Search Option? and Are iPhoto keywords used?

Once our website is setup, is there a Search option?
I'd like to import photos from iPhoto into a photo album webpage, but I need to have the keywords also. Are the keywords automatically exported also, or is there a way to add them to the photos afterward. Then, of course, I'd like to search for keywords.

Hi terri,
It looks like the images do not pull the keywords with it. You can check by control-clicking the /Users/<your name>/Library/Application Support/iWeb/Domain.sites file. you will then see all of the photos that have been copied to the iweb pages. Open one of the photos in preview, go to Tools->Get Info... You can then see the keywords that are associated with the photo (or lack thereof).

You can use the search on the read only (normal mode) of the PL/SQL Editor. Either through menu or using ctrl F.
The other is still an enhancement and is being tracked.

Search Option and Send a link to a friend.

How do I work around the limitations of Muse? I am working on a website and on the site want to implement to options,
1.) I want to give visitors the ability to search for something by typing in a name. If you are looking for Jane Doe I want to be able to type in her name and her employ profile would pull up. I was informed that this could not be done in muse so what is the workaround?
2.) I also want visitors to be able to come to the site and pull up and event and send the link to a friend by typing in their email. I was told this was not possible in muse so, what would be the workarround

Both options can be done from hosting end, wherever you are hosting your site , create site search , customer profile , use html for those modules and use in Muse. These requires CRM database which Muse does not provides and only can be used with hosting platform.
If you are using Adobe hosting , you can surely use site search module and create customer profile system. In case you are hosting with BC, please get in touch with live chat team for Business Catalyst and they will walk through.

Select-options and Parameters, when to use what?

Hi gurus,
I have been using Parameters for long. Now I want to choose a range of values, which I need to retrieve from database.
I tried using select-options. Can't I use 2 parameters that is parameter1 and parameter2 and mention query BETWEEN para1 AND
para2, and when I use NO INTERVALS and NO EXTENSION together, it behaves same like parameter, then why did SAP gave these
extensions.

Select-Options Uses keyword 'for'
Parameters Uses keywords 'like', 'type'
Select-Options Uses operator 'in'
Parameters Uses operator '='
Select-Options Provides ranges for selection
Parameters No ranges only single value
Select-Options Creates selection table
Parameters No selection table
Select-Options When i/p blank all records selected
Parameters   When i/p blank none is selected
Note:
Select options can act as parameters by using 'no-extension' 'no intervals', but all records will be selected when i/p is blank unlike parameters.

How to remove Search Option and Portal favorites

Hi Experts,
I created two roles 1 & 2. and url iviews for BW reports and url iview for our company intranet home page.
I assigned/published all BW Iviews to role 1 and iview of intranet home page to role 2.
Now i got couple of cosmetic changes that i need to do on Role 2/intranet Iview to maximize the viewing area and give the look and feel of a web site.
1) How can i remove the bar that shows title of ivew and 3 options "History","Back","Farward" and "Options"
2) There is a search/Advanced search option above the roles(tabs) and below the Master Head...how can i remove that option.
3) How to remove Portal Favirate option in the navigational pannel

I recently created a new iPhoto library, why does it now show 2 iPhoto libraries the same and 1 being my new one when I hold option and open iPhoto at the same time?

I recently created a new iphoto library. It seems now that when I hold down the option key and open iphoto I now have 2 iphoto libraries (both the same library) as well as my new library which is now my default as I intended but why would I now have 2 listed the same in this box? When I go to finder>pictures there is only the 2!! I hope I am making sense!

Try the following to see if you can get rid of the ghost:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder (Snow Leopard and Earlier).
or with Lion and Mt. Lion from the User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto/
Data/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE 1: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
NOTE 2: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.

When I perform a search on orkut using search option and when I try to open the listed options in search results it says loading orkut and shows a loading bar and....nothing happens....while it works with other browsers...pls help

Help! Restoring iPhoto keywords using Time Machine?

I would really appreciate a hand if anyone can help!
I have iPhoto 11 (latest update), with a large photo library (many thousands of images; tens of gigabytes). There are about a hundred important pictures that I've tagged with keywords... and iPhoto just deleted the tag. (To be more precise, I clicked on one image and deleted the tag from it in the info panel and it seems to have deleted the tag from every single photo.)
How can I recover the list of photos that was tagged? I have a recent time machine backup, but I can't tell where the keywords are stored in the iPhoto library. Any advice? It would be a disaster to lose this information and a nightmare to restore by just "restoring" the entire (tens of gigabytes) library from the backup. If I can even get a list of filenames, I'm happy to manually re-tag each...

You will have to restore the entire library to get the keywords back. If you try it I would keep your current library also by selecting the Both button in the TM restore window just in case the restored library isn't what you wanted or is missing some photos:

Did I accidentally installed the extra options, and is the DB using them?

I'm reviewing licensing with my team on a set of Oracle 10.2.0.3 db's in our environment. We installed the software on a few servers with the same method:

Simply put, we excluded nothing and installed Enterprise Edition straight up. I was under the impression we did NOT install any of the extra options like OLAP and partitioning, but when I look closer it seems like it's there.

With the Partitioning, OLAP and Data Mining options
I looked at the 10g OEM 'Database Feature Usage' web page, focusing on Oracle Partitioning. I see here that Partitioning (system) is currently used, but Partitioning (user) is not. What does this mean? Am I now forced to pay for the Partitioning option? Does Oracle install these separately licensed options as part of it's default Enterprise Edition loadout? Does it matter if the option software is installed but the DB doesn't necessarily use any of these features?

for them. if it's hyper-important to you there used

I just discovered that Baudi has been added to my safari search options and I don't want it. How do I remove it?

I want to remove BAIDU from my Safari browser search engine choices. I read to go to "applications" select "toolbars" and select "uninstall Baidu" . The problem is "toolbars" is not on my list of "applications". How do I remove Baidu? I don't know how it got there. My niece sent me an email partially in Chinese and perhaps it was installed when I opened it, Thanks for any help.

There is amazingly little on the web about this unwanted software regarding Safari. Also just noticed I repeated the same nonsense removal instructions you found. Sorry for being a parrot.
Couple of things to try.
1) Close Safari. Open the /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ folder. Press Command+2 to change it to List view, then click Date Modified to sort them by time/date. Newest date should be at the top. If there's anything there with a date of just the past of couple of days, move it to the desktop. Launch Safari. Is it gone?
2) There are actually three folders named Internet Plug-Ins. Check the ones in the System folder, and in your user account Library folder. Again, looking for anything added just recently.
I saw the same page Linc posted to, but it didn't dawn on me at the time what the relation may be. Open the System Preferences and click on the Language & Region icon. If you see any Asian languages in the list as shown below. Highlight it and press the minus button to remove it.

Iphoto keywords in other apps?

are iphoto keywords written to the metadata of the file?
are they visibile in applications like photoshop or bridge?

How do I get rid of "(iPhoto)" keyword?

Years back, when I migrated from iPhoto to Aperture, I imported tens of thousands of pictures that I had at that point. I've since been tagging all the new pictures with initials of my kids, but have run into a keyword problem I can't solve:
approx 1/2 of the photos have "DMW" applied, and the other 1/2 have what the keyword filter shows as "DMW (iPhoto)" as the keyword, despite me only seeing "DMW" in the keyword list and all the rest of the UX. I can't just "replace" keywords since most have other people in them picture and carry multiple other keywords.
This is the case for ~10 different keywords that I simply can't get rid of...any suggestions!?

You have two different DMW keywords - one at the toplevel of your hierarchie of keywords, and one DMW as a subcategory of "iPhoto". When you imported iPhoto, probably that keyworrd was created automatically.
You can merge these two keywords from the keywords HUD. Then the iPhoto version will be merged into the toplevel DMW keyword.
Launch the Keywords HUD by typing ⇧H (or "Window > Show Keywords HUD").
When the HUD opens enter DMW into the search field.
Now you will see two instances of DMW.
Drag the lower DMW down to the bottom of the HUD to move it to the toplevel.
Now you should see a warning.
Press "Merge Keywords".
All your DMW tagged photos will now have the same DMW tag.
Alternately you could delete the DMW(iPhoto) keyword using the delete button at the footer of the HUD. That will remove it from the photos.

Smart Folder search options

When I create a new Smart Folder, the only search options available are "This Mac" & "Documents" (no option for the "Home" folder as described in Help).
This may be OK, except that the smart folders I have created are to find the most recently accessed spreadsheets, Word documents, powerpoints by type (one folder for each). When I set up the Smart Folder they work well if i specify "This Mac" (as not all the relevant docs are in the directory structure, I may have some on my desktop for example).
But, when I reopen the Smart Folder later, I do not see all my recently accessed files, I see some other selection.
So I have to open 'search options'. The options have changed to "This Mac" & "Recent WORD.saved search" (the name I have given the smart folder), with the latter selected. I then have to click on "This Mac" and the search refreshes correctly. Even though i subsequently save again with "This Mac" selected, it reverts to "Recent Word.saved search" when I look the next time.
This used to work the way I wanted and displayed the files I wanted when first opened. The change may be either a) because of changes in Snow Leopard; or b) because I now have shared computers and drives sometimes available and I wonder if these cause the saved search not to like "This Mac" option in case some of the directories are not available...just a thought.
Any ideas if I am doing something wrong or is there a bug?

Phew. I just figured this out. I had the opposite problem that you have. All my searches were restricted to my home folder. The answer is that the default search location when you select "New Smart Folder" is set by the default location for a new Finder window. Yours must be set to "Documents".
You don't have to select "New Smart Folder", though. You can open the folder or drive you want to search and then start typing in the search criteria field in the upper right to start a search restricted to that folder or drive.
Confusing behavior. That top bar for the location of the search should be editable.

What is the problem? What happens when you try to update your current iPhoto version at the App Store? and what is your current iPhoto version?
If you are currently using any version of iPhoto '11, version 9.x.x, use the Software Update tab, and if your version is older and not iPhoto '11, use the first tab at the App Store and purchase the upgrade to iPhoto 9.6.

Search Option in Fields in Record Working Time Table

In ESS, in Record Working Time table, there is search option provided in certain fields like for Rec. Order we have search option and when we click, screen pops up with advance search by Order Type,CO Area,Order,Description. In R/3 we have search option provided in all fields but not in ESS. How can we bring search option/functionality in fields like Receiver fund, Receiver Grant etc. in ESS for which this serch option/functionality is not provided. Thanks in advance for your valuable inputs.
