Searching through notes I added in photoshop

Because of the fact that I want to start a library of photographs with some notes I added in Photoshop. Is it possible to search through the notes I added in Photoshop in Adobe Lightroom.

Unfortunately, LR does not read notes created by the Photoshop Notes Tool.
I did a little investigation, and it appears that these notes are saved in PSDs and TIFFs in a proprietary format, rather than industry standard metadata that could be read by other tools. The only other applications I found that can read the notes is Acrobat and Reader. They can read PDFs created by Photoshop and display the embedded notes, and they can export new notes back into Photoshop, again in proprietary format. I didn't find anyone who had reverse-engineered the format, but perhaps someone else here knows better.
Going forward, if you want tools other than Photoshop to be able to read your annotations, you're better off using industry-standard metadata fields, such as title, caption, or user comment.

I am an engineer on the Reader Mobile team and would like to help fix your issue on behalf of Ankit. From our logs, we see that none of your save requests actually reached the server. I'm assuming this to be a temporary issue on your device. I would like to request you to try one more thing to help resolve this issue at your end.
1. I am going to ask you to sign out of Acrobat.com and sign-in again.
2. However, note that when you sign out of Acrobat.com, any pending changes (save failures in outbox) will be lost. So, to avoid you losing those changes, please save all files in your device using iTunes. Here are the steps:
     a. Connect your device to a computer and launch iTunes.
     b. Select your device and select on Apps
     c. Scroll towards the bottom and under File Sharing, select Adobe Reader
     d. You should see all the files on your device appear on the right side.
     e. Now select all files and click on "Save" below the file list. This will prompt you to save your files on the local disk on the Mac.
3. Once you have saved your files using iTunes, come back to the Adobe Reader app on your device and tap on My Accounts in the left pane.
4. Tap on sign out.
5. Now, sign in again.
6. After signing in, switch to Acrobat.com tab, and open any file from your cloud account.
7. Make some changes and close the document. The document should save without errors.
If you want to bring back your changes from before you signed out, I'll send you a separate email on how to do so.

LR2 does not load images in Photoshop CS3

When I select an image in LR2,than choose "Edit in Photoshop CS3",Photoshop does load,but after that an "Open" dialog box appears,instead of the selected image.Same with "Open as a Smart Object".
Also in LR2,Develope Modul,Camera Profiles I don't see "ACR 4.5",although I did this update.
What I tried:reinstall LR2.Did not work.Reinstall PSCS3 with all updates.
Didn't work either.
My OS system is a Windows XP Professional Edition,SP3.
Please help with a solution for this problem.

Thank you,but it doesn't really work.
I mean,if you saw Scott Kelby's tutorial about Photoshop Integration at http://www.photoshopuser.com/lightroom2/,he opened a raw file as a smart object from LR2 in Photoshop,without making any copy (tiff) of the image.When I try the same,an "Open As" dialog box pops up in Photoshop,wich means I have to search through the folders to "tell" Photoshop wich image I want to open as a smart object.I tried it with tiff and jpeg,but same thing happenned.
The "workaround" way you suggested creates a copy,plus I have to convert the image into a smart object,instead of having LR2 doing it.
So the "Open as a smart object" and the "Edit in Photoshop CS3" commands in LR2 are just pointless this way.

Just to be clear. You have downloaded the Yosemite installer. However you say while it's updating you get the error you are not online. This is confusing since you shouldn't be able to use your computer in the process of updating.
Exactly where do you see you need to 10.9 to get on Safari?

EASY SEARCH THROUGH FRIENDS LIST BY COUNTRY AND OR STATE NOT JUST ALPHABET !

Well my Idea is simple and basic I have almost 3000 friends and sometimes want to search them by area or state instead of alphabet , example if IM in GA I should be able to see all of the friends from that state instead of trudging through each letter to see who lives in the state , it would be helpful quick and convenient to allow users to have more options when searching through there friends list by different criteria such as age gender or most important area or State that would be extremely helpful and cut down on the amount of times I have to sift through my friends , so if IM in NY I can go to my friends list and there will be a list of state that I have friends in I can then click on that and then I can see all of the people that are my friends in that area, that would be awesome. Search through a cluster or clusters in cluster by label-name of a control

is there a function availabe which allows to search through an arbitray cluster by an label-name and if the desired control is found in the cluster, its value should be returned?
E.g:
The function should receive the cluster to be searched and the label-name of the wanted control. The Output should be the value of the control if the label-name was found within the cluster. If the name was not found, there should be a status e.g. -1 at the output uf the function.

I have two general purpose methods in this instance. The first is to utilize LV's XML schema and a little XPath:
The second method utilizes Traversal and is contained in the zip file I have attached. This method is very poorly documented at best (like most scripting). It was a fun experiment.
TraverseCluster.vi specifies the callback VI to be used when a control is encountered during the operation called 'FindControls'. It then calls this traverse operation on the cluster which is based in by reference. The Callback VI is called for all controls in the cluster, if a Label is specified all matching controls are added to the list. If no label is specified, all control references contained in the cluster are returned (including those inside subclusters). You can specify if you only want controls returned and not the clusters. Finally, the Class Operator is removed.
There is an example included to see how it all works.
Traversing is a great tool to have at your disposal if you are a scripter.

IWeb Error: "Your search did not produce any results."

I just updated my iWeb and added the new search and comment features to my iWeb site. I am happy to see these features added but the search feature gives me a page displaying "Your search did not produce any results." Does anyone else have this issue? I am using my .Mac account and did a "Publish all to .Mac" to see if that would help. Comments work great. Can anyone help? Not good to have a feature that does not work.

I am having the same problem and can probably give you an answer as to why the search feature is not working...
Look carefully and you may notice that by re-publishing your site with 1.1, iWeb has converted all text on your site to image files (probably .png). This is what happened when I re-published.
Therefore, there is technically no text to "search" through...
No fix as of yet... I will ttry to republish yet again tonight

Video and/or sound will not show in Adobe Photoshop 12 for m2ts files.

I have just added Adobe Photoshop 12. The m2ts videos will either: 1) not show with a black screen and have video; or 2) will show but have video for only 30 seconds. HELP! I've read the forums, and I've tried everything I could find as suggested. Nothing fixes BOTH issues. I'm ready to return product and go back to 8.0.

Sometimes it pays to munch the video file through the Adobe Media Encoder app, even if it's going to come out in the same format as before. This app is free and gets installed along with Captivate but you can also download it from the Adobe website. It seems to make videos compatible with Captivate.

The message in simple English just means that "You are doing something really bad" !!! It is absolutely not the communication problem, but understanding problem.
Though you may be executing the same function using SE37 or in the webshop application through JCo, the runtime context is different and without knowing what exactly your Z rfc is doing, it is very difficult to help. To start with, the userid - that is who is running the RFC is different in both situations. In SE37, it is the logon user and in the web, depending upon whether the connection is stateless or stateful, it could be the anonymous ICSS user or the logged in user. Here again, if you have used UME, it is the user id and if you have used ALIAS user, then it is the alias user id. This is just an example. Your runtime context can be different due to many other reasons too.
So, to make this simpler - what is that you are trying to do?

Error #2057: The page could not be added to the print job.

I've been making myself crazy over this one. I'm trying to print a complex multi-page "report" in Flex, but I keep getting this error every time I try to call FlexPrintJob.addObject(page):

Here is the basic scenario... I have created a new control I call a PrintVBox that extends the normal VBox control. After adding all of the children properly to the component, I wait for an update event (so that the heights of all the components are calculated) and then I call a custom method I have added to PrintVBox that "paginates" the control.
This pagination method essentially decides how many of the items in the VBox can fix on each page, and splits them up into separate pages. Here's a somewhat graphic example of what happens:

     [ Item 4 ]
     [ Item 5 ]
This single VBox with 5 items, after calling the paginate method becomes something like this:

               [ Item 2 ]
     **** VBox (page 2) ******
               [ Item 3 ]
               [ Item 4 ]
               [ Item 5 ]
So, what was once a single VBox with 5 UIComponents on it is now a VBox that contains two VBoxes, each the exact size of a printable page, one containing the first two items, the other containing the second two items.
In my example that I am working on, my PrintVBox that I have created uses a Repeater to create about 20 HBoxes on the page. I then call
myFlexPrintJob.start()
to show the print dialog and get the user's parameters. I then pass the chosen print height and width to the PrintVBox control and call the paginate method, which creates pages of the desired width/height. I have tested this part thoroughly and displayed the resulting PrintVBox on the screen and it paginates successfully and all is well. After paginate, it has created 3 page VBoxes each holding some of those 20 items.
I then iterate thru PrintVBox.getChildren() array, in this case which is the three VBox pages, and I call:
myFlexPrintJob.addObject(page);
for each one. Each one errors out with the above error. The error is down in the PrintJob code, which is part of the Flash framework and I cannot step through it. I have no indication of why the page can't be added to the print job. Is there a reason this is happening?? Does it have to do with the Repeater that originally created the 20 HBoxes, even though I have now moved those HBoxes down onto separate pages? I'm just so confused here.
I can probably post the entire code chunk if someone really wanted it. I'm currently testing it as an AIR application using a big tester XML data object on the repeater, so that I didn't need a database and such to create the control and test printing. If someone really wants to see what I'm doing, let me know.

I am currently having the same problem as yours... I created my own printing classes that do all crazy calculation to figure out page breaks and stuff... everything goes well until the point I want to add these pages to the printJob. I get same error?

Query Search Panel not displaying search items in 11g on Windows 7 x64

I have defined a view object with two bind variables in a query criteria.
when I drag the query criteria onto a page - I get the panel with the search box - but the message says "no search items have been added".
I went back and ran through the steps with the SR Demo - same results.
I have tried redoing the search, using the default "all query items", query with table, and always the same results.
If I do a query form - I get everything - but i really need the "nice" query table to work.
Anyone else having this problem - or know of a solution.
I have redone the cue card step many times - I can put the base object (view) on the page and it works fine.

OK, this may seem foolish, how do I drag and drop the ExecuteWithParams - this will need to be in the Datacontrol - I presume - I am using 11gR3 (11.1.1.3).
I cannot even find documentation on this.
You are correct - I created the bind variables when I defined the where clause - so I suspect this may be the reason.
I would have thought that this would be automated - since it is pretty useless without it. There were no hints of this in the demo either.

Automatic Area of Search through finder?

By default, every time I try to search through spotlight in finder, it automatically searches "This Mac". I was wondering if there was a way to have it search in whatever folder I am currently in like it did in OS 10.3. Instead it comes up searching my hard drive and I have to manual click on whatever folder I am in. Also, does anyone know how to make it so if you have something typed into spotlight in finder, it will stay in the search box instead of erasing whenever I move to another folder. It makes it very agitating to have to retype in the file name each folder I switch to. This is also another thing that had changed from OS 10.3. If anyone has any way to help me on either of these problems, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

If you did this is applescript, you'd need to call unix through do shell script anyway, so don't bother with applescript. just use mdfind directly. e.g.:
# finds files that have a metadata attribute called MyKeyword with value DesiredValue
mdfind "MyKeyword == DesiredValue"
# finds files that have a metadata attribute called MyKeyword whose values start with Desi
mdfind "MyKeyword == 'Desi*'"
# finds files that have some metadata attribute whose value contains redVal
mdfind '*redVal*'
to make a smart folder just do a search in the Finder and then save it to the desktop (careful, it will default to saving it in the sidebar, which will put it in some funky folder down in you library). once you've saved it you can open it in a text editor or plist editor to see the contained mdfind command. Then it's just a question of modifying the right keywords. I have an applescript somewhere that does it, but it's not all that useful - almost as easy to make the smart folder by hand in the Finder, and there's no way to extract the files from the smart folder once you've made it.

My file abcd.txt is missing and I have to find who delete it, but I cant click 60 000 times to find it.

You can use Custom View and XML filter to filter specific event logs. Firstly, create a custom view. Then type an XML query to filter by ObjectName (abcd.txt).
