I am facing the issue(Error in Expansion) in XL reporter while opening the particuler .ixr files which is named as ARP_RG23Apart1 and that particular ARP_RGA name was not able to find in formula builder ,can anyone help me to solve this issue.....

Got this solution from the XLR group regarding error in expansion - Got this solution from the XLR group -
"You receive the error when you have a formula within the report that XLR doesn't
recognize. There could be many reasons why/how this occurs. Some of the cases
I have seen are
1. When you transfer a report from one company to another.
2. When you manually write a formula (such as =ixGet---), instead of using
Formula Builder. etc
To trouble shoot this, you can highlight each row and/column one by one and XLR
tells you if there is an error under Complete Selection. If the error is within
cells (not under Complete Selection), then I normally make a copy of the report
and start deleting rows and/columns one by one and execute the report. This way
you can find out which cell has a formula that XLR doesn't recognize."

How can I get the Tables in my report to update their field lists?

I am working with Crystal Reports 2008, and I have a ReportDocument loaded in a .NET project.
I want to update the field lists of the tables (stored procedures) used in the report. I am calling "VerifyDatabase()", but this does not update the field lists. Through the designer, I accomplish this by going to the Database -> Set Datasource Location..., then clicking on the stored procedure (i.e. table) in the report, clicking on the stored procedure under the database in the bottom pane, and then clicking "Update".
How can I accomplish this in code?

Hello,
You have to use RAS and the replace connection method. The Report Engine does not have the ability.
Search forums for "ReplaceConnection_Click" and you'll find sample code that should work for you.

Neen help with date range searches for Table Sources

I need help, please. I am trying to satisfy a Level 1 client requirement for the ability to search for records in crawled table sources by a date and/or date range. I have performed the following steps, and did not get accurate results from Advanced searching for date. Please help me understand what I am doing wrong, and/or if there is a way to define a date search attribute without creating a LOV for a date column. (My tables have 500,00 rows.)
I am using SES 10.1.8.3 on Windows 32.
My Oracle 10g Spatial Table is called REPORTS and this table has the following columns:
TRACKNUM Varchar2
TITLE Varchar2
SUMMARY CLOB
SYMBOLCODE Varchar2
Timestamp Date
OBSDATE Date
GEOM SDO_GEOMETRY
I set up the REPORTS table source in SES, using TRACKNUM as the Primary Key (unique and not null), and SUMMARY as the CONTENT Column. In the Table Column Mappings I defined TITLE as String and TITLE.
Under Global Settings > Search Attributes I defined a new Search Attribute (type Date) called DATE OCCURRED (DD-MON-YY).
Went back to REPORTS source previously defined and added a new Table Column Mapping - mapping OBSDATE to the newly defined DATE OCCURRED (DD-MON-YY) search attribute.
I then modified the Schedule for the REPORTS source Crawler Policy to “Process All Documents”.
Schedule crawls and indexes entire REPORTS table.
In SES Advanced Search page, I enter my search keyword, select Specific Source Group as REPORTS, select All Match, and used the pick list to select the DATE OCCURRED (DD-MON-YY) Attribute Name, operator of Greater than equal, and entered the Value 01-JAN-07. Then the second attribute name of DATE_OCCURRED (DD-MON-YY), less than equals, 10-JAN-07.
Search results gave me 38,000 documents, and the first 25 I looked at had dates NOT within the 01-JAN-07 / 10-JAN-07 range. (e.g. OBSDATE= 24-MAR-07, 22-SEP-), 02-FEB-08, etc.)
And, none of the results I opened had ANY dates within the SUMMARY CLOB…in case that’s what was being found in the search.
Can someone help me figure out how to allow my client to search for specific dated records in a db table using a single column for the date? This is a major requirement and they are anxiously awaiting my solution.

Thanks very much for your reply. However, from what I've read in the SES Admin Document is that (I think) the date format DD/MM/YYYY pertains only to searches on "file system" sources (e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, PDF, etc.). We have 3 file system sources among our 25 total sources. The remaining 22 sources are all TABLE or DATABASE sources. The DBA here has done a great job getting the data standardized using the typical/default Oracle DATE type format in our TABLE sources (DD-MON-YY). Our tables have anywhere from 1500 rows to 2 million rows.
I tested your theory that the dates we are entering are being changed to Strings behind the scenes and on the Advanced Page, searched for results using OBSDATE equals 01/02/2007 in an attempt to find data that I know for certain to be in the mapped OBSDATE table column as 01-FEB-07. My result set contained data that had an OBSDATE of 03-MAR-07 and none containing 01-FEB-07.
Here is the big issue...in order for my client to fulfill his primary mission, one of the top 5 requirements is that he/she be able to find specific table rows that are contain a specific date or range of dates.

Functional specification - searching a table in Structure

Dear SAP Gurus
I am new to CRM, and while preparing a functional specification for developing a smart form have come across n issue. For example if I want the Campaign field in Tcode: CRM_MKTPL to be displayed in smartform I have to get the table where the campaign name goes and is saved. How do I search this table because when I click on campaign and press F1 then I can only get the Structure, Program and field name from the Technical info page.
Please help me to find out the table which stores the final saved info of this field. Or is there any other way to develop a smartform in CRM as this is a new development both for me as well as the ABAP developer.
Also the Cost sheet where the costs are entered and displayed for different activities like Advertisement expenses in the campaign made is a BW report format, I want to pull up the Total Cost displayed on this report. How do I do that??? BCoz once saved we cannot pull up any field from this report.

After getting that strucure information, for that particular structure u can find out some data element in there itself.
U have to double click the data element afterthat u will get some screen. In there u can find out some where used list option is there. After clicking that one one small screen will come after putting the tick mark to the table fields. For that screen u have to put the enter.
Now u can see that data element FIELD is used for the total SAP what is the db table name and fields also will display.

The above code executes well with no problem at all!
As you can see the file to which i create and save and open my pdf report is
AssignedDialyzer.pdf.
The column headers of table in pdf report from c# windows forms using iTextSharp are
"Reprocessing Date","Patient Name","Dialyzer(Manufacturer,Size)","No.of Reuse","Verification" and
"DialyzerID".
However the problem i am facing is after execution and opening of document is my
column headers in table in pdf report from
c# and datas in it all appear in bold.
I have browsed through net regarding to solve this problem but with no success.
What i want is my pdf report from c# should be similar to following format which i was able to accomplish in vb6,adodb with MS access using iTextSharp.:

Table used in report painter

Hi,
How to check what table is really used in a certain report painter.
For my case, I want to a report 1KSL-001 under 1VK library, and I can see this 1VK library is using table "CCSS", but CCSS acctually is not a table, its just a structure.
So, how to use what tables are used while running report 1KSL-001?

Adding data into a custom table through a report transaction

Is it possible to add data into a table through a report transaction. I have been asked to create a report in which when we add certain data in the selkection screen it updates thoses particular fields and the rest of the records can be fille dout in the output. Basically I have a customised allocation table called zalloc. I have to create a report with selection screen having receiving plant, material document of the original transfer psoting , issuning plant , line item number , batch, receiving and issuning storage location. I need to validate this against the mseg table and whatever entry I make in teh selection screen should update my zalloc table from here.

Yes, It is possible to add records to a table using a report transaction. You can use Update or Modify to insert records in a table.Convert the data fetched from the ZALLOC and convert it into an internal table of the same format as that of the ZALLOC table and simply do an
loop at itab_zalloc into wa_zalloc.
*INSERT INTO ZALLOC FROM WA_zalloc*.
endloop.
OR
INSERT ZALLOC FROM TABLE ITAB_ZALLOC
OR
UPDATE ZALLOC FROM TABLE ITAB__ZALLOC .
Update will modify if that record exist and returns sy-subrc as non zero if entry does not exist.
OR
MODIFY updates an existing DB entry or, in no matching entry exists, inserts a new entry into the DB table

To display the records of a table in ALV report dynamically such that first 10 fields of the table should only be displayed excluding 'mandt' field .
That is field no 2nd to 11th should be displayed.

it is a import paramter IS_VARIANT = wa_layout.
All you have to do is first execute the report and save layouts what exactly you want
and then next time you run the report you will get a chance to select the layout of your own.

You can get rid of MANDT field from fieldcatalog and internal table by creating a new
structure. I mean, if you know you always want to display the field from 2 to 11 then simply
delete the field from fieldcatalog.
You can assign to different field catalog using Field symbols and change your internal
table as well since you have created a dynamic internal table.

How to use non-default Alias Table in Analyzer report

Hi,I defined many alias tables in Essbase. I would like to use a different alias table other than the "default" in Analyzer 6.5 report. In the on-line help, it said I can modify in "database connection properties" when first defining a new report to use a specific alias table. It tells me to do the following: Click the "New" toolbar button. Select a Display Type or Layout, and click OK. Right-click a database connection name in the "Select Database Connections" dialog box, and select Modify from the right-click menu.So I did this, but as I did the last-right click, there is no "Modify" option available. Only has "Add New..", "Database Connection Properties.." However, if I defined a new personal database connection using the login user, I can select to use other alias table. But this will go to personal database connection properties.Is it possible to specifically tell Analyzer to use other alias the global level in database connection? What I use to do is to have certain reports to use the default alias, and another to use another alias table. These reports should be able to share across all users.Sam

In deed it is fix in the GA.Another way to set the alias table is to do it in the Admin client. If you add a connexion to a user there is a new 6.5 button "set alias" that allow you to set the default alias table for this specific user. But, it does not exit on a user group level.

Layout issue - More than one table sections on report?

Hello all
I am wondering if any of you know if there is a way to have more than one table or table field on a report.
I'm asking this because I'd like to include a large number of fields in one report, but then that makes the report hard to read (everything is on one long line).
I am wondering if there is a way to have more than one table section on a report so I could have the address information at the top of the report than have other additional information below the address. Basically I'm interested in making things easier to read for the user.

Use Pivot tables to isolate the columns you want in each table in your report.

The code executes well with no problem and get all datas from tables into table in PDF report from c# windows forms.
But here is my problem how can i align Title(DCS Clinical Report-Technician wise) center of pdf report with image named:logo5.png immediately coming to it's right?.
As the problem i am facing is my title or Header(DCS Clinical Report-Technician wise) is at top of my image named:logo5.png and not coming to it's center position of my image.
Second the problem i am facing is how to add new entire row to top of existing table in pdf report from c# windows form using iTextSharp?.
given in below is the row and it's data . So how do i add the given below row and it's data to my top my table in pdf report from c# windows forms using itextsharp?
as you can see how i create my columns in table in pdf report and populate it with sql server data. Given the code below:

I’m sorry for the issue that you are hitting now.
This itextsharp is third party control, for this issue, I recommended to consult the control provider directly, I think they can give more precise troubleshooting.
