Searching for SAP DB 7.2.4

Hai,
i´m searching for the installation of SAP DB 7.2.4.
We want to extract the data of a 7.2.4 database.
Before we want to do this, we want to check a backup on a different server.
Can somebody tell me, how to get this installation-files?
Is it even possible?

Wow - this is sooo outdated, I doubt that it would even install on todays operating system versions...
Anyhow, as a SAP customer you may open a support call to get this old version delivered.

Hmm... taking backups and testing the restore is always a good idea, no question about that.
But usually exporting data from a database does not remove the data inside the database.
Actually what's called "export" is in fact a "copy to outside of the database".
So the database content remains unchanged.
Can somebody tell me, how to get this installation-files?
For non-sap customers: no bloody idea!
Is it even possible?
What? the export? Getting the installation files?

Search for SAP notes is very poor

I find the "Search for SAP notes" functionality very poor
I was searching for a setting from a web.xml file
<param-name>SMTPFrom</param-name>
   in application area BOJ* and it came up with nothing
I even searched for
SMTPFrom
   and it still came up with nothing
but if I searched for
email from
then it came up with note number 1308076 which has an extract from the web.xml file I was interested in and even had the very line I searched for but it failed to find
is this very poor search functionality or am I doing something wrong?

I need a few tries to find a note too.
Especially the "Did you mean: ..." function is not working very well.
For example this one. I searched for "registered serverprogram" and it didn´t find anything.
But there was: "Did you mean: registered serverprogrammmmmmmmmm"

Searching for SAP notes about Payment method

I have a problem with Payment method in F110. It shows error FZ/390 but eveything is correct in FBPZ.
For the same currency, same payment method and same bank there is no problem and for others it shows that error.
As we version installed is old, I would like to see whether there is a SAP note related to payment method but I can't find the list of SAP notes related to Payment on this website since it changed.
Can someone help me ?

The error comes from customizing where assignment with house bank and
a payment method is made.
Please go to Tcd:FBZP -> Bank determination
1) Choose company code
2) Ranking order : Make sure you have currency + payment method
    assigned for house bank you intend to use.
3) Bank accounts : Make sure that you have payment method assigned
    for currency /house bank/accountID/Bank subaccount.
4) Available amounts : Make sure that 'available for outgoing payment'
    is filled for house bank/account ID from (3) and currency.
Furthermore: please run again transaction FBZP   > PAYMENT METHOD IN COUNTRY   >
> double click on Your payment method
and check if You switched on the flag on:
x Street, PO box, P.O. box pst code <
x Bank details
now please run FK03 for Your vendor    > address
and check Street, PO box and P.O box pst code that You have to fill
After these activities please delete and re-run the proposal again.

therere lot of things involve like Herere scenarios
-Ask your functional person why its not coming
-Was it coming before?
-You made some changes in Configuration ?
-Did you apply some recent patches ...
-You can see the patches and level in tr.SPAM
-find OSS notes based on your path level. Sort->date->descending

Refining the search for notes

Hello,
I normally get a lot of irrelevant notes, when I search for notes on service market place.
Is it possible to make a detailed search for SAP Notes so that you get a list returning all notes in a service pack? The search criterias should be e.g. version of SAP and current service pack level.

Click on the support package name, a window will pop up where you get all notes, that are contained in the SP.

If you are wanting to know how to configure ESSO to be used to logon to SAP applications then there is a guide in the helpfile of the admin console. Simply do a search for SAP.
In short ESSO-LM comes with a SAP helper object which needs to be selected on install. To enable the ESSO SAP helper to interact with SAP, the SAP server and the SAPGUI client need to be configured. The details for this are in the helpfile. If you have multiple SAP systems launched from the SAPGUI then this is the best method because it means ESSO can distinguish between the different SAP systems through matching screens
If you have only one SAP system and you do not want to configure the SAP server then you could use send keys and not use the SAP helper object at all.

Hi Shravan,
Normally system throws up an error when it reaches the threshold point. Normally the threshold / critical points are arrived at by considering the SAP recommended values and what is the sytem configuration you have got.
In true project scenario because of budget constraints we might not be able to have ideal system configuration which SAP recommends , in that case we have to tune to the system perform at an optimum level considering various aspects
In yr case memory parameters should have been set at level , but for yr job it needed more memory which it could not allocate and throwed an error.

This is a fresh development for my current customer which is not yet completely tested. The last customer had the same requirement, created an OSS-message for it, SAP told him in standard it is not possible and gave up. I think I already heard that too many selection parameters are not supported but I haven't seen it yet in our project. But I have seen that with mabye 100000 excluded transactions there is a time out.
The alternative would be to create a sub-class of the GENIL-class (I think this is CL_CRM_QOPP_RUN_BTIL in your case - search for CL*OPP*IL* ) where the SQL-statement is triggered and redefine the relevant method (which is normally GET_DYNAMIC_QUERY_RESULT) and enhance the SQL-statement. Somewhere is customizing you have to replace the original class with the new class afterwards but right now I don't know where. I have not yet done this from scratch and I need to investigate this a little bit further.
The second alternative would be to modify the select statements in a BADI. I guess it is CRM_BADI_RF_Q1O_READ. But there I only the the possibility to change the STATUS_COMMON-criteria to OBJECT_ID criterias as still STATUS_COMMON NE is not supported in the SQL-statement of the GENIL-class.

Is there a way to search for a string in all Z SAP scripts, like ABAP source scan?

Try using function module "READ_FORM" (you will have to write a simple z-program to find all SAPscripts in your system then use this function module to search the SAPScript Forms for a particular string).
All you have to do is supply the "FORM" name and it will return all of the Pages, Paragraphs, and Texts etc....
More specifically, try looping at the "FORM_LINES" internal table result and you will see the SAPScript text there....
