i am new to iphone development i am making app where i am supposed to search no of iphones having active wifi connections and each by different identity
and pc has wifi enable not internet.
similar to like searching bluetooth devices with different identities or names we can say.

There are alternatives ways to call without cell service, but for straight calling from the app does require it.
For calling, if you use an app like Talkatone as it can call over VoIP.
Or if you're tech savvy, connect an Asterisk server to GV
But for the in-a-pinch calls, get the MagicJack FreeCall app. You can call any US/Canada number for free and the quality is surprisingly good over 3G.

You can only use Find My iPhone for accounts that you can log into. If you and your neighbor have different IDs and you only know your ID, than you can only track devices attached to your account.

if my iphone is connected to a wifi network while acting as a hotspot, does the iphone use the cellular network or the wifi to which it is connected to provide the internet access? i ask because my laptop has an issue where it can't connect to my home wifi network.

The hotspot is for connecting devices using wifi or blutooth to the internet using yoru wifi cell data.

Office 2010 Windows 7, Notes not syncing with iPhone 5 using WiFi

My Notes on my iPhone 5 will not sync to/from Outlook 2010 on Windows 7 using WiFi. Works only on USB cable Using itunes 11.2.2.3
Do not want to use iCloud, except for Find My iPhone.

Update: I reset settings on the phone, then synced with no results. Then, I wiped all the music from the phone, then resynced with my selected music. This time it all synced. I am not sure which step fixed the problem, but it appears to be fixed for now.

How do you play music from a playlist on an iPhone without using WiFi and iCloud?

I travel in a RV and frequently park in campgrounds that do not have WiFi. I've been told I can copy iTunes playlists (selected from my copied CDs on my Mac) onto my iPhone 5S. I can then, using a mini stereo jack go from the output on the iPhone to the aux input on my DVD player and thereby play my playlists of copied CD music on my RV sound system. All well and good except I tried my Music app on my iPhone and could not find a play function. I found the iTunes Radio but that only seemed to work with a WiFi connection. What am I missing?
As you can tell, I am not experienced with the iPhone although I've used a Mac for years. Is there a basic tutorial on how to accomplish my stated task or at least use the basic music function? I've tried to find something on the Apple website but haven't been able to find anything yet.

Those 2 playlists were a total of 498 songs. I have just been using the default rate when I load a CD and click on import into iTunes. Is there a better way? My second 2 playlists have about 330 songs plus about another 20 I'm going to load today and then stop and see about syncing them on my iPhone as well. I've gotten about half of my CDs imported. This is obviously a do-as-you-get-time task that will take quite a while. Not so much importing the CD, but listening to at least a couple bars of each song to see which I want to put on a playlist.

Cannot ePrint from iPhone when using wifi

I have a D110 HP printer. We have two iPhones. One works fine for ePrinting when sending e-mail by either wifi or 3G (this phone has yahoo mail account). The second phone works fine if we send e-mail using 3G, but not when we send it via wifi. The second phone has an e-mail account through our local roadrunner provider. By the way, that account does not seem to send outgoing e-mail using the roadrunner smtp server (for any outgoing e-mail -- eprinting and everything else). It looks like it uses our alternate outgoing server (AT&T).
We have told our printer to accept jobs from any e-mail address, but that does not solve the problem. The e-mails sent by iPhone #2 are not ejected, but do not show up on our ePrint account.
This is so frustrating. Any suggestions?

I found the answer to my own problem.
I just discovered the following:
AT&T “cwmx.com” and “smtp.mymmode.com” outgoing SMTP servers only work through the AT&T wireless network and not over WI-FI.
Who knew? Not me! Maybe I'll look elsewhere to see how I can send e-mail messages from my Roadrunner e-mail account from my 3Gs iPhone using Wi-Fi.
I just found a post another site where someone had the same problem. They described it this way:
My broadband cable company (Insight in Columbus OH) will not allow me to send email (smtp) outside their network. I currently have my iPhone set to use Yahoo for sending but I don't like the advertisement Yahoo puts at the bottom. Does AT&T offer a smtp server to send mail from the iPhone?
EDIT: PS I'm looking for a FREE smtp server........I already pay plenty for broadband service and cell phone service!

IPhone Texting using wifi only?

I am travelling to Costa Rica and I dont want to miss any texts on my iPhone. Is there an app or service that will allow me to send and receive my texts via wifi only on my iPhone? I am on Verizon network.

How do I know if my iPhone is using wifi or cell data?

You will see the wifi bars at the top left of your phone, it will be on every screen .
No wifi bars you are on cellular.

It will always use WiFi if available. If the phone goes to sleep it drops the WiFi connection unless you plug it in to power. Have you checked to see which app is using the cell data?

Report it to the police. If you've freezed the phone through your telecoms company, surely you wouldn't be able to call the phone anyway?
Use Find My iPhone to send a message through to the phone with an alternative number you can be contacted on, and hope for the best.

If you are missing using google maps - try the Nokia map app called "here"

go to itunes preferences, store, uncheck automatic downloads. also when your phone is connected you can click on apps and only check the ones you want on your phone, go down to the bottom right and click apply.
