SEARCHING THIS FORUM

I would very like to search this forum.
For example I have I tried recently the terms
WEBUTIL
WUC-20
WUF-201
and found nothing.
What am I doing wrong?
I have tried enclosing in double quotes and doing upper and lower case combinations.

in general thsi shoudl work. We had a problem last week with this forum which may be te reason for your problems.

Search this forum

How do we search this forum? I can't use the search function
anymore and I can't limit my posts by date? Am I to go through
all the listings (1-10) to find what I am looking for?
I am sure this functionality must be here somewhere, I just
can't seem to find it.

You're not alone in this problem - check out the !Feedback
forums where you will find numerous similar comments. I think
Oracle might get the hint and reintroduce a search facility
before too long :-)
Oh - and “Am I to go through all the listings (1-10)”. Don't
want to worry you but there are more that ten pages in this
forum – I estimate about 650 (I got to page 80 yesterday before
giving up)

Disappearing option of Search this forum

There used to be a Search this forum button in the Illustrator forum, but now it has disappeared altogether.
While it was still there, some of us had hopes of its beginning to work again, some day, maybe.
But now it is gone.
What about other forums?
Any hopes left?

Great news.
Some of us "old timers" recall several times, when the older posts got dumped.
There was the aborted forum software issue - forget the dates, where much was lost. Some was saved to an archive, but the thread titles were all gone, so one only had page after page of "Post 15059686776," followed by "Post 15059686777," and so on. After a false start, the old forum was reinstated, but with the loss of the older posts.
Then, there was Jive.
Seems that I am missing a big dump of older posts, and someone will refresh my memory.
Anyway, a lot of us rely on those older posts, even when a product's version number has moved up a few notches.

i want to search for specific topics but don't see any search button on this page... is there a way to do it without scrolling through every page looking for a particular topic?

This forum definitely needs a search feature!
And, my God, there are so many new threads being posted that all the "old" ones (i.e. 2 minutes old) get shoved behind the back pages!

I am sure this forum contains a lot of usefull information in the 3,400 topics posted, possibly even an answer to my recent post. Is there anyway to do a key word search to find a particular topic ??

In the forums page, on the left side there is a Search Forums faciiity which you can make use of. This usually gives me satisfacotry results whenever I am searching for something in particular. There also is a search field available at the top of the page on the right side. Please do let us know if you are having difficulties searching.

How do I search or particular topics in this forum? The onlt search field that I see on my page searches the entire SUN site.

DM uninstall - searched this forum, tried everything!

I have searched everything on this forum and everything I could find on the internet. I am running Vista and I cannot get rid of the stupid DM software. Everytime I log into one of my user accounts (not all) I get an installer notification "The feature you are trying to use is on a CD ROM or other removable disk that is not available. Insert the Blackberry Desktop Software 4.6 disk and click OK." The program does show up in my Windows Installer (DM 4.6) again, only for this one account, but when I try to unistall it, I get the same garbage message.
There are very specific instructions on this forum and many other places, and I think I have tried them all. I have searched the registry and found no evidence of any remnants to this program. I have tried to reinstall the software and unistall again. I have tried every registry cleaner I can find. Still, I get the same message.
I really don't want to reinstall my OS for this stupid application, since other than the annoyance, I see no evidence of another problem. I guess I could grin and bare it, but I don't think I should have to. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Hi and welcome to the forums!
If you have the CD go to add/remove programs in Vista and try to repair the installation.
Be sure to have the full Admin rights. Then we can remove it cleanly.
Did you install Media manager as well? There are some Roxio KB's as well.
I think you want to read KB1720 first the Windows Installer problem.
Otherwise I think the installation was not done with the correct UAC admin rights.

Difficulty searching this forum

Is anyone having difficulty searching for results in this forum? It seems that every time I try to do so, I get the following error:
The page caused an ESI processing exception.
Frustrating because I'm sure that most of the questions that I ask have been asked before. Any fixes or work arounds would be greatly appreciated.

How to search this forum?

Before the recent change to the Apple forums, I could search for something and get a whole lot of results. Now it seems I'm limited to the first three suggestions and then I'm forced to ask a question. Is there something I'm missing?

More specifically, how to get more than 3 search items?

For the past several days everything I search for returns 0 hits, even for common terms I know are there such as "clone" and "levels".

How do you search this forum?

The interface here is maddening. How do i search just the FlashBuilder forum?

If you click the magnifying glass (I know it'll search for "Search Forums") but it'll get you to the right page.
Then under the main search heading you'll see a little green "+" sign with the text "More Options" that will pop down all the forums.
Flash Builder is a sub-forum of "Adobe Labs" (I found if you drag the scroller about half way down you'll get there).
There is a ton of sub forums though, man, I can see how you were frustrated!

What chars should I enter, to search this forum's topics containing #text ?

I could not agree more. One that is easily accessible and obvious to the casual user. Why do I want to look through dreamweaver results when I am working in Flashbuilder ? Not a great example of RIA!
