How can I edit my own post?

Can I edit my own posts? I thought I used to be able to but just sent one and upon sending, realized there was an error. So I tried to edit it but there was not an icon or link to get to my post and make an edit. Am I missing how we do this? I did search this before sending but nothing came up, which seems odd.

Hello:
FWIW, Editing posts does work using Safari on an iMac, but, as I recall, it does not on an iPad. I rarely edit from my iPad, so I cannot remember for sure.
By the way, I would like to have one of those sarcasm switches. Sometimes people do not recognize sarcasm!

How do I find my own posts

Can someone please tell me on this ridiculous new forum layout how I find my own posts ? And yes, I have tried searching my name but it doesn't bring up the post I am looking for from a few days ago.

What I have done is add a Watch A User widget - watching me - to my personalized home page here. (See screenshot below.) That lists all topics that I have ever replied to in date order, and of course only lists a certain number. I've found that 30 is more than enough for me to keep up with... I haven't ever had more than 30 different topics updated with new messages between visits, but I do check in fairly often.
BTW, for the future, questions about these forums are better asked in the Using Apple Support Communities forum. That's what it's there for.

How To Find Your Own Posts Easily

It’s not very convenient to search for your posts, every time you log into the Forum. So here is how you can effortlessly find your own posts.
1. Click on your screen name on the right hand side, below My Community.
2. This will open your profile page. At the left side, just below your name, the Recent Posts by… list will show latest posts you have created.
3. If you don’t see the post you are looking for, click on the View All link just below the list.
This will list all the posts you have done in the Forum, till date. If there are more than 20 posts, they will be listed on different pages.
Now that you have found your post, you can show your appreciation to people who helped you, by giving Kudos. To learn how to give Kudos - check this link:

The "Find my..." function is pretty much useless if the device is in the hands of a thief. All that is necessary is for the thief to connect to any computer with iTunes and "Restore as new."
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself. This requires action before the device is lost/stolen. If the device has significant personal information, it should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries.

My own posts are "new"?

Each time I make a post to a topic, in "My Posts" the topic then appears to have new messages (the dot is half full with blue). I keep going back to see what the "new" message is, but so far it's always been my own post. If I make a post, leave the Discussions and come back later, it's not clear to me if the "new" post is mine or someone else's. The author of the "new" post is not noted in the "My Posts" list.
Is there a way to make your own posts not change the topic to display as if there is "Updated content since your last visit"?

I certainly can't claim to be an expert at the software used to run the Discussions now, but that certainly could be a possibility. I haven't always been taken to the blank screen, but it very well could be that since you don't get to see the post after making it, technically it hasn't been viewed...

Bank statement search string for posting rule 2

Hello,
I created a search string (also activated) for clearing sub legder account. Folowing are the combinations i tried:
1) ###(.| )#######
2) (^| )###(.| )#######( |$)
3) ###.#######
Open document reference text on header normally carries 3digits followed by a dot and then seven digits. For example:
123.1234567. I also want to include 123 1234567 (sometimes it appears like this in bank statement) but the system should intrepret it as 123.1234567.
I think above string acheived this when i did a TEST (button) next mapping screen on the same screen.
I uploaded the bank statement and then went to another config where you do simulation for a bank statement (uploaded). There the system checks for first three digits only and the document found coloumn is blank (because it checks only first three digits and there are too many probable customers in partner's field).

search string - algorithm is no 21
mapping field in search string - i tried with bland and without blank (###.#######) it is all same.
How to make the system check 3+7 digits with dot? and why it checking only first three digits. Can some help?

Missing Search Directories during Post substep execution

I've run into a small difficulty in my elegant solution to the problem I posed in my "Calling IVI/Visa drivers from TestStand" question.
In brief, I have some custom step types where I've defined a Post substep, which uses the DLL Flexible Prototype Adapter to call a bit of code I wrote. The problem is, it's unable to find my DLL while executing the Post substep. The DLL is in the same directory as the sequence file, and I have the "Current sequence file directory" option enabled in Search Directories. The same DLL can be found no problem when it's called as the main module for a step.
It seems as if the current sequence file directory is not being searched when the Engine is executing substeps. I'm having som
e difficulty finding an elegant solution to this. I hate to just add another directory to the Search Directories, because those are universal, and this problem is specific to this one sequence. I hate to use a sledgehammer to kill a fly.
Am I missing something obvious? Is there a flyswatter I'm not seeing?

A substep is a subcomponent of a step type. Step types definitions can reside in a type palette file or any sequence file. When a sequence file uses an instance of a step type, i.e. a step, the step type definition is attached to the sequence file.
We specifically decided not to use the current sequence file search path for substeps in step types for the following reason:
A step type only loads the substep code module
once, even if more than one sequence file uses
it. So if one sequence file has the code module
for the substep in its directory and another
sequence file has another copy of the code module
that might be a little different, the second code
module would not be used.
Step types ar
e intended to be used as a major component of the TestStand engine. That is why the default TestStand step types are stored in the Components directory and the search directory feature specifies to recursively search the Components directory.

Search for own settypes / attributes of iObject

Hello,
i created some Z-Settypes with own Z-Attributes for individual objects in CRM.
I also created the assignmentblocks for this Z-Settypes. Now i´m able to maintain the Z-Attributes in Webclient UI.
My next step would be to search for individual objects (view PRDIOQR/SEARCH) using my Z-Attributes.
Does anybody know what i need to do?
The view is already enhanced.
I found in GENIL_BOL_BROWSER own notes with my settypes.
No i need to know how to bring this on the search view to search with my Z-Attributes for i objects?

it almost right after that!!! Because it's not before that that your brain actually kicks in. Probably coupled with the fact that you're doing something else and your brain is free to work on the problem, instead of being occupied by "concentrating".

Formatted Search on Inventory Posting

Dear Experts,
I have a FMS on inventory posting distribution rule, its supposed to display the distribution rule automatically for the items, without human intervention. How can I set this to auto-refresh ? since when using this form virtually no column is normally touched apart from the reconcile button.

we have upgraded SAP B1 2005 to 2007 - we are using old query for formatted search for items in marketing document - can in that cancelled items also reflecting - can you please correct that query where i dont want to reflect cancelled items.

OIM 11g: Access Denied searching usr_emp_no in post process event handler

I am logging in as xelsysadm and creating a new user. I have populated a UDF called Manager Employee Number with a value of 12345 and I have a corresponding user with the Employee Number populated with that same value.
When I create the user, my code searches for a corresponding user in OIM with that employee number. The problem is that i am getting an access denied error searching use_emp_no. Ironically, in a different post process event handler, I have access to decrypting the user's password.
I tried searching by Employee Number rather than use_emp_no (which is what is returned with AttributeName.EMPLOYEE_NUMBER.getId()) but that did not find any users. It did seem to attempt the search though.

This is what fixed the problem:
Instead of the following:
//get the manager object and retrieve the user login and user key of the manager
mgrRetAttrs.add("USER_LOGIN");
mgrRetAttrs.add("USER_KEY");
I needed to do this instead:
mgrRetAttrs.add(UserManagerConstants.AttributeName.USER_LOGIN.getId());
mgrRetAttrs.add(UserManagerConstants.AttributeName.USER_KEY.getId());
Then I changed the searchCriteria back to the following:
SearchCriteria srchCriteria =
new SearchCriteria("Employee Number", "12345", SearchCriteria.Operator.EQUAL);
This did the trick.

Shared photo stream from others not showing my own posted photos in iPhoto

Hi community,
I'm facing a problem I'm not sure if it might have been answered somewhere before but if so I cannot find it..
My wife opened a shared photo stream with her iPhone and invited me to it. Since then, we both post new pictures to it and it syncs perfectly (at least it seems like) on our iOS devices, her iPhone, my iPhone and iPad. We're running iOS 7 on all devices.
The problem is that I cannot see any of my pictures in that stream on my MacBook in iPhoto 9.4.3. In streams I created it works fine and it's a comfortable way to get photos from iPhone to Mac without having to connect with a cable. But the mentioned stream my wife created contains only her pictures in iPhoto. I'm running Mountain Lion. (Since Mavericks doesn't seem to bring any new features I need and usually new OS X versions seem to slow down the computer I don't want to update.)
Does anybody know how to fix?

I'm totally clear on what your issues is - but I believe that the feature that Mavericks has that yu are missing is full support for shared photo streams
What software versions do I need to be able view and share videos, and contribute to other people's shared streams?
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 7.0 or later
Mac with OS X Mavericks v10.9 or later and either iPhoto 9.5 or Aperture 3.5
Apple TV (second generation) with Apple TV software 6.0 or later
PC with Windows 7 or later and iCloud Control Panel 3.0 or later
If the owner of the shared stream has turned on the Public Website option and shares the link with you, you can use any up-to-date browser to see photos and videos added by the owner and all contributors.
And I found that Macvericks is much faster - the 64 bit software seems to be a big improvement
