Search box text used by command-F search - can this be changed?

I started using Safari much more in Leopard than I previously did before. One annoying thing I have discovered is that if I use the search box to search the Internet, whatever I entered now becomes the search text when I use command-g (Find again) or command-f (Find).
This is not the behavior I am accustomed to with Firefox. In Firefox using the search box has no affect on the text used by command-f (Find) and command-g (Find again).
I have looked through the preferences and options but haven't found anyway to change Safari's behavior. Do you have a solution?

I must admit you have me stumped as well. I noticed that command-f also picks up what I last entered in Spotlight and the search text is retained across Safari restarts.
For the life of me I can't see where it's picking this information from. I even searched all my user files via find/grep to see where it was storing it between starts - nothing found...
The only good thing about the 'weirdness' is that the search text is selected by default so you can immediately overwrite it.
Very odd...

Yes, that appears how Mavericks works right now. However, you can open the Address Panel, select all your contacts, then click the To (or CC, or Bcc) buttons to move the selection to the address field.
If it is not already in the Toolbar, right-click on the Toolbar and select Customize Toolbar…
Then, drag the address panel up to wherever you want it.
You may also want to add it to the New Message window in the same way.

When you right (control) click on the disk and click eject "disk name", do you pull it immeadiatly or wait a few seconds for it to unmount? Try waiting and see if you get the same message. If you do, when the disk is connected go to applications/utilities/disk utility, after opening DU, select the volume in question from the left side bar and try a permissions repair, you may also run verify disk and see if it comes up with any errors (they will be in red)

Recently the ID on sent texts comes thru as my Apple ID but no one knows me by that name/email. Can this be changed so that I come thru as my name if I'm a contact in their phone?

Check Settings>Messages>Send & Receive to make sure your phone number is listed and checked under "Start new conversations from". That was cause your iMessages to be addressed from your phone number rather than an email address. If the recipient has your number in their contacts, it will show as being from your name.

Convert PDF to Word - Tables are in Text Boxes using Acrobat 11. How can this be avoided?

I am using Acrobat 11 to convert PDF's to MS Word .doc or .docx. The tables are converted correctly but they are inside Text Boxes. My documents have hundreds of tables and I cant manually remove the text boxes.
Is there a way to remove the Text Box that contains each table?

My apologies. Hopefully you can see the table is inside a text box. The Acrobat 7 doesn't behave like this, nor do some of the other PDF conversion products.
In my output there is 700 pages with average of 3 tables per page. A manual workaround to get the tables out of the text boxes wouldn't be practicable.
Can you confirm that this is not the expected behaviour. I thought I recently saw a video showing this behaviour as standard for Acrobat 11.

Search bar backgroub dont show what i write, can this be change or the color of the letters can be change to black instead of white so i can see what i write?

when i open my Firefox browser i got Google as my home page and search engine so i click at the search bar and start typing, but i cant see what i write. i think this is do to the background of the search bar and also to the color of the letters which is white.

Are you using a theme or persona that may set the color to white?

Grey interface text is unacceptable in a professional product and workflow. Can this be changed?

I just updated to Acrobat DC on my work computer. All of the menues and interface text look like they are greyed out and disabled, but it is simply that the interface has been unilaterally changed to this difficult to read low-contrast mess.
The interface needs to be at least optionally changed back to standard black text for basic readability.
Alternately ,does anyone have a workaround / fix for this I am missing?

You may need to rebuild the editor preferences to resolve any conflicts.
Hold down the Ctrl+Shift+Alt keys and simultaneously click on the Edit button on the welcome screen. Release the three keys and look behind the welcome screen by closing it. Or hold down the keys whilst double clicking on PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe
You should see a pop up box with the words: Delete Adobe Photoshop Elements Settings File?
Click on Yes
Then wait whilst Elements rebuilds the preferences.

No, it's only with family sharing that child accounts can now be created (by the family organiser), you can't change existing accounts to be child accounts. You will either have to keep them with their existing adult accounts, or you can create new child accounts for them : Family Sharing and Apple IDs for kids - Apple Support
