Search/filtering within playlists feature removed

Hi,
Spotify updated itself yesterday to version 1.0.1.988.g8f17a348. The UI got overhauled and few features got removed but the most annoying thing about the change was the disappearance of searching/filtering within a playlist. CMD + F doesn't do anything right now. It was an essential feature used very frequently by me. What exactly was the reasoning behind removing it? Will it be brought back?

What is the thought process going on with the product and engineering team? Can they stop releasing updates to the product that lack critical functionality? This is the same terrible decision making that allowed the "Your Music" features not to exist on the iPad for a year after it was released everywhere else. What's even more frustrating is that I've now received 2-3 updates since the filter feature was removed and it's still missing! I love Spotify, but this total lack of common sense is unbelievably frustrating and deeply concerning. At this point I wouldn't be surprise if you release a new version that didn't have shuffle or just removed the ability play songs altogether. How do I search for songs and artists within playlists?

In the Itunes music app on the Ipod touch there are several views (Songs, Playlists, Genius, Artists, etc.) In song view if you swipe down it reveals the search bar. However when you go to Playlist view and choose a specific playlist there is no search bar or option anywhere to search for a specific song, artist, genre etc.
So how the heck do we search within playlists, where is the search bar or where is the option to search in a specific playlist?

Top right hand corner of the store is the search bar. Just type it in, and it shows up.

ITunes refuses to let me drag tracks in or out of or within playlists

With no pattern, just nasty surprises, iTunes refuses to let me drag tracks in or out of or within playlists.
I have searched the Apple Support Communities and elsewhere and found no solutions which work.
It's nothing to do with Wacom - I don't have one. It's nothing to do with setting iTunes to manual sorting. It's not set to shuffle or repeat. It's just an ordinary playlist. It's not a folder nor a Smart playlist.
On one occasion I phoned Apple and a nice man told me how to display the Library (but it's now hidden again) and delete an iTunes preference file. This solved the problem for a while. But I have forgotten how to display the Library again and can't remember the name of the preference file to delete.
Anyway, the problem should have been fixed by now we are at V 10.6.3
If there is no solution then I am stuck with copy and paste - a very unsatisfactory system when I am playing a playlist live.

Web App {tag_edit} doesn't render in web Web App search results within secure zone?

We have secure zones that are to display certain web app items to be filtered by Category. The secure zone members need to filter through web app items and edit these items from the list view. We've set it up accordingly and the list view is exactly how it should be when it is simply displaying on a page within the secure zone, however when the web app search/filtering is applied the "edit" tag doesn't display. Is there anyway to have this work or does it simply not? Please tell me it is possible to filter and edit web apps.

Hi The Bowery, the edit tag will not show in general web app item search results unless the owner of that web app item is logged in to a secure zone to view it.
However, if you are happy for anyone looking at the website to edit all web app items, you can set that in the properties of the web app itself. Then I think the edit tag will show to anyone looking at the web app items.
If you only want the web app item owner to edit the web app item then you need to set up a secure zone for them to log in and view it.
It will show when the web app item owner is logged in and viewing the web app items, if the edit tag has been added to the layout customisations. So it will only show to the web app item owner.

Search results on a webapp use the List template layout for the webapp to show a summary of the search results and the detail Template Layout is what shows when you click on the search result summary item. In webapp setups I usually put the edit tag in the List template

I have a new ipad mini purchased in Dec 2013. I can not Picture Frame app to display my photos when the ipad screen is locked. was this feature removed? if not, how do I turn it on?

I have a new ipad mini purhased in December 2013 for my father. I want play the streamed photos on the ipad when the screen is locked. Similar to what the ipad 2 using Picture Frame. Unfortunately I can not find the picture frame app on this ioad mini. Was this feature removed? If yes, are there alternative options?

I can't personally as I never really liked nor used the picture frame feature in iPad. Just search in the App Store and read customer reviews and you'll likely find something you'll like.

Dragging tracks into playlists/ within playlists suddenly a problem (itunes version 12.1.2)

I updated to 12.1.2 april 15 (its may 4 today) and literally all of a sudden this morning I cannot drag and drop any tracks into playlists, within playlists, or to devices. I can add with the right click menu option but cannot drag. I have OS X 10.10.3 and I have not made any changes to the operating system or computer. I searched google and the itunes forum and can't find any explanation that applies to my situation. Why is this happening and what can I do to fix it as quickly as possible?

i don't know... its about the most frustrating random itunes problem i've ever experienced. i still have no idea why it spontaneously started malfunctioning but i managed to "fix" it by restarting my computer... i have no idea why that seems to have worked. i saw it on a similar but not necessarily applicable thread and thought it was worth a shot before spending the next hour or so troubleshooting with apple. just looking at all the boards today trying to figure out how to fix this particular issue, there are literally so many different similar cases of so many problems with itunes that its become clear they need to start fresh... anyway, maybe see if a restart helps resolve the click and drag issue for you. good luck.

Shuffling Songs Within Playlists

I have a 5th Gen. iPod (30gb)0. I need to know how to shuffle within playlists. I appreciate any help.

Go to settings-->shuffle and set it to songs.
Then go to music-->playlists. When the playlist you
want to shuffle is highlighted, hit play.

One of the things I love about Spotify is the ability to discover new music. While Radio is good for this, I often want to search for playlists that contain the song I'm interested in to see what other similar songs users have paired with it. Currently, search seems to return just the playlists that share a title with the search words, but it would be good to scan through playlists to include "featured in" as well.

How do I add a song to my favorites Playlist without removing that playlist from iCloud

I just purchased a song on my computer and tried to copy the song into my "favorite songs" playlist but I get a warning that adding the song to the playlist will remove the playlist from iCloud and will only be available on the computer. I don't understand why I can't add the song to my playlist and have it updated to my iPad2 and Iphone4S via iCloud.

Figured it out,
If you get the "playlist will be removed from iCloud" notice then follow this steps.
Go ahead and add the song to the playlist you want.
go to iTunes store.
log into your Apple account and go to Account
in the section titled iTunes in the Cloud you will see a link titled add this computer and it will reload the music including the playlists to iCloud.
Once it reloaded again I tried copying the song to another playlist and it worked. Listing the song on all my devices.

Storage space on the iPod would not affect shuffled playlists or playlist shuffling, though substantially full iPods may wind up skipping songs on larger playlists after a while, and require a restart. As for compressing the files themselves, you can automatically re-encode files to a lower bitrate by checking the box on the summary page when your iPod is connected to your PC/Mac.
As for the shuffle problem, after restarting your iPod (hold the center button and Menu for a few seconds, until the Apple logo appears), make sure you're telling the iPod to shuffle the songs in a playlist by repeatedly clicking the center button until the Suffle Menu comes up, then scroll to the right to turn it on. From that song forward, the playlists' contents should be shuffled every time the playlist ends, or is accessed from a new song.
Shuffle does sometimes turn itself off, I've found, so double-check the setting is still on. Also, iPods shuffle by randomly assigning a playlist order for your songs, which is different from traditional shuffle (on, say, iTunes or Windows Media Player, where the new song is determined at random upon the current track ending. The iPod only chooses a random order of songs when you shuffle, to conserve battery life and queue up songs coming up on the playlist in the event of a shock).

Since I upgraded to iTunes 11.01 the "Smart" playlists feature no longer works. I can CREATE the list but, the songs that I have played don't accumulate in the list. I haven't changed the steps that worked for me previous to the upgrade. I have no idea

Click on a station and drag to the left. The playlists sidebar will open up. Drop on the playlist you want to add to.

Problem with shuffling tracks within playlists

I'm having trouble shuffling songs within playlists. I have an iPhone 5s with iOS 8.1.2.
If I open a playlist and press 'Shuffle' (or the Shuffle icon) above the first song, nothing happens--the playlist will not play, and I'm unable to play any of the individual songs within the playlist (the songs in the list will gray-out briefly when clicking on them).
If I start a playlist and try shuffling from the 'Now Playing' screen, only the current song will play. For example, I hit 'Shuffle'--"Shuffle All' is highlighted but '1 of 41' becomes '1 of 1.' If I then hit 'Shuffle All," '1 of 1' becomes '0 of 0.'
Thus far, the only way I can shuffle a playlist is to ask Siri to do it (and she doesn't always understand the playlist names).
Am I doing something wrong, or is there a bug here?

It seems to occur more frequently lately. You can still add songs by right-click < Add to Playlist, although this is not as convenient as drag-n-drop. Hopefully it will get fixed soon.

Can we add search filters to CV04N?

What i am being asked to do is add different search filters to CV04N. Is it possible to add a search field at CV04N?
My customers case: "We use CV04N to track vehicle software editions. What we need is a screen that we can track software edition documents according to vehicle and date and filter them. I have to be able to give a report like this:

- Or what i have to do is create another report with a Z tcode?

Your requirement is very genuine it is already availabale with SAP standards it self, but you have to do little bit configuration,
you can follow the following steps
1) create a class with the tcode CL02, should have all the attributres like Vehical code, vehical type etc, by choosing proper characteristics.
2) Attached this class to that document type in the configuration part.
3) Then you will see Additional Tab in the cv01n, CV02N, CV03N & CV04N screen as soon as you select that document type.
4) Automatically it will come in the output of CV04N.
5) Create you own screen variant for that output
you object will fulfill. Revert if any problem exists.

Problems with IQueryEntry, search filtering by classifications URGENT!!!!

I'm developing an application that search in KM, using KM indexmanagement API's for searching with TREX. Everything is work fine, even if I search with custom properties in the documents. My problem is when I try to search filtering with taxonomies and classifications, my query doesn't work, somebody know how is the structure of the IQueryEntryList, I know there is the way to filter by properties:
