Searching for advice on buying a new camcorder! PLEASE HELP!
I currently have a JVC Everio and it just is way too difficult to get to work with my new iMac. I would like to buy a new, somewhat affordable, camcorder that takes great video of my nine month son AND is easy to download with the basic Apple video processing system. PLEASE HELP!!

i hesitate to make any sort of recommendation on a specific cam as specs change, models are discontinued & replaced. i have always liked & used Sony, but i've had my cams for several years & the features that made them quite workable are no longer offered in most consumer cams by any maker. sorry, but beyond the previous suggestion to look @ Canon, Panasonic, Sony to see what they offer, i can't be more specific. i have noticed that BestBuy doesn't seem to carry as many as they used to & many of them are only available on-line, very similar @ Circuit City. take a look @ their websites, checkout the user reviews & see if they have anything in their brick & mortar stores you can go touch. again, get a MiniDV tape-based cam w/ FireWire=i.Link=IEEE 1394. someone else may have a cam pref to post.

When in sleep mode iPhone 4 loses signal but as soon as its on again it searches and finds signal easily but because of this not getting calls or text msges and because it's searching for signal all the time battery not lasting
Here are some observations and a suggestion.
1) I mentioned before, that the number of views of this discussion forum is fast approaching 100,000. I suppose relative to all iPhones sold that is not a great percentage, but 100,000 still sounds pretty impressive to me. Consider also that many people probably have this same Sim problem and are not viewing this discussion forum because thay do not know it exists. How many people are REALLY experiencing this problem? Who knows. But I suspect it is more that 100,000.
2) To the best of my knowledge, Apple does not consult these forums as a guide to awareness of product performance. It may be company policy, but most of the time when I speak to an Apple employee they seem remarkably unaware of the "Top Stories" in the Apple Discussion Forum. This, despite the fact that my personal experience with customer service at Apple is excellent. So, as much as we of this discussion forum are confident SOMEONE important at Apple is reading all our posts and taking them to heart...I am not so sure.
3) I have been told over and over that the best way to gain Apple's attention regarding a problem is to post a comment on their Feedback Site. One comment about a problem is pretty worthless. 100,000 comments on the same issue, I'm guessing, will really get their attention.
4) Some folks have mentioned a recall to address this problem. Although such a thing is always a possibility, I don't see it happening. Why? When the brakes on a Toyota don't work, or that Toyata starts to accelerate without driver intention...well, that involves human life and the stakes are quite high. For many reasons you would see the automotive industry eventually be forced into a recall program under such a situation. But, a phone APPEARS to not nearly be such a life and death device. Or is it? My daughter's iPhone 4S developed a "SIM FAILURE" on the same day her car broke down in the middle of the very rural area we live at around 10:00 pm. She is 17 years old and was coming home from high school play practice. You can imagine the anxiety I and her mother felt when she did not arrive home on time. She eventually walked about a quarter mile to a house of a stranger and had to ask to use their phone to call us. Now, I am not saying that strangers where I live are not to be trusted. But, in addition to being worried out of my mind, I was not happy that an inoperative iPhone 4S caused my daughter to be put in this situation. My biggest concern now is...when will my daughter's iPhone become inoperative again due to SIM FAILURE?
5) The more folks in this discussion forum who post a comment about this issue in Apple's feedback site the more pressing this issue is going to be perceived by Apple. So, I like others, encourage all of you to do so. If this seems like a lot of effort, I offer you these few sentences below that you could just copy and paste into the feedback site.

I wish to register a strong concern about my iPhone's unpredictable inoperability due to failures somehow associated with it's SIM technology. I would ask you to please give fixing this problem your greatest priority and effort.

Hi All,
I have iMovie HD 6 and am going to buy a new camcorder. I am looking at a Sony HDR SR12 which is a high definition one.
What I wanted to check was that will the footage I shoot be compatible with the iMove HD6 and will I be able to produce dvds that will still play on non high definition TVs.
Also does anyone have any comment on that camcorder or another one that has a hard drive and works well with the Apple machines. I went for Sony as I heard they were compatible.

SteveGet a mini DV camcorder with a firewire output. I own 3 different Sony Hi-Def HDV camcorders that work very well with iMovie and iDVD. Hard drive might seem like a good idea, but mini DV tapes are $2 each at Costco and you can save the footage as long as the tape will last; with hard drive you have to transfer and edit everything you shoot right away to make room to shoot more.
(Just like every digital camera owner has had to delete photos to shoot more photos when the memory card is full)
iDVD does a great job of converting your movie projects to standard def if you edit in HD in iMovie, but remember HD takes up about 4 times the hard drive space, so be sure to have lots of hard drive available to capture and edit (WD 1 Terabyte $199 @ Costco)
With Toast 9 you can actually burn Hi-Def DVDs that will play on a Blu-Ray player, but you are limited to about a half hour, or an hour if you use a dual-layer DVD.

You got ripped off. You bought a hacked/jailbroken phone. That's what error 1015 means. Return it and get your money back if possible and buy a phone from a legitimate source.
Discussing jailbroken / hacked phones is forbidden by the terms of service. Jailbreaking / hacking voids any warranty and forfeits your right to support here or from Apple. You can not get help here. -
I'm looking to buy a new camcorder. One of the main jobs I want to use it for is filming football games from the sidelines, so something that can capture fast-moving action and run for a long time would be great. I've heard that Hard Drive cameras won't work with the setup that I have, so I guess I'm mainly looking for a good Mini-DV camera.
My specs are:

Note that the DV Terminal described as IEEE1394 (4 pin) is what the rest of us calls Firewire, which is what you want! -

The Restrictions passcode is part of the backup, so you would not want to restore from backup. To restore as new, just connect the phone to the computer and iTunes, and restore. If you cannot just click on restore, you may need to put the device into recovery mode. Search for infomation on that.

That Apple ID is stored inside those applications. Leave them as is and ask your friend to do the updating.

Hi, I am getting an error "No Organizational data exits for the item" while trying to create shopping cart with limit item. Can we create limit item in Extended classic scenario? Do we need to set up anything for that in attributes? Do we need to act
