurate and that it can create the package, it just needs a little help, since Visual Studio seems to
    no longer be hanging onto something.
    Clearly this is fine for a small time project, but try doing this in an environment where we use Continuous Integration, Unit Testing and automatic deployment of SharePoint
    solutions on a Build Server using automated builds.
    2. I have created another project3 which has a ludicrously long name, this packages fine and also has no features contained within it.
    3. I have looked at the length of the path under the pkg folder for project1 and it is large in comparison to the one that is generated for project2, that is when it
    does successfully package using the method outlined in 1. above. This is strange since project1 packages and project2 does not.
    4. If I attempt to add project2 to my command line build using MSBuild then it fails to package and when I then open up Visual Studio and attempt to package project2
    from the Visual Studio UI then it fails with the path too long error message, until I go through the steps outlined in 1. above to get it to package.
    5. DebugView shows nothing useful during the build and packaging of the project.
    6. The error seems to occur in
    CreateSharePointProjectService target called at line 365 of
    Microsoft.VisualStudio.SharePoint.targetsCurrently I am at a loss to work out why this is happening? My next task is to delete
    project2 completely and recreate it and introduce it into my Visual Studio solution.
    Microsoft, can you confirm whether this is a known issue and whether others have encountered this issue? Is it resolved in a hotfix?
    Anybody else, can you confirm whether you have come up with a solution to this issue? When I mean a solution I mean one that does not mean that I have to rename my namespaces,
    project etc... and is actually workable in a meaningful Visual Studio solution.

    Hi
    Yes, I thought I had fixed this my moving my solution from the usual documents  to
    c:\v2010\projectsOverflow\DetailedProjectTimeline
    This builds ok, but when I come to package I get the lovely error:
    Error 2 The specified path, file name, or both are too long. The fully qualified file name must be less than 260 characters, and the directory name must be less than 248 characters. C:\VS2010\ProjectsOverflow\DetailedProjectTimeline\VisualDetailedProjectTimelineWebPart\Features\Feature1\Feature1.feature VisualDetailedProjectTimeline
    Now, the error seems to be related to
    Can anyone suggest what might be causing this. Probably some path in an XML file somewhere. Here is my prime suspect!
    <metaData>
    <type name="VisualDetailedProjectTimelineWebPart.VisualProjectTimelineWebPart.VisualProjectTimeline, $SharePoint.Project.AssemblyFullName$" />
    <importErrorMessage>$Resources:core,ImportErrorMessage;</importErrorMessage>
    </metaData>
    <data>
    <properties>
    <property name="Title" type="string">VisualProjectTimelineWebPart</property>
    <property name="Description" type="string">My Visual WebPart</property>
    </properties>
    </data>
    </webPart>
    </webParts>
    .... Unless I can solve this I will have to remove the project and recreate but with simple paths. Tho I will be none the wiser if I come across this again.

  • How to allow user to select pdf file on local machine and populate field with file name only

    Folks,
    I have a project requirement that I am stumped on.  I am admittedly a novice, so forgive questions that may seem obvious.
    My requirement is a form running on a client system where the user can click a button and select a PDF file name from a PDF on their local machine and then populate a form field with that file path & filename.  The file names vary between all machines, so there is no static list.  Note that the PDF is not embedded, nothing is executed, I simply need the file name.
    There are several of these on a form (20+), so manual name entry is too error prone.   I would like to use a 'browse' type dialog, but can not figure out how to implement it.
    I've looked at app.browseForFile, but the users can not install a javascript file in their adobe folder or any other files;  the functionality has to be integral with the original PDF.
    Functionally, this is no different from the image object file browse, except that I need a PDF instead of an image file, so there doesn't seem like there should be a security issue that is any different from those surrounding the image object.
    I've been stumped on this for the entire week, and I have a deadline rapidly approaching, so any examples or suggestions (please remember I'm a novice) would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks for the reply Paul - do you have any sample code of how to attach the PDF?  Or how the user can select a PDF to open?  I might be able to attach it, retrieve the file name, and then un-attach it.
    Alternatively, do you know how to retrieve the file name from the imagePath object?  It will let you select PDF files, but I can't find info on how to retrieve the file name.   It should be the way you would retrieve the file name for an image.
    As a novice in this, thanks for your help and patience!

  • How to retreive the dynamic file name in the AAE configuration?

    Hi Guys,
    I have configured File to File with the integrated configuration and in the mapping i need to retreive the file name dynamically and i am unable to retreive it from the run time in AAE configuration. I am able to retreive with the normal configuration where integration engine is the run time.
    I am using the code as below.  Is it possible to retreive the file name dynamically in the AAE configuration? any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
    String ourSourceFileName = conf.get(key);
    return  ourSourceFileName;
    Thanks,
    Srini

    Hello Srinivas,
    Brief Solution:
    1. Using dynamic configuration, set the attribute value of payload dynamically to ASMA
    2. Using AF module, write the value of ASMA in a variable
    3. Using the variable substitution, set the receiver file name schema

  • File name in FCC receiver adapter

    How to do this ?
    The filename will have the following format:
    AAAAAA_BBBB_CCCCCCCC_DDDDDD
    Where: AAAAAA  First 6 digits of first  field
    BBBB  4 digit  Company Code second field
    CCCCCCCC  Current system date in YYYYMMDD format
    DDDDDD  Current system time in HHMMSS format.

    If you go with Variable substitution, certain things are not possible such as "AAAAAA  First 6 digits of first  field".

  • Listening channel : File name format.

    Hi All,
    We have below use case.
    1# We need to poll and read files from EDI_OUT folder using Generic-FTP.
    2# The files in that folder will follow  EDIOUT_TimeStamp.txt format.

    Then what configuration changes we need to make , So that the listening channel delivers these files to GREEK_To_LATIN agreement.
    in simple words, Can we read files which does not contain FROM_TP as starting string in their file names.?

  • How to keep original file name in File- Soap- Soap- File scenario?

    Hi Gurus,
    I have a requirement as bleow:
    There are two PI landscape for two different company and they are communicating using Soap adapter. We need to pass a flat file cross the two PI now, and need to keep the original file name.Anyone could shed some lights on this?
    Thanks,
    Rajesh

    Hi Rajesh - See if you can make use of Dynamic configuration bean. I'm not sure if it works but you can give a try..
    Unknown use case of DynamicConfigurationBean: Store file name to JMS header without mapping
    Adding DynamicConfigurationBean in the Module Processor - SAP NetWeaver Process Integration - SAP Library
    Set the adapter specific attributes in file sender channel for filename
    swap the file name value to any other soap adapter attribute in the receiver channel using the above module
    again swap the attributes in soap sender channel(your second system)
    receiver file channel enable ASMA.

  • PDF file transfer writing target file with the same source file name

    Hi to all,
    I want to transfer a PDF file from a SOURCE folder to a TARGET folder. My problem is that I want the target pdf file has the same name of the source pdf file. How can I do this? I have to look for some parameters in the sender or receiver channels?
    Thanks to all.

    Hi Gabriele,
    If you want to FTP the pdf file from source to target directory, use this blog.  It doesn't require any IR devlopment.
    /people/william.li/blog/2006/09/08/how-to-send-any-data-even-binary-through-xi-without-using-the-integration-repository
    Also, In sender and receiver comm channels select "Set/Use Adapter specific message attributes" and "File Name" to get the same file name in the target directory.

  • When I save a PDF report the file name is xdo instead of "report name.pdf"

    Hi,
    I started a new project with BI Publisher integrated with OBIEE, I builded a set of reports that are working properly (these are the first reports on this OBIEE/BIP server)
    Accessing Oracle BI Cataloge I can run the reports and change the output format to pdf.
    when I press the right mouse button and select "save as" a dialog box appears.
    On the "File name" field, the default name that BIP writes is "xdo" I would like it to be the "name of the report.pdf".
    It seems that if I create a new report the file name is correct but if I change the name of the report then BIP always selects XDO as the default file name.
    Is there any place where I can configure the default name.

    Thanks for the quick reply.  I figured out how to get the desired results by using tagging.  For anyone who may reference this post in the future, I went to "Customize" in the top right corner of Adobe, then selected "Create new tool set...", looked under "accessiblity and found the "tag" option.  Hit ok, tag is added to the toolbar.  Then I highlighted the dataset in the PDF that was relevant to the output format, then clicked "tag", saved as spreadsheet.  Sorry I can't provide more details on how tagging works or if there's a more elegant solution available, but I'm sure one's out there.

  • Getting Receive File Name and status of application from Biztalk database.

    Hello all,
    I want to retrieve Receive file name and status of application (started, partially started) in a stored procedure
    querying Biztalk databases.
    Please share if anybody have an Idea.
    Thanks

    Hi Nilesh,
    Status of BizTalk application can be obtained using ExplorerOM API provided by product. It's Application class has a Status property that returns one of Not Applicable, Started, Stopped, Partially Started.
    using Microsoft.BizTalk.ExplorerOM;
    private string GetApplicationStatus(string applicationName)
    BtsCatalogExplorer catalog = new BtsCatalogExplorer();
    string status = "";
    try
    //connection string to BizTalk management database
    catalog.ConnectionString = "SERVER=.;DATABASE=BizTalkMgmtDb;Integrated Security=SSPI";
    Microsoft.BizTalk.ExplorerOM.Application app = catalog.Applications[applicationName];
    if (app == null)
    throw new Exception(String.Format("Application '{0}' cannot be found.", applicationName));
    status = app.Status.ToString();
    catch (Exception ex)
    //Handle exception
    System.Diagnostics.EventLog.WriteEntry("MyMonitoryingApp", "Exception call stack: " + ex.ToString());
    finally
    if (catalog != null) { catalog.Dispose(); }
    return status;

  • File to File, multiple receivers, file name shrink between IE and AE

    Hi Expetrs,
    I have a scenario, where there is a FTP sender adapter with adpater specific message attributes on for file name and folder. Then on Integration Engine, the message is sent to two receivers and the messages go back to Adapter engine. On receiver communicate via FTP including secure connection, one NFS... But what I see is that the file name is different for NFS and FTP receiver. NFS file name is shrinked, and FTP contains the source value...
    The point is that when I'm checking message header on adapter engine for NFS receiver I see that the file name is shrinked from
    DBDC-PROD_GMA_28042014060034679_AFB120.SNL18169D11398664841838226S
    to
    DBDC-PROD_GMA_28042014060034679_AFB120.SNL1816
    For FTP it is ok.
    On Integration engine both messages contains still correct file name, so I believe the file name is shrinked on AE...
    Do you know why?
    Best regards,
    Milan

    Hi Iñaki,
    You mean the receiver business system OS? How does the adapter engine knows the receiver OS?...
    I really see in AE in message header for two messages two different file names, even the source is just one message with one file name... I think this is really some kind of issue in PI.
    Thanks for answer,
    Milan

    i have a problem when saving files:
