Searching iTunes video store

I'm not sure if this is a question for iMovie or iTunes, but I can't figure out how to search for titles in the video store. I've purchased video from there before but I have lost the link to the desired item of interest. Apple has a lot of work to do on their web site. If it's difficult for me it's difficult for lots of people.

Can you search for videos in the iTunes store?

When I go to the music videos section of the iTunes store, it looks like I can only search through a long list. Is there any way to search for a specific music video in the iTunes Store?

Select iTunes music store on the left side of the iTunes window. You will see a search field.
Type in the name of the music video there, then press Return or Enter on your keyboard.

I can't search any videos on YouTube/Download any app from the App Store

Hi,
I am using movistar 3G network (Spain), full signal. Everything works fine, Stock app, Weather app, Mail, Safari... but I can't search for any videos on YouTube and can't download any app from the App Store.
I can see videos on YouTube app but only the featured videos, when I try to search the ones I want to see I get an error message "Cannot connect to YouTube".
The only problem is when searching videos on YouTube app.
When I try to download an app from the App Store I get a similar error message, "The download can´t be done, connect to iTunes" more or less, that's the sense of the message.
I can connect to the AppStore, surf it but when I press Install... I get the error message.
I know that my carrier, movistar (Spain) has an issue with secure webs (https), it's impossible to surf any secure web by now but I don´t know if this is related with my problems.
This happens with 2.1 and 2.2 firmware version.
I have the iPhone set in spanish from Spain and the time is right. By the way, using WiFi everything works fine, everything, I can search for videos on YouTube app and download apps from the AppStore.
I don´t know what more can I do, can someone help me? please. = (

FWIW, the only part of Java not installed is the Java Runtime Environment. Launch the Java Preferences.app in /Utilities and DL it when prompted. Then, enable plugins and Web Start apps.

Videos on itunes music store

hi, i have an acc on itunes music store and i can logg in but i have a small question i'd like to download movies from the store cuz i read tthat that was possible somewhere but i can't find them where can i find the movies in the store?

if you want uk tv shows check out www.uknova.com (you will need to be registered which is free but they only allow so manny members at a time so keep trying if you cant get one straight away)
for american tv and movies check out www.isohunt.com
for both of these sites you download a torrent file which you open in a program called azureus (search for in google download and install)
then once you open the torrent file in azureus you can select where you want to download and away you go
make sure there is at least one seed (the S coll) or it will be unlikely you will get 100% of the download

ITunes, App Store and Bing results in Spotlight Search?

Hi there
iOS 8 was supposed to bring new levels of richness to Spotlight search results on iOS, including iTunes, App Store and Bing results (amongst others?). But none of my iOS 8 devices are showing me these results in Spotlight searches. I'm looking at an iPad Mini with Retina Display, iPhone 5, iPhone 6 and an iPad Air here, none of which are showing results any different to iOS 7.
What gives here? Are these features limited to certain geographic locations? I'm in Denmark, for what it's worth.

App Store Searches vs. iTunes App Store searches

Why do searches suck so bad on the App Store and return COMPLETELY different results than searches on the iTunes App store? Not only that, they don't even return a tenth of the apps available!

hmm, so the mac app store is different than the itunes app store and not synced with each other? that explains a lot, thank you!
maybe they should name it something different?
or explain better that it has nothing to do with iTunes App Store, and that these apps are not for any ipod/itouch/ipad device, and strictly for the computer?

ITunes Music Store Search ERROR?.

Everytime i search for an artist in the search window of iTunes music store i get this error; ???
"iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
I've tried the program repair & running QT stand alone 7.1 & nothing?
Has anyone out there run into this problem?

I'm running version 5.0 & never had a problem until 6/3...
Also, the "power search" does the same thing...

There has been very heavy traffic on the store due to the release of iTunes plus. The error should go away once traffic dies down.

Podcast only turns up in search (not in store front)

Hi there!
I'm really excited that I finally was able to get my video podcast (starslyderz) up and running. iTunes accepted it, and everything should be great, right?
Problem is, nobody will ever SEE my podcast unless they specifically do a search for it.
If you click on the "video podcasts" window in the iTunes store, you see five pages of video podcasts... ours isn't on there. What can I do to be listed on this page? How on earth is anybody going to find the podcast if they don't already know to specifically serach for it??
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Obviously, we want nothing more than to get our podcast out there for people to discover.

Video listings are controlled by the whim of Apple.
It's actually worse than you think becuase the only way people are likely to find your podcast is by searching for the actual name. There are keywords but Apple only displays the most popular for any search you do (unlike searches for music) So even if you have the word 'video' in your name and/or keyword it's unlikely to be found by people searching for video.

How do I create video files in M4V format just like iTunes video clips?

Hello everyone,
I have bought many video clips from iTunes which I like to play when I have invited guests.
Now, as you know, some video clips are not available on iTunes. I do have some music DVDs though and would like to add some video clips from the DVDs to my iTunes library. I converted them to the M4V format. However, the format still seems to be different from the format that iTunes uses for its music video clips. Because when I add a video bought from the iTunes store AND one of my own videos in a playlist, iTunes tells me that it is not usual to mix videos and music in the same playlist.
Does anyone have a suggestion how I can create the same format for the videos I get from my DVDs, so that I can mix them in the same playlist together?

Umm... has anyone pondered a situation for a days if not weeks on end before mustering up the courage to ask for help and then found the solution minutes after asking? Yeah, this is one of those occasions. Weird.
In my defense, the user interface seems a bit obtuse. When you click "Playlists" and then "Create Playlist" at the bottom of the screen you then must click "Dates, "Folders", or "All Videos" to search for videos. The "obtusity" is that it didn't seem intuitive to me that I then had to search in those other headings after I selected to create a playlist. I assumed that the "Create a Playlist" window that then popped up would include all videos in the watched folders. When you see a video you will find that there is a green circle with a plus sign on the upper right corner. Clicking that will add it to the playlist that you are creating. When you're satisfied with the playlist, give it a name and then save it.

I have a 30 GB ipod and want to download some tv programs onto my ipod. I searched in the itunes music store and registered but I can't find the list of tv shows. Just music and podcasts.

Look under "Inside the Music Store" on the left side of the iTMS homepage. "TV Shows" is at the bottom of that section. Clicking that will take you the TV Shows page on the iTMS.

How do I search for video podcasts in the Itunes store?

You could always try a manual ping of the iTMS servers...enter this in your browser's URL field adding your podcast's ID number at the end:

Or this adding your podcast feed's URL at the end:
https://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZFinance.woa/wa/pingPodcast?feedURL=
I know that this is a good way to get the iTMS to refresh your episode listing...not totally sure it will help the keyword issue.

ITunes video re-encoding

Does anyone know if there's a way to re-encode/decript videos purchased from the iTunes music store into other formats that are not protected?

Snapz Pro X can copy the video into quicktime that you can use in any app in Mac, usually creats a larger file size though. Also, must do start and stop like recording analog. Retitle when saving etc. A lot of steps. There is other software that you could do a search through "Downloads" to find that might cut out more of the steps to automate the process better.
