Searching dreamweaver-based website for files that use a specific template
I use about 5 different templates on my site right now. I'd
like to switch several groups of pages to a different template. Is
there a way to search for all pages that use one template, then
apply a different template to them?
You must do it with ALL pages closed. And yes, it will work.

Finder Searches for Files That Do NOT Contain Certain Words
Is it possible to do a search in the Finder for files that do NOT contain a certain word?
As far as I know you can't do that. It would be lovely to pipe the results of one search into another....
What happens is if you specify a type folder, then exclude a file system name, the command excludes folders that have the word in their name.

- The normal use of the Organizer is not the folder view, it's the thumbnail view with an organization based on categories and folder. That way you should forget completely where your pictures are stored. Anyway, the folder view in the Explorer is not a map of the location of the different bits of your file, it's only a logical representation. That's easy to see when you are doing a defragmentation.

Searching for document that uses a certain font?
Is there a way to search for a Word document that uses a specific font? There is only one possible document on my hard drive that uses this font.
There must be a way, that info is stored in the Document near the end, like...

Is there an automated way to scan my multimedia folder for files that are there and not in my i tune library and add them to y existing library ?
I recenty had a damaged i tune library and had to import an old version.
This last one does not have many of the CD I have copied the past months. And I don't know which ones these are either as they are too many of them.This will list files that are in the iTunes DB but the files are not in the media folder…

I think it may misbehave with ringtones & some of the obscure media files, but they are both really powerful for repairing mangled libraries.
I would create a new smart playlist for 'Tracks added since (todays date)' so you can easily find any tracks that you add back to iTunes.

Problem in scheduling data refresh of excel file that uses PowerPivot
I think I have successfully created and enabled the gateway and data sources for refresh - they are both seeming to connect. However, when I try to schedule a data refresh to occur in the PowerBI site for the Excel file I receive an error message
that the connection could not be established and receive error message "Correlation ID: d118ab93-436d-44a9-8c09-564f64fe0c58". Appreciate any assistance in figuring out how to resolve. How to call Fortran .dll file that using other library files?
Hi,
I am trying to do some arkward tasks using LabView, and I am desperately need help....
A little bit background:
1. My co-worker has some code written in Fortran, where he called other libraries (many from CERNLAB or PAW). Those stuffs are pretty powerful in mathmatical calculation and simulations.
2. In some of my LabView code, I need to call his Fortran source code in order to do some complicated calculations. I have no capablility to translate his Fortran code to Labview (or is it even possible??), so we end up with trying to use "Call library function node" where I just provide input/outputs to communicate with his code. The idea sounds simple enough?
3. We complie the Fortran code into .dll, and then specifiy the dll in "Call library function node". The first try with a very simple Fortran code, something like c = a+b*a, was sucessful. The dll file and Call lib function worked good. It's sort of proved the concept.
4. Now I am trying more complicated Fortran code (say Test.dll), which calling other library (.lib files) that using typical "call xxx(a,b,c)" line, and my nightmare started.... It seems nothing was excuted when I call Test.dll in LabView.
Questions:
1. How do LabView know if the Test.dll code needs functions from other .lib files? Do I need to copy all the .lib files to a specific folder?
2. When I create .dll file, for LabView to be able to use it, are there any special requirement on the way the .dll is compiled?
3. Seems there is mismatch btw the data type in Fortran and LabView. For example, LabView's Signed 8-bit Integer seems different with a integer in Fortran. How can i know the correlation btw data type in different langurage, i.e. LabView vs Fortran?
4. Are there any good examples that I can take a look?
I would highly appreicate any suggestions/helps!

HarryYou are aware that Intel Visual Fortran is the successor to Compaq Visual Fortran (I think you made a mistype with the Virtual)? So an upgrade might be at its place.
Anyhow I'm really not familiar with Fortran at all, but lib files are usually compiled into an EXE or DLL and not loaded dynamically. 1)
So there should be no problem with locating those libs. What most likely is a problem are other DLL dependencies such as any Fortran Runtime library or possibly other third party DLLs the more advanced code in your DLL might be using.
Typically most compilers can be configured to link the runtime library code statically into the DLL, as altenbach reports for the Intel compiler, otherwise you must make sure to install the redistributable Fortran Runtime Library for your compiler. Besides that you must make sure to find out what other runtime dependencies your code might have and install them.
1) One exception I know of is LabWindows CVI which allows to also load lib files dynamically. This is supposedly a legacy feature from LabWindows for DOS, which allowed that feature to simulate dynamic module loading in order to swap modules at runtime to work around the 640k memory limitation of DOS.

Files that used to be visible are now hidden in Mavericks 10.9.1. How can I change the setting to view the same files as before? I do not need the hidden files that are typically invisible.
I am having trouble locating such files as PDF's INDD, AI etc. When I view all hidden files and try to open it in the program..it looks like it is really not on the drive. Has anyone come across a solution?You may need to rebuild permissions on your user account. To do this,boot to your Recovery partition (holding down the Command and R keys while booting) and open Terminal from the Utilities menu. In Terminal, type: ‘resetpassword’ (without the ’s), hit return, and select the admin user. You are not going to reset your password. Click on the icon for your Macs hard drive at the top. From the drop down below it select the user account which is having issues. At the bottom of the window, you'll see an area labeled Restore Home Directory Permissions and ACLs. Click the reset button there. The process takes a few minutes. When complete, restart.

Script to search and relink linked image files that were moved?
Good afternoon
My indesign product catalog has links with a lot of different folders around in my hard disk, not a single folder. And to keep my catalog up to date I must package it.
When I move my linked files in my computer because I change the folder structure or do some cleaning, my indd loses track of its linked files. Currently I need to relink one by one.
Therefore I would like to find a script which would scan the hard disk with the all broken links in mind to detect their new location and relink. Yes I am a lazy person.

At least your honest about your laziness.... Here's your reward:
Just a hint, don't select root of your volume, it will loop through every folder in existence, but key to this script is, if you know the general location, select into that folder hierarchy and the script will test for a relative path, otherwise, come back in a few days, and it will be finished.

I built a website for a customer using HTML only, so it would work on any browser, and it works perfectly on everything except ipad safari. I'm loosing information with most of my text numbers - instead of being black they are displaying a 'ghost' image (white) of the numbers.
Is this a memory issue, or cache issue, or something else? I've downloaded iCab and the site works perfectly with it.
Also wondering if I can manually reload/refresh web pages in iPad Safari.
Since most people with iPads will use Safari rather than iCab, I have to tweak this site to work in Safari.Detecting phone numbers and making them clickable is a feature of the browser, and rebuilding your web-site links will not make any difference. Its done when the page is shown in the browser, not when the page is created.

I work for a big company, where we have lots of ODI projects going on... I need to identify every interface that used a specific datastore..... do you guys now a easy way to do this? I am using ODI 10 and its search does not provide this king of information.
ThanksOn the Designer tab, under Models section, you should be able to expand each Datastore you have, and see it's properties. One of those properties is Uses section, where you can see where is it used as source or a target.
