Can i search a particular Text in preview windows like in Seagate Crystal Report provide us. if so one knows solution of this problem plz tell me?

We need to Export report to Text like Crystal Report Designer Export using JRC. Is this possible? I see export ReportExportFormat CSV, PDF and RTF only. These exports are working, But I need plain text that looks like Text export of Crystal Reports Designer. I see this working in RAS 2008. What I can do to get this with JRC. I am trying to install Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2. I get the error bellow (Database Services Engine Failed, SQL Server Replication Failed, Full Text Search Failed, Reporting Services Failed). I already have a copy of SQL Server 2008 R2 on the machine.

If you see error descriptioon it gives access denied so basically it is because of some access issue.I guess You must be using some domin account for installation make sure it is added as local administrator also instead of using NT Authority network
service as SQL server service account use local system account .

Error in Reporting Facility of KM

Hi All,
I am trying to use the reporting facility of KM.
Under Content Management -> Reports
there are various reporting tools like Approval Maintenance,Link consistency,Resource Statistics, Time based publishing.
I tried all the reporting tools.
<b>The issue is inspite of setting all the necessary parameters, i get no result..</b>
Yet another case is:
For example,in Resource Statistics report
Even after specifying all the parameters like
1. Location
2. Created by , Modified by etc..
I am able to see the found items result as "0".
However the report gives me overall details like
Duration:00:00:01
Found Items : 0
Folder Count:59
File count :109
Overall Size:49 MB
But no items are listed in the Found Items table below.

Hi Venkat,
the reports will only report items that are matching the report purpose. For example the link consistency report will only list links that are invalid. The resource statistics report did give you statistics about the documents that were processed. Maybe this report does never list single items.
I propose to use some test data that should match the reports purposes.

Formatted Search on Report Parameter

Hi Experts,
I've 5 reports that I build using Crystal Report 2008 for SAP B1. All of them will ask for parameter input. And for the parameter value input user will be helped by formatted search. What confused me is that when I set formatted search for a report, another reports formatted search value will also get change. For example I have 3 reports, A B and C.
A has 3 parameters: date from, date to and warehouse code
B has 4 parameters: as of date, warehouse code, item code and branch
C has 3 parameters: as of date, item code, division
When I update the formatted search for report B (No query, Warehouse, Item, Branch), then report A and C parameters will also follow those changes. So everytime I run the different report I've to reset the formatted search that will be user input in the report.
Can anyone give me suggestion how to solve this problem so the formatted search attached to each parameter won't change?

I am using SAP token. This is the detail. I need an input of card code of customer to see detail report of the code chosen, but the input can also be typed by user. and they can type 0 so they can see detail report of all code. At first I think I can use formatted search but the problem is the query I use in each parameter keep on changing, following the last change I do to another report. (as I explain in my first post). Is there any suggestion??

Need to create link to Word Doc in blob column in search results report

I got the Oracle Text boolean search of word documents in a blob column of a table working.
Now I need to be able to create a link in the results report.
I know that Oracle creates a link for each document in the column when you attach a file, I just need to know what the link should be to allow users to open the document in the search results report.
Right now the application is set to do a search in the attached word documents, and in the results window it shows the names of the people who match the search, but it won't allow me to create a link to their resume in the results report.
the name of the table is CONTRACTOR_LIST and the blob column is RESUME.
How would you go about creating a simple link to the word file in the results window?
Here is the code for the query
select score(1) relevance, Name, Resume
from contractor_list
where CONTAINS (resume, :P1_SEARCH, 1) > 0
order by 1 desc
That works, but I can't get it to link to the resume file.
Here is the code I'm using for the link

It is within the table I believe (I'm not a DBA or a developer) since I created a BLOB column and then used the file browse feature to allow users to attach a resume to the table in order to be able to perform a search of the attached documents.
I'm just having a hard time pointing the link in the search results report to the document in the blob column.
The information on that page is great if you're trying to create a link to the document on the initial report.
But I created a query using Oracle Text to run a report that does a boolean search of the attached word documents in the table.
When it displays the search results, it doesn't create a link to the document and I can't figure out how to do it.
Here's a link the the instructions I used to create the initial search report with Oracle Text, mind you I only created the index and query, I didn't add in all the link data since they're using documents on websites and I'm using documents in a table.

i am running an FAST for Sharepoint 2010 for development purpose. I can index DOCX files successfully, but for XLSX files i get the following error:
"The FAST Search backend reported warnings when processing the item. ( Document conversion failed: LoadIFilter() failed: No IFilter registered for the extension '.xlsx' (0x80004005)"
What is wrong here?

Bug Report Facility on OS X, Downloads Folder Bug?

Hi. I think there should be a reporting system in OS X built-in. They should maybe convert the Report bug on Safari into a suggestions and bugs reporting facility because Safari is usually the most common app that's open all the time. It's inconvenient to do so to go to Apple's suggetions and bugs reporting page in their website.
Also, when you go to the Downloads folder and put it on Arrange by Kind, some of the files on each category are not grouped properly (.dmg for example), they're separated. It also doesn't delete right away when you use Cmd-Delete, you have to do it more than once sometimes.
I hope the next update will have fixed most of the quirks.

What is your definition of "more efficiently"? If it's limitation of search results, branded search, and limitation of styling your results then google search is more efficient. Real developers rely on their own developments. For example: how can google search display results from a password-protected site? They can't.

Is there any "Search and Replace" option in Crystal Reports?

Is there any option to search and replace in Crystal Reports. Since i am using a name in many of the formulas in crystal reports. I need to replace with the desired name on the go.

Search & Replace across formulas is not available in CR XI but is available in CR 2008. Here is an excerpt from the CR 2008 Users Guide:
Searching for formula text
You can use the Find dialog box to carry out a number of different activities:

Search or Report on the CVE ID using SCUP 2011 and SCCM 2012.

I am in the process of deploying SCCM 2012 on a single server since we have a small environment, as a Primary Site Server. The SQL databases are located on a separate SQL 2008 cluster. I also have SCUP 2011 installed on the SCCM 2012 server.
I am starting to use SCUP as the facilitator to publish 3rd party patches into SCCM and I would like to be able to report on the CVE number that an update has. I know that not all updates have a CVE and that microsoft updates usually publish this in
the MSID article.
My question is if there is anyway to report on this CVE code from within System Center Configuration Manager? If the data is in the xml file in SCUP and I can read it there, does that information get discarded when published to SCCM or does it remain
with the update but hidden in the SQL DB? If it is hidden, I'm sure we can report on it but I would like to know if anyone else is pursuing this or had any other ideas for reporting on the CVE or searching for the CVE in SCCM 2012?

Yes, I know this is an old post, but I’m trying to clean them up. Did you solve this problem, if so what was the solution?
To my knowledge nothing was added to R2 that would give you the CVE. I think this can be done as a custom solution but it would take a while to do the R&D and write the solution.
