• Packaging a PAR as Part of a EAR

Hello
I have found documentation regarding Packaging a PAR as Part of a EAR on http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2004/helpdata/en/76/27044017355c0ce10000000a1550b0/content.htm
Though I managed to do it manually (i.e. meddling with the application-j2ee-engine.xml and manipulate the PAR file into the EAR file), my question is:
How do i do it the right way, using the NW04 Developer Studio ?
What i mean is, that when I use the NW04 Developer Studio, and create a EAR project, it seems as if I can not add any other files into it other than WEB or EJB modules. However, in this case I need to add a PAR file into the Ear...
In other words, is there a way to perform the actions described in http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2004/helpdata/en/76/27044017355c0ce10000000a1550b0/content.htm
using the NW04 Developer Studio ?
Thanks

• How to make Spotlight search iMovie packages

I want spotlight to look through my iMovie package files when searching my disks. This worked when the movie projects were stored in files & folders, but now it seems like the package contents are 'invisible' to spotlight. Are there any settings that can be modified?
iMac G4 1GHz Mac OS X (10.4.6)

JohanR,
Spotlight, as you've found out, doesn't not search inside of packages.
There's probably a way around it by tweaking the Spotlight.plist file but that's beyond my realm of expertise.
A simpler solution is to get a piece of freeware called EasyFind.
It has a setting that allows it to search within packages.

• SRM content package

Hello gurus,
Within XI it is possible to import a SRM Content package. This package contains some standard Integration Scenario's for example:
- FDPSPurchaseOrderReportingScenario
- Plan_Driven_Procurement_SupplierEnablement
- Service_Procurement_SUppliesEnablement
So all objects are defined in the Integration Repository, now I know that there are manuals about configurating these standard SRM Scenario's in the Integration Directory but I cannot find them. Does anyone know where to find the documentation about configuring these standard integration scenario's???
Thanks for the help!

Hi
To download XI content from SAP Service Marketplace, access the SAP Software Distribution Center ( http://service.sap.com/swdc ).
Select the tab Downloads. In the navigation area, select Download → Support Packages and Patches → Entry by Application Group. On the page Support Packages and Patches select SAP Content, on the following page select Process Integration Content (XI Content).
In this link that opens you will see the SAP provided content and one of them will be for SRM.

• How to search content items in the folder( include subfolders) with API?

I want use UCM API to search contents in the folders including subfolders. I need a example code. thank you !

If you have Folders properly installed, Standard Search form will have 'Folder' field and 'Include subfolders' check box. This means that you can use normal http function call to get results.
Example:
http://content.ravenna.com/idc/idcplg?IdcService=GET_SEARCH_RESULTS&QueryText=&SearchQueryFormat=UNIVERSAL&ftx=&AdvSearch=True&folderChildren=7&ResultCount=20&SortField=dInDate&SortOrder=Desc

I have a simple yes/no question: is the new search webpart capable of filtering based on target audiences? And if so: how can we configure this?

Hi J Siegmund,
As far as I know, the search content web pat have not the audience target ,If you want to use it, I suggest you use Content Query web part. You can refer to the following link.

• [SOLVED] search just package name (not description) with yaourt

Is there a way to search just package names (not package descriptions) with yaourt or pacman? I'm imagining something like this:
$ yaourt -Ss --pkgname-only xterm
Thanks!
Last edited by partner55083777 (2010-02-03 16:30:43)

My question still stands as to how I can search just package names. If it is using another program other than yaourt or pacman, that is okay.
"yaourt -Ss SEARCH_STRING" has been working as stated in the documentation for me (with yaourt-0.9.2.6). It will return all packages that have SEARCH_STRING in either the package name or package description.
Here are the first three results when running this command:
$ yaourt -Ss emacs
extra/emacs 23.1-3 [installed]
The Emacs Editor
extra/snd 10.1-1
Snd is the emacs of sound editor
extra/texmacs 1.0.7-3
GNU TeXmacs is a free scientific text editor, which was both inspired by TeX
and GNU Emacs. WYSIWYG editor TeX-fonts and CAS-interface (Giac, GTybalt,
Macaulay 2, Maxima, Octave, Pari, Qcl, R and Yacas) in one.
$
It looks like it works as specified in the man pages:
-s, --search <'regexp'>
This will search each package in the sync databases for names or descriptions that match regexp.
When you include multiple search terms, only packages with descriptions matching ALL of those terms will be returned.

• [SOLVED] searching a package with pacman/yaourt

Sometimes i encounter a crash of kmix application on OS bootup. When i try submitting a bug report, it says that "The generated crash information is probably not useful'. The needed packages say i should be having, among others, 'libQtGui.so.4'
How do i search which package provides this file? I have tried a few options with -Q and -S, but that doesn't seem to work. Any pointers?

• How to disable spotlight searches inside packages

Hi,
I tagged all my files inside my document folder, now I'd like to create and save a smart folder searching for all the untagged files, just in case I create or move a file to that folder without tagging it first.
The problem is that I have several files, which are packages with other files in them (created with Scrivener, Devonthink, OmniOutliner...). These other files aren't tagged (and I don't need nor want to tag them) so they are showed in my spotlight search.
I can't exclude the folders containing these files in spotlight preference, since there are a lot of them and I often create new files of these kinds.
I would like to tell spotlight not to search inside packages. Is that possible?
thanks in advance,
pietro

You can't remove it so as it is fixed in the OS of the phone.

• TOC, Index, Search content not loading in FireFox 3.0 +

Hi,
I have created from RH 8 a merged Webhelp system (1 master, 2 children - based on Peter Grainge's posted procedure). It works fine from IE, and on my system, from FireFox 3.0 and up.
The problem is, that when deployed at the customer's site, the TOC, Index, and Search content does not load in FireFox. All frames display (Nav, contents, and the top frame), but the content for the TOC, Index, and Search does not load.
This only happens at the customer site. The webhelp system works okay in IE.
I have checked and we are running the same javascript version, have the same security settings in FireFox set.
I looked on Peter's site and implemented the redirect fix for FireFox that he has posted, but that hasn't seemed to fix the problem.
They aren't running any special toolbars (like Google toolbar). I am checking on add ons.
Does anyone have any ideas on what else I might check or better yet what might be causing the problem?
Thank you,
Tannis

Willam
A merge will not work properly unless all the projects have been generated once. After that it should not matter that a project is missing, indeed simply not publishing one of the projects to the server is one of the features of merging making it easy to supply different customers with different content.
I wonder if the problem you saw was because that project had not been generated.
Tannis
Sorry, the reference to AIR help was because you mentioned Snippet 141 which is AIR specific. I didn't look further back in the thread.
You said that the start page of a child project opens the tripane window with the default topic but you do not get the TOC etc. That rules out the merge being the problem. I am inclined to the view that the server is the issue so get your client to load the published output from my merge demo as that is a known quantity. Ask them to open each child project in turn and then finally the merge.

• Remove button in Content package - callable object in GP

Hi Friends,
I have created a callable object of type content package. I have used this E-Learning document Link : [https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/08d689d1-0c01-0010-c69c-808d2b1111d7]. I am able to test and execute the process in GP. But there is a button "OK" which is shown on the page. But I want to remove it. Could you please provide me with the options for removing the button. If it is not possible, what would be the alternate option that I could use?
Thanks in advance!
Saravanan

Hi Abhay,
While creating the Callable Object Select "Webdynpro Component (GP Interface) and click on next. In the next screen you will see the deployed wdynpro components and select your webdynpro component with correct name space.
You have to add some DCs in Used DCs and add an implemented interface WebDynproCO. Then you will see a window created with this name "WebDynproCO".
Then this Interface will generate two frame work methods getDescription( ) and execute( ) in your component's Interface controller. Along with these 2 you should explicitly declare the 3rd method complete( ) and write the corresponding code in these 3 methods.
If you need forther help, Let me know and also let me know at which point you need help.

• Adobe Reader X problem - no search contents filter

Hi!
I cannot search contents of a .pdf using windows, as I could in adobe reader 9. I have found out that adobe reader x doesn't have a filter (to enable search contents)!
was it this how it supposed to be?

Adobe has really left us up the creek without a paddle here. They stopped posting separate IFilter installers on their download page when they started bundling it in with Reader (except for the 64-bit version of IFilter 9), and the installer for Reader X not only doesn't include the IFilter, but it actually removes whatever IFilter you've got installed. So, you can't, for example, install Reader 9.4 to get the IFilter from it, and then install Reader X over top of it to have a more modern/secure version of Reader, because your IFilter will disappear. You are stuck choosing between Reader 9.4 with a somewhat modern IFilter and probably poor security, or Reader X with no IFilter (or the last IFilter to have its own installer, version 6.0, which is 6 years old).
Dear Adobe, this is a real mess that needs to be fixed. How many people out there have no idea that their PDF files are no longer searchable because Reader X removed their IFilter? At least create an installer for IFilter v9.4 so people can use a modern IFilter in combination with Reader X, instead of being forced to use Reader 9.4. There are a lot of posts in this forum about the missing IFilter, and I don't see a single reply from Adobe.

Don't ever suggest that. The repo is 100% useless since it is trivial to install yaourt from aur. Also yaourt/package-query in that repo is often broken/outdated.
Also it is not relevant to op's problem anyway. There were some routing issue to leseweb the other day, I also noticed it. Just switching mirror works fine.
