Search / Results Page not showing results

Hello, I am designing a website for my work, which requires a "search products" element.
I have read that I need to do this "dynamically" in PHP and MySQL and so have been learning how to do this, and so far I have managed to:
1) set up WAMP
2) create "4 products (will eventually be 300 when I know it works)" sample database and have it "talk" to Dreamweaver (CS6)
3) Set up the "search form button"
4) create a search_results.php page with the dynamic table to hold the data / recordset
5) Get the correct results when I "test" the recordset as shown below: (i.e using "black" as the search test word which does correctly shows the one product out of the 4 that has black in the description column)
6) it looks like it added it to the table correctly in design view:
7) but when I preview it in the browser and type in "black" into the search box I dont get any results? I only get the titles of the columns? (image below of the results I get in the browser):
I've been looking on the internet / adobe help and have the "dummies" books and lynda.com dvds, but i've yet to find clear step by step instructions on how to do this properly. Does anyone know what I should be doing - I appear to be going around in circles with this one? thanks.

Search Box is not showing in custom master page

Hi
I am using "Office 365 Enterprise E3 Trial"
and have created a custom master page for my public SharePoint
site .
I have added Search snippet from the snippet gallery but the search
box is not showing in the master page .I am not able to find the reasons .

IWeb Main Page Not Showing

I've researched to death and tried everything but can't fix this.
Recently did a clean install on my iMac and since then iWeb won't work.
I have :
- Reinstalled from original disc then updated to latest version 3.0.4
- Deleted the com.apple.iWeb.plist file and com.apple.iWeb Cache Folder, restarted, and tried opening again
- I have removed my domain.sites2 file to try and open iWeb and initiate making a new site
iWeb is fully loaded and operational - in Activity Monitor it does not have a red flag - shows as being operational. I can access iWeb's Preferences, open and close various Inspectors, but the main window is simply not visible.
I am on Lion 10.7.2
I had updated my website using iWeb while on Lion 10.7.1
I have a small business and my website is outdated and will be losing me new customers at this point who will think I don't have the latest stock and information.
Any help appreciated - naturally no need to reply if 'fixes' are as per other posts and noted as having been tried above.

Where is the main page not showing? In iWeb or online?
In Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
For opening your domain file in Lion or to switch between multiple domain files Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.
Just launch the application, find and select the domain file you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.

Default search engine will not show

after the update to 35.0 yesterday my search engines wil not show.
In the add search engines they show, but not on the search bar.
See images for example.
Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

hello imans314, the multiple engines should appear once you start typing in the searchbar. if you just hit enter after the search term it will go to your default engine...

Search site description not showing results

I have the site description set (from site setting-> title, description and logo) in the site but when i search the description, the site won't show up in results. we have the url covered in content source and crawl rule, and a full crawl ran, actually
the page content can be searchable in the site.
any idea?

As per my understanding, you had created site with description and when you search with created site description, you are not getting search results.
Had you tried searching any documents in the site.
Is there crawled propertied mapped.
I recommend try searching with site name or any documents inside the site, hope that could help you.

Search on Keyword not showing correct results

I tagged all 5k of my images keywords. Basically people's names of who is in the image.
I then ran a search by person's name, but a lot of the results do not contain the keyword I searched for.
In the results I checked the metadata tab under Keywords: and my search term is not listed.
Am I missing something?

Yes, I added the keywords using 'Batch Change....'
The Keyword HUD shows all my keywords listed right there at the root. ie. My keywords are not under any other keywords. ie. iPhoto/Raw or Personal/Backyard

Search hover panel not showing up in Internet Explorer with custom master page

The hover panel is not showing up in internet explorer. I am using a custom master page and it works no problem in the other browsers. When I fire up the debugger there is an error message when i hover over a search result item:
I tried debugging the JavaScript but i am not sure what is going on with it.
Am I missing reference or something done like that? It has to be something simple because I have been scratching my head for a while on this.
Any ideas?

Have you tried rendering the site in IE Compatability Mode? Compatability Mode solves a lot of problems in this area because older versions of IE had a unique interpretation of HTML code.

Pages not showing up in web search

I am a newbie to DW 8 (I am a photographer).
Like everyone, I would love to find my pages in a web search
with google or yahoo, but they are not showing up.
Here is an example of the info (from the web page) for one of
my pages (classes I teach):

How long has the site been up? If you search for this
Photography Shows
Richard Sjolund it comes up first in google.
Search for this Richard Sjolund was born in the Upper
Peninsula of Michigan
and it comes up as duplicate content an other website
http://www.artsiowacity.com/artist/RSjolund/rsjolund.htm
so could be a
problem from the search engines point of view. Hard to say
looks like a lot
of competition in this field.

Page not showing correctly and missing sitemap

I have two problems involving Dreamweaver 8.02.
First is the index page not loading correctly. But when you
preview the page from Dreamweaver's browser everything shows fine.
But opening up a new broswer it is all messed up. I am using
Dreamweaver 8.02 and one of the existing templates in CSS style.
Second issue is the missing sitemap whenever I FTP files to
the server. I used to be able to view the remote site and the local
files side by side. Now. the white box indicating that perspective
is gone. Did I click on something accidentally? If so, how do I
reset everything?

I'm not sure but could the problem possibly be with the router itself. I checked many other topics of people reporting the same problems as me and the person above me. They all seem to be the same WRT54G wireless routers and all seem to have been reported at least within the last couple weeks. It seemed like the help given too never really helped the problem. I'm sure it's not the browser because I have had the same result on all that I've tried or the firewall because I have had that off while trying just like everyone else who seemed to have the problem.

Why are photos that are placed on the page not showing up in links panel?

seems really random, I have 2 files that have several photos on them, but one photo on each is not showing in the links panel

not sure, just checking on errors from other co-workers, but I tried copying and
pasting from Quark and got the same result, so that is probably what they did.

Hi all,
I have a template based page with one flash animation.
When I preview my template page the flash is working fine,
but in my pages
bases on the template I don't see my flash animation.
Do I miss something?

HELP, please! iWeb Album Pages not showing up at all

My ftp uploaded pages are not showing up on either safari or firefox! I tried to fix the javascript via Wyodor's previous posts, but it's still not showing anything.

Problems with page not showing up in Internet Explorer

I uploaded my page. All was fine. Looked good in all
browsers.
home.gci.net/~larry-and-jackie/index.htm
Now all of a sudden my index.htm page (also have default.htm
page) shows up as a black screen only no pictures. No words.
All of the sub pages show up fine if you add that to the
address. Just the Index. is not showing up in Internet Explorer.
Looks good in Firefox, Netscape and Safari.

Anybody have any suggestions?

is just the same as
index.htm

(note the capital "I" )
can't be seen .... no such file.
Not sure why you would have an index.htm and a default.htm
both really
aren't needed.
Have you tried clearing your browser cache?

Searching for apps not showing the desired apps

On 6/28/2012 at around 4 PM EST, I searched for the app "Chrome" on my iPhone 4 running iOS 5.1.1. I wasn't shown the Chrome browser in the search results. However, when I search for the same app on iTunes on my mac, I can find that app. I don't want to synch my phone to my comupter just to install this app. Any idea why might this be happening. This isn't the first time, it has happened before too. BTW my account is US iTunes based account.

But this issue always happens, whenever there is a new app. I have to wait for a day or two or install it by synching the phone to my mac. I just want to throw it out there, so that I know if this happens to others or just me.

Some Photo Pages not showing no matter the browser

I'm using iWeb '08 and have 2 separate sites. I noticed last night that, only on one of the sites, the photo pages are not showing the photos. Yet, on the other site, the photo pages are fine. It's really weird.
Anybody have any thoughts?
BTW, I tried to view them in both Safari and FF.

Are those 3 pages constructed like the other with photos placed on the page rather than a photos page with a slideshow? Those three pages don't show the photos being uploaded. They are not listed as missing, just not included on the page (go to Window->Activity menu option). In the sites that do display correctly the photos are listed as shapeimage_3.png or something like that.
You might try republishing the entire site to see if that will jump start those three pages.

Iweb web page not showing full page on the web

I have a web site that I build using iweb. I have installed intense debate for a commenting system. I have two problems. My comments are not showing up even after i approve them even though i chose to not monitor comments and when you view the page most of the comment box is missing. I have changed the height and width of the page, changed the height and width of the age layout in iweb, nothing seems to help. I have contacted there support team but they just keep saying the same things. Apparently i need to do this to get the commenting system working "looks like you don't have any JavaScript variables set. You'll need to set some postid's and URLs." That is copied directly from the email they sent me. I don't know what any of that means...And please don't say read the tutorial they offer because i cant fallow that either.
