Search help displayed in webgui mode

In SRM I have create e new service. In this services i have created the template SEARCHHELP.HTML.
But when I click on search icon, start the webgui template. In template I use the "macro" F4HelpButton.
Help Me!!

Please explain your problem clearly.
From whatever you have mentioned on this ste i cold gather following:
1. You created a new template
2. You want F4 help feature in that 'Z' template
3. You wrote some macro but you are not getting the F4 help.
Is this the correct understanding of the situation?
If yes, please following:
1. Have you setup a separate RFC for F4 help?
for reasons (just know to SAP developement team only), you need to define separate RFC for pulling the F4 help from backend system
If you have not done that, then you would not see F4 help.
Please advise if this solves your issue.
If this is not your issue then pplease explain in more details please

  • Restrict dictionnary Search help displayed values.

    Hi,
my problem is that I have to display a search help. The search help already exists in the dictionnary and is defined using a Dictionnary Table.
I need to display the same serach help but I have to filter the results using a range of values for one of the fields and I would like to know how to proceed.
I know that user-exit exists in some search help, it's not the case here.
The kind of solutions I'm looking for is :
    -  directly restrict the existing search hellp values
    -  found a way to display a search help from abap using an internal table ( cause it's easy in this case to do fill a internal table doing the sql request myself)
    - if the solutions above can't apply, doing my own search help in the dictionnary but in this case, I don't know to make this search help for values restriction.
I specify that the screen use the screen painter, it may be important ?
    Thanks for your help
    best Regards,
    Morgan

    Hi,
Search Hels exits is only for exceptions, so in our case, we won't use the search help exits, it is better create/change the Custome one and attach the same to the fiels, there you can give the Default value for the fileds, so there you can restrict the values
or else, we have an option like, APPEND SEARCH HELPS, so by using this, we can restrict some field values, this Append Search helps, can be append to Standard Search helps also, so do Append the Standard Search help and add your field and give the Default values to restrict the user
    hope you get the answer

    Hi,

  • Query Designer&WAD: Variable search help - Display Key/Text button

    Good day.
Please, can you write me some solution of my problem.
I have the character with hierarchy.
In tab "Business Explorer" of character set display as "Text".
When i run my query on SAP Portal and enter to search help of character, it is displays text of my ZCHARACTER(not key and text). But name of levels(0HIER_BODE) display key and text... (NODENAME and TEXT).
When i run query in BEx Analyzer, in search help all correct. My ZCHARACTER and 0HIER_NODE displays only text.
When i press tech button "Display Key/Text", a see marked "Text". I cannot find the same button when run search help in Query Designer, WAD(or Portal).
How can i display only texts of 0HIER_NODE? But no [Key] Text.
    Thank you for answer.
    Regards
    Update. Can be usefull:
View table RSDVDPA with key DPNAM='0HIER_NODE' consist field CHAPRSNT with value = '0' (Key and Text).
When i change value of table
UPDATE RSDDPA SET CHAPRSNT = '4'
      WHERE DPANM   EQ '0HIER_NODE'
        AND objvers EQ 'A'.
    All works correct!
Change this value directly not correct. I think, that it is change of value of parent character. But when?

I have created own 0HIER_NODE character - ZNODENAME.
Only root node infoobject is 0HIER_NODE. All another - Z.
    Thanks! ^)

  • Search Help displaying description but returning ID

    Hi All,
I have a textbox in web dynpro showing description (from table "Description" ) in a textbox after user selected some value from its search help.
The issue is, instead of description shown (which is correct), I want to process the value selected using its ID (from table "ID").
    Both tables have child-parent relation.
Unfortunately, both "ID" and "Description" are not key. The keys for both table are GUID (another field).
    Any suggested solution ?
    TIA,
    Tony

    Hi Tony,
In your search help try using index.
You can use the index number to select the value.
I have some sample code, you can use this as per your requirement.
    METHOD add_data .
      DATA : lt_urls TYPE if_main_view=>elements_drp_text.
      DATA : lr_element      TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node.
DATA :     url             LIKE LINE OF lt_urls.
Supply data for the node at runtime
      REFRESH lt_urls[].
      DO 5 TIMES.
        url-key = sy-index + 1 .
        CONDENSE url-key.
        CONCATENATE `www.` url-key `.com` INTO url-url.
        INSERT url INTO TABLE lt_urls.
      ENDDO.
      lr_element = wd_context->get_child_node( 'DRP_TEXT' ).
      lr_element->bind_table( lt_urls ).
    ENDMETHOD.
    Hope this will help you.
    Cheers,
    Darshna.

  • Search help issue with WebGui Transaction iView

    Hi All,
We have customized transaction ZME51 for ME51 transaction.
Transaction  iView has been created for this in EP.
But we are not getting search help within search help.
Please guide if anybody has got idea.
    regards,
    gangadharayya.

    Hi,
    Is your transaction working directly.
Try actual program/report transaction.. dont use Z transaction.
Check if you are getting search help for standard one? If so, you need to create Z searchhelps for yours.

    select-options :  s_tabn for DD02L-TABNAME .
i dont want any help in this field, but defalt i am getting because of DD02l
    Amit

    Hi,
You should try to not modify standard SAP search helps - they are generally easy to replace with customer search help versions without modifying the original. (Although there are a couple like the HR searchelp PREM where this does not work - it has exits / customising for setting how it behaves).
In SE11 display the original BUPA collective search help, and select the menu option "Goto-->Append Search Help". This will display a pop-up listing existing appends. Select the create button in the pop-up and give the new append a Z name - say Z_BUPA and save it. In the new Z_BUPA append go to the Included Search Helps tab and type in BUPAA and select the "Hide" checkbox. Save and activate. This has now hidden the BUPAA help in the original BUPA collective search help - go back and test it to see.
To add a replacement, copy BUPAA to a ZBUPAA search help and add it as an included search help in your Z_BUPA append. for this one you will need to select the Param Assignment button to link parameters between the collective and elementary search helps.
Doing the change this way means future support packs will not overwrite the changes you have made.
If the view or function needs changing, these should be copied to Z versions and changes made. The original code in the function module could instead be repaired using Modification assistant if there are not too many complicated changes.
With the BUP_SHLP_EXIT_SEVERALS function, there are a number of references to the search help name in the function that would need to change to the new Z name. Other changes depend on your requirements - The function is called a number of times during the search help display, with a different step executed each time (PRESEL1, PRESEL, SELECT in this case) - mods may be needed to only some steps. The steps are partly documented by comments in the code.
The function BUP_SHLP_EXIT_SEVERALS appears to have a BADI exit included in the PRESEL step (exit interface IF_EX_BUPA_AUGRP) - this may be of some use.
2.In this you don't need to create zsearch help.Just hide it.

  • Search help for input fields in a screen

2.do we want to create a MODULE PROCESS ON VALUE REQUEST ?
PLS tell me how to set search for the I/O field in se80?pls tell me the process?
i want to set the search help for more I/O fields in se80 but all the fields belongs to the same table?
can i create a single search for all these fields and use that for all the I/O fields ?
elementary search help or collective search help?
    thanks & regards in advance,
    vsnl.

    Hi,
    Input Help on the Screen
Within the Screen Painter, you can define two types of input help:
    1. The FIELD statement with one of the additions VALUES or SELECT.
    2. Linking a search help directly to a screen field.
If you link a search help directly to a screen field, it overrides the additions of the FIELD
statement. However, the input check [Page 581] functions of the FIELD statement remain
    unaffected.
    Input Help in Flow Logic
The following input help methods are obsolete and should not be used. They are still supported
    for compatibility reasons.
In the screen flow logic, you can specify a value list for a screen field <f> as follows:
    FIELD <f> VALUES (<val1>, <val2>,...).
The value list contains a series of single values <vali>. The NOT and BETWEEN additions for the
input check [Page 581] are not appropriate for input help.
You can also create a value list by accessing a database table as follows:
    FIELD <f> SELECT *
    FROM <dbtab>
    WHERE <k1> = <f1> AND <k2> = <f2> AND...
In the WHERE condition, the fields of the primary key <ki> of the database table <dbtab> are
checked against the screen fields <fi>. The WHENEVER addition, used with input checks [Page
581], is not necessary for input help.
If you have used a ABAP Dictionary reference for field <f>, the selection and the hit list formatting
may be affected by any check table attached to the field.
    Attaching a Search Help
Search helps from the ABAP Dictionary can be attached to a screen field [Ext.]. To do this, enter
the name of the search help in the corresponding field in the attributes of the screen field in the
Screen Painter. This assigns the first parameter of the search help to the screen field. It is only
possible to place a value from the hit list onto the screen.
    Input help on a screen.
    REPORT DEMO_DYNPRO_F4_HELP_DYNPRO MESSAGE-ID AT.
    DATA: CARRIER(3) TYPE C,
    CONNECTION(4) TYPE C.
    CALL SCREEN 100.
    MODULE CANCEL INPUT.
    LEAVE PROGRAM.
    ENDMODULE.
The next screen (statically defined) for screen 100 is itself. It has the following layout:
    602 April 2001
    Cancel
    Airline
    Flight number
    Screen field with search help
Input help in the flow logic
The input fields have been adopted from the program fields CARRIER and
CONNECTION. The function code of the pushbutton is CANCEL, with function type
    E. The search help DEMO_F4_DE with the search help parameter CARRID is
assigned to the screen field CARRIER. The search help uses the database table
    SCARR.
The screen flow logic is as follows:
    PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
    PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
    MODULE CANCEL AT EXIT-COMMAND.
    FIELD CARRIER VALUES ('AA', 'LH').
    FIELD CONNECTION SELECT *
    FROM SPFLI
    WHERE CARRID = CARRIER
    AND CONNID = CONNECTION.
When the user chooses the input help for the individual fields, the following input
    help is displayed:
For the Airline field, the search help displays the names of the airlines and places the airline
code in the input field for the chosen line. If the airline code is not one of those listed in the
VALUES list of the screen flow logic, the input check triggers an error message in the PAI
event. So the search help overrides the VALUES addition for the input help, but not for the
input checks. This is therefore not an appropriate place to use the VALUE addition.
For the Flight number field, the flow logic displays the selected entries from the database
table SPFLI and places the selected line in the input field.

  • Extra fields in search help window in Record working time EHP5

    Hi Experts,
Can you please let me know how to add additional fields/select options in search help window for Record Working Time ?
My system is EHP5 NW 7.02
I have added the custom search help for the respective filed in table " TCATS_SHLP_ITS".
I can see this table is having entry for only 4 selection options and 6 value fields for search help display.
But in my custom search help programme is having 8 select options(for advance search) and 10 display fields on the search window. It's working from CAT2 transaction but when I am running through webdynpro timesheet, I can only get 4 select options and 6 value fields.
Please let me know how to make the other fields available.
    Thanks in advance.
    Sonia

    Hi Siddharth,
Thanks for your response. In that modify possible entries screen (Details view) I can see the search help is only having 4 select options and 6 display fields.
So as per my understanding max 6 display fields/4 select options can only be displayed on search window.
My requirement is to display more fields on search help OVS window.
    Can you please suggest.
    Thanks ,

  • Adding elementry search help to SAP standard Collective Search help

    Hi,
I had copied standard elementary search help to MAT0M to ZZ_MAT0M and added some more fields and activated to it.
    it got activated sucessfully.
Now i have to attached the ZZ_MAT0M elementry search help to standard collective search help MAT1_A.
    How can i do that?
can i add it directly to MAT1_A (sell --->search help <MAT1_A> changes --> in included search helpss tab using + (insert icon) )
    Thanks & regards

    I solved my problem :
I had copied standard elementary search help to MAT0M to ZZ_MAT0M and added some more fields and copied Database View M_MAT1M to ZZ_M_MAT1M and addedd same fields and  activated both.
    both got activated sucessfully.
Now i have to attached the ZZ_MAT0M elementry search help to standard collective search help MAT1_A and this Z-search help shd appear on the first tab.
so I just went to collective search help MAT1_A in change mode --> click on "+" icon addedd my ZZ__ search help, save and activated it.
If you dont really care in which tab your search help shd appear, then the best option is to use Append Search help.
Note : if you are directly adding your search help in collective standard search help, then its better to remove hotkey form your custom elementry search help, as, if not remove will lead to warnings or make sure that you have unique hotkey in that collective search help.

    Hi,
If you want to Show the Search help for Particular Field in Screen painter , You must give the Code In PROCESS ON VALUE REQUEST(POV).

            callcontrol = callcontrol.
I am not getting all the data in my internal table and wanted to know if there is anyting wrong in my select statement.
Any guidance will be appreciated and awarded appropriate points.
