Searching iCloud calendars

Hi guys,
All my calendars are on iCloud. I can't seem to search events for keywords. Blank search results pop up. Any thoughts?
Thanks

  • Is Searching iCloud Calendar Possible?

I love how you can look at your iCloud calendars via a web browser in addition to your iOS devices (iPhone 5/ iPad / etc.)...but perhaps I am overlooking something in the interface...but I cannot seem to do a simple search of your calendar in ANY WAY?
I have converted ALL my Google calendars over to iCloud calendars since Google is slowly eliminating functionality like Exchange ActiveSync...which starts affecting how calendars appear.  My wife and I use multiple calendars that we share and love how the iCloud calendars work on our iPhone 5 devices...but I also love being able to access our same calendars via a browser on a PC (Chrome/iE/Safari)...but I seemed to have gone backwards in an important way - I don' see any search function.
I have tried all three browsers (Chrome, iE, Safari) and it does not behave any differently.
Am I mistaken or is this simply something Apple overlooked?  If Apple did overlook this feature...is there plans to add it and if so - when?
Thanks for any feedback any of you may provide on this subject.

Using Mac Calendar and iPhone calendar app searches used to work for me in lieu of having a search app in iCloud calendar, but since upgrading to Yosemite my late-2009 iMac's desktop calendar is in a more-or-less constant state of freeze / crash (locks up from 5 to 15 minutes every time I click on the program), displays all the calendars even those that are supposedly hidden, and not all the information from iCloud shows up on my phone (although it does show up on the desktop Calendar for some reason), so I have exactly zero ways left to search. The only thing I can use Calendar for now is to do everything on iCloud or phone then once a day I open the desktop version but only if I need to print (it shows everything from iCloud and the phone and I can turn off calendars I don't want to see, but only from the print menu), and printing now takes 1/2 hour or longer whereas it used to only take maybe less than a minute. I had hoped that OS X 10.10.1 would solve this, but it hasn't, nor has adding an extra 8gb SDRAMM, resetting PRAM, resetting permissions, using Disk Utility to analyze and repair the disk, rebooting, reinstalling Yosemite or anything else that has been suggested to me. The only suggestion I haven't tried yet is a blank install of Yosemite because it would take too long to reinstall everything after wiping the hard drive and I am not sure I remember all my product info for every program on the computer. The 10.10.1 patch solved my stability problems with preview, safari, iPhoto, and my third party software seems to work okay, at least the ones I've used since the "upgrade" to Yosemite. My suggestion is that if you need to use the desktop calendar, stick with Mavericks and wait for Apple to send a patch specific to the calendar problems. Once they get the Calendar bugs worked out, I think it will be a pretty good OS X, although it still freezes more than Lion did (Mavericks had problems for me but not the Calendar).

  • Why can't I search icloud calendar

I can search mail, contacts, notes, and reminders.
Why, for the love of god, can I not search calendar?!!
    Simon

You're welcome.  If you entered new events for next week that don't appear on your iPad, they were probably entered on a non-iCloud calendar.  If you have now set the default calendar to be your iCloud calendar on your phone, you will have to re-enter the events on your iCloud calendar and delete them from the non-iCloud calendar to get them on your iCloud calendar and not see duplicate events on your phone.  (There isn't a way to move them from one calendar to the other.)

How do I search iCloud appointments in the past on the PC or iPad or iPhone?
I can't find how to search on the PC
The iPad/iPhone iClould calendar search does not go into the past appointments

So, you're not really asking how to search contacts notes on the device. You just came to tell us you switched to to the S4.
    Good luck!

  • Can you sync an iCloud calendar to a Google calendar?

Hi all. I have searched the forum for an answer to my question but haven't found one. Lots of variations though!
I have an iCloud calendar that I set up on my MacBook.  I can access the calendar on my iPad, iPhone etc and all is good.  I have shared this calendar with some friends who also use iOS devices.  They can access the calendar via there iOS devices and all is working well.
What I need to do is share the calendar with friends/colleagues who are not Apple users. I don't want these individual to have edits rights, I only want them to view only.  From going through the forum it seems that with previous verisons of OS X you used to be able to publish a calendar to a webpage. This would be ideal for me!! However it seems that with current version of OS X you cant do this, or not with iCloud calendars anyway? Maybe I am wrong here?
Anyway, I thought that a workaround could be that I could sync the calendar with a Google calendar and then publish the Google calendar online and just share the URL with my friends/colleagues who need to see the information.  However I don't know if this is possible.
If you are reading and know a simpler way of of achieving this then I would love to hear from you.  Basically I have an iCloud calendar that I want to make accessible to lots of people, ideally through a webpage or URL.
    Thanks in advance.

  • After installing iCloud on PC, appointments are grayed out in my Outlook iCloud calendar; don't show up on iPad calendar but do show up on iPhone calendar

I have been working on this issue for DAYS and have searched the web and this support community but can find no answers.  I have a PC, iPad, and iPhone.  I installed iCloud on my PC so that I could sync calendars, contacts, and maybe tasks.  Nothing I have tried has worked.
The iCloud calendar that appeared alongside my Outlook calendar on my PC has all of my Outlook appointments - but they are all grayed out.
The appointments that were on both my iPhone and my Outlook calendar are now grayed out on my Outlook calendar - but if I close my iCloud calendar in Outlook, these appointments are no longer grayed out.  These appointments now appear twice on my iPhone.
The appointments in my Outlook calendar appear in my iPhone calendar but do not show up in iCloud in my web browser nor on my iPad (not even grayed out).
My contacts appear to have synced from Outlook to iPhone - but have not synced with iCloud online nor my iPad.
    This is beyond frustrating.
    Some basics:
    Windows 7 Enterprise, 32 bit
    Outlook 10
iCloud is enabled on the iPhone and iPad
phone and pad operating systems are up to date
I turned off and then restarted my iPad - didn't work
I turned off and then restarted my PC - didn't work
I uninstalled and then reinstalled iCloud on my PC - didn't work

I'm having the identical events...Outlook calendar entries grayed out on my PC installed iCloud and absent on my iPhone. iPhone entries do show up in Outlook.

  • Why don't changes I make to calendar on iPhone appear on iCal or iCloud calendar?

Objective: make changes to calendar on iPhone (iOS 5.0.1), iPad (iOS 5.0.1), iCal (on MAC with 10.7.3) that automatically sync with each other through iCloud.
I had a MobleMe account and moved to iCloud. However, when I make changes to my calendar on iPhone or iPad they do not appear in iCal on MAC or on iCloud calendar.
As an aside, when I make changes to iCal or on iCloud they do appear on iPhone if I connect it to iTunes.
Ive been searching through forums and trying different things all day & still can't figure it out.

  • Recovering Deleted iCloud Calendars

I accidentally deleted my iCloud Home and Work calendars in Outlook on my work PC.  I honestly had not thought that it would delete them from iCloud and not just Outlook.  My mistake.  I tried to restore them by searching for "calendars" in Spotlight on my Macbook.  I found the file, but when I opened it, there was still no data.  So, I deleted everything from my iPhone and restored it from a week-old backup.  It brought back my calendars, along with the lost apps and other headaches associated with a restore.  And now, I assume through the iCloud sync, the calendars are gone again!  What can I do to avoid another restore from backup and keep my calendars?

    Hi there
I used the tool suggested at the previous post and managed to recover my deleted calendar from my last iTunes backup.

Thing is the file I got is a calendar.html file !
How can I import this file to my iPhone ?

  • Appointments emailed from iCloud calendar in Outlook are not received on IOS device using exchange calendar.

I email tons of appointment invitations from my iCloud calendar in Outlook.  Appointments synch to IOS devices and are on icloud.com.  People receive invitations in Outlook and on IOS devices.  My husband runs IOS devices with exchange calendars.  He never receives the appointment invitations.  All of the appointment invitations are on his iCloud.com account.  Can he synch to both exchange and iCloud?  WIll this allow him to see the invitations I send that are hung up in iCloud?

I have no more calendar synchronization with iCloud. when accessing to icloud account I cannot add an event on icloud calendar the message is :"server error"; any help?

Tap the little claendar icon at the top left (next to the search icon) and see what calendars are set up in WeekCal.  If none are enabled, then enable the one(s) you want to use.

  • Miss these functions on iCloud calendar

    1. Delete duplicate events
    2. Search events
    3. Numbered weeks
    4. Font size adjust

You can subscribe to week number calendars - look in Apple's calendars list.
As to the other facilities, they are all provided by Busycal, which is like 'iCal Pro' - it looks much like iCal on Snow Leopard but has many more facilities, including the ones you ask for. It's available from their website or in the Mac App Store.
Of course this applies only to the calendar application on your Mac: BusyCal will sync with the iCloud calendar, but the online iCloud calendar is what it is and is not configurable.
