Search Problem with SharePoint 2010: Get Internal server error when doing search
Hi,
Am getting Internal server error, corelation id.. when I use the search functionality in SP2010.
I've installed Sharepoint 2010 trial version on windows server 2008 r2 and the database server used is a SQL server 2008 R2.

After making sure that all services are up and running, I had to deactive and activate the "SharePoint Server Site Search" web site collection feature. Then the search started working for the time being.
However, it throws the error again after 8 to 9 hours. This has been happening for last couple of weeks. I also came to know from my windows server team that they moved the AD from one place to another. Since then I am having this issue.
The log file has the following error:

Get Internal Server Error when run the site

Apache JServ log files in IAS_HOME/Apache/Jserv/logs.
is it because the newsites share the same port number 7777 as the existing ones ?
i looked at the log files and all it says is, some files not found.
is there anything else i seem to be missing ?

Get Internal Server Error when touhing my JSP
Hello gurus!
I use the auto compile tags for my jsp pages and servlets.
At the end of my servlet's service method I redirect to the JSP
page that shows the resulting page. My problem is: When I update
(or just touch) my JSP page and try to call the servlet, I got
an Internal Server Error.
How can you avoid this problem?

'Internal Server Error' means the problem is on the website you're visiting, not your computer.

i'm getting INTERNAL SERVER ERROR when connecting to site. everything was ok till yesterday night but since today morning, nobody has been able to log in the site.

1) Did you try shutting down apache with the sript?
2) When killing the httpd processes did you also kill the associated java processes?

Why am I getting internal server error
I am trying to buy a new phone and when I click shop, I get "Internal Server Error" I have chatted with people from Verizon but they just tell me to call. I explain that I need a phone in order to call. Chat people should be able to help...
Does anybody else get this error or know how to fix it?
I have deleted cookies and cleared cache.
I am stumpedOh n I work for Staples. Verizon dont know if they site is having problems til someone calls n tells them. Just like Comcast or your electric company.

Yes, I agree error log is not that helpful.
There are no errors or any log for that matter in IDM Console side, so I am guessing that error is occurring entirely in Java side.
I am trying to reset password for ABAP and IDM UI.
Backend is IDM UME.

This error was caused by the incorrect site binding, I will give a reference of my test Lab. We add two A records in DNS which the FQDN of CAS and Mailbox could resolve IP address.;

Exchange Back End:
Then IIS must be restarted.

Thanks in advance !!It seems you are using wrong client ID. Make sure your logon pad has right details. You should verify this with your basis team.
If the problem persists then try re-installing. But before you do that you can execute sapbexc.xla which is in the c:\program files\sap\bw. Type c:\ in cell c3 and click "start button". Any red flag means you have wrong version dll/ocx on your local drive, in that case you should reinstall with right patches.

HTTP 500 Internal Server Error when promoting
Hi All,
We are on HFM 9.3.1 and trying the use the process management feature.
In the HFM Server and Web config window we have specified an smtp server: mail.comp.com and restarted the services.
When we try to promote an entity, a new window pops up with a "HTTP 500 internal server error". For some reason this window cannot be maximised.
Now I am not 100% sure the smtp server we are using is correct.
Has anyone come across this? The entity is still promoted even though we get this error.
Which log should I be looking at for further info?

We fixed the problem by applying the following on the HFM web server:
1) open a command prompt (Start -> Run -> cmd) and type the following commands
cd \Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727
regasm /codebase "C:\Hyperion\FinancialManagement\Web Server\Mailer.dll"
Restart server

Internal Server Error when Displaying Total No. of Pages in Oracle Reports

I've already posted an almost similar message in the Developer Tools forums but would like to post it again here since we think that this is a problem with the report server (Maybe we're missing a patch, a configuration value not set properly or resources are not enough like memory).
We're using Oracle Reports Server ver10.1.2.0.2 and we're encountering an Internal Server Error when a particular report retrieves around 10K records which displays on each page the current page and the total no of pages. When we only display the current page, the report does not encounter any error.
When we enabled the tracing options, it just showed that it encountered a Null pointer exception.

And according to metalink (Doc Id:315228.1), we should just remove the total pages in our report. Problem is that this isn't an option for us. The document also mentioned about something about timeouts. We have already tried setting the request timeout parameter of the HTTP server to larger values but it still doesn't solve the problem.
Is there a workaround for this?
