Search on iTunes appearing blank
Since upgrading to ios7 on my iPhone 4s I am unable to search for music in the iTunes Store. My screen appears blank. Please can you advice how to solve this?
There is no Power Search any more, if that's what you're referring to. The search box at the upper-right is the only search now.

October 8, 2012 was my first (perhaps last) Apple purchase. Being an Android user and fan, I am surprised that I cannot find a fix to the simple question "When I do a search in Itunes, why does the screen go blank and there are no results"? The App store is the same way. I have tired everything from reboot, closing apps and reboot, log out of Apple, changed time, and a few others. If Apple doesn't care enough to fix things, I will return this pile of junk and get a tablet with Google. I have a brand new Ipad new generation or whatever they call it with IO6. It's the "latest and greatest". No cell plan, WiFI only. Hopefully, someone knows what the problem is. If not, Best Buy is getting this back.

Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it! It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

why can't i sign in in the apple store using my apple id? but from the itunes application in my computer which i downloaded, i can use my apple id to sign in...and while opening my apple store in my phone it appears blank..i don't know what happened?
It's a straightforward port-forwarding issue.
You need to forward ports to the internal ip address of your apple tv as follows:
TCP 123
TCP 3689
UDP 5353
TCP 80
TCP 4343
TCP 53

Since it's a URL, you can right click the link and choose "Copy Link Location" to copy it to the Windows clipboard. Then hit CTRL+V to paste it. Saves you having to type it when you go to change the setting.

How can I download a previously downloaded purchase to my iTunes library on my laptop when the listing for the song in my library won't play because it says it cannot locate the file. Yes I have searched my iTunes folders and also done a full windows search. The track plays on my iPad and my iPhones but will not play on my laptop!?

My worry is that if I sync my iPad/iPhone then I will lose the track on those also!If you cannot find the file on your hard drive then once you delete the current broken entry you should be able to redownload from iTunes in the Cloud. This assumes the item in question qualifies. Note that audiobooks, digital booklets, iTunes LPs & Extras, ringtones, selected movies etc. don't.
If prompted don't hide the item. You may find that you need to close and then reopen iTunes before it will appear for download.

Itunes went blank after system restore
i did a system restore this morning and now itunes is blank -- no music, albums, artists, nothing. all of the music i had stored in itunes still appears on my ipod classic. my question is how to get it back into the itunes library. is there a way to copy it from the ipod to itunes? or do i need to reinstall itunes? if i do that, will i lose all the music already on the ipod?

If your iPod is set to sync automatically you need to take care connecting to an empty iTunes. You can use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows with iTunes installed hold down the Shift + Ctrl keys together. This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer: iTunes - Keyboard Shortcuts for Windows
Alternatively open iTunes first and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices and check the box "Disable automatic syncing for iPhones and iPods" and choose Ok. Then connect your iPod.
If at any point you get a message that your iPod is linked to another library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod.

I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive -
I upload a podcast each week using Podcast Maker. When I search the iTunes Store to determine if the most recent one is listed all the podcasts are in random order. This week's is #14; last week's is #1. Any ideas how to correct this? The odd thing is that when you try to subscribe to the podcasts, they are listed in the proper order.

Do you mean the Extensions tab (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or the Get Extensions tab in "Tools > Add-ons"?
It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

I've been having an issue with Aperture 3.1.2 where an individual project or two appear blank. This often happens when I'm organizing photos.
For instance, I just moved about 150 out of 300 photos from the original project to a new project. When I clicked back into the original project, it appeared with no photos. I check the search field, toggled the view modes, tried a test search & cleared.. nothing seems to fix this issue.
The only remedy is to quit and restart Aperture. Any ideas how to correct?I might try going through the Troubleshooting Basics to start:

Try this. Start up Itunes. Click on Home Movies Videos in the movies section. If you have a movie her, right button click and select "Get Info". On the options tab, change the media kind to movie and select OK. Your other movies will slowly start to appear! -
Every time I try to use 'search' in iTunes, it will bring up available related results, but when you click one the results screen is blank. Plus I'm continuing to notice since downloading iOS 6 this phone seems a little glitchey and slow at times
Same here. Searching iTunes Store and touching a result often results in blank screen. Hopeless isn't it. Can't select and download a film because of it. Stuff in the featured/category/chart sections selects ok, it's just searched items for me. Surely others have noticed same with ios6. This only happens on my iPhone 4. On iPad 3 search is fine but I think it's different because iPad 3 tends to bring a kind of pop out window when selecting.

If you want to simply do a 'fresh' install (versus wiping out all of your data and doing a 'clean' install) simply boot to your Recovery partition (hold down the Command and R keys whilst booting) and when the Recovery screen appears, elect to freshly install OS X.
Don't know that will solve your problem, though... did you do the 'automatic' update or download the update as a disk image (.dmg)? I wouldn't think that would be causing your problems...

When clicking on a picture or link that will automatically open up a 2nd window to view, the window will open up but it will just appear blank and says Type a Web address in the top bar.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
