Search not updating property after incremental crawl

We have some SharePoint Document libraries with a number of properties that are used in Search. These are set up as Managed Properties
We then use these property value to display a table of search results in a custom web part (using full text search query code).
Anyway, when the properties are changed, the incremental crawls usually pick this up and display the new value in the search results.  we have a few documents that were added and then later had their properties updated, but the old values are still
being returned in the results - the incremental crawls have not picked up the changes even though this has run through many times since the change was made.
The SharePoint site was originally set up in WSS 3.0 and we mounted and upgraded the content database into SharePoint 2010 Foundation, but these documents were added AFTER the update.
This has only happened on a few documents, with the majority working fine.  We can't replicate the problem 'to order', nor does there seem to be any pattern in the reason why these do not get picked up, nor any clues in the crawl log.
Has anyone else come across this problem or have any idea why this occurs?
There is a full crawl scheduled for the weekend, so i hope this resolves the issue but it is not one we have come across over many years of using the same code and properties.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
Helen

Try to reset the index and do a full crawl.

  • Manger field values is overwriting after incremental crawl in SP2013?

Step 1: we ran full crawl successfully. Step 2: we updated manually manager values for 10 users. Step 3: removed mapping for manager in Manage User Properties. Step 4: Again we ran the incremental crawl.
After incremental crawl completed, manager field value is showing empty for 10 users in the SharePoint User Profile.
we removed mapping for Manager even though why it was showing empty value once incremental crawl is completed.
Can any one give response on this ASAP.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
I have done a test in my SharePoint 2013, I can't reproduce your issue.
When I updated manually manager values for users, it was showing the updated value once incremental crawl is completed.
    Let’s verify the following:
Whether you start full crawl or Start full Profile Synchronization.
Whether you start incremental  crawl or Start incremental Profile Synchronization.
When you updated manually manager values for 10 users, whether you change the manager user rather than emptied it.
Make sure that you actually removed the mapping. I suspect that the mapping is still there.

  • Can not update apps after IOS8 update on iPhone 4s

Can not update apps after IOS8 update on iPhone 4s
I can no longer update apps on my iPhone 4s after the IOS 8 update. The IOS 8 update took a very long time to complete, maybe 12 hours, and afterwards, it worked but updating packages were very slow. Package updates have since been problematic and about 4 days ago, it stopped being able to update any packages. I click on them to update and they never make any progress. I have 2.8 Gbytes free and I keep deleting more and more packages, pictures, etc. It seems like, from the amount of stuff that I have deleted, I should have more than 2.8 Gbytes free.
Is anyone else having this kind of problem?

16GB iPhone4: Go to Settings, scroll down to iTunes & App Stores and touch. At the top of the next page it shows: Apple ID. Touch this. Select Sign Out. Your Apple ID will go away. Re-enter Apple ID and password. Try App Store again.
Other solutions were to go to Settings:General:Date&Time and turn off auto-update, then change date to next year. This didn't work for me, nor a lot of other users on the forums. It took reading a lot of threads to find the log-out, log-in solution. Even on the official Apple Website all I saw was: Make sure your connection is working, battery is charged, desktop is plugged in when you try to sync. OK I exaggerate, but with all the users posting this problem, you'd think they'd post their solutions when they work with a Tech Help call.

  • Smart playlists not updating live after 3.0 upgrade

I have a smart playlist: 'songs I've not played in a while'. Before the upgrade, if i had 100 songs in the playlist and played one, the playlist would update and the next time I'd access it I'd have 99 songs in it. however, after upgrading the playlist is not updating itself. It will stay at 100 songs and the only way to make it update itself is to sync with itunes. The placounts etc are all being remembered, but my playlist is no longer updating by itself.
Help! What can I do to fix this?

First, downgrading the firmware is not something that Apple will support, so if something does go wrong (not likely, but remotely possible) you could end up with a device that does not work.
Second, in order to downgrade to an earlier version of firmware, you have to already have it on your computer. If you never did a firmware update prior to installing 3.0, then you don't have a 2.x firmware on your computer to install. While you might be able to find a copy of 2.x, there have been reports of problems with the copies people are finding. But if you ever did a firmware update, say from 2.2 to 2.2.1 then you would have 2.2.1 on your computer already. If that's the case, then follow these instructions:
1- Connect your Touch to your computer and put it into "DFU mode" (Google that for instructions). Getting into DFU mode is a little tricky to get the timing just right, so pay attention to the instructions and what to look and listen for.
2- iTunes will tell you that the Touch needs to be restored to factory conditions (this is expected). Instead of clicking the Restore button, hold down the SHIFT key as you click Restore (on a Mac I think it's Option-Restore). You'll see a navigation window for you to locate the firmware. Navigate your way to where the firmware is stored on your computer, which on a PC is:
    C:\Documents and Settings\(account name)\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates
(on a Mac these files are located at: ~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates)
Select the proper .ipsw file for your device. For 2.2.1 the file is "iPod2,12.2.1_5H11aRestore.ipsw"
3- Your Touch will go through the Restore process. When you get to the point where you choose to re-load your last backup or set up the Touch as a new iPod, choose the new iPod selection since the backup contains 3.0-specific information that may not work with earlier firmware.
4- You'll then have to re-load your Touch's contents, including music, video, web links, settings preferences, etc.

  • Adobe Lightroom 3 not updating thumbnails after Photoshop Save

Anyone know why Lightroom 3 will not update my thumbnails after I save changes in Photoshop CS5?
I tried to do a "save" (in lightroom) to update the metadata of the file, and the changes still never occurred.
I know that the changes held though because when I RE-open the file in photoshop the changes are there..
And once again, I save through photoshop, and it does not render the changes in Lightroom.
    FRUSTRATING! HELP!
    Thanks
    April

seriously, I move through 20-30 images per day in post-production. I shoot around 6-800 in the studio. I rely on flags to get me through the photos quickly (hence why it exists)
You're telling me that I have to save each of these files first before opening - um, didn't have to do this in Lightroom 2.
Is Adobe EVER going to put out an update on this?
Beta exists for a reason - so that bugs like this don't appear once the disks hit the sales floor. How could they have missed that??
Anyway - this isn't really helpful to me.  The save are slow too.
    Thanks for your help tho.

  • Table record is not updated correctly after navigate back from detail page

I have 2 jspx pages one (page A) has a table displaying the employee record, another one (page B) is used to update the selected employee record. On page A, when selecting a record and clicking the 'Details' button I can be navigaed to pag B on which I can modify the record information in a form component. I have one table column 'teamName' which is binding to a LOV at VO layer and on pageB I am using <af:inputComboboxListOfValues> to show a editable LOV list for this attribute, when I input a new value here and save it, I can go back to page A but the team name for this record shows empty, by querying the database I do find the record updated successfully with the changed value. And when I reloaded the page the record can show the new team name value. Why it is not updated in the employee table when immediately navigating back from page B? I have set the table iterator refresh attribut to "always" but still failed. Can anyone help on this issue? Thanks!!
BTW, for other columns (not LOV) they are ok, the table can show the changed value correctly.

    Thanks for reply!
I did exactly the same as what you said. I d&d the data control Commit operation on page B to generate a 'Save' commandToolbarButton with the action attribute set to 'save' which is the from outcome for navigating back to page A. Is there any business logic I need to write here? Currently I have no.
Note: In this case I used an editable LOV, I have a requirment that besides selecting a existing value from the lov, user can also input a new value in the LOV. When going back to page A, I do find the LOV list is updated to contain the new vaule. Just the record in the table shows an empty value instead of the new value. Still do not know why.

  • Walkman app search not working properly after lollipop update?

Does anyone else have problems with the walkman app search function? Just yesterday it worked fine before I updated to lollipop, when I searched for a song it actually found it. Now it's all broken and can usually find results only when I type in two or three letters. If I type less or more it finds nothing at all even though I know I have those songs on my SD card.
I can find the songs just fine if I scroll through all the albums manually, but that's slow and pain to do...
I updated the walkman app too after I noticed this problem but nothing changed. I also tried cleaning app data/cache but it doesn't help at all.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Sony really needed to test Lollipop better. On my Xperia Z3 Compact, after Lollipop installed, Walkman app could no longer find any of my SD Card music using the Search function. It could however still play the SD Card music via the playlist. My best guess is that the index was corrupted during the upgrade, or Lollipop indexes SD Cards differently.
The solution to move SD Card music to Internal storage was a non-starter for me, as the Internal storage is 16GB and I have over 32GB of music on my SD Card.
However, I can report that I solved the problem by:
Connecting my phone to my PC by USB.
Moving all the music off the SD Card and onto my PC.
Moving it all back onto the SD Card.
Time taken : over 2 hours! Thanks a bunch Sony. Lollipop looks nicer than KitKat but wasted my time, apart from seeming to make apps slower and eat battery faster My advice to people thinking of switching from KitKat - don't bother!

  • Ipad music search not working properly after updating to iOS 6.1

I just updated my 3rd generation ipad to iOS 6.1 and search in music app doesn't work now.i search for some song and only a few songs show up, whereas I can find the songs, manually. Even the spotlight search doesn't show all the songs.
I have tried restoring to factory settings and then re-syncing with iTunes... But no help..
I think there are only a few songs that show up in the search everytime..
    HELP!!!

This is happening to my iPad Mini too, unfortunately. The best thing to do is to wait for the next update, which might come soon. But, you might want to go to your local Apple store and ask if they can do anything about it. Hope this helps

  • Java SE 6 runtime not updating properly after Mavericks update

Since updating my 27-inch Late 2009 iMac to Mavericks I have an update that will not process. I keep getting a Software Update notification that says, "To open "java" you need a Java SE 6 runtime. Would you like to install one now?" When I click "install", it begins the process and indicates that it gets about 40% into it and then responds that the network cannot be contacted at this time and that I should try again later. This has been going on for days now and pops up multiple times a day.

Same problem for me. I called Apple and they told me this is an old version of Java and that I should go to the Java web site and download the most current which I belive they told me was version 7. I did that, it seems to install properly but it did noting for stoppig this annoying popup window from appearing on a regualr baiss throughout the day. Additionally, I'm haing some programs telling me they can not run wothout the proper Java update which I can't seem to figure out which one is the proper update. I may add to this on Monday after I call Apple again and see if I can't get someone who kows what is going on. I had no warnings of this nature before Mavricks.

  • Invoice not updated even after rebate recalculation

    Hi,
I am facing issue with 14 invoices which are not being updated with Rebate even after rebate recalculation.
Below screenshot of one of those invoice, where it says that agreement exists.
the entry is present in VBOX as well.
Agreement validity period dates are also ok.
And after SDBONT06, the agreement still shows the message that "sales volume is not current"
Kindly check that what could be the issue here which is stopping the invoice and agreement to be updated.
    Regards,
    Aayush Jain
    SAP SD Consultant

    Hi Aayush
The message 'condition record exists but has not been set' just means that currently in the document the condition is not present but if you created the same document item now pricing would find a valid condition. SDBONT06 normally would do a new pricing of the rebate conditions with pricing type I and in these circumstances you should expect that it would find this condition if it falls within the validity of the agreement.
So you issue here is why SDBONT06 does not find the condition.
The field 'business group' in your access sequence.
Is it a standard field fomr KOMG that is filled in standard or is it handled in a user exit ?
It would seem likely that this field is filled in the billing transactions VF01/VF02 etc but it is not
    filled in VBOF ?
Check how it is filled.Have a look at note 391314 this descibes what you have to consider  regarding the internal tables for Z fields when using custom fields in your access sequences.
I hope it helps you further
    Kind regards

  • Spotlight Search not surfacing Applications after upgrade

After today's (12/12/14) upgrade of my iPhone 5s to 8.1.2, spotlight search no longer surfaces applications.  I was able to fix this issue by sending an email from my icloud account to my icloud email address.  My question is if there's another fix to this issue?  Seems as if it's a bug in the software.

I'm having a similar problem, applications are no longer found by spotlight since updating to 10.6.3. I'm going to let Spotlight reindex my whole harddrive and see if that helps. It looks like it will take a bit, but if you want to try it too then just follow apples instructions here:

I'll post once its done and say whether it helped.

  • Modbus I/O Server Shared Variable Not Updating Immediately After Flush

    Hi everyone,
Weird issue here... If I create a Modbus I/O server in a LabVIEW project, bind a shared variable to a holding register, write to the shared variable, flush, and read back, the value returned in an immediate readback is NOT the value I previously wrote. I've attached an example snippet.
In this example, PLC Command Complete is TRUE coming in. I write a FALSE to it. I flush the shared variable buffer. I read back PLC Command Complete. When I do this, PLC Command Complete will return TRUE (???), and after 100ms or so, return FALSE. How is this possible??
    Some notes:
The shared variable is NOT network buffered.
The slave is NOT altering the value of this variable; only this snippet of code is.
Altering the refresh rate of the Modbus server does not affect the outcome.
If anyone has any idea as to what's going on, I would greatly appreciate it!

    Couple of points.
First, your screenshot shows network shared variables, not single process!
Next, network shared variables take time to update (much longer than NI tell you!) If you knock up a little timing noddy to set a variable and then loop reading that variable until the transition comes through you get results like this (runnng from the programming environment, I've not tried with a compiled exe):
Network shared variable, no flush - approx 20ms (NI say is should be 10)
Network shared variable, flush buffer - very fast (faster than the ms clock resolution) but still took between 14 and 20 iterations of my loop before the change percolated through (certainly not what you would expect)
Single Process variable - instant (even without the flush)
This has caused me so many problems in the past (my own race conditions are bad enough without NI throwing in extra ones with this unexpected behaviour) that I try to avoid network shared variables now.
Change yours to single process and you should be fine (or do they need to be NS?)

  • Smart playlists not updating live after 3.1.1 upgrade

Same discussion started back in February about the 3.0 update (http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=9937797)
I thought for sure live updating would work properly with such an update from 3.0 -> 3.1.1, but no luck! I guess it takes more than 7 months to fix this.
As a refresher -- if you have a smart playlist that includes a "not played in the last xx days" condition, the old OS (2.2.1) would automatically remove a played song from the smart playlist on the iPod so your playlist is always valid. However, in 3.0 and 3.1.1, the iPod does not automatically recalculate the smart playlist and you have to sync with iTunes to get the song to be removed.

I have discovered a workaround for this issue. As with most workarounds, it's not too pretty, but it gets you there.
Knowing that live updating smart playlists that refer to other playlists won't properly update on the iPod, and taking advantage of the fact that iTunes 9 now allows for nested logic in smart playlists, we can make a complex nested logic smart playlist that live updates on the iPod as long as it doesn't refer to another playlist. In place of referring to another playlist, refer to some metadata instead. The cleanest metadata tag in my opinion is "Category." It is metadata that does not by default display in playlist view (you can enable it under the View menu), and is not visible when selecting Get Info on a track. You can use the excellent "Enter Category Text for Selected v1.1" script to enter Category tags, available at http://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/ss.php?sp=entercategorytext . Just enter the name of the playlist the track is contained in for the Category tag.
I'll give an example of how this works. Let's say you have a long playlist named "day" containing certain tracks you like to listen to when the sun is out. You want to create an intelligent and self-updating megamix playlist of tracks only from the "day" playlist that will play songs you haven't heard, as well as songs you've heard and have rated. As an added smartness, you want to hear the tracks you've rated higher more often than the tracks with a lower rating. You want this new "day mix" playlist to live update properly on your iPod touch.
First you'll need to tag all your "day" playlist songs. Download and install the "Enter Category Text for Selected v1.1" script mentioned above. Select all the songs in the "day" playlist, run the script, and enter "day" for the Category.
Now you can make the smart playlist. In iTunes 9, create a new Smart Playlist. Using the new nested logic in iTunes 9 smart playlists, select the following conditions:
) Match any of the following rules:
) all of the following rules:
    ) Category contains day
    ) Playcount is 0
) all of the following rules:
    ) Category contains day
    ) Rating is *
) Last Played is not in the last 6 months
) all of the following rules:
    ) Category contains day
    ) Rating is **
) Last Played is not in the last 5 months
) all of the following rules:
    ) Category contains day
    ) Rating is *
) Last Played is not in the last 4 months
) all of the following rules:
    ) Category contains day
    ) Rating is **
) Last Played is not in the last 3 months
) all of the following rules:
    ) Category contains day
    ) Rating is ***
) Last Played is not in the last 2 months
    ) Live updating
You should find that the new "day mix" smart playlist properly live updates on your iPod touch.
As with any workaround, there are troubling aspects. One is that you'll need to constantly update your metadata tag of choice (Category, in my example) each time you add new tracks to a source regular playlist on your iPod. I'm also unsure about overloading the metadata with a number of tags in the case where tracks co-exist on multiple playlists. Also be aware that smart playlists like this tend to hang the iPod for several minutes with the "Updating Library" screen, so be prepared to be patient.
I hope this is of use to someone. Please post any streamlining suggestions for this workaround.
