Search in Cyrillic language

Hi,
I have maintained vendor name in Cyrillic language as well as in english langague.
Now I am in XK03 transaction and I am trying to find a vendor based on Cyrillic word search string.
System is not giving me the search results if input is in Cyrillic format. If it is in english, system gives me the search results.
I want to know if its standard or we need to implement any SAP Notes.
Any clue is appreciated,
Thanks,
Dipak

source SAP International Address Versions:
Searching for Address Versions
No search help is delivered for address versions in the SAP standard. You therefore have to create your own search help for this and add it to the relevant SAP standard search help.
To do this, proceed as follows:
Creating a Search Help
1. Go to transaction SE11. The ABAP Dictionary: Initial Screen is displayed.
2. Select the Database Table checkbox, enter ADRC in the adjacent field and choose Display.
3. Find the names of the fields you require in the Short Text column and make a note of their actual field names. The fields normally required are the client, address number, customer/vendor/bank number, and nation.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the specific application table to be used, such as KNA1.
5. Go back to the ABAP Dictionary: Initial Screen and select the View checkbox. Enter a name for your search help in the adjacent field and choose Create.
6. In the subsequent dialog box, select the Database View checkbox and choose Copy. The Dictionary: Maintain View screen is displayed.
7. Under Tables on the Tables/Join Conditions tab page, enter the names of the tables used above.
8. In the Join Conditions frame, enter a field name from the first table and its corresponding name from the second table used, for each field required.
9. Enter a short text for your search help and choose Save.
10. In the subsequent dialog box, enter the required development class and choose Save.
Adding a Search Help to an SAP Standard Search Help
11. Go back to the ABAP Dictionary: Initial Screen and select the Search Help checkbox. In the adjacent field, enter the name of the relevant collective search help delivered by SAP in which your search help to be included, for example DEBI2. The Dictionary: Display Search Help screen is displayed.
12. Choose the Included Search Helps tab page and enter the name of the search help you created above in the Search Help column and the corresponding short text. Choose Save.
Result
Your own defined search help is included in the list of standard SAP search helps and you can now use it to search for an address version.

  • We would like to use cyrilic language characters in ECC system with custome

We would like to use cyrilic language characters in ECC system with "customer reserve" language (Z1).
We have positive experience on  one system for certain business partner in Macedonia (there is no Macedonian language to install as SAP standard) by using "customer reserve" language (Z1).
Now we are about to introduce other system with same approach. The trouble is that after entering Macedonian language on an cost center with language Z1 on first language  and transfering it via idoc we get hashes("#") instead of characters on second language
What could be the reason? I suplemented with english (as on the first system where everything is ok)  the "Customer reserve"(Z1)  language normaly(with default settings).
On first system this was not done by me.
Should supplementation be done specificly?.(how to find settings for supplemention on first system?)
    Please give me a hint

    Hi,
To check supplement language go to T-code, SMLT ->Language ->Special actions->Supplementaion
you can get more information from below SDN thread.
    Cyrilic char not coming properly
Below SAP help document gives you how to find supplement language & installation of languaes.

  • How to search using Arabic language

Hi I am from united Arab emirates my mother language is arabic when using apple tv I would like to search in my language how could I add language to the keyboard ? Can some one help me please.

    Hi,
To get the Chinese language installed in the device, visit a nearby Nokia Care Point in your city. Language packs are region dependent.

  • Invoice needs to be printed in cyrillic language along with english language

    Hi All,
We have been printing invoice only in english lanuage for Kazakhstan ,now they need it printed in cyrillic language also.that is they will have two invoices one in english and anothr one in cyrillic.
Can you please guide me through the configuration steps
1.Do i need to create a language specific scripts for this ?
2.Which all config need to be done from SD side ?
    Thanks
    Manaf

    Hi Manaf,
If you want to have multi language invoice layouts then you have to upload the master data like sales org details, customer details in both the languages ( English & Cyrillic languages)
    1) You also need to get the Cyrillic language details from your user for hard-coding the details in the invoice layout.Ex- INVOICE, CREDIT MEMO, DEBIT MEMO etc.
See below table shows for French language
    Name in English
    Name in French language
    Invoice
    Facture
    Date
    date
    Due Date
    redevable le
    Account
    compte
    Terms
    terme
    Bill To
    facturé à
    Period
    periode
    Desciption
    description
    2) After getting the details in Cyrillic language and we have to work with  technical consultant and give the logic of fetching the data from different tables.
    3) Now, in billing document header output if you input language key as English(EN) then system will pick the English invoice layout or if it is CY then Cyrillic layout will be picked accordingly.

  • Why does Tomcat cause IE to load Cyrillic language pack? How do I stop it?

I have found a bug with IE 5.5 and IE 6.0, that if you hit my JSP page
running on a Tomcat server, it asks you to load the Cyrillic language
pack. If you say sure, and go get the Win2K CD, everything works fine.
If you say never bother me with this stupid question, you get a
blank page. If you do view source, the HTML is there just fine, and
if you click the address bar and press enter, the page paints fine.
I dont want to force all visitors to my page to install a language
pack, and I dont see why its needed because my pages dont use it!
I have to believe Tomcat is causing it somehow but I need help
    turning it off.
    Thanks,
    Wayne

AHHH! I wish I could give myself 10 Duke Dollars. It turns out that
    <%@ page contentType="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-5" %> tells
Tomcat to tell the browser that the content is Cyrillic. I had
mistakenly copied the line into my page and not noticed the -5
    should have been a -1.

  • Full text search in Chinese Language not finding results

We are translating one of our Webhelp projects into
simplified chinese, and everything is working fine except full text
search. We can type chinese characters into the search box but no
results appear even though we have already translated a lot of the
webhelp into chinese. Note that we have breadcrumbs, TOC and Index
    functioning correctly in chinese.
The FAQ for Robohelp claims that FTS is supported in other
languages but I am stuck - I can't figure out how to make it work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There was some language stuff in those patches that I hoped
would fix your problem, obviously not.
I am not familiar with working with languages. Have you tried
changing the language in Project Settings? Have you tried importing
a couple of topics into a new project?
Beyond that, hopefully someone with more relevant knowledge
    can help you.

  • Intermedia search in mixed language CAs

Here is an additional problem, arising when using Intermedia on
CA containing documents in multiple languages.
If choosing not to declare the language, so using a default
English definition even for non English documents, Intermedia
will not be able to use properly the stem operator (it will
    always apply the English one).
If adding management of multiple languages, in addition to the
problems exposed in a question already submitted to this forum,
it will be mandatory to specify the language, so to search either
in documents belonging to a language or in the others, with the
proper usage of stem operator, but without the possibility to
perform a multi-language search (many times people are interested
in searching with language-neutral keywords, this setting will
    make this impossible).
Is there anything available to solve the problem? Thanks.

    Johan,
Are you using 306? There was bug in 306 where users were not able to search for swedish characters in "Simple" search, but were able to in "Advanced" search.
This issue has been resolved in 308 release.

  • Why does registering as "English (British)" give me a mixture of English and some Cyrillic language?

The User Name and Password boxes were in Cyrillic and the "Repeat password" and "Email address" boxes were in English. Subsequent pages are also mixed. It appears that some of the words and sentences have been converted into Klingon, but others (Thank goodness!) haven't yet.
nb. My tech detail responses refer to what follows: I only came here to get rid of, "The update could not be installed (patch apply failed)". The message is about as useful as Micro$oft's "This application failed to install".
I'd just like to know how to prevent the update attempts so I can identify the add-on responsible.

Thank you for such a rapid and comprehensive reply.
I should have split my response into two entries. It was only registering here that gave me the Cyrillic script. I should have noted the words, as former USSR languages don't even share every Cyrillic character. It could therefore have been Estonian or some other non-Russian language.
It seems to only be a problem with the initial registration. This page is totally English.
You're right about the dragons. Maybe I disabled the reminder in a previous version. May the dragon warning stay forever!
I don't like the "This is embarrassing..." line though. If Mozilla can get permission from Fox Entertainment, it should say something like, "D'OH! Here's Homer's best guess at what pages you had open before."
I have no problem with local UK settings. I suspect it's just an error on the UK registration page that 'cookied' me from then on as being Lithuanian or something.
If I was Cinderella, I'd have become a pumpkin by now, so I'll check out your links after I've had some sleep.

    Hi!
    I'm using iTunes 9.0.3
When I switch to Japanese hiragana/katakana or Korean

  • # Characters in PSA - Cyrillic language

    Hi All,
Both R3 and BI (7.0) are Unicode systems. I'm pulling data into 0BPARTNER using 0BP_DEF_ADDRESS_ATTR DataSource. Russian business partners have Cyrillic characters Adress texts. My problem is:
In Development, the load was successful.
In Quality, only in Adress Lines fields, Cyrillic characters are being converted into #, while other filelds such as Street Name, District, are being loaded correctly.
I can't find any difference between both systems. Do you have any idea?
    thanks!

    Hi Mariano,
    Here are ideas:
Check PSA table directly in se16 (may be data is OK there)
What if data arrives to BW already with # (If source system was converted to unicode - some mistakes in conversion were possible) - check in RSA3,
I would regenerate (even delete PSA and create it again).

  • Bug 3620113 on custom search with French Language (Portal 10.1.2.0.1)

I am working on Portal 10.1.2.0.1 Seone version and I am facing the Bug 3620113: AUTOQUERY SEARCH GIVES ERROR WHEN SEARCHING FOR CREATE DATE < #TODAY#-7
As mentionned in this bug, I have configured a custom search portlet to display documents: everything works fine in english but when switching to french, I got a WWS-31365 error (non valid date).
Is there any means to have this request working? I am doing a POC at a customer site and this is very important this works.

    Hi,
This is defenitely strange - if you click on the "Login" link, you should be prompted for the plain vanilla SSO Username & Password. I have faced this problem infrequently only in Netscape 7.1.
Did you try clearing the Browser Cache ? Which is the browser you are using ?

It's somewhat hard to read your question because of the xml formatting characters, but I think your question is

my sql server support arabic language but i dont know how to handel query to accept arabic
    in query analyzer i write

    i modify query as following
select * from Employee where EmployeeName=N'احمد'
it work and give me result meaning my sql support arabic
my proplem in this stored procedure
it is dynamic stored procedure and have more parameter but i dont know how to modify to accept arabic
The answer is that when you have 16 bit UNICODE data you must always compare the results as unicode, store the data in unicode (that is, nvarchar, nchar, or ntext) columns and variables and when using literals, you must use unicode literals (that is use
N'<the literal you want>', not '<the literal you want>'.  This is because whenever you implicitly or explicitly convert a unicode value to an eight bit value and there are characters in the unicode value that don't have a corresponding match
in the 8 bit system, those values are converted to question marks.  So in
Select * From Employee Where EmployeeName = 'احمد'
the 'احمد' are 16 bit unicode characters, but you are putting them into an 8 bit literal, so those characters get converted to question marks and that statement is equivalent to
Select * From Employee Where EmployeeName = '????'
and you don't get any rows back because you don't have any emplyees whose name is ????.
So when you are writing and calling your stored procedure, every thing that can contain an unicode value must be a unicode literal, column, or variable.  That means all such literals must be of the form N'<something', your columns, variables, and
parameters that can contain unicode data need to be nvarchar or nchar, any unicode values passed to that procedure must be nvarchar, nchar, or a unicode literal.
