hi there...
are there any n78 back covers for sale? like a casing of sorts? My n78 backcover's full of scratches already and i want to replace it. i searched in the internet but i cant find any. and i want original nokia covers...i hate those imitators, specially from china
any suggestions?

Help!! I recently erased my settings and after backing up via iCloud, I cannot open some apps. They look as if they are updating, but I cannot delete them. I can open them if I go through the app store and search for the app and click "open." what do I do

I can't seem to figure out why I can't delete and redownload my apps. I'm very confused. I've tried turning my phone on and off, and doing a soft reset.

Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

My search bar is messed up after update. I want the old drop down menu back. I can't search for anything now. Firefox is absolutely useless to me now.

Firefox software update appeared. I allowed it to be installed. It screwed up the search bar/box. I use to be able to click on the magnifying glass icon and ALL the search engine options would appear and I could easily chose one. It was easy. Now nothing. I cannot search anything through Firefox. Firefox is useless to me now, which means I have no computer. Do I have to go out and spend another $1000 to get a new computer? This is not right. You should not do this to a person. Not everybody is technically advanced as some of you are. Now I have no means of searching for anything using Firefox. I really liked Firefox. Now your software update messed me all up. So what am I supposed to do???????????????? IE is worthless. Not safe, not secure, can't trust it. Never works right. Can't even print out correctly. Firefox update should not have messed up my computer. I need to make searches and now I can't. I mean it, it really is not right. Help, recently my hard drive failed so I put in the original that came with my mac back in. ( I have a lot of music and the old HD was too small). It was replaced with a Samsung HM640JJ Spinpoint drive . Now i have to search for my music b4 i can play it

I tried to restore from time machine, but there was not enough space to load all my music and aplications. I tried to convert it to mp3 now I have bitrates of 128,160,and 1141kbs. If I try to play a song in the Itunes I get the song could not be used because the original could not be found, would you like to search for it. Will I have to do this for the remaining 7400songs?

yes. i would ALWAYS let iTunes do the moving lest it loses track of where the files are stored.

also, when I've done that, and have everything on the external hard drive, I can go clean up all the music files still left on my computer.... then I press option and drag everything back to itunes? what will that do for me?
as i mentioned, this will make iTunes reference the path to the original location (your external HD) but will not copy the files physically.
and how will I be able to work with my music and update it after that?
you mount the external HD before launching iTunes. now you can do whatever as if the files where on your startup disk.

I have lost my 'music, mail, safari and phone' icons and i cant get them back alothough i can still find them when i search for them in the search bar.

my 'music, mail, safari and phone' icons have gone from my home screen and the rest of my apps have spread out only show 16 on a page (instead of 20) i have no idea how to get them back and have tried resetting home screen which did nothing. i can get onto these applications but i have to search for them in the search screen. can anyone help me get these icons back? if so please help

this just rearanges the icons in the same order but with the screen still set up with only 16 icons an the bottom 4 (muisc mail...) missing are there any other ways i can get them back?

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like the iPhone is searchiong for a network. It looks like you have already done some troubleshooting. There are a few steps listed in this article you did not mention trying, they may be able to help the issue.

I found the answer just after posted this. Thanks to a user named CloudWalker. Solution is to go in AppStore, View Account under "Store" Menu and unhide any purchases.

Thanks. So there's no means of knowing whether a text message has been delivered, not to mention time of delivery. Perhaps I've gone for the wrong phone. It might do a lot but seems to miss out on some basics.

The change between Firefox 3.6.* and Firefox 4 is how location bar search works. In Firefox 3.6 it uses Google "Browse by name" search. With the browse by name search, it performs a Google search and if there is a clear match it will take you to the site, otherwise it shows the Google search result. With Firefox 4 it just performs a Google search if you type something which is not recognised as a URL.
To get the Firefox 3.6 behaviour on Firefox 4 you need to change a hidden preference.

Time machine for iPhoto restore keeps searching - never comes back

I need to restore to a previous time machine backup but when I go into iPhoto to try to look at the backups, it keeps saying searching for photos (I can use the date bar on the right but it never loads - waited 10 hours and still no load). I do have a lot of photos 38 thousand of them.
What can I do to fix this?

If you want to restore the entire library enter Time Machine while viewing the contents of your Pictures folder in the Finder. Then select the library you want to restore and bring it back. If you have room on your boot drive select the option to keep both just in case the restored version isn't what you expected.

Unfortunately, you cannot view them and I would not recommend to only store your photos via iCloud, because iCloud will only do a backup of your device including the photos that you have currently stored in your Camera Roll. I would recommend to store them (manually or via Photo Stream) on Mac/PC or with another cloud storage service like Dropbox.

That's not the way wifi works.
You may see the other networks but you are not connected to them in any way.

Put your search terms in the combined URL and search bar at the top of the browser (exactly the same as you do in most modern desktop browsers such as Chrome, Safari, Explorer). There is no separate search box, just use the box where you enter web addresses.
And no, you cannot downgrade.
