Search not working in music library with newest update

since the iTunes update, I cannot type anything in the search box when looking in my music library. Anyone have this issue? any cures??

This typically happens when one of the DLLs that the help
compiler uses is missing or incorrectly registered. Here are some

Diagnostics, and choose the option to "Refresh Registration of all

The Create List Item workflow action does not work in document library with document template

My end goal is more complex but below is a basic example of the issue I’m having that just simply does not work.
I'm trying to use a site workflow to create an item in a document library that has a document template applied to it but the file that gets created by the workflow is corrupt and cannot be opened.
I created a document library and edited the document template by adding some text to the header and changing it to a Word docx file instead of a Word dotx file. I tested the document template by clicking the files tab in the ribbon and then clicking new
document which opens the document template in Word and allows me to edit and save the document back to SharePoint. Then I created a SharePoint 2013 site workflow in SharePoint Designer that contains a single Create List Item action, and that action creates
an item in the document library with the name field statically defined. I published the workflow and then manually start it on the site. The workflow completes successfully and when I navigate to the document library the document has been created by the workflow.
When I click on the document to open it in the Word Web App it throws the error pictured below and if I open it in the Word client application it just opens a blank document and not the correct document template.
I also tried using a SharePoint 2010 workflow with pretty much the same results. Opening the document in Word Web App gives the same error as above and opening the document in the Word client application gives the error pictured below.
Come on Microsoft creating a Word Document in a SharePoint Document Library from a SharePoint Workflow should just work! Is this a bug or does anyone have any ideas on what is causing the this issue?

I had the same problem with corrupted document - this worked for me:
1. Create a 2010 Workflow which creates the list element in a document library
(you may start this workflow from your 2013 workflow if applicable)
2. In the Create New List Item properties - make sure to set ContentTypeId to your content type
("Id for indholdstype" is Danish for "Contenttype ID")
3. Your Content Type template should be a ".docx" file - NOT a ".dotx" file...!
(I have always created my templates for content types as .dotx files - seems Microsoft wants us to use ordinary .docx files as template files for content types)

Safari not working on iPad 2 with latest updates

The safari is not working on my ipad 2. It has all the latest updates. When I try to go to an internet site it gives me an error message, "Safari cannot open the page because it could not connect to the server." My other mobile devices are working. I have closed all of the inactive apps, reset the wifi and all of the other things that have been previously suggested, but still not working.

If you are having WiFi problems it is necessary to isolate whether the problem is with your network or your iPad. Note: Do NOT consider your network to be blameless if some other devices can connect to it.
First, test your iPad on some other WiFi networks: a friends, Starbucks, Barnes & Noble, etc.
If it works well there then the problem is probably with your network. Try restarting your WiFi router by removing power for 30 seconds. Do not reset your router. If that does not help check for a firmware update for your router. If none exists which corrects the problem consider replacing the router.
If your iPad does not function well on other networks it possibly has a hardware problem. You could try Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings to see if that corrects the problem. If not, contact Apple Support or visit an Apple store for evaluation. They can provide a replacement if your iPad is bad.
If you need more help please give the make, model, and version of your WiFi router and how you have it configured.

HT1386 Why can I not sync my music library with my iPhone4s?

It has synced all my contracts/apps/ect but not my music. I have made sure that the music section is "checked" before applying and syncing but thus it still does not download them. I have even tried unistalling and reinstalling itunes. PLEASE HELP!

Have you actually chosen some songs? Checking the box at the top doesn't automatically cause your tracks to sync, you have to choose some first.

A2DP not working properly in Leopard (with latest updates)

So, I have a brand new Mac (unibody Macbook) with the latest Leopard updates and a brand new pair of headphones just released by Sony, DR-BT101. I pair the headphones with my Mac without any difficulties, it shows up as a headset and also as headphones (A2DP). It works fine to use them with the headset profile, just that the sound is bad because it's not the A2DP profile, and when I try to switch over to A2DP the sound stops, sometimes with a message "Bluetooth audio failed". The headphones (as A2DP) works fine with all other bluetooth equipment I have (mobile phones etc).
Even more strange, it's possible to get the A2DP working with a trick a posted in this thread,

In short: System preferences/Bluetooth, choose "Update device services" and then quickly click the "Use headphones" => et voila, it works! But whenever you try to click "use the headphones" without doing this trick it doesn't work.. total silence.
So what's going on here Apple!? I thought that Leopard was supposed to support A2DP, anyone else has experienced this or have a more permanent solution?

A new discovery in this matter.. It seems it might not be a Leopard problem this thing, but a problem with the hardware/drivers for the bluetooth chipset in the unibody Macs. I just tried connecting the headphones to a Mac Mini 1.83 GHz, the old version with GMA950 graphics and there it works fine, so it seems to only be a problem with the Nvidia chipset-macs.

ITunes Radio not working on iPhone 5 with new update

When I select go to radio in music tab it just shows my artists in music. Will not ope iTunes Radio stations. On my sons iPhone it has radio tab next to playlists.

I am having the same problem. I have a 5S 64 gb bought last friday, updated to latest version of iOS 7. I get an error message about needing to connect to wifi or cellular data. The phone is connecting fine in mail and safari on cellular and wifi at work and home. Wifes phone works fine, iPad2 work fine. Settings the same. Any ideas?

Track Pad not working on some screen with new update

I just updated the software today on my 9900 and now on some screen the track pad won't let me scroll up and down. The screens it is causing issues on are:
- home screen will only let me scroll to the title (All, Favorites, etc). It is like I cant go from the title to the app icons
- in bbm wont let me scroll from my top contact to where my chats are
- it also wont let me do any punctuation....when i push the alt key it shows up that it has been selected but when i try to make an exclammation mark nothing happens
- when typing it lags really bad and doesn't catch all the letters im inputting
The right and left scrolling work fine but is like there is some imaginary fence in certain spots. Anyone else having issues with this or know of a fix?

I'm going to bet a battery pull would correct most of the issues you're facing. Remove your battery while your phone is powered on then replace it.
If that doesn't do the trick, we have other options we can examine but start with that and let us know if that helps.

IPhone 5 Music search not working on some tracks.

I bought the iphone5, backed up all my apps and data on iTunes to from my iPhone 4, then transferred everything over. The problem is that the search feature is not working in Music. For example, I try to seach for a song that I know is there, but no results appear. Other songs are searchable, but I've randomly seached for songs that exist and am finding a lot of misses. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

You cannot alert Yahoo yourself to change the weather areas via the Weather App, If you want percific areas, download a 3rd party weather app.
If it is causing a real problem (and you would like to do something about it), contact Apple direct.

Has anyone had a problem with their "spotlight search" not working? If I restart the phone it will work for a few days then not work again.

It's more likely the OP's router. I have a wifi only iPad 2, yet location services work just fine on my iPad. If I open maps, my location is found quite nicely. I have seen that some routers do not provide location services and I suspect the OP has such a router.

Can't sync music library with iPod Touch

I gave my iPod to my son. He erased my music library and put his on. He gave iPod back. I erased all his music and tried to reload my music library. I updated iTunes from Apple website. Could not successfully transfer ANY music.
I searched through discussions and found some suggestions. I restored iPod to original settings, removed everything.
Apps I originally had on the iPod and some new ones synced beautifully. Music library would not. Unclicked manually managed iTunes. Unclicked Sync all iTunes in library. Clicked APPLY where applicable. Uninstalled iTunes on PC and reinstalled. iTunes will not sync.
I cannot put a checkmark on all songs in the library. The checkmarks will only go so far down and then quit. There are too many to do that manually.
it has 59.42 GB capacity, 4.3.1 software version.
So what do I do to syn my music library? And what are the exclamation marks appearing to the left of the column for check marks? Sometimes they appear and sometimes not.
I would appreciate any help you can give me. I am at my wit's end. Thank you.

For anyone who might read my post and have the same problem, the above link, second option to try work like a charm. I have my music back. I had to go looking for it and clicking on one of the pieces to play it in iTunes worked. Not all the music was located right away but it was still findable.

I have a playlist of tracks that are not in my music library

It is my understanding that all of your music resides within your Music Library and from there you can create playlists, whether Smart Playlists or just Playlists, but your playlists do not contain anything that isn't in your main Music Library.
I have a standard playlist that contains over 400 tracks where many are not in my Music Library from various different artists, albums and genres.
Is there a way to get the music within the playlist back into my Music Library without going in artist by artist Adding tracks?

All Tag edits were and are done within iTunes.
This specific Playlist was created over a year ago with an earlier version of iTunes. I just went through the process of changing information on a few of those tracks within the Playlist I have problems with and the current version of iTunes is not copying the music files, but moving them.
I think that this must have been a bug in whatever version of iTunes I was using last year when I first started working on my Tags.
I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but just last month I had iTunes Convert the ID3 Tags on everything within my Music Library

Remove Memory Card > Insert > then Refresh
Backup Music From Memory Card to PC > Format Mem Card to FAT32 & tranfer all data back > Refresh Music List.

Search not working on Task Description

Hi,
I am facing a strange scenario with search not working on Task Description for a particular task item. This task item has around 18 versions of itself within it.
I tried replicating the same scenario in our Test environment with following changes in the task item description:
1. Copied the task list over to Test environment.
2. Deleted all the versions of this task and put a single line description as.
3. Initiated full crawl and search results with task description were
coming up fine.
4. Made few more versions : 5 Versions and again initiated full craw. Search results are fine.
5. Made few more versions this time and again a FULL crawl, but now NO results with this task description.
So, my question here is that is there any limit by MS for multiline text limit or version limit which prevents the task description from coming up in search results.
This task description as multiple line text with links to other lists/libraries and user names who created the versions in this task item. We are not using FAST search.

I found the answer elsewhere on the forum:
Somehow the main drive was added to the privacy list in Spotlight. Search is working fine now that I've removed it.

Mail search not working + Spotlight keeps indexing

I have an old problem that has resurfaced after creating a new user on my Mac. Mail search brings no results and Spotlight is constantly indexing - day in, day out. It never seems to get there. I tried turning my hard drive to private in Spotlight settings and then taking it out. Previously Spotlight seemed to get bogged down with external drives now it's stuck indexing my Mac.
Any advice? Is there a way I get unstick this?

I can't believe that Apple have STILL not sorted this out. I haven't created a new user (so it's nothing to do with that), but Mail.app won't find anything when searching "Entire Message" in the current Mailbox or in "All Mailboxes". This has been ongoing since Leopard was first released, and we are now up to 10.5.8 without this being fixed.

How stupid is this design?! Unless you happen to be positioned the top of the displayed list (song, artist, album, etc.) there's no way you'd find the search (aka, spotlight) option.
Why not put the option in a non-scrollable area of the screen, so it's always visible?
As iOS 'evolves', it's interface seems to be becoming less intuitive. Sad.
