Search / Find in Year Calendar View

GW 2012 SP2
If I look at a calendar in Year view, I can see all the days that have
calendar entries (they're bolded)
If I want to find an appointment with 'Smith' in this view, I type it
into the Find field ...
However, there are no changes to the view - all calendar days still
show as bold
If I switch to Details view, the Find works fine
Is there a way for this to work in the Year Calendar View ?
Steve

Not sure what the client's support status is on this .... will check -
perhaps SP3 will have this fix but who can wait for another year !!

  • Can't find IPhone app for Calendar view when you turn on the phone - anyone

    I read about (can't remember where) an Iphone app that allows you to choose your calendar view as the thing you see when the phone is turned on before you slide the arrow to the right to open everything up; meaning, you can just press the top button or the bottom screen button and immediately see your calendar. Does anyone know what this app is called? I can't find it anywhere! Thanks!

    The Health app is a default app and cannot be deleted. Search for the Health app by touching the screen and sliding your finger down to reveal Spotlight search. Type in Health and the Health app should come up. That means its on your iPhone somewhere.

  • PDF View Search Find Problems

    FInd/search function in PDF view application still not fixed in WebOS 1.4.  In PDF View application:
    1) The field where you enter something to search/find is hidden by the name of the PDF document title.  It doesn't go away even when you start typing, so you can't see what you are typing.
    2) The count of the number of matches found looks greyed out and very hard to read.
    3) The up/down arrows in the top right next to the count of matches does not work.  Shouldn't they take you to each consecutive match?
    4) Why doesn't it position you to page in the document where the first match is found?   It shows the page number at the bottom, but since the up/down arrows at the top right don't work, I have to click the forward page arrow and then the backward page arrow to jump to the page containing the first match.

    I don't know how to point Adobe to a certain printer, but the printer we are using does have that paper tray size.
    So just to add some more clarification, its BO XI R2 and:
    If I run the report in Deski, then save it as a PDF on my desktop, it is formatted properly, no problems at all, and no need to point Adobe to any printers.If I view the same report in Infoview it's split into two pages unless I chose "View -> Draft Mode". If I chose "Page Mode" it's split on two pages, if I chose "PDF Mode" (for printing) it's split into two pages and that is a problem....

  • Work around for 1 year search limit on CalDAV calendars?

    By researching a couple of forums and doing some of my own testing I seem to have confirmed that if a calendar on an iOS device is synced "over the air" (CalDAV) then Calendar and Spotlight search will only look 12 months into the past - regardless of how many months/years of calendar data is actually synced.
    If a calendar is synced via iTunes this limitation does not seem to apply.
    Accepting that this is the case, my query is what is the least onerous way to:
    a) Be able to search 2-3 years into the past and
    b) Have additions/changes that are made on the iPhone/iPad immediately sync into the cloud server
    The specific scenario I have (for a client) involves Outlook 2010 on a Windows 7 PC syncing over the air using iCloud.
    My first thought is to maintain a separate calendar in Outlook for items more than (say) 11 months old. Have that calendar sync via iTunes - on the premise that it it is unlikely to change very often. Then once a month (say) manually move the 11-12 month old items from the CalDAV calendar to the iTunes calendar.
    My second thought is to simply sync the same calendar both over the air and via iTunes and live with the duplicate entries.
    Does anybody have ideas that are slightly more sophisticated and/or elegant than this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Graham

    That's a bit sketchy. There's a much simpler way around the Volume Limitation. That's removing it. Just set the Volume Limit to its maximum, and it's virtually gone.

  • Script to set display name in iCS Calendar view to the LDAP CN

    Script to set the display name in the Calendar view for iPlanet Calendar
    Server(iCS) to the LDAP common name(CN)
    By default, iCS uses a user ID(uid) based on an employee number, rather than on
    an employee's first and last name, as the calendar ID(calid).
    The current release of iCS (5.0 P2) does not create a display name for a
    calendar when a user enables a calendar by logging in; by default, it will
    list the calid again in the Display Name field of the Calendar view.
    For example, if an employee has a calid of "12345," when you click the
    Calendar tab to view the calendar, the Display Name will appear as follows:
    <P>
    12345 (12345)
    <P>
    A problem arises when a user tries to subscribe to another user's calendar.
    Although the search criteria are based on the calid and the Display
    Name, the only information currently stored in the calendar database is the
    calid. Therefore, users will be unable to subscribe to another
    user's calendar unless they know the calid of that person. The next
    patch release for iCS will remedy this problem by using common names(CNs) as
    the Display Names. That is, the database will store the CN values
    from LDAP for users, and the Calendar view will appear something as follows:
    <P>
    12345 (John Doe)
    <P>
    Until this next release of iCS, there are two options to work around this
    problem.
    <P>
    <OL>
    <LI>You can "provision" users by running the cscal
    administrative utility with the
    Display Name option.
    <P>
    OR
    <P>
    <LI>If the user community already exists, you can use the sample Perl script
    below to search through the calendars of users.
    <P>
    Note: If a default calid exists that doesn't have a Display Name, the script
    will search the LDAP directory to find a CN to set as the Display Name for
    that calendar.

    Hi David,
    About your confuse about"case when 1=2 then "product_d"."name" else "calendar_d"."year" end".
    You can try in your locale.
    You will find they are different.
    BASED ON THAT you have two table product_d and calendar_d AND they are related by one Fact table.
    THEN When you type in
    "case when 1=2 then "product_d"."name" else "calendar_d"."year" end"
    AND
    "calendar_d"."year",
    IT WILL SHOW U TWO different RESULTS.
    I need to show year which its related product is not null. but I cannot use SHOW->SQL RESULTS->TYPE SOME "WHERE..." because I also need to use "constrain"..
    That why I choose to use a case when function..
    So, do you have any idea about this?
    Regards,
    AnneWhy not use two filters in your request? Have something like this:
    product_d.name IS NOT NULL
    AND
    calendar.year IS PROMPTED?
    ...instead of using a CASE statement? This way you can have both filters show the way they should in a meaningful way.

  • I have iPhone4, IOS 7.1.1 - calendar view issues

    I have updated both my iPhone and my iPad retina display to IOS 7.1.1. On my iPad I have the calendar view to see a list of everything in calendar, but on the iPhone I don't. I am unable to attach a screen shot so I'll explain what I can see:-
    iPhone - I go into calendar and it's on a year view, I then click on today, then I click on the actual date, which zooms into a month view. I then have a few icons at the top. From left to right, I see the month/year, then a rectangle box with two lines underneath (no dots), then search option, then add entry.. I click on a day in the month and I cannot view the whole day, there is a tiny space at the bottom of the screen and it doesn't open fully so I can view by week or day. I used to be able to click on search and a whole list of all my calendar entries are in a list I can scroll through, can't seem to do that anymore!
    iPad - I go into calendar and it's on a year view, I then click on Day, Week or Month view no problem. I click on search and I can see everything in a list format.
    Please help

  • Needing a multi-month and year-in-view option for ical!

    Hello all!
    I could really use a multi-month and year-in-view format in ical... I've seen some dated posts - is anyone aware of any new developments/options for this?
    thanks and peace-
    DW

    I turn off all calendars but the birthdays. Select [Print]. Choose all the months you want to see. Deselect all calendars but birthdays. Click [Continue]. On the next menu, go to "Layout", select how many pages to print on the paper. I usually print a border around each calendar then you're good to go!
    By only printing the birthdays calenar, you won't get too many appointments to get in the way of brain storming and future planning, yet the computer still thinks its printing a useful calendar.

  • How can I find out what calendars are in my .mac account?

    A simple question, but I am struggling with the answer.
    I have used ical since it first came out and have found it brilliant and very easy to use and access both from the office and also from home. However because I have used it for so long I have had various changes in staff. I am keen to find out if there are any 'other' calendars created by anyone who has/had access to ical via my .mac account.
    The calendars must be stored somewhere online? How can I find out what calendars I am hosting?

  • Printing a yearly calendar with iCal?

    I want to print a yearly calendar in both letter and half letter format with my iCal, how do I do that?

    No, I don't see this option either... I've exhausted every option inside iCal and my advanced print settings.
    The only other suggestion is to go to iCal and "provide iCal feedback" within the menu bar and request this feature.
    I will do this as well.
    In the meantime a workaround is:
    Select "month view" in the print settings - select 12 months to print and select "ok".
    Then your printer options will open up.
    From there click the Layout drop down tab, and then select "16 pages" per sheet.
    Then they will all print on 1 page... though the numbers are too small to really be deemed "legible".
    You may want to mess around with zoom settings after you arrange 16 pages per sheet.
    This is the only workaround to get "close" to what you want to do.

  • I upgraded to ios 7.1 and even after i updated to this version in the calendar view i could get a list of all of appointments and now i have half screen of calendar and then appointments is their any way to go full screen of appointmetns

    I upgraded to ios 7.1 and even after i updated to this new version in the calendar view i could get a list of all appointments and now i have done something and i get a half scrren of calendar and half screen of appointments.  is their anyway to get full screen of appointments with the 7.1 version

    Tap on any give date in the monthly view and you will be taken a list of event, the default position being the date you tapped.
    The icon just to the left of the search icon provides a master list view of events.

  • [E2010] [EWSMA] [C#] [Windows]: How do I get Tasks to show up in the Calendar view

    When creating a task from EWS, the Owner field is empty.  I believe this causes my created Task to disappear when I am in the Calendar view (showing Tasks on the bottom).  The created Task still shows up in the Tasks view, but not the Calendar
    view (where Tasks are on the bottom).
    Creating a task in Outlook shows it on the Calendar view, but creating a Task with the same values from EWS does not show it there.  The only difference is the Owner field of the Task, which is read-only in EWS.  Can we set this somehow?
    ExchangeService ews;
    ews = new ExchangeService();
    ews.UseDefaultCredentials = true;
    ews.AutodiscoverUrl("[email protected]");
    Task taskItem = new Task(ews);
    taskItem.Subject = "subject";
    taskItem.Body = "body";
    taskItem.IsReminderSet = true;
    taskItem.ReminderDueBy = DateTime.Now;
    taskItem.StartDate = DateTime.Now;
    taskItem.Save();
    Thanks,
    -Daniel

    I can sort of reproduce what your talking about I think its because your setting the Start and Due date to the same time which seems to affect the search folder that's used for the view. The following seems to work okay for me
    Task taskItem = new Task(service);
    taskItem.Subject = "Created From qqq";
    taskItem.Body = "body";
    taskItem.IsReminderSet = true;
    taskItem.ReminderDueBy = DateTime.Now;
    taskItem.StartDate = DateTime.Now;
    taskItem.DueDate = DateTime.Now.AddHours(1);
    taskItem.Status = TaskStatus.NotStarted;
    ExtendedPropertyDefinition PidLidToDoOrdinalDate = new ExtendedPropertyDefinition(DefaultExtendedPropertySet.Common, 0x85A0, MapiPropertyType.SystemTime);
    taskItem.SetExtendedProperty(PidLidToDoOrdinalDate, DateTime.Now.AddHours(1));
    ExtendedPropertyDefinition FlagDueBy = new ExtendedPropertyDefinition(DefaultExtendedPropertySet.Common, 0x8560, MapiPropertyType.SystemTime);
    taskItem.SetExtendedProperty(FlagDueBy, DateTime.Now.AddHours(1));
    taskItem.Save();

  • 2 weeks option in the Calendar view in SharePoint

    Hi,
    A client of mine asked for it, and although I looked for it over several search engines, I never found anything...
    The Calendar view in SharePoint give three options : Day Week, Month.
    My client asked if there is a possibility to have a "2 Weeks" option, similar to the Week (optionally with the ability to decide whether to show week-end days on not).
    Thanks for any answer...
    Francis

    Hi Darkschneider,
    If you want to view two weeks, you can use month view. It includes two weeks view.
    Or you can use two calendars, each calendar show one week.

    I really can't figure this out!    your help will be highly appreciated
    Thanks.

    Your description is a bit sketchy, however a few thoughts (might actually start with step 4).
    1) make sure your cfm files and project is set up to be under your ColdFusion9 wwwroot.  So, on windows, if your project was called test, the correct folder would be c:\ColdFusion9\wwwroot\test, with the .cfm files under that directory.
    2) make sure you can bring up the ColdFusion9 administrator panel.  Under Servers, right-click the server you setup, and do "launch ColdFusion Administrator".  Make sure your local server is setup with the right passwords.
    3) check your project properties (right click on your project, select properties), and here make sure your project is referencing the server.  From there you should be able to switch from the Source|Firefox|IE tabs (that's what I have on Windows), and something should show up.  Also, when you run the .cfm file in an external browser.
    4) Step 1, however, should be verifyable OUTSIDE of CF Builder, with a path something like:
         http://localhost:8500/project-directory-name/example.cfm file
    Also of course make sure that http://localhost:8500/CFIDE does something.   That should tie it altogether, since when you do a launch/run from CF Builder, you can compare the address it puts in your browser, with the aforementioned addresses.
    Let us know what was wrong, so others can use your post.
