Search Asset according to Asset type name

Hello experts,
please, is there a possibility to search Asset according to Asset Type name (which is visible in T.Code AS03 on tab Origin)?
Or is this value available in some standard report?

I found it - in transaction S_ALR_87011963 it is possible to click on Dynamic selections and there in Origin data doubleclick on Type name.

Hi,
Is that a built-in type? If not and if it's based on the built-in type text then you can use "TextSearchConstraint". Otherwise try with "NullSearchConstraint".

OER - Identical asset names in different asset types not possible

We are creating a service repository in the OER. The repository contains a logical level and a physical level, with logical service entities and physical service entities. We first defined a metamodel and implemented the objects in the metamodel as asset types in the OER.
Now we encounter the problem that it is not possible that assets in differet asset types have the same name and version. Why is that? Shouldn't it be possible to have a logical and physical service with the same name? Is there a way to make this possible, to adjust the constraints in the OER for example?

as per my knowled u cant reverse document in he current fiscal year which was posted in the last year it's not sujjestable also
because u already closed all the records related to last fiscal year

Payable Open Interface Import---Asset Book name is being generated

Hi,
I am working on Payables Open Interface Import in R12.
I am not generating the 'Track as Asset Flag' and 'Asset Book Type Code' fields in Ap_invoice_lines_nterface table.
And the distribution account is also an Expense account.
But after the payables open interface import is completed, the asset book name is being populated in ap_invoice_lines_all table.
and as a result, recoverable and non recoverable tax lines are being created in the ap_invoice_distributions_all table making the invoice total and line total unequal.
Did any body faced a similar issue?
Please help....

You can use the commands like the following:

5. Retest the issue.
6. Migrate the solution as appropriate to other environments.

Not able to Render more than two asset type in a drop zone on page

Hi All,
I have created two different assets by making two different flex family.
I need to render these two assets in a single drop zone on a page.
Can some one tell me how is it possible to make a drop zone on page which will be able to take two different type of assets because while creating Page attribute when i select page attribute of type asset there is no option through which i can select more than two asset types.

While creating page attribute on admin site,when we select attribute type as "asset" a dropdown list comes just below through which we can select only a single asset.
how to use a list option here or how can we create it so that it can be used with various asset types.
Also in avisports site there is no drop zone which can contain more than one asset of different type.
The Drop zone contains here all the assets of same type.

I need to know whether it is possible for me to manually add a custom asset type to the already existing list of Asset types in OER.
There is no specific asset type for BPA. I need to create an asset type for BPA.. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I have found the solution myself..
It can be done from "Asset Editor" Application.
Actions menu -> Manage Types . A new Application "Type Manager" opens. Click on File -> New option and we can create our own asset types..

Using rich text editor in new asset type input form

Hey everyone,
I'm currently trying to create assets based on a newly created asset type (which I of course, created). However, the STORAGE property I declared in the asset definition file is to support formatted text, which would normally be pasted from word documents. Note that I'm using the Basic Asset Model.
Thus, I need a rich-text editor to be used in the content input form. So, after looking at the tags reference in the developer's documentation, I thought that I could use EWEBEDITPRO to achieve my goal but there's always an error mentionning that the component can't be launched. I supposedly have to configure two parameters, one of them being the path for ewebeditpro.js. I looked for that but haven't found it. On the other hand, I looked at the Oracle WebCenter Sites Property File document and that one stated that EWEBEDITPRO is deprecated and not supported (?!?!).
So in short, what can I use, as a rich-text/html editor?? Thanks in advance for any reply!

Thanks. From what I've read in the developer's guide, CKEditor was available with assets built from the Flex model. However, I'm currently having a hard time trying to display the content of an attribute with content input through the CKEditor, because it's stored in a blob. Although I've found several examples showing how to read the content of a blob, none of them worked for me...

This just started happening less than a week ago. Before that, everything was fine. I do not know what happened to cause this. What is a "build-in about home page?" I really do not know about all this technical stuff. Is the location bar the same as my search window.....in the middle of the page.....that I use to type things in? I never type ANYTHING in the top of the screen bar that is located on the same line as the "back" and "forward" button. What do I do now?

Oracle OER Asset Type vs Asset Function

I've just begun populating our Oracle Enterprise Repository (11.1.1.4.0), and I have a query about values used for Asset Type and Asset Function ...
When I submit a Service asset, it appears in the editor under Submitted, Pending Review
Once Accepted, it moves to Submitted, Under Review
and once reviewed, updated and registered it moves to the "Registered" folder
BUT, the Registered folder contains a range of sub-folders which correspond to the values of AssetFunction
I'd prefer to see sub-folders based on AssetType - i.e. Services, Applications, Interfaces etc.
Does anybody have any comments ?

Thanks again for your response. I do indeed have the situation you describe ... coarse-grained services calling finer-grained services.
I have recorded both types of service in OER as Service assets (using different values of Asset Function to differentiate between the two types of Service), and I've created References/Is Referenced By relationships between the Services.
That works well for Services with a single operation, but if the target Service is a Data Service with a range of CRUD-type operations I can currently only record the relationship between the calling service and the target Data Service.
There is no indication of which operation(s) the calling Service uses.
This is what I was referring to as fine-grained impact analysis.
I could change the meta-model to add an Operation asset and model the relationships that way, but are there other options that you're aware of ?

Display Asset super number & asset super name field in AR02 report

Customer requirement is to display asset super number & asset super name field in AR02 report. When we execute the Asset History Sheet report, we are not able to display these to field (Asset super number & asset super name). If any option available regarding this to add these field in layout, please assist.

Hi Raj,
You can create your own sorting varaint which you choose at the time of report execution. Currently you have chosen 0001.
Define your own varaint In OAVI and define the field you reuire for output select in AR02 , it will show the field in layout.

Fixed Assets - Asset Type - Low Value Assets

What is the difference between setting Asset Class Asset Type field as LVA (Low Value Asset) instead of General?
I am using 2007A SP01 PL07 Australian localisation.
I am interested in the behaviour of the LVA Asset Class and assets that belong to that Class.

By definition, LVA stands for:
An asset for which the acquisition and production costs, less any included sales tax, does not exceed a legally pre-defined amount.
Low-value assets can usually be completely written off within the period in which they are acquired.
It depends on different localizations.

ValidationException: Duplicate type name

I am trying to deploy an ejb web service to oc4j 10.1.3.1.1 from JDeveloper 10.1.3.2. During deployment I get this exception thrown:

My interface looks like this:

This interface is implemented with a simple stateless session bean (where I do not have any web service specific annotations, mainly because JDeveloper did insert any there when it auto-generated the web service interface). Both Version and ServiceType are EJB 3.0 entity beans which extend gov.mi.mdch.mcirhl7.data.Select. If I change ServiceType so that it does not extend Select, then it deploys fine. Same if I just comment out queryServiceTypeFindAll() altogether. However, when I successfully deploy the web service, the generated WSDL and mapping file make no mention of the Select class, so I don't see why there's a problem with that class when more than one of my List types extends it.
I've been searching for a solution to this problem for most of the week to no avail. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Joel,
You may have some encounter some backward incompatibility between the code generated for 10.1.3.2, when you run the application in the embedded container and when you deploy on a remote instance using 10.1.3.1.
It may be worth trying to re-assemble the application using JDev 10.1.3.1 or use the command line (or ant integration) of WSA to build the application that you target at the 10.1.3.1 instance using the same version of the tooling.
Chapter 18 of the user guide provide details about ant commands.

API8532: Internal Error: Language Validation can't create a unique type nam

When I tried to validate an expression for a field in EXPRESSION operator in OWB, I got the error message:
java.lang.Exception: ValidationError?
java.lang.Exception: API8532: Internal Error: Language Validation can't create a unique type name when attempting to deploy a validation package.
Can you please help me out in this matter?
