Hi Rafael and FrkJensen
I am an engineer on the Reader Mobile team and would like to help fix your issue on behalf of Ankit. From our logs, we see that none of your save requests actually reached the server. I'm assuming this to be a temporary issue on your device. I would like to request you to try one more thing to help resolve this issue at your end.
1. I am going to ask you to sign out of Acrobat.com and sign-in again.
2. However, note that when you sign out of Acrobat.com, any pending changes (save failures in outbox) will be lost. So, to avoid you losing those changes, please save all files in your device using iTunes. Here are the steps:
     a. Connect your device to a computer and launch iTunes.
     b. Select your device and select on Apps
     c. Scroll towards the bottom and under File Sharing, select Adobe Reader
     d. You should see all the files on your device appear on the right side.
     e. Now select all files and click on "Save" below the file list. This will prompt you to save your files on the local disk on the Mac.
3. Once you have saved your files using iTunes, come back to the Adobe Reader app on your device and tap on My Accounts in the left pane.
4. Tap on sign out.
5. Now, sign in again.
6. After signing in, switch to Acrobat.com tab, and open any file from your cloud account.
7. Make some changes and close the document. The document should save without errors.
If you want to bring back your changes from before you signed out, I'll send you a separate email on how to do so.
Please let me know if the above steps help resolve your issue.
Thanks
Shradha

  • PDF Reader for IPAD 2: how to import PDF files in the library

I have installed the "PDF reader" app and it is a great one. but can't import pdf files that are already in my IPAD (I see them in iBooks)

Documents associated with a specific app, such as iBooks, are not available to other apps on the iPad unless the app that they are associated with is capable of sending docs to be opened in another app, such as GoodReader is capable of doing. iOS is a much less open system than a computer OS like MAC OS  X or Windows, there is no central documents folder which various apps can browse to and open.

  • Upgrading your PDF reader for iPad

I am trying to open a PDF form from a company website, but it is telling me that I need the latest version of PDF viewer. I have the latest update for my PDF Reader app, but still I cannot open the form. How can I get the latest PDF app viewer?

    Hi,
When you open the PDF form, do you see a message like this?
Please wait... If this message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of the document, your PDF viewer may not be able to display this type of document. You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader for Windows®, Mac, or Linux® by visiting  http://www.adobe.com/go/reader_download.
Your PDF form is a special type of form called a "dynamic XFA form". The message is displayed when a dynamic content is not supported by a PDF viewer.
Currently, Adobe Reader mobile products (for iOS, Android, Windows Phone) do not support static or dynamic XFA forms that are created with Adobe LiveCycle Designer.  Upgrading Adobe Reader for iOS will not resolve the lack of support for XFA forms.
Please use the desktop version of Adobe Reader on a Mac or Windows computer to open and fill out the XFA form.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • What PDF reader for IPAD recognizes hyperlinks to be able to jump within a document and internet ?

I have created a WORD document using WORD 2007 and converted it to PDF. The document has hyperlinks and clickable bookmars but the regular IPAD PDF readers do not recgnize the links. Does anyone know what application for an IPAD would make the PDF links function?

How were the hyperlinks inserted in Word?  I think the PDF output is different if you use the Insert Hyperlink function, or just type the plain URL.
P.S. the iOS forum is here http://forums.adobe.com/community/adobe_reader_forums/ios if my explanation does not answer your question.

  • Html link to pdf works ok on mac but not on ipad. adobe reader for ipad downloaded.

HTML link to pdf works ok on Mac but not on ipad. Adobe Reader for ipad downloaded. What's wrong?

    Hi pwillener,
Thank for reply. The pdf’s are in a subfolder “PDF” of the folder holding the web page. The web page itself uses
. This works in full size computer browsers but not in an iPad.
My excursion through the search engine has produced the idea of adding #page = requesting page to the URL but I have not had time to try it perhaps without the = sign.

  • Acrobat X Pro Drop-down Fields Do Not Appear on Adobe Reader for iPad. Help!

    Hello,
I am having a problem getting drop-down fields to appear on Adobe Reader for iPad. Basically, I need to create a form that includes drop-down fields, with the end result being a form that can be viewed and completed on an iPad, using the Adobe Reader app. Above all else, the end result needs to be viewable on an iPad.
I created a form using Acrobat X Pro within which drop-down fields work flawlessly. However, when I try to open this form on an iPad, the drop-down fields do not even appear. I have done some investigating on the Web (including these forums) and come to understand that this has to do with javascript limitations on Apple products, but have yet to discover a solution to my problem.
To summarize: does anyone know how to make drop-down fields appear in Abobe Reader for iPad app? Or, does anyone know a workaround in which I could have a drop-down menu (or something similar) in my form and have it work on Adobe Reader for iPad?
Thanks in advance for the help. I took on this project from my boss' boss, so I'd really like to get this done for him.

    Hello GKaiseril,
Thanks for the reply. I experienced the issue running the most recent version of the Adobe Mobile Reader app. I'm not sure I can convince the client to use anything else, but its worth a shot.
All I need is a simple drop-down list (multiple fields in the document) with 4 options that the user can select and submit as a form. Is this something EZ Pdf reader can do? Also, is EZ Pdf Reader free? (the reason I ask is I am an Android user and do not readily have access to a iPad).
    Thanks again.

  • Does Reader for iPad store PDF files for viewing later when offline?

Does Reader for iPad store PDF files for viewing later when offline?
I'm asking because I have my portfolio as a PDF and I want to take my iPad with me to interviews, where I won't have Internet access, to show my portfolio.
    Cheers,
    Matt.

Awesome, I had hoped adobe were on the ball with this, but it's worth finding out beforehand.
    Thanks!

  • Looking for a PDF app for iPad

    Hi,
I'm sure I'm not the only one who's thought of this so I'm a believer that someone has created an app to help me and I can't find it!
Pretty much, I'm looking for an app that will allow me to edit PDF's on my ipad and then send it (Via WiFi or Bluetooth) to my laptop.
    For example:
Drawing a graph on my ipad, with detailed information, sending that to my macbook and then adding/inserting it to my PDF file on my laptop
(Like getting a notification on my mac, loading it, draging it to my pdf, and vola!)
If there is such a thing can someone help me out (If not feel free to take my idea and makes some money off of it, just let me know that you did!)
    Thanks

    Hey there
"pdf creator" for iPad works flawlessly for me working with pdf files
It takes care of all my needs
I'm not sure about sending via Wifi or Bluetooth but I send them via e- mail all the time
Possibly it could handle your needs as well
Just type it into the App Store search field and the first one that comes up is the one I use
Jump on over there and read up on it before buying and see if it will help you
    Hope this helps
    Regards

  • How can I search through my purchased apps on an iPad running iOS 7.0.4?

Maybe I'm just missing it, but I see no way to search through my purchased apps on my iPad (3rd generation) running iOS 7.0.4. To be clear, I know how to go to the appstore, click purchased, and view all of my purchased apps, but I cannot see a search field by which to textually search through my apps as is available on the iPhone. It seems inexplicable that Apple would have this feature on the iPhone but not the iPad, so am I missing something?
    Thanks for any help.

  • Drop down fields on Adobe reader for iPad

    Hello,
Regarding using an order form in adobe reader for iPad, I am able to check boxes, free form text, etc. but drop down fields are not retaining selection.  I will click drop down, make selection, and field is still blank. If I select the same drop down my choice is checked. When I email form the field remains blank.
    Any help would be appreciated!!

    Hello,
Thank you for the response.  I am currently using Adobe 11.01.  I believe I have found the problem.  Our company utilizes an app names "Showpad" for our sales teams.  Within Showpad you can open PDF's, however any interactive functionality is not available.  To solve for this, you can open a PDF within Showpad and then "open with" a different app.  In this case, I opened with Adobe Reader.  It looks like all the functionality returns to the document minus that drop down issue I am experiencing.
I tried to open the same order form from my email using Adobe Reader and all functionality is available (including drop down).
It looks as though something is getting lost between the Showpad app and Adobe Reader app.

  • Adobe Reader for IPad Download Problem

I downloaded several files last evening but this morning I found them only in the 'recent' file and not in documents.
How can I move the files from recent to documents?
(I have a brand new iPad and the latest update of Adobe Reader for iPad.)
The only options on the 'open' menu are for  iBooks, which is so unreliable that I downloaded Adobe Reader in the first place. (The files disappear in the middle of the download.)
I tried emailing to myself to then save the PDF from email, but the docs appear as text and pics within the email and are no longer an attached .pdf.
    Any ideas?

I can't explain it, but whenever I have a problem with an iOS app, I close out and re-open.
You can also force quit an app (remove it from memory): Click the Home button to return to the Home screen. Double-click the Home button to view the recent app list at the bottom. Click and hold over the Adobe Reader icon to show the red "delete" icon. Click Adobe Reader again and it will disappear from memory.
Click the Home button and relaunch. That opens Reader up anew, and refreshes it.

  • Adobe reader for iPad disappointed me

I cant beleive it, Forms, links, bottoms… don't work with Adobe reader for ipad. ¿Why?

Adobe Reader on desktop has a primary goal to open any valid PDF file, not matter how complex the contents. As such it uses a lot of resources and relies on certain platform features only found on desktop and laptop machines. The install footprint is huge, memory consumption is significant, but it doesn't matter.
Adobe Reader on mobile cannot currently get anywhere close to that - not only are the hardware resources not yet up to the task (storage, CPU power, RAM and GPU features are feeble compared to even basic laptops), but there are limitations imposed by the platform owners on which elements can be included. For example on iOS, Reader can't currently display PDF files that contain Flash content or embedded JavaScript, and since many forms rely on scripting (for calculated fields or submit actions) it's simpler right now to say "feature X is not supported" than support part of the feature and have a case-by-case response to every document. Since opening everything isn't an option, the mobile versions of Adobe Reader go for lightweight installers and fast performance, with a much-reduced feature set. You may not agree that's the correct line to take, but it's what Adobe are doing. I'm sure if the app had a 500MB install footprint, people would be up in arms even if it did open every file on the planet.
The Acrobat Family (including Reader) is an enterprise application group, so there are  features in the new iOS app specifically intended to appeal to that type of user, such as integration with LiveCycle DRM. For enterprise, a simple, global "no" to a feature is much less strain on IT support than a complex "maybe".
What will happen in the future, I cannot say - but remember this is the first build for iOS, so it will certainly evolve over time. Personally I'd love to see forms support on the iPad, but done properly - AcroForms, XFA, scripting, signatures, etc. - and that's a huge challenge. I'd also love to see rich media and Flash support, but that's politics. I don't do politics.
Customer feedback is very welcome, positive or negative. It'd also be great to hear what types of documents people are viewing with the mobile apps, and what single feature they'd most like to see added.

  • Adobe Reader for iPad Accessiblity issues

When using the Adobe Reader for iPad app with the IOS reader, images that have alt text attached do not get read. How can I fix this in the PDF or the accessibility features so the images are read?

Adobe Reader for iOS has limited accessibility right now, reading alt text for images is one of the things which is still in our to-do's.
You might see this as a part of our future updates, but we can't commit when it will reach to you.

  • Does Adobe Reader for iPad save annotations by/in itself (once uploaded from e.g. dropbox)

Does Adobe Reader for iPad save annotations by/in itself (once uploaded from dropbox I can still see them after closing the app or switching documents)? I lost some valuable annotations while switching documents and apps over time. How do I save them? Only by sending it to dropbox for instance?

    It saves the file when:
    1) The app goes to background
    2) A share action (open in, email, print) occurs
    3) A form submit occurs
    4) You close the document by going to "Home" or "Documents", or open another document
One issue that people encounter is that they open the file in a reader that does not support annotations (like the dropbox PDF view or the iOS Mail app). It doesn't sound like this is the case for you though, since you do see the annotations.
There is a known issue, where on a small number of documents with specific properties, we fail to save changes. This is an issue that we have fixed and will be in our next release. The release is currently pending approval by Apple. It's possible that you encountered this issue, and if so, I apologize.

  • IPad 2 will not sync w/Bento for iPad

IPad 2 will not syne w/Bento for iPad on MacBook Pro. I've deleted & re-downloaded app. Still will not sync.
iPhone does sync w/Bento.  All devices on same wifi.

Not a lot of information to go with Mark.  What type of computer, operating system, prior iTunes devices, etc??? Is the iPad brand new, did it sync before or is this your first sync?
But a couple of things you could check:
    1.  Is this your first iDevice?  If no, do you have a iPhone, iPod, previous iPad? If yes, are you using the syncing cable from one of those devices?  If yes, it can screw up the deal.  Make sure you are using the cable that came with the iPad.
    2.  Turn off any firewalls that might be running in background.
Let me know on these things first.  We'll work through it and get you up and running.  It will be something simple in the end most likely.
