Search feature + Ad blocker in stock web browser?

Hi,
Any chance we'll see one day these features on the playbook ?.....Nearly ALL web browsers have a Word search function (i.e. find word occurrences in currently displayed page).
An Ad blocker would be also a great improvement.

How to enable Full text search feature in Azure SQL DB - Web Edition

I have created an instance of Azure SQL DB web edition (basic), using the BizSpark a/c, for one of my global search feature, I need to enable/install full-text search , I don't find this option in Azure SQL DB web edition that I installed , would
appreciate any help on this.

Unfortunately full text search is not supported in Azure SQL DB.

Turn off the feature that automatically maximizes the web browser so that I can perpetually see my open tabs.

Like two weeks ago, Firefox was normal and kick ass as per usual. Then I realized that Firefox had changed - when you are doing stuff in a tab for a particular website that you're browsing, Firefox now does this hella annoying thing where it "maximizes" your view of the website and conceals from view your other working tabs. There used to be like an orange button that said Firefox in the top left that had a dropdown menu of commonly used features, like the download manager and bookmarks. This was all super convenient. It was bright, discernible and all of the tabs that I was working with were simultaneously viewable. Now, what happens is, if you reach to the upper portion of a tab for a website you are viewing, it "unmaximizes" the window and reveals the once concealed tabs, which is WICKED DUMB because all it does is change the orientation of the web page so that the link you were once reaching for is now outside of the trajectory of your mouse, thus causing epilepsy inducing madness of page flicker; not to mention it kills time to have to reorient your mouse because of a feature that doesn't even help anything. I personally use a computer for work, not entertainment, like the majority of porn watching freaks of nature on this thing. It should just be something you can turn off easily. Sorry to be so mad, but I thought maybe i could get used to it, and it's honestly just one of the most nauseating features on any piece of software I have ever come across. Thanks!

OMG thank you. I had just never done that in all the time I have used firefox. I mean, ish happens, I guess. Thanks for telling me how to turn it off. Now I can go back to finishing my Master's Degree [while simultaneously relocating to southern CA from NJ and taking care of my palliative, stage 4 bladder cancer ridden father] in peace (which when you're spread as thin as I am right now, you WOULD do something as dumb as hit F11 and not know how to un-hit it). Haha. Namaste!

The owner of the website -- not CloudFlare -- has decided to block your particular web browser. So the only person who can remove that block would be the website owner. I would encourage you to use a different web browser, and then contact the owner of the website with the full text of the message you're seeing. They can then open a support ticket with CloudFlare's support folks if they need help with the security feature they've enabled on their website.

With Firefox as my default browser for a desktop iMac, a note appears "An attempt to change your home page and default search has been blocked" It won't go away

With Firefox as my default browser for a desktop iMac, a note appears "An attempt to change your home page and default search has been blocked" It won't go away. It tells me to click on the checkmark to change settings but that doesn't work and the red x in the upper right hand corner doesn't remove the note which is in the upper left corner of my iMac ??? The only thing that removes the note is quitting Firefox but it reappear as soon as I start Firefox back up ???

1.4 Web Browser auto-search doesn't work on wifi only

This issue only started in 1.4 and it's a bit weird. If I'm in the web browser, at the start page and I type something and hit "enter" or choose google (they both ssearch on google) it will either run forever without ever loading google or take a VERY long time before finally loading. The weird part is that if I instead type www.google.com, it goes immeadiately (or any other website) AND if I'm not on wifi it works perfectly AND if I AM on wifi, all other apps connect immeadiately (for example, the twitter app connects immeadiately on wifi). I have no idea what the browser's doing differently on wifi with the auto-search but it does it every time.

Please allow me to clarify... How can you fix the search on the messages? I try to search one of my clients names (a new client that I don't yet have saved in my phone but I know her name) and I type in a name in the search bar and nothing comes up. Is there a way to solve this issue?

The E71 web browser will search for and present a list of WLANs whilst the phone is in offline mode without asking first. When you then select a WLAN from the list, it does ask if you wish to create a WLAN connection in offline mode. Surely it should ask before searching?

With new FW i can't set, that browser ask me.
Before new SW , browser alwasy give me an option to choose wlan connection..

Question about web browser block

"To help protect your security, your web browser has blocked this website from displaying non-secure content." I get this message when I try to download my VISA statement which is a pdf file -- at least it requires Adobe to read and download.
I've tried everything I can think of, but nothing works. Tried disabling my security programs, turning off pop-up blocker, adding the web-site address to the "trusted sites" list, etc, etc. PC Cleaners says there's a problem with recent Adobe updates.
Anyone have any ideas about this? I'm not the computer expert in our family, but my husband is unavailable while he recuperates from surgery.

I tried saving the link to the pdf -- when I try, I only save the link back to the web-page. when I right click on the blank page, there's no way to save it as a pdf file (the "Save Target As" command doesn't work)

Spotlight no longer showing "web search" feature

Hello all,
I just upgraded to Yosemite and everything looks great so far except for 1 thing that I used a lot in previous OS X versions.
I used to open spotlight and type my internet (google) search there and just click on web search. Ever since I upgraded I can no longer find that feature although Its marked as checked under system preferences, spotlight, bring web searches.
Any help?

you have to include system files in a search. they are excluded by default. enter command+f in finder to start finder search. click on "kind", scroll and click on "other". in the resulting popup select "system files" and change the setting to include them in the search. if you want to make this default see this macosx hint

Can data be passed to an external web server using the "in-course web browsing" feature in ver. 7? I would like to display a simple web page, and I would like to pass to that web page the answers to all the quiz questions, quiz score, etc. In other words, instead of passing quiz results to a SCORM-compliant LMS like Moodle, I'd like to pass that data to a Drupal Webform using a URL like:
https://www.example.com/my-drupal-webform?param1=value1&param2=value2...&paramn=valuen

You have to make sure every step in MOS Document ID 726414.1 that is applicable to your E-Business Suite 12.1.x release is performed. Enabling ASADMIN is just one of the steps. Where did the search feature go in iOS7? Search the device as well as select search to web or Wikipedia.

After installing iOS7 on my iPhone 5 and iPad Mini there is no Search Function for info on the device and the option to search the Web or Wikipedia. Where did this useful search feature go. We do not have a phone # for technical support unfortunately. There are issues with Norton Toolbar causing Firefox to crash; This has been fixed in the 2013 version of Norton but not in 2012 yet. If you have 2013, it would be easier to contact Norton as they have a better understanding of how to guide you.

No access to ebay due to web browser settings blocking cookies.

I have Windows 7 and use Firefox. All of a sudden when I try to sign in on one of my computers to ebay a window pops up and tells me "Your web browser settings are blocking cookies"--therefore I can`t sign in. My other computers do not have this problem. I have changed no cookie settings in the Options/Privacy section. What did I screw up and how can I correct it?

When you select the search box, one of the options in the popup below it should be Search Current Webpage - highlight that, type in your text, and then press the 'search' button on the keyboard. You should then get Next, Previous, and Close buttons at the top of the screen
