Search on OTN site could be improved

the search function available on OTN (top right hand corner) consistently returns results that are not relevant to my search string. e.g. if I type "j2ee development best practices" it seems to return anything that has such a keyword. Maybe I'm not using it right (not entering text in the right syntax or whatever). But if you check out google they do a much better job.

Ever since I installed FireFox 4, I seem to have lost the function of my bookmarks. They simply open up Bing Searches for those sites. I don't even like Bing, why does it keep getting installed into my Firefox?

I think an add-on has hijacked your browser. If this started with Firefox 4, are you sure you installed the official package from http://www.mozilla.com/ ?
In past threads similar to this, people mentioned a Zugo Search Bar, but I haven't dug into it deeply.

Next, try starting Firefox in Firefox
[http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode Safe Mode]. Be careful not to "reset" anything permanently if you didn't back up.
Does running Firefox without add-ons fix it?
If so, you could disable them all and then gradually restore the ones that are most valuable to you.
If not, there might be some external software intercepting Firefox's communications.

Search Engines searching only US sites, need UK!

My Curve 9360 search engines have suddenly started searching US only sites, Im in the UK so a bit of a problem! Have looked everywhere but am unable to change this. I've tried changing the search engines but still US only searches. Can anyone help?

In the browser Press the Menu Key then choose Options and on Home Page : www.google.co.uk ,
Then press Use Current or just type http://www.google.co.uk/ then save it .

Is it possible to have multiple search results page using one Search Enterprise Center site?

We're using SharePoint 2013 and I'm trying to modify the search results page for one site collection. By default, it uses the search results page from the parent site which is the search center being used by default for the web application. I need to make
sure that the site collection will only retrieve search results within the site collection (search everything has to be disabled). I found a way but I had to create another search center site to accomplish this, otherwise, it will affect the search center
site of all other site collections on the web app.
Now is it possible to have multiple search results page using one Search Enterprise Center site?

According to your description, you want to retrieve the search results within the site collection.
As a workaround, you can create a custom result source for the site collection and you will retrieve the search result within the site collection.

I am using EWS Java APIs and passing OAuth tokens to fetch data from office 365 mailboxes.
Because I am developing Web APIs I preferred using "Application Permissions" defined in Azure active directory application for Office 365, and used "client credential flow" OAuth flow to fetch OAuth token specific to application which will
allow "Have full access via EWS to all mailboxes in the organisation".
After fetching token with the procedure specified in the document "http://blogs.msdn.com/b/exchangedev/archive/2015/01/21/building-demon-or-service-apps-with-office-365-mail-calendar-and-contacts-apis-oauth2-client-credential-flow.aspx"
I passed this token to EWS Java APIs,
it gave me error saying:
microsoft.exchange.webservices.data.ServiceResponseException: Exchange Web Services are not currently available for this request because none of the Client Access Servers in the destination site could process the request.
I tried similar thing with EWS managed APIs for .net. Got similar error.
Can anyone provide some help and direction to resolve this error.

Domain.sites" could not be opened. After power loss

Oh sht have i got a prob.
I'm getting this message after a power loss, iweb will just not open anything............
The document "Domain.sites" could not be opened.

I have main site posted, so need to get that back into iweb of course. But I've also been working on new part to the site. It looks like I've lost everything and of course it's on the one drive I don't back up!!!

Search by current site context

I an working on SharePoint 2013 online search.
I am using "u" parameter in the url to filter results according to current site context, every child site is configured to redirect to search center site with "u" (url of the current site) in the url. thinks are forking fine but on my search
center result page If I do another search, it goes to same result page but "u" parameter is removed now and it search accross all sites, Can I keep that "u" parameter in url?

How did you set the “u” parameter?
What did you mean that you were redirected to search center result page with current site url? Whether the URL of the result page contains the “u” parameter.
I did a test as the followings:
Go to a site->Site Settings->Search settings.
Under “Search Center URL:”, type my search center’s url.
In the “Which search results page should queries be sent to?” section, un-check ”Use the same result page settings as my parent”, and select “send queries to a custom results page url”. The redirct the result page to
http://[my search center]/ /Pages/results.aspx?u=[current site url]
Search several times, all worked well.
If you provide your settings steps, it will make others easy to reproduce this issue and find a solution for you.

Previously my search requests allowed me to choose Canadian sites (responses). Now I do not have that option and instead searches default to sites in the UK. Can I fix this?

I can see why this would frustrate you, jlwutzke! It sounds like you may have Block Caller ID on your account. This is a feature that prevents other people from seeing your number when you call them. This can usually be removed on My Verizon http://spr.ly/65804WyI or by calling. you mentioned you've called before. Do you know if they have already removed this?
