Search Music Videos?

I'm not really sure where this post should go but this looked like a good place to try. Anyway, I think the ability to now purchase music videos for your viewing pleasure is great but I haven't seen a good way to search videos yet. Will a better search feature be in the works or am I just not trying to search for them properly?

Also, try "Power Search". It's in sidebar of the store, right under "Browse". If you scroll through the "Genre" pull-down menu, one of the options is"Music Videos". This should limit your search.

EDIT: I just tried this myself, and it doesn't seem to work yet! Search results only return music, not video files. Hmmmm....not quite ready for primetime yet.

IPod Classic: "Search" - pick video - plays back like a music track

Well, seems there are quite som more bugs.
I found i could do this:
1) "Search" for something
2) pick a video from the result
3) press play
What i get: the "music" style layout (static preview 3D image to the left, title etc. on the right, soundtrack playing) instead of the expected video playback.
Anyone else who has this?

Not A Happy Customer.
This is normal, it's even explained in the manual. That way, you can listen to the audio only of a music video if you want and save battery. Useful if you're not at home and your iPod is in your pocket.

Music video search not working

I just tried to search the music video catagory search and it does not work as it has been working. It takes you to the music download area. Example search for "Rock" and it brings you to Rock music download. Before it gave you a search area with a listing of groups in that section, allowing you to see if any new groups were added. Any one else having this problem? Also where can one complain to Apple about this?

You can also use Browse (Command-B) to select a category and see just the videos. It would be nice if there was a "New" category.
In exploring the artists in the various categories, I see that some artists are listed in more then one category and their videos are not cross-linked so that you do not see all of that artist's videos at once this way. Thus, you have to look at Jazz, Pop, & Vocal to see all of Diana Krall's videos. But then, the same thing happens browsing by genre either in the store or in our personal collections in iTunes.
There is the "Just Added" strip on the main videos page, but that only shows 16 videos. The "Just Added" strip does have a "See All" link, funny thing is, the strip shows 16 videos, but if you click on "See All", then, at least for today, only ten videos are listed.
I hadn't looked for new material in the way you describe it used to work, but I can verify that it isn't working that way now, and, yes, it is a loss.

I found a K-Pop song that is probably old on iTunes but I want to get the video of it (T-ARA - Wonderwoman). I see the video on You Tube but can't seem to find it on the USA iTunes Store. What do I do? Thank you for your reply.

The are categorized under "music videos". Just between TV Shows and Audiobooks.

How do I play iTunes Music Videos on my PC

I bought a music video on my iPad and want to play it on my Laptop.
I can't find anywhere on iTunes on my Laptop where that option comes up. I can search the same music video on the iTunes store on my laptop and it comes up for sale again.
I used to play them on my PC all the time, but haven't tried it in a year. Did the support for this get removed from iTunes for some reason?

Not sure if anyone else is having issues, but I've had more problems since I upgraded to iOS 8 and all the subsequent versions of 8 than I've ever experienced upgrading Windows on a PC, since they came out with Windows ME. Certain features in a bunch of apps stopped working, video playback freezes all the time (this is on an iPad 4), and stuff that I have just bought, regularly comes up telling me that I haven't purchased it, even though I have a receipt for it.
HELP! I really wish I could roll back to iOS7.X, even 8.1 really, really *****!

Ok I Know I Have 8GB of Memory on My 2009 2.66Ghz 24inch Apple iMac Computer that I Bought on Monday in July 27th 2009. & so i'm buying Music & Movies & TV Shows on Apple iTunes & every time I Buy something its gonna eat up My Memory & I Wanted to know if it's ok if I Can Save My Movies & Music & TV Shows to a Blank DVD Disc & a Blank CD Disc & I Wanted to really know & understand witch kind do i need to do it? cause when i get the money i'm gonna go to Staples & buy blank Disc's but witch kind do i need to put TV Shows & Movies & Music on from Apple iTunes onto to a Disc? i did asked this before on here but not sure where my other topic was at on here? You can indeed burn moves and shows from the iTunes Store to a data DVD (via Finder or other software) for backup purposes, which is I believe what Byron is asking about (though I can't be sure). You just can't burn them to a video DVD to be played in a standard DVD player.
Well, I'm not sure about that. Having just re-read the terms, it appears that you may re-download content, and that you can burn songs, but this appears to not include videos (unless it is iTunes Plus content):
(iv) You shall be authorized to burn an audio playlist up to seven times.
(v) You shall not be entitled to burn video iTunes Products or ringtone iTunes Products.
(vi) iTunes Plus Products do not contain security technology that limits your usage of such products, and Usage Rules (ii) – (v) do not apply to iTunes Plus Products. You may copy, store, and burn iTunes Plus Products as reasonably necessary for personal, noncommercial use.
Reading further, then there is this:
(ix) Content Rentals
(a) Content rentals are viewable on only one device at a time. You must be connected to the iTunes Service when moving rentals, and you may do so only between your computer and other compatible devices. Content rented using your Apple TV, iPad, iPhone 4, or iPod touch (4th generation) may not be moved. If you move a rental to a compatible device and then use the iTunes Service to restore that device, or choose Settings > Reset > Erase all content and settings on that device, the rental will be permanently deleted.

Even after years of deciphering contracts and the sometimes rather complex content, I find this a bit confusing and I'd be checking with Apple to make sure I'm not doing anything I shouldn't be.

IPod Classic 160GB - Lost Of Music & Video Files When Connected To iTunes

I currently have the latest model of the Apple iPod Classic. It's been working great until I decided to connect it to my laptop, to use iTunes. I've done this so many times before without having any problems. Until recently that is.
My laptop and iTunes are able to read my iPod, but when it shows up on iTunes the music and video section disappears. Only 'Other' and 'Free' shows on the ipod's GB stats, with only 148 GB left to use. Before this happened, I had only 110 GB or so to use, maybe even less, since I had tons of music and video files stored. Also downloaded games, which also disappeared.
I thought iTunes was the problem, but when I disconnected my iPod, I searched through it manually, and found that all of music, videos, and games are gone, it's like I didn't put anything in it. The only thing that stayed, was the notes, other than that everything vanished. Is there a way to retrieve my old music, video, and game files back? I tried looking into the hidden files of the ipod itself, and went into 'ipod_control' then to music, but every single folder was empty, all 'F' folders.
I am deeply frustrated about this. I really hope there are solutions out there to help me, without having to re do everything.
Forgot to add, don't know if this will help but, when I connected the iPod to iTunes, there was a pop up message saying something like 'CheeziPuffs cannot be found or played on your iPod' I have never had this pop up message before when the ipod worked perfectly on iTunes.

I am having the same problem. Sometimes I get an error code and sometimes I don't. I tried to get apple to do something about it however mine is also out of warranty so no luck. I have read about a lot a people having syncing issues like this with their ipod classic and I am kind of amazed that apple is not willing to fix this issue. If I get it fixed or have any luck with apple I will post here. Good Luck.

I'm dissapointed in the lack of Music Videos available?

Now I have my 80Gb video ipod since Christmas and I want to build a nice collection of music videos. However, the selection on iTunes is poor and not all music videos are accessible from the main music videos page. Many seem hidden.
Apple needs to make alot more videos available and make them easier to find or at least when searching for ALL videos they should show ALL!!!
I want a particular video from "Melanie C - I Turn To you" and what amazes me is that there doesn't seem to be anywhere on the net who's selling music videos but plenty of online viewing in poor quality only. I will gladly pay to get the videos i want but yet again the music industry seems very slow in getting their act together - no wonder they have a problem with piracy!!!
Come on iTunes please give us more music videos and a better selection as you seem to me to be leading the way!!!

With the project all done, i'm preparing for the presentation. Managed to get my hands on a HD beamer for the night (Epason TW2000) and planning to do the presentation in HD.
That of course managed to bring up some problems. I posted a thread which i'll repost here . Sorry for the repost, i normally do not intend to do this, but since this thread is actually about the same thing, i'd like to ask the same question to you. The end version is in AfterEffects, but that actually doesn't alter the question. It's about export:
"I want to export my AE project of approx 30 min containing several HD files to a Blu Ray disc. The end goal is to project the video in HD quality using the Epson EMP-TW2000 projector. This projector is HD compatible.
To project the video I need to connect the beamer to a computer capable of playing a heavy HD file (1), OR burn the project to a BRD (2) and play it using a BRplayer.
I prefer option 2, so my question is: which would be the preferred export preset?
Project specs:
                    - 1920x1080 sq pix (16:9)
                    - 25 fps
                    - my imported video files (Prem.Pro sequences) are also 25 fps and are Progressive (!)
To export to a BRD compatible format, do i not encounter a big problem: my projectfiles are 25 fps and progressive, and I believe that the only Bluray preset dispaying 1920x1080 with 25 fps requests an INTERLACED video (I viewed the presets found on this forum, this thread)... There is also a Progr. format, BUT then you need 30 fps (29,...).
So, is there one dimension that can be changed without changing the content of the video, and if yes which one (either the interlacing or the fps).
I'm not very familiar with the whole Blu-ray thing, I hope that someone can help me out."

Music video plays in itunes but not on ipod

like my subject line states, i transferred a whole bunch of music videos off of dvd into mp4 format using videora.
they play in itunes but not on my ipod.
i transferred about 400 or so at the same time to ipod do you think that's why most of them won't play ?
should i do it one by one ?

it's more than just the mp4 format. They need to be encoded correctly with the right dimensions and other attributes as well. I don't bother with this sort of thing right now. If there is anyone who has these specs, just post them here. Otherwise, you can always google them or search these boards for the proper format/size/encoding.

Type "move itunes library" into the google search bar.

Can't Remove Music Video from iPad

I have been searching the various forums and discussions and have not found a solution to this problem that worked. My daughter has an iPad which is registered under my name and is using my iTunes account. There are couple of music videos that I wish to remove from the iPad. I am running the latest iOS on the fourth generation iPad.
I manually deleted the videos from my iTunes and the iMac. In iTunes on my iMac, I don't have the option for syncing music and videos selected. I already ran a iPad sync via iTunes hoping to would update and remove them.
The music videos still show up on the iPad. How do I delete them from there?

Try this:
On your iPad go to Settings>General>Usage>Videos
If the video you want to remove is listed, swipe to the left on the video name to reveal the red Delete button. Press Delete.

Can you play a music video and still view itunes store?

I'd like to listen to a song I bought as a music video, but still view the itunes store. When i play the song it takes up the entire itunes window, is there any way to avoid this? I thought there was a way for it just to play in the bottom left corner.

Set the playback preference for music videos, etc. to play in a separate windows (iTunes preferences -> Playback pane). Then, as long as you don't need to preview an item in the iTunes Store, you will be able to play the video while browsing/searching the Store. At least in iTunes 8 (don't remember about iTunes 7), the window you can show at the lower-left in iTunes just shows the album cover or "poster" frame of whatever's playing; it's not a playback window.

Problem Playing music videos

I just bought the Apple TV and downloaed 76 music videos along with a playlist for the videos. I go through the menu to play the music video Playlist. I have 2 problems here.
1 - Within the playlist, the shuffle feature won't work. I get a message that says the song can't be played.
2 - When I select and play the first song on the playlist it plays fine but when it is over I have to manually play the next song...which *****. hat am I doing wrong - or what do I need to do to have the ATV play the entire playlist of music videos without my intervention?

I agree this is crazy, and surely an easy fix for Apple. It's also a problem in Frontrow which I'd hoped would be fixed for Leopard. Perhaps it will be, but given that Frontrow 2.0 is meant to be identical to the Apple TV interface I'm not too hopeful.
Here's something interesting though... try a google search on "front row playlist popcorn". What you get as the top hit is a link to Apple's page on the iMac, which includes the line "hit play and pass the popcorn". Fine. BUT... look at the google preview of the page before you click on that link. It says something different: "Put together a humorous video playlist and pass the popcorn."
Looks like the page once contained false advertising and was then edited by Apple. Even they're copy writers couldn't believe they had to check whether it played video playlists!
