Search Failed - Address Lookup Corporate GAL
Hello,
A handful of users are randomly unable to search the corporate GAL from their iPhone (4.2 and 4.3)... From their device, they'll open the GAL and start typing someone's name it immediately fails saying 'Search Failed'.... The user will only type 1 letter and it will fail. It doesn't even seem the search is leaving the device because it fails instantly.
We just upgraded to Exchange 2010 and wondering if there's some incompatibility. if the user reboots his iPhone then they'll be able to access the GAL post reboot, but they'll run into this issue a couple days later....Any ideas as to what's causing this??
Thanks
for sure.
have a look at the file called lookup_fs.html
(its under server_root/html/yourpreferredlanguage/
around line 27 you can see some (commented) JavaScript tags which enalbes you to add additional directories.

Address Lookup in External LDAP
I did changes in my $OH/j2ee/OC4J_UM/config/oc4j.properties file in order to Lookup in a external LDAP:
toolkit.ldap.dir.1.label=Contacts
toolkit.ldap.dir.1.url=ldap://OtherLinuxHost.mydomain.com:389
toolkit.ldap.dir.1.searchbase=ou=Contacts,dc=mydomain,dc=com
toolkit.ldap.dir.1.filter=objectClass=inetOrgPerson
toolkit.ldap.dir.1.attribute.mail=mail
toolkit.ldap.dir.1.attribute.lname=sn
toolkit.ldap.dir.1.attribute.fname=givenName
toolkit.ldap.dir.1.attribute.alias=uid
In my Collaboration Suite - Messages when I am creating
New Message, click in Blue Torch,
Select from list the "Contactss" directory
Select "Email Address" "contains" * => Go
UM shows the contacts from the External Ldap, but when I try to bcc, or cc or to, it is not updating my destination fileds (bcc/ cc/ to). But if instead of select the List "Contacts" I select the Internal Directory (OID) it works fine?
Which argument I miss ? or how I configure UM for export the email address from the AddrLookup Window to the Message_compose Window in the destination fields (bcc or cc or to) ?
Thanks alot for any help.It is happening to us as well, we have OCS release 2 9.0.4.2 on Linux trying to access an external OpenLDAP linux server for shared contacts.
After we get the results of the search on the external LDAP, no button works on the Address Lookup window except "Close". It doesn't matter is we select the "Corporate Book" or other Oracle internal address books; we have to close the window and open it again to do a new search.
Are you seeing the same behavior?
I will have a phone conference today (5/11/05) with Oracle support to talk about this issue, we have had a TAR open for about 20 days now.
I'll keep you posted with the results. -
How to fix "Email address lookup" failure
Here is a weird one...
I have created a new nickname object which has three email addresses.
They all list OK under "View Email Addresses"
However when testing, GWIA reported "no such user". !!
After double checking the "View Email Addresses" screen for typo's, I did a Tools | Utilities | Email Address Lookup and it fails on the address, but the other two addresses for this nickname object are found OK.
So I deleted the nickname object and recreated it, but it still the 3rd email address can't be found.
Does anyone know why this is the case? Or better yet how to fix this?
Cheers, GordonUwe,
I have synchonised the user object, and strange thing is that the nickname addresses actually appear in the user object under the "View Email Addresses" list, in the "Nickname Email Addresses" section. So the user object looks correct.
I guess that when the Email Address Lookup utility searches as does GWIA, it accesses an address list and not by actually looking at each individual user object's address list. So I just have to figure out why just one of the three nickname email addresses are not making it to this "Email Address Lookup" list.
I might look into doing a PO rebuild, unless there are any other less drastic ideas.

Can anybody recommend or show me an example of a Address lookup using Apex? (Thats also Free?)
Cheers Stars!Spam wrote:

From the purely technical point of view I can't, other than provide a general pointer in the direction of web services...
(Thats also Free?)...however whatever technical solutions exist, they are doomed on this critieria. UK postcode data is owned by the Royal Mail and must be properly licensed: the last project I worked on with this feature [non-APEX] had a feature to count the number of postcode searches performed so that the appropriate royalties could be calculated and paid. Given the state of Royal Mail's finances I doubt that this has changed since then, or is likely to in the foreseeable future. -
I have noticed a bug in the address lookup in iCal, it never seems to find the same addresses as it does in the native maps app which renders this function useless.
I was wondering if anyone else has found this issue or a fix.
When iCal is searching for the address the most popular are not showing according to my local area. Also it displays missing suburb names and won't select address.
Also is this able to translate to ios7? I can't seem to get the travel times on my iPhone, with iCal on ios7 again would be great as I take my phone with me not my desktop. Just a suggestionDitto. If I paste in a complete address, the map function does not work. But if I slowly type the address, giving time for maps to search after each keystroke, *sometimes* I am presented with the correct address to select.
Why can't it simply map whatever address is input? Very odd. -
Failed MX lookup on tcp_intranet
Hi, I have a new test installation of Comms Suite 5:
Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 6.3-0.15 (built Feb 9 2007)
libimta.so 6.3-0.15 (built 19:27:56, Feb 9 2007)
SunOS uwc 5.10 Generic_118833-36 sun4v sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-T1000
This is a two-tiered deployment. If I enable Messenger Express on the message store system, I can send and receive mail within this test domain. But when I send mail with either Messenger Express or Communications Express on the front-end, it sits in the tcp_intranet queue with the following message in mail.log_current:
24-May-2007 21:18:08.79 tcp_intranet Q 1 [email protected] rfc822;[email protected] @store.mydomain.com:[email protected] Failed MX lookup; try again later
This all makes sense to me: This is a user in this domain, on the system store.mydomain.com. I don't understand why it is attempting a DNS lookup. The store system is reachable as both "store.mydomain.com" and "store" using entries in /etc/hosts. It is correct that DNS is not configured on this system, it just seems odd to me that DNS is necessary on the tcp_intranet channel.
Can anyone shed some light?
Thanks.Hi,
This is a two-tiered deployment. If I enable
Messenger Express on the message store system, Ican

the tcp_intranet queue with the following message
in
mail.log_current:
24-May-2007 21:18:08.79 tcp_intranet Q

[email protected] rfc822;[email protected]
@store.mydomain.com:[email protected] Failed MX

This all makes sense to me: This is a user in this

understand why it is attempting a DNS lookup. The
store system is reachable as both
"store.mydomain.com" and "store" using entries in
/etc/hosts. It is correct that DNS is not
configured
on this system, it just seems odd to me that DNS is
necessary on the tcp_intranet channel.
DNS is fundamental to the delivery of email. By
default tcp_intranet channel has the 'mx' keyword
which means it will try an MX lookup for the outgoing
host/domain.
You can prevent this by changing the 'mx' to 'nomx'
on the tcp_intranet channel definition in the
imta.cnf file so it will deliver to the A record of
the domain instead.
Run ./imsimta cnbuild;./imsimta restart for the
change to take affect.
Regards,
Shane.Shane, thanks for your reply.
This is still a little confusing. I can set up DNS, but if this MTA looks up the MX record for the domain, it will get its own address. This MTA is the front-end, it is trying to deliver to the message store. I completely understand the need for DNS and the MX lookup on tcp_local, but I'm not clear about what the MTA will do with the information it receives in the MX record.
Thanks. -
[SOLVED]Failed to lookup alias 'nvidia' (X server dies during startop)
Hello there everybody.
I recenly reinstalled Arch so that I could have a nice, clean install, and also because I though I was having trouble with the systemd migration. I think I was wrong there.
I successfully installed using the February 1st cd. Since that time, I have been unable to boot into a graphical system.
I have the current proprietary nvidia drivers installed - I tried with an older set with no change, and I tried the Nouveau drivers and got as far as a blinking cursor on TTY7 (but similar X server errors), so I abandoned that route (I want the proprietary drivers).
systemctl status kdm
returns
kdm.service - K Display Manager
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/kdm.service; enabled)
Active: active (running) since Sat 2013-03-23 08:42:09 EDT; 19 min ago
Main PID: 289 (kdm)
CGroup: name=systemd:/systemd/kdm.service
└─289 /usr/bin/kdm -nodaemon
Mar 23 08:42:10 awesomeDelicious kdm[289]: X server for display :0 cannot be started, session disabled
Following advice on another thread, I issued
echo 'nvidia' >> /etc/modules-load.d/nvidia.conf
but I don't think that helps at all, as
/lib/systemd/systemd-modules-load
returns
Failed to lookup alias 'nvidia': Function not implemented
so I am currently at a loss. I'd like to be able to get back into KDE as soon as I can, so any help is much appreciated!

...so I seem to have a problem with ABI version?
A quick search shows that some people have fixed this with an ignoreABI option somewhere, is this advisable, and how would I accomplish it?
Anyway yes further advice please! -
Hello,
I am trying to install Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2. I get the error bellow (Database Services Engine Failed, SQL Server Replication Failed, Full Text Search Failed, Reporting Services Failed). I already have a copy of SQL Server 2008 R2 on the machine.
I want to create a new named instance of SQL Server for some software I'm installing.

If you see error descriptioon it gives access denied so basically it is because of some access issue.I guess You must be using some domin account for installation make sure it is added as local administrator also instead of using NT Authority network
service as SQL server service account use local system account .
Below link would help
http://serverfault.com/questions/212135/access-is-denied-error-installing-sql-server-2008-on-windows-7
You can also browse to setup.exe file and RK on it and select run as administrator

Specific Destination Address Lookup?
Now on a dedicated GPS device, you can enter an exact destination address, and the GPS device can find it, quickly, and create a route to your destination.
Does Nokia Ovi Maps support direct address lookup on the phone? I have not been able to get it to work.
Now you can locate an address on the phone by finding it on the map, save it to favorites, but this is tedious and time consuming, to get the street number right.
You can also enter the address online to Ovi Maps, and sync the location to the phone into your Favorites. This works well too. Now you have your precise destination.
Am I missing something or is this a limitation with respect to the downloaded maps to the phone?
To have precise address to GPS coordinates on the phone offline to all known addresses would make the maps too large.
This is using the phone offline. For example, doing route planning, inside your house with no GPS or network connection.
The second case is you have your current GPS position known to the phone, since you are outside, yet the phone cannot determine your specific destination, when you enter it. In this case, you only have a GPS satellite connection, nothing else. I cannot enter a destination here either.
My belief is you must be "online", either WiFi or with a phone data plan, to get specific destinations. Is this belief correct?Biff27 wrote:Does Nokia Ovi Maps support direct address lookup on the phone?

Hi Biff27
The answer appears to be that it is regional variation whether or not you can navigate "Offline" to a specific address. Using v3.04 with UK maps downloaded there is no problem but talking here about small surface area compared with other countries. At one point I had world maps downloaded together with all "ClientIndex" so it certainly wasn't absence of available data to blame but no comparison to that on remote server.

BAPI to create bp with name, search term, address and Authorization Group
Hi
which BAPI could be used to create Business Partner (type organazation) with names, search term, address and the Authorization Group field.
thsHello ,
You can use : BAPI_BUPA_CREATE_FROM_DATA
In case you need to update additional fragments just search in trn code SE37 for BAPI_BUPA_*CREATE.
For example BAPI_BUPA_FRG0040_CREATE - Create classification data for BP , etc'.
Additional you can use XIF :CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE to create business partners

Address Lookup option has disappeared
hi all,
my company recently moved to google mail and i am using a BB with curve 9300. all seems to be working fine except for 2 things.
firstly when i go to compose an email on my BB and look for a company name in the address book i no long have the address lookup function. i am sure it was there when i first set up my BB with our company gmail domain.
secondly 2 way sync seems to be working fine except for when i delete a message on the BB i get the option to delete on handheld and on mailbox and select that. except it never does. i have recived the message over and over from the server. i have changed the settings so on conflicts handheld wins and still the message wont delete on the server. the sync works fine for sent items on BB calender and for read items. just wont delete.
any help would be much appreciated. have been trawling the internet for help but not found anything yet.
thanks in advance
gHi gjrc,
The address lookup feature is only available when using a BlackBerry Enterprise Server. If your company has switched to GMail for their mail service, they would not be using BlackBerry Enterprise Server anymore.

Hi,
My application failed to lookup a JMS Object using JNDI lookup in EJB.
The actual application flow is that a Servlet receive a request which
then calls to an EJB
where it loop up the JMS object to establish the message queue
connection.
It works with a simple Servlet which loop up the JMS Object without call
to EJB.
Does anyone known the possible reason causes the application failed to
lookup the JMS Object?
Thanks

I am afraid, but it seems that the indexes of your TREX installation are corrupt. This could happen if, e.g. you use a network storage (SAN or NAS) which is temporarily not available.
As far as I see it is necessary to perform a reindex or restore a backup of the not working indexes. For further investigation it might be useful to do a backup of the current situation.
Kind regards,
Roland
