Search help for article master

Hi,
I need to add Purchasing Organization (EINE-EKORG) and Purchasing Group (EINE-EKGRP) to the artcile for search help. It has tab article by merchandise category which has merchandise category, article description , language and artcile.To this tab along with these purchasing organisation and purchasing group need to be added. so If there is any screen exit avialable please provide me. and if you have code also please provide that will be a great help. TCode(ME21N,ME22N and ME23N).

Hi Rohita,
Adding Matcode Id is correct...You can add this matchcode ID in the selection screen.
Also before adding the Matchcode ID ...You may need to write a select query with the condition to populate the data into that view.
Ex :
select single vbeln
           from vbak
                   into table t_matchcode
                   where vbak = xyz "give any condition which you wish to extract the data.
Suppose Matchcode Id is ZTA.
Select-options : s_vbeln for vbak-vbeln matcode id ZTA
So that it will display the Serach help with all the details.

SRS Search Help for Articles

I've had a request to add a vendor characteristic to the list that is generated by the SRS Search Help for Articles.
Currently is is displaying just the article number and the article description.
I found the BAdI - WSRS_MAT_KEY_SRC. It is called during the search help. The method WSRS_MATKEY_PBO_SUBSCREEN provides an internal table with the articles that matched the search criteria. In addition to the article number and description are the UPC/EAN, Vendor Article Number and "Long article number for SAP Retail Store". None of these fields are being populated. When I enter, during debug, values into these fields, they are not displayed. (Only the article number and description are being displayed.)
Does anyone know where this search output list is configured? Although I have found the actual article display for SRS in SPRO/IMG, I did not find where the search output list is configured.

Search Help for Material Master

We would like to have a search help for the material master.
This should help me search the materials which have the product hierarchy field filled.
Please let me know if the below steps are correct.
1)Create a new Match Code say zMAT_prod
2)Add the match Code zMAT_prod to MAT1_A collective search help.

Hi,
I would like to change the Search Help for Payment Terms Field, in Customer Master (KNVV-ZTERM). and in Sales Document. I believe it is the same.
Default is From Table T052 / T052U
ZTERM and TEXT1 Fields

ZTERM and VTEXT

Hi,
The search help for the payment terms is not coming from the DDIC search help..
It is coded in the process on value-request event...
The function module FI_F4_ZTERM is called for this..you have to change this function module in case if you want the values from a different table..
OR do implicit enhancement in the subroutine FORM HELP_ZTERM in the include MF02DFH0 to call your search help instead of the function module FI_F4_ZTERM ..And do the same for the sales order also..

Hello Jacky,
To combine all the answers above and have a topic-based reply please go through the below steps:
#1. Inactivate the current extension field Company (I see it is actually a String value and this is not what you want to have)
#2. Go to Setup -> System Setup -> Extension Reference Types
Check if you already have a Company reference type
If not, create a new Extension Reference Type for Class Company. Fill in all required information.
#3. Create a new Extension Attribute
Select Data Type: Object Reference
Now you can add the Company type as reference

Search help for the "Week Select option"

Now there is there search help for the S012-SPWOC field. How can I create the seach help for this fields.

Search help for ztable

Dear Experts,
I hv created 2 ztables. 1) ydept and 2) yemp_msater.
ydept table contains master data and yemp_msater table referecing this table.
I hv created a search help for ydept-dept field. when i run ydept ( SE11) I see the search help with 2 column one is for dept code and department name in other.
And i hv used same field in yemp_msater, but for this table, search help is with department code only. but i want department code and department name as i can see for ydept table.
can any one has idea about how to achieve this.

open your search help in change mode
make all field (in your case 2 field) as IMP
and code as EXP.
now activate your search help

Search help for Material long text ?

Hello,
A given material code MATNR is linked a material short text ( MAKT_MAKTG for example) which is on max 40 characters.
Where can i maintain the material long text ( around 100 characters) which is available in a search help in standard SAP ?
Note : in the material master data, i know the view Purchase order text, but is there any search help for this ?
Or do you have to develop an own search help ?

OK, i understand that a search help on long text is not a good idea
Nevertheless, 40 characters to name a material is too short for our users. Do you know any other text field that we can use ? because i imagine it is not possible to extend MAKTG to more that 40 char.
Our issue is that we upload our material data from some manufacturer material file, and their material description (even the one called " short text" is often more than 40 char.
Do you see any possible solution ?

Please try by adding the Fields material type in the transaction OMSH,
SPRO -> IMG-> Logistics - General-> Material Master-> Tools-> Maintain Search Helps
Read the Documentation of the Customzing before procedding futher.

Creating search help for a field in AdHoc Query

Hi
We have created an infoset based on LDB PCH.
(The infoset contains object type O only).
For the object-id field the users want search help when choosing this field for selection.
Using "start via selection screen" does not give a good solution.
Can anyone explain how I can create search help for fields in an infoset?

Search Help for Vendor Feild not getting populated in the Screen Element

Hi Everyone,
In transaction Miro, I get a POP-UP for Invoicing Party i.e. Vendor and Users required a custom search help.
The Search help for Vendor(LIFNR) is KRED_C and i appended a Z search help under this.
Now that the search help exists and I can drill down the values too but when i select/choose any value, that value is not getting populated in Screen feild.
is there any validation I need to do for this.
Please suggest me... I checked SDN there are many things but i couldn't figure out wat i need to do and where I need to modify.

I observerd that you have lt_stock and lt_mat2 declared in the part of the program

Also the problem of display you are facing can also be because there are no records to be displayed which satisfies the selection criteria.

Hi,
when you define your field catalogue you can create data elements with search help in se11 and use them for field 1 and field 2.
But maybe it is enough to use data elements belonging to a domain with a value help and to set field F$AVAILABL in the field catalogue or to fill the name of the field CHECKTABLE.

How to get search help for 2nd parameter based on the 1st parameter value

   I have 2 parameters (material no, revision level). I have created a search help for revision level. It has an importing parameter :material no. and one exporting parameter : revision level.When I checked it, it's giving the revision values only for the specified.
In my report , I have kept these 2 materials in my selection screen.For revision level , I have added the matchcode object which I have created. When I pressed F4 for revision level, it's giving all the values irrespective of the material no. in the first parameter. How to solve it? Please suggest.
