Search highlights from external highlight server

In Acrobat Reader 9, under Edit > Preferences > Search, the "Enable search highlights from external highlight server" option is by default set to false. For those of us who use third party search engines to search PDF files on the web, this is a disaster. The only way to enable hit highlighting in this situation is to have users change their settings manually, which is a lot to ask of people who are not tech savvy.
Does anyone know of a solution to this problem? Would Adobe change the default settings to true in future versions? Is there some kind of workaround?

Why did Adobe change the defaut? I am installing dtSearch and it works great in Adobe 8 and below. But Adobe changed version 9 changed and so now the hits do not show and the "Jump to next Hits" and "Jump to previous Hits" does not show on the Adobe toolbar.
My problem is that this makes dtSearch look bad - like their search page is no good.
If I create web pages using dtSearch, the users will not know enough to set the Enable search highlights from external highlight server.
Even if I put a big note on the web page, I know that people will not read it and they will think that the web page is buggy.
I sure wish Adobe would put this back and make Enable search highlights from external highlight server the default.

We have a document management system that highlights search text on PDF documents from an external hit highlighting server.
The current version of adobe X does not seem to support this. This was a very good feature in adobe for the document management industry. Can we please get to know why this feature was disabled ?
Also, Is there a way by any chance that we can enable this feature ? if not does Adobe have any plans to restore this feature in the next release.

Why did Adobe change the default for this option so that users now have to turn this on if they want it?

I'm in the same boat you are... As far as I know, HH was turned of for security reasons. I think we're stuck with using open parameters by appending the search term to the url for the document.
If I find a better way, I'll give you a heads up.

i have intergrated an external content server to SAP using SAP archive link. All the scanned document are there in Content server and corresponding entries are done in SAP.I can search and view document using tcode : OAAD
Please tell me steps for "how to attach a document from external content server using Generic Object Service "
Scenario is : For example when we change any Master records or create a new PO, or do some financial transaction then i need to attach the supporting document which is there in my content server connected to SAP.how do we manual attach a Document in SAP using GOS.

Hello,
Check your configuration of document type assignement to required business document - object type, Archivelink table, content repository in OAC3 transaction.
Goto respective business document > Click on GOS > Create > Store business document - Here you can see defined document type with desctiption. Double click on this the assign your document to this business document. Save it.
This will help in attaching the document to your required business document.
To verify you can check the archivelink table or by transaction OAAD.

While clicking task tab in self service page i am getting

How to send XML packet from external socket server to OSB

Hi folks,
How do I use external Socket Server(tcp) to send payload to OSB ?
I have configured the socket protocol in my OSB. I am also able to send and receive responses by testing my proxy services from OSB itself.
But now, we want to use some external socket (tcp)server to be able to fire some xml file and then receive response on OSB.

You need to use a socket client application to send a message to a socket where your proxy is listening. For receiving a message at a socket, configure business service at OSB.

Download email from External Postfix Server to Leopard Mail Server?

Any pointers to specific articles, much appreciated.
We presently have our website and mail servers (postfix) hosted on surftown, which has squirrelmail for webmail.
We do not have a static IP and use dyndns.
The domain on surftown is xxxx.com
We also run an intranet with a couple of Leopard Servers behind a VPN,with our own local DNS on intranet.xxxx.com
I would like to take the emailserver inside the VPN and onto a Leopard Server, but leave the website on surftown.
Is it possible to have postfix on a Leopard Server log onto the postfix server at surftown and draw the email off?
Users would then access their email via the Leopard Server.
If they are in the office LAN or in a satellite office connected VPN, then they will use POP/IMAP within Mail.
If they are outside the VPN they can use Webmail via a logon with a Netgear SSL312.
Does anyone have any experience of using the Leopard Server postfix to tap an external postfix service? It would certainly be cheaper than paying DynDNS to do a mailhop and trap.

Switching from external Email server to Exchange, Understanding Dis-Joint, and a little help please

I'm pretty new at installing exchange myself and have never done Exchange 2013
While going through the install help online I came across disjointed domains. I think I'm over thinking this but here is what I have and what I want to do. Any other tips would be great as well.
Customer currently has a domain, internal dns and email through GoDaddy. Lets call it smallschool.com
Internally they have a new Active Directory (2012) and the domain is in.smallschool.com. There is no external DNS except GoDaddy. I plan to use that (if that's ok).
I have built a Hyper-V for Exchange 2013 and have installed pre-requisites.
My Current Question are...
Do I need to set up dis-joint dns suffix and modify the msds-allowdnssuffix attribute? I have the instructions, I just don't know if this is a must or not with the domain names like they are.
Am I going to run into any trouble switching GoDaddy's email to Exchange Server? Any Tips?

If that is the case, when you deployed a new AD domain with in.smallschool.com, we can create an accepted domain for smallschool.com in Exchange 2013. If you want to still use Godaddy for external message sending and receiving, you can create an external

Passing message text from external RFC server into SAP EXCEPTION parameter

This is the code which calls an external credit card application server. I'm trying to figure out how, on the server side, I can return a message into the rfc_msg_text variable on the system_failure or communication_failure EXCEPTIONS.
Ive found several examples of this construct in ABAP code in the SAP side but I cant for the life of me find anything that shows how to set this up in our external server.
There are several SAP function modules like RFC_PING that have similar constructs but I cant see the compiled C code to tell what command to use to fill in that text. I can raise the exception, just not fill in the text.
Any ideas?

I do not quite understand the problem.
Is there an external NON-SAP system, that needs to do the call?
Within any external SAP system (inside the RFC Function Module) you can raise exceptions in the following manner:
MESSAGE e398(00) WITH par1 par2 par3 par4 RAISING exception_1.
Message 398 in class 00 contains only & & & & as text.
Each & is replaced by par1 through par4.
Suppose par1='Order' par2='1234' par3='invalid' par4=''.
Then a message would be build like: Order 1234 invalid.
This all would reside in the remote called function module.
When you call this module and after any exception in the call the addition MESSAGE rfc_msg_txt was put, then the variable rfc_msg_txt='Order 1234 invalid'.
But as already stated before, i'm not quite sure what the problem is. Shed some light to it.

Suppress standard Tax procedure for tax returned from external tax server

Hi All,
We are facing an issue after implementing the external tax engine called CTE.
In some scenarios, when CTE is returning reverse charge lines, we are passing the same lines into the BAPI for posting.
Ex: We can clearly see that two reverse charge lines (input and output taxes) being returned by CTE.
Now, we pass the tax lines into the BAPI for posting. We get the following:
We can clearly see that apart from the tax lines which have been sent by CTE, we also get two additional lines having +-1000 as amount.
Now, we tried to post the document without passing the tax lines into BAPI and we get,
The additional lines are still there. Thus, I came to the conclusion that these tax lines are being added by SAP standard tax procedure as tax calculation.
Now, since we have already calculated tax using CTE (for some cases specially reverse charge scenario), we do not need SAP standard tax procedure to calculate tax again and add new tax lines to the posted document.
Thus, our main objective is to suppress the standard tax procedure ( like TAXAT, TAXGB, etc) or few of the cases.
We tried to analyze from our end but still could not reach a solution for the same.
Is there any way or any indicator which you can use to suppress the standard tax procedure in case we are using CTE to calculate tax?

You can create and use a new tax code which is applicable only for Delivery charge cases.
Use a new pricing condition type for this Tax .and condition records with access sequence and tax code can be amintianed only for this condition type.
You will have to modify pricing procedure for the same.
Depending on condition records and document inputs the tax values for delivery will get triggered.
You can also put an order reason in Accounting determination access sequence through which on This special sales ,
account determiantion can be changed.

On the Web Interface I get the message (German):

which means translated: G/L Account No 6610005 not available - please check your entry (position1).
I don't even find the Message Class which holds the message - It's not under package BBP_PU. In fact, when logging on in English - still the message is displayed German, while the messages in message class of package BBP_PU are translated.
In fact, I think, I am almost done - all required fields are accessible in ABAP - I just don't know, when to put what where...

I've got a pdf "Open Catalog Interface" which also gives an html example - i can email you.
But let me tell you how I did it.
1. You define a catalog in SPRO for your BSP. SPRO -- general settings -- Enterprise Buyer -- define catalogs
there you place a parameter HOOK_URL as return URL. I guess that is what you already did.
2. Now it's really simple. When you jump to your BSP the HOOK_URL gets also transferred to your BSP. You just have to set up the page attribute 'HOOK_URL' as string auto-value (don't forget to check auto), and then you should be able to deal with its value the way you want.
In my case I transfer the value to a second result.htm.
I set up an htmlb:form which includes an invisible input field:

                          value    = "<%= HOOK_URL %>"
                          disabled = "X"
                          visible = "FALSE"

I guess a hidden field will do to.

Web Dynpro application calling external web server using HTTPS giving error

I don't know whether this is the right question in this forum but my ABAP web-dynpro applicaiton is expected to call another HTTP application on external web server through HTTPS. Presently it is calling through plain HTTP but we want to have HTTPS.
Here are the steps that we followed based on the link from help.sap.com
1] Received the certificate files from external web server
2] Created SSL Anonymous client
3] Imported the certificate files under this client and added into the certificate list
4] Re-started ICM
5] Created RFC Destination of type HTTP to connect to external server with SSL option and basic authentication. This RFC destination was working under plain HTTP.
When tried with Test connection it gave error "ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED".
Any idea what might be missing. Thanks in advance.

For example: i'm searching "kookoo" and get results.
Sometimes in search results the word is in Bold in title as:
Sometimes not (for the same file that was found!)
Does it depends whether the search is "from scratch" as in the home page of search or after another search fine tuning? after move to page 2 of results? etc.

Any records in the search result treat as a document; SharePoint 2013 crawler takes the document and crawled & indexed in the file system. So the data display in the search result is take care by the
HitHilightedSummary
MP.
So when search term matched with the document it bold that text and displays the first and last character corresponding to
that document (result). if it’s not match it return the any random text from the document and displays in the search results.
If you customized the search result and display your own Managed Properties retuned as hit highlighted. Please follow the this blog
