Search Result Screen need a button for Article properties display

Hello All,
I have a requirement on the project.
Search Result Screen need to have a button at the command level which will display Article properties on the Clipboard(Notepad). Please let me know ,if there is a way out to do this.

I got same requirement for ibase hierarchy.I want to add new fields in Ibase hierarchy AB.Do you have any idea regarding this.My requirement is that ,i want to dispaly a fields as a check box which display that this component is in under warranty or not by checking the box.Plz tell ,how can i add a new field in tree type context node.I add a new fields using AET ,but that is not available in that AB.

How to: Create a custom search result screen?

Hello,
Is it possible to create a custom search result screen?
I need it because the users must be able to directly e-mail
the items or a selection of the items returned by the search.
For this modification of the standard result page isn't sufficient.

Need custom button for Thunderbird for FF toolbar; Don't know the website.

I have had a Thunderbird Custom Button for my FF toolbar and have lost it. This happened once before had someone gave me a website where all of the old custom buttons qwe listwed and I was able to drag & drop the button from there. Unfortunately I do nor had that website and hope that someone will be able to provide it for me. Thanks.

Problem with Help Link in search result screen of PCUI

Hi,
I am trying to access the pcui applications that came out of box with crm using BAB,everthing is working fine but got a problem with "Help" link in top right (beside personalize link) the search result area of all the PCUI screens.
when i click on that i get "page cannot be displayed" error, seems that it is pointing to some wrong URL, where should i change the url to point to our company's help site for that link..
clicking on the properties of that link shows that it is pointing to

My response help resolve Kodru's Message which he also posted in EP Implementation Forum. He resolved it by changing the variant noted below.

First I would check if the crm_bsp_f1_help service has been activated in SICF.
Secondly I would check the settings in the IMG -> SAP WAS -> Know. Mgt. -> Settings in App. Sys. -> Usage of Help Type "Dynamic Help". The Tab PlainHtmlHttp should have a variant called CRM_HELP, Server Name (help.sap.com) and path.

Open a custom page on click of a result from Search Result screen

We are in process of designing the architecture of our sharepoint application. We have a tweeky requirement.
From the default search results page, if user click on one of the result, a custom page should open which not only display the actual result text but this page should have the concatenated string of text from some other items.
For instance:
there are 2 lists:
List A with an item with text "Design: Complex hierarchy"
and List B with an item with text "Design: Hello"
If user searched "Complex" then a click on the result on search results page should open a page with this content
"Design: Complex hierarchy (tab)(tab...) Design:Hello"
Any solution or direction is welcome.

Search Result is showing Blank Title for some of the doc Files

Hi,
I am doing Search on SharePoint 2010 with the search scope set to one of the document library , But the search result is showing different results for different doc files. I can analyse three type of output from the search result:
1) for some records Title is shown correct.
2) for some files , Title is shown with keyword "Title:<Actual Title>"
3) and in some docs its hsowing Just the keyword "Title:" in place of actual title
I am not able to understand why the result is behaving like this.
Any assistance will be really appreciable .

In Central Administration in the Search Service in Managed Properties look for 'Title'. You will see that Title is populated from a number of properties on a document, some properties are given higher priority then others. That could be a clue.
Also, what type of document are you crawling a PDF, word document, etc? For PDFs you have to install a special iFilter and you need to be aware sometimes the properties on the actual PDF in adobe are used.
I sugest: Try to make sure you give your documents a title in SharePoint and that you rank that property as the #1 property in Central Admin that the Managed property 'Title' uses.

OD settings: "maximum search results" guidance needed

Hello OD users -
I can't seem to find any guidelines as to what settings I should be using for the field "Return a maximum of ___ search results" or the "Search timeout" field after that in Open Directory protocol settings.
I think the default is to leave it wide open- 11000 results timing out in 1 hour. Apple's documentation says you can change that to prevent one type of denial-of-service attack, but they don't give any suggestions as to what settings to use. We only have about 170 OD users set up, but I'm not sure how many LDAP records would be needed in a search, or what a reasonable timeout period would be.

Before responding to your points I want to give a little more context:
We have an intranet based on pure html and a little aspx containing many of those pdf- files. By clicking on the links in the intranet the files open correctly in browser handled by the adobe plugin. Now we set up this search server crawling the file system
accessed through a share to the root folder of the intranet. In the search server settings a host mapping rule is applied to replace the file://[share] with http://[intranet host+domain+port] to access files over http.
And now to answer your question. The resulting urls are the same, copying the link from intranet and copying the link from the search result (except some case issues).
The event viewer not seem to show any errors on this, though I'm not very familiar using it.
If any further information are from interest and any ideas come to your mind - please let me know.

Bing search results can't be clicked for many searches.

I'm moving away from Google and am frustrated with either a bug in Firefox 13, or perhaps a plug in. I've looked at the HTML source for the Bing's search results and don't see any issues with their anchors. This doesn't happen on every search result, but the example included has been consistently not working.

I'm going to pass on that option, cor-el. I have too many settings, preferences, site info, etc to give that one a try. Anyway, here's an image illustrating the issue. I've selected the results and highlighted where the missing links are with red boxes. When the text isn't highlighted, it all appears correctly, but the boxed areas can't be clicked!

when i search a document with s it s documentid :
the document was found,
but when i search same document with its name it was not found.
the documents those not found with its name was last month documents only and before
that old documents was found in search results when i search with its name value.
- the last month we moved the content database storage to new location
- i stopped all sharepoint services including search (stopped crawling ) and started again when storage
migration completed

NEED Middle button for Magic Mouse in Bootcamp!

Hey guys!
I recently purchased a Magic Mouse, and my oh my is it AWESOME! Problem is that it hadn't occured to me there was no middle button and I DESPERATELY need a middle button to use Solidworks under Bootcamp. Anyone know of any drivers/programs/hacks that'll enable middle button for me? Else I've effectively wasted $70, and being a student, that hurts.
PLEASE let me know ASAP! I'd hate to have to get one of those generic mouses.

Customized netweaver login screen needs seperate login for every mime

Hi all,
we are running ECC6 and have customzed our netweaver login screen (copied CL_ICF_SYSTEM_LOGIN to <ownClass>, redefined HTM_LOGIN, maintained it in SICF, etc.).
And it works great - but:
At the first call the system wants login/pw of each mime used on the login screen.
But only for the first time.
I can't repeat it.
But it happens to every user.
Correctly deleting cookies (close all screens; control->internet options-> delete cookies) CANNOT repeat the behaviour.
Globally invalidating http server cache CANNOT repeat the behaviour.
mimes on login screen are called like:
https://<servername>:<https-port>/sap/bc/bsp/sap/public/bc/bsp/<applname>/xy.jpg
So we need a login to see our login screen
pls help...

Bugger here is that the code which retrieves the object from the MIME repository makes an authorization check.
CL_MIME_SERVICES method -> MIME_CHECK_AUTHORITY
So it cannot run under SAPSYS as the user cannot be assigned any authority, let alone S_DEVELOP... (which in my opinion is much too strict here...). You will need to save a SERVICE user's logon credentials into the ICF service to make it visible to the user who has not logged in yet.
Or... use SSO..

Google search does not show results must press RELOAD button for it to work

Hello,
I am using FF 17.0. This just started recently.
When I go to Google and enter a search word and hit "enter" the results page loads with just the top header and a blank screen otherwise. I need to hit the RELOAD button in the address bar for everything to complete with results..
Then, after scrolling thru the results to the bottom of the page and hitting ENTER to go to the next page, again the same thing happens. I need to hit the RELOAD button again for more results.
This happens for every search I do when using FireFox.
It works perfectly fine in IE. I hate IE.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is is best not to use extensions like Fasterfox that change network.http settings.<br />
You should leave them at the default as changing them can cause problems with some servers.
You can check the network.http.* prefs on the about:config page.<br />
Reset network.http prefs to the default value via the right-click context menu -> Reset if they are user set (bold).

FROZEN SCREEN need to study for finals!!!

Boot from the installation DVD that came with your machine. Launch Disk Utility from the Utilities menu and run "Repair Disk" on your internal drive. Repeat, if needed, until no problems with the volume are reported. Then try booting as usual. If you still can't, boot again from the same DVD, or from the retail Mac OS X disc you used to upgrade, if applicable, and run the Installer. After the installation is complete, reboot and run Software Update.
