Se16N- table field is grayed out.....

when I go through tocode SE16N, here fields Table and Text table are comming grayed out.
so I am unable to put any table.
Can anybody suggest me regarding this ?

Functional Location field is Grayed out in change mode

Dear Experts ,
I have created an equipment automatically through serial number managed material .
But the equipment created has no functional location assigned to it .
Also when in change mode of the equipment the functional location field is grayed out & there is no provision to dismantle & reassign the same .
Pls tell me how can i assign a functional loaction to this automatically created equipment ??

Equipments --> Equipment Uasge Period --> Define Installation at functional Location
I have put a tick for the checkbox " Inst . at Func. Loc" against the said equipment category
Is ther anywhere else in IMG that i need 2 assign/check .
while trying 2 assign a functional location for this equipment the system give the error :
No InstallLocation entered: Data transfer not possible

Reason code field in grayed out when trying to change the document via FB02

I am trying to change a document via FB02. When I try to add a reason code to this document by giving these details in additional data segment of the document I am not able to do so as the field is grayed out.
Kindly advise me how to proceed with it.

Go to Tcode - OB32
Click on new entries
Input the following -
Field name = BSEG-RSTGR
Select Field can be changed
Save
This is will make the field editable in change mode.

Repeating Table Headers--Boxes grayed out

I want the headers of some tables to repeat at the top of each page. (The tables have rows that can be added or deleted.) I think I know how this should be done: On Header Row settings, under "Project">"Pagination" the check boxes for "Include Header Row in Initial Page" and "Include Header Row in Subsequent Pages" should be check off. But they are grayed out! What am I missing? The Header Row is delineated as a Header Row" in both the Row Type and the Accessibility Role.

Nuts. I didn't want to send the whole form, so I just copied the subform, saved it to use as an example, and in THAT table, it isn't grayed out.
But I figured it out! If the table is in a subform that is POSITIONED, those boxes get grayed out; It seems it has to be in a FLOWED subform to be able to check off those boxes. So, I wrapped it in a FLOWED subform, and put THAT subform in a POSITIONED one.
This LiveCycle can get frustrating at times. Thanks for all the help on this forum!

After using Adobe Acrobat Pro 8 successfully for 2 1/2 years I have run into a problem: all of a sudden I cannot create forms from already created PDF files.
My last form was in March, but now the " Run Auto Field Detection" is grayed out.
What should I do to correct this problem ? For our business this is important and the time difference is 1-2 hours versus 3-5 minutes.

Serial number field is grayed out when re-installing

On a once working system(NT), I started getting "can't start NI488" errors... in event viewer I see that "GPIB Device class driver depends on GPIB board class - not found" and another similar event error that states "GPIB class driver requires port group - not started". I have un-installed and re-installed the software and board several times with no effect. I suspect the problem is that during the install process when it comes time to "configure" the board, the serial number drop-down box is grayed out and cannot be accessed. I have verifed the PNP setting are "off" in the BIOS as noted in the one related article I found in the knowledge base.
Any other thoughts would be most appreciated.

I'm a little bit stumped too. Be sure that NI-488.2 is at least version 1.60 (I'm not sure,but I think that's the one on your CD), otherwise download it from our website.
Things you can try (again).
1. Remove all PCI boards you have.
2. Remove NI-488.2 under Add/remove programs
3. Clean the registry with a "registry cleaner". Don't forget to make a backup of the registry first.
4. Clean the registry by hand. Search for GPIB entries and delete them.
5. Install again the GPIB driver.
6. Configure the board.
Hopefully that works, otherwise you have to think about the last step. ---> Install NT again. Unfortunately without guarantee that this will help.

Infoset - Field selection grayed out for few of them?

I have created an Infoset b/w InfoObject and ODS. Some of Info Object attributes selection is grayed out. In other words I am not able to select them.
Why only few attribute selection is grayed out? Is there any way I can make them selectable?

Does anyone know why the Setting NAME & DESCRIPTION fields are grayed out?

I'm using Compressor 3.0.5 and it works fine, except that I cannot reach the Settings "Name" or "Description" fields to alter them. As I'm going about finding the perfect setting for whatever application I need, I'd like to change the name and description to match. I can "save as..." and rename it, but I cannot change the one-line description that sits under the name in the list.
What am I doing wrong? The manual says I should be able to do this and I always had been able to in previous versions.

Those changes can only be made when the preset is in the Settings window.
So, drag a setting to a target in the Batch window, tweak it until you're satisfied,
then do a Save As. Now select the Preset you just saved +from the Settings window.+
Doing so makes the name and description fields editable.

Profit Analysis field grayed out

I am trying to configure the "Activate Project Management in Controlling area" in PS. When I am trying to activate the components, the Profit Analysis field is grayed out. Since we are implementing COPA at our current client, I assume that this component shopuld be active.
Please let me know how do I activate this component.

Grayed out field, but there is no screen variant in SHD0

I am in the middle of a configuration of sales order using Third Party.
In VOV6 for the incompletion Procedure (V_TVEP-FEHGR) the field is grayed out and wont allow an input.
How can I find out where is the code to make this happen, I already look on SHD0 and there are no variants for that program/screen.

Switch on the debugger(/h) before calling the tcode.
Now oen tcode..in debugger, place breakpoint at statement - MODIFY.
Now keep pressing F8 and look for MODIFY SCREEN, which will be there after graying out the field.

PPD field grayed out.....How do I get the PPD field populated? Windows 7 x64

I have an employee running Illustrator in the Creative Cloud and for whatever reason her PPD field is grayed out when she goes to print. My other two employees running this both have the Fiery file for the printer we have as an option. Any idea how I can get the PPD field populated?

Permissions issues on the PPD files or the printer... Or the driver has never been fully installed in the first place due to whatever technical or again permissions issues...

Log & Capture Title Field Grayed Out/Can't Write

While logging clips from a mini-dv tape (in Log & Capture), I clicked in the title field and that field suddenly grayed out and I cannot write in the title field. My temporary solution is to check "prompt" so that I can write titles for clips after I log them. Log and Capture work fine as does everything else in FC 7. I tried trashing prefs but no luck. Any suggestions or solutions out there?

Well, I can accept that that's normal, although I'd say it's nonoptimal UI design, since it made me think I was onto my problem.

"name" field grayed out in Log and Capture

I'm using the latest version of FCP and for some reason the "name" field is grayed out in the log and capture tool. Even when i select "prompt" the clip goes untitled into the logging bin. I am capturing on the fly with no deck control. However, if i try to log a clip with deck control, the prompt works but i still can not enter a clip name in the "name" field on it's own.
any suggestions?

Currently our master data is created and changed in system A and ALE'd to system B. When i go to MM02 i cant change the material in System B as all fields are grayed out.
Can some one please tell me where the config is so that the users can change these fields.

The system will be setup in such a way that the MDM is maintained in only one SAP system and ALEd to other system thro IDOCs. Hence you will not be able to change the master data in the receiving system as it is not allowed to create or change any master data. Only display is allowed. All this is done thro the Security by protecting the authorizations.
