Search for document fails

A solution to a problem being researched referenced the Pro*COBOL precompiler programmer's guide;
A SEARCH on precompiler programmer guide said "No Match".
Where can I download a copy of the programmer's guide?
Thanx.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to find that "Content Creator" doesn't work on a search for really old files. However, all three types that you mention have the program's name as part of the "Kind" description. Thus, to find Freehand files do Command-f while in the folder you wish to search (and make sure that in Finder Preferences->Advanced you have selected "Search the Current Folder" from the drop down menu), then click the "Kind" drop down menu and select "Other" instead of "Any" and type the program name "Freehand"--that should do it. You can then add other criteria to narrow things down a bit. Here's an example:
The Kind is any sort of Photoshop file, which was last opened before 2000, and has a pixel width that is greater than 1000, and the search was done in a giant "Old Visuals" folder on another drive.
If there are any files you need to find which do not have the program's name as part of the Kind attribute, you can use the Terminal to determine some other creator attribute you could use, and then construct a Raw Query. If you have to do that you'll probably want to Save the search for future use!

  • Search for documents in the web UI

We have created a new work center Z_CM which enables application component "CRM-IC-ARD", with a view "ICCMP_CM/CMSearch".
This view should incoporate the standard functionality, but I can't search for document descriptions.
Should I use our TREX, enterprise search? How do I enable document search in the web UI. I have not been able to find any documentation about this.
So do anyone have some info on this topic?

    Hei,
We are having the same problem with the document search as you used to have. Can you please tell me how you solved it?
    Thanks a lot.

  • Document search, search for documents and letters

    CRM 5.0 - ICWC
In a serviceticket in the business context there are a few files, documents, emails and letters.
    Documents -> uploaded manualy
Emails -> created after reply or new email
    Letter -> Created by merge-documents
In the menu 'Document Search' you can search for all attached documents which belongs to the serviceticket. However, only the document types are found.
Anyone some tips how to add the option to find the letter documents?

    Hi Adil,
#1. Per my knowledge, anonymous access cannot be granted at item level.
If we need to allow anonymous access to items or documents in the lists or libraries, the anonymous access should be granted at list/library level.
#2. To exclude the list items and documents from libraries, I recommend to create search scope to exclude those contents.
Remember to select Exclude as the Behavior in the search scope.

  • How do I search for documents? They are all in folders in Adobe Reader on my iPad.

Opening each folder in Adobe Reader to search for a document is very slow.  Is there some way of searching?

Currently, Adobe Reader for iOS supports search in the currently open (single) PDF document but not multiple PDF documents in folder(s).  Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Search for photo fails if photo is in a stack!

Has anyone else found that with LR5.6, when you search for a photo, the search will fail if that photo is buried in a stack?  I have only been searching by keyword, so I don't know how LR reacts to a search by exposure data or similar.
Anyone know if this is a bug, or is this some how a bit of brilliant functionality I don't understand?!

To search top-of-stack only: collapse stacks.
To search underlings too: expand stacks.

Is there a way to search for a Word document that uses a specific font? There is only one possible document on my hard drive that uses this font.

  • Search for document function in Ipad Reader

It seems that there's no such function.
I refer to the possibility of searching for title or part of it.
    Am I wrong ?

    Livio

    Hi Livio,
    1. You can search in documents list for file names. Go to documents tab from, pull down the list in right pane and it will give a search bar. Just type in it and it will search through the list.
    2. You can search in the document for text in file. Tap on find icon in top toolbar (search icon). Just type your search text in it and press search.

  • Search for documents using External Data on list content type

    hi,
say we have clients in an external database, we create the external content type for use in sharepoint 2013
we create two content types, Quote and Order for use in a library
we create a document library that uses the above content types
we then add a column for the external data ( in this case Client Name- but also include ID) , we have the option to copy to content type selected. so now library shows 'Client' and 'Client:ID'
I believe that column gets added to  list content types based on the 2 document content types.
so we have list items , which have a document , a content type and a piece of data from the external LOB system.
now that is fine, works great, however, how do you configure the content search web part to return documents based on the piece of external data - ie client:ID ? or Client Name ?
I can map the client:ID to one of the Int00 managed properties and crawl etc - but do not see a way to use that to return documents
any help would be appreciated :)
    thanks
    MrP

Create a scopr with that in managed properies and then u can get results from  external sources

  • How can I search for document content, specific words, in my scanned (and searchable) pdf files?

When using spotloght to search my files for text within a scanned document, I may or may not find documents that were scanned by a scan program (ScanSnap) to a searchable PDF file on a firewire attached drive.
Is there a specific manner that yeilds useable results 100% of the time?

Spotlight should index PDF files (as well as Word and some other kinds of files) but it seems that PDFs are not created equal. I've seen and heard complaints that some scanner/OCR programs are saving files that aren't searchable and yours is one of them. Try opening one of the files in Preview and resaving it.

  • Search for documents created "today"

There used to be a "today" button to use when I want to find a document to attach to an e mail, but the button is now gone.   "Yesterday" is still there.   How do I get "today" back?
    nancy

What you're not seeing is that a smart folder or saved search is not actually a Finder object.  a normal Finder window is a visual representation of an actual directory of files on the disk; a smart folder is a Spotlight search that is mocked up in a Finder window to look like a folder.  Think of it like this - if you need to get everyone on some committee to sign a document, and you go to a committee meeting to get the document signed, you'll have no problems if it's a normal committee meeting but you'll be utterly stumped if the all the members are telecommuting via skype.  the meetings may look the same from the outside, but you're really dealing with two entirely different kettles of fish.
Applescript has lots of tools for dealing with normal directory structures, but doesn't (as of yet) have much support for 'virtual' folders like smart folders.

  • How to search for documents that do not contain a word in a section?

For example: (deleted% within folder) finds all documents that have deleted in the folder
I want to find all documents that do not contain "deleted%" within folder.

If you have other criteria, then you can use "other criteria NOT deleted% within folder". However, if there is no other criteria, then you cannot just begin with NOT, so you have to use "% NOT deleted% within folder", but on a large data set that will result in an error about the wildcard expanding to too many terms.
