Search within XMLForms shows ID not Name

Hi,
i have setup my XMLForms with the system property name as the title.
when viewing that in the KM folder, i see the title and not the GUID (e.g. 40035a63-04dd-2c10-9ebe-b772175396b9.xml).
The properties of this document shows me that the name is setup correctly.
Under the tab "Access paths" i see the ID with thev value of the GUID.
When I search for the document, the search result is using the GUID and not the Name.
The Search Result Renderer is using:
rnd:displayname(contentLink)
What do I have to use instead to get the name and not the ID (GUID)?

I developed an application to lookup in the KM and had the same problem as yours. I was using <IResourceObject>.getName() which returned the GUID of the xml form builder. I had to switch my method to the getDisplayName() which retrieved the display name of the xml form and not the GUID.
getDisplayName() worked just fine for me. Also under the properties of the xml forms, the DisplayName showed under Name and GUID under ID.

Search within Outlook 2013 will not search subject unless i specify "subject:()"

I am having an issue with Outlook 2013 where if I search for lets say "computer" and I have a message with the word "computer" in the subject line, it does not find it. If i search for "subject:(computer)" then it finds it.
It's as if keyword searching isn't working but if I specify where I want it to search it works. I tried doing it on a computer that did not have any Office updates and it works as it should so I have a feeling that it must be an update that changed the functionality.
Is anyone aware of this issue?

Please try to delete and rebuild index to check the result. To do this, click in the Search box, under
SEARCH tab, click Search Tools > Search Options > Indexing Options >
Advanced button > Click Rebuild button. Restart Outlook to check the result.

I tried rebuilding the index and doing an office repair but neither helped. I tried it on another computer and had the same issue. Only place I get it to work is when no office updates have been installed. I am not sure when this stopped working so I cannot
pinpoint which update might have caused it.

Messaging on iPad 2 showing numbers not names

How do I fix messaging to show names instead of numbers?

I synced my ipad 2 with itunes and updated and now the correct email address is showing when I purchase an app.
I also synced my iphone but the account is still showing one device associated with icloud.
Anything else I can do? Thanks so much.

Prior to updating to iOs 6.3.1 my system worked perfectly.

After updating to 4.3.5, spotlight does not search within text messages

I just updated my iPhone 4 to 4.3.5 and Spotlight does not search within the text of my SMS text messages any more. It only searches by the name of the SMS senders. There does not seem to be any setting I can adjust and I have restarted the phone several times but nothing changed.

I figured out how to get it working while retaining your data.
Connect your phone and perform a full backup.
Erase all data/media or restore the phone
Select setup as a new iPhone when prompted in iTunes. Give it some other name (i.e. "New").
Grab a copy of iBackupBot from here http://www.icopybot.com/itunes-backup-manager.htm
Run iBackupBot and select the new backup
In the file list, locate the file name SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist
Open the plist be double-clicking on it.
Copy the contents of this file to clipboard.
Select the full backup of your iphone under it's original name (make sure to grab the one with the latest date).
Locate SystemConfiguation/preferences.plist
Scroll to the bottom and note the Hostname for your phone.
Replace the contents of this file with the that from the "New" backup making sure to change the hostname and phone name in the last section of the plist.
Save the changes to the plist.
Connect your iPhone to iTunes
Right-click on it and select "Restore from backup"
Locate the latest backup under your phone's original name
When it's done restoring and reinstalling your applications, you should once again have push notifications that work over the cellular network.

Before I used to have "Martin Parris’s iMac:" on the prompt. Now, I always have this "unknown..." line. Anybody know why and how to fix it?

The default PS1 prompt variable ha \h in it which the bash shell substitutes the hostname, however, bash determines the hostname by first taking you IP nn.nn.nn.nn address and doing a reverse DNS lookup. If bash gets a value back, no matter what it is, even unknown, bash uses that value. If the Mac OS X lookup does not get a response from the DNS servers, Mac OS X will use your System Preferences -> Sharing -> Computer name.
In your cast, it appears a DNS server is returning unknown
You can set your PS1 prompt to whatever you want. See "man bash" and look for 'prompt'
You could also search the forums for 'PS1' and find similar discussings on the Terminal and your prompt.

have a text convo with the person you want to delete. Go to the top contact in the text convo, hit edit contact, and delete that contact.
That resolution came from another thread on this issue, and this did solve to poster's issue.

This is because the query is excluding the current site you are trying to modify since it is actually in the report.
You can include in your query:
or site_id = :Pxx_SITE_ID
Where Pxx_SITE_ID is the item holding the site_id value and xx is your page number.

Search Item drop-down does not show any data for Advanced Search.

Hi,
I have a requirement to add a new criteria to the existing Advanced Search region of 'My Employee Information' in Manager Self Service responsibility. I substituted the AdvancedSearchVO to include the new column. Using personalization i did the below steps to show the new column in the page,
1) Created a 'Message Styled Text' item under Table Layout region to display the result. I associated the View Instance (AdvancedSearchVO1) and View Attribute (AttrColumn).
2) In Advanced Search Panel created a new CriteriaRow and set the 'Search Allowed' property to True.
3) In Advanced Search Mappings i tried to create the new mapping but the Search Item drop-down does not show any of the CriteriaRow item. But Results Item shows the 'Message Styled Text' item created in step 1 above.
Any idea what i would be missing becasue of which 'Search Item' property does not show any data?
I am using OAF version 12.1.1.

But when i tried to create a new custom page with advanced table and created a new LOV column via personalization. i was able to create new search mapping.. but this is not happening in the seeded page case :(.
I m also looking for solution...if any one can provide some inputs on it , will be highly appreciated.

.i i dragged an adf table from data control.it has got 3 columns.i changed the name of first column as Lang grades.when i run that it is showing the column name as lang grades.then in that table two fields r mandatory.so in the property inspector i put the show required as true.but after that on running it is not showing the column name as lang grades.there is only the star sign for showing the attribute as required only.

not enough information. So from your description, a column that is not marked required on its cell renderer component is not displayed at runtime. I am not aware of such a problem and suggest to try a later version of 11g R1 (11.1.1.6) to see if this reproduces. This allows you to exclude a probelm with 11.1.1.3 only

Are you just asking because you want to know, or do you have a problem you need to solve? I don't know how to write a program, but I think what your are describing is not an unusual thing for a program to do. The * tells you that changes have been made since the last save, and the program reserves a portion of memory for undo functions. I suppose a coder could tell you how it works, but I don't think it would help an average user to know, but that's just my opinion.

Use BCC. That's blind carbon copy. And copy paste the address into the BCC field. It really depends what e-mail program you use how to enable BCC.

"FROM" shows email address, not name, for a few address book entries

What is strange is that for the people it happens to, Mail IS able to successfully cross-reference them to an address book entry by showing their real name (and photo if I have one), in the BODY of the message. In other words, Mail will always resolved email address into names in the body of mail messages (100% of the time if I have a matching address book entry), but will only show names rather than addresses in the list view maybe 85% of the time. Weird. Seems like mail should either know the sender and display a name instead of address, or not. My issue is that is knows them in the body but doesn't in the messages list (above the preview pane).
I can't figure out what about the address book card for these few people is any different from the others one which do the name matching perfectly every time.
A small concern here, I know, but it is very annoying that I can't figure this out. I first noticed it back with Mail for Tiger. Any ideas?

you are right. It is easy to prove and Mail doesn't do anything of the sort when i try it. On the other hand if I change the From field when composing a message, any recipient (using mail or any other email client) will see that name. that name is sent with the message and you can see it if you view the raw source of the message. Mail certainly never changes raw source.
