Search iPhone disappoints

Here are two examples. Search iPhone function when trying to locate information in the Notes field of Info page within Contacts, fails. The names of people that I was trying to locate did not come up in the search. Also, on another search in the Notes app, Search iPhone function did locate the name, but did NOT highlight the name in a lengthy document, making the search practically worthless. I gave up looking.
If I am doing something wrong I will make a genuine apology to the Apple Spirits.

For the spotlight search facility to be of any use to humans, it needs to behave the way humans think and forget.
Let me begin with a typical problem.
I recall meeting somebody whose name and address I DO NOT remember. So I turn to spotlight search. If I did remember the above, I would NOT turn to Spotlight.
Though I do not remember the name of the chap, I do remember that he was bald and had a sagging jowl. These and similar visual, auditory, olefactory and contextual particulars I routinely write down so that they may help me remember....
Now by not making the utility search the notes part of the database, you have missed the purpose of a search facility completely!
In my mind this casual approach is typical of Microsoft - not the Apple I would like to think of. Very disappointing indeed!
