How can we use SECATT tool for testing the entire series of transactions to be used in logistics functions?
Example :
rfq
acceptance/rejections
purchase order
goods receipt
invoice verification
goods issue
inventory posting/stock transfer
all in a sequence?

Hi Chintan Chande,
Create eCATT scripts for each transaction and export the needed values in each script and use them as input variables in the next scripts.
Like, Script P_Order for PO, take the PO number and create a GR WRT to PO number.
Like wise you could link all your scripts to form a Scenario.
After creating individual scripts for each transactions, then create a master script wherein you encapsulate/refer all of them in here..
Like REF ( RFQ , RFQ_1 ).
REF ( INVENTORY , INVENTORY_1 ).
Also, following is the link of a weblog on SDN which gives step by setp details about chaining. It also explains the terms used with necessary details -

In transaction SECATT , create a script and within the script in the command editor , add ABAP .... ENDABAP from the pattern in the tool bar.
You should enclose the select statment within the ABAP ENDABAP statements.
eg:
ABAP.

ENDABAP.

According to my knowledge with help of SECATT purchase order text cannot be uploaded. Because purchase order text is not stored in any table. Its better to follow BDC program to upload thr purchase order text. Ihope this will help you. thanks.

Secatt Recording Multiple line items

Hi all,
Iam new to secatt.
Iam having couple of doubts:
1) We having the scenerios :Creating script for Purchase,Order. P.O had multiple line item's.I want to creat the script for P.O ,that should work for all line items,each line items had deliery schedule date's
(The scripts should work for Multiple line items and schedule dates )
2) How to link the transactions
( Eg: In one scripts : creating P.O > Gr Migo > invoice )
Is it possible?.If its possible pls guide me.I would appriciate, If any input.

Calling transaction SECATT from webdynpro UI

I want to open the secatt applications second screen from webdynpro UI. For this I am using the following code on webdynpro side

        CLEAR lv_final_url.
        CONCATENATE lv_first_url '/gui/sap/its/webgui?TRANSACTION=secatt&RB_TEST_CONFIG=X&RB_ECATT_SCRIPT=&    ECTC_VER-NAME =' ls_ztwb_test_case-testcase '&okcode=ECOB_SHOW' lv_apostrophe
            INTO lv_final_url.
CALL METHOD lo_window_manager->create_external_window
        EXPORTING
          url    = lv_final_url
        RECEIVING
          window = lo_window.
      lo_window->open( ).
But I am still able to open the first screen of secatt and not the second screen with the relevant testcase datails.
But if I try to open the second screen of SCAT transaction I am able to open it using the following url.
CONCATENATE lv_first_url '/gui/sap/its/webgui?TRANSACTION=SCAT&*CATA-ABLNR=' ls_ztwb_test_case-testcase '&okcode=ZEIG' lv_apostrophe
            INTO lv_final_url.
Is there anything else that I need to pass as parameters in SECATT transaction.
The program of SCAT transaction is a module pool program.
The program of secatt transaction is a function pool program.

SECATT, use output parameters from a recorded transaction

Hi everybody,
I'm testing the functionality of the SECATT transaction. I have a question about the folllowing case:
someone has recorded mutliple transactions and wants them to be executed one after the other. But, 1 of these recorded transactions needs data that is generated by a previous transaction. Is this in some way possible (do these transactions generate some output parameters and can you capture them in your local parameters).

please check if this following proposal could serve you.
Define the Query with mode FixedQueryWithOutput. In the package define a ref cursor as IN OUT parameter. To get your 3 values back, open the cursor in your procedure like "Select val1, val2, val3 from dual". Then the values should get into your query.
Here is an example how this could be defined.
Package:
type return_cur IS ref CURSOR;
Procedure:
PROCEDURE myProc(myReturnCur IN OUT return_cur) ...
OPEN myReturnCur FOR SELECT val1, val2, val3 FROM dual;
Query:
DECLARE
MYRETURNCUR myPackage.return_cur;
BEGIN
myPackage.myProc(
MYRETURNCUR => ?
END;

I have a issue related to SECATT Transaction.
Actual issue here is i need call SECATT TCODE From my program to execute my test scripts.
SECATT's program is SAPLECATT_MAIN which is of type function pool how can i do it.
I may not be able to use SUBMIT statement as it is not Executable program.
Can anybody solve my issue.

Variant modification in SECATT - productive systems

Dear all,
While the execution of some tests with SECATT, it was needed to change the file name of the external variants path. As the quality client is closed for modifications, the change is not possible unless we open the client (table T000), even if the option "e-CATTS execution for trusted systems" is allowed.
Is it possible to change this setting so the user is able to modify the field "file name" without opening the client? If so, how do I do it?

Hello Julius,
Yes, we have considered to transport ot. However, we would like to keep the "historic" of files. If we transport it, we will overwrite the file everytime we execute it . This is the reason why we would like to modify it without opening the client.

Error in Secatt Script

Hi Guys,
I have been running secatt for user creation and adding one role through su01. Everything is fine until I define Variant in Test Configuration. I guess I'm keep doing something that gives me an error when I execute the script. I know its something related to variant.
I keep getting this error:
Version 1 External Variant SAVARIENT
Message no. ECATT507
Can anyone please tell me where am I doing wrong?

Run SECATT->Test Configuration and bring up your test configuration script.
Click on Change
Click on Variants Tab
Verify that your file is correct
Click on Execute
Click on Shared Tab (Default Screen)
Error Behavior select - S No Termination, Continue with next Script Command
Debugging Mode select - I Ignore Breakpoints (Default for Collective Execution)
Click on the Variant Tab
Click on Change Path
Verify your path for your source file under the following fields
eCATT Objects
Variants
WebDynpro
SAPGUI Command
Then EXECUTE

Error in SECATT - ATT 377 Control data is obsolete, rerecord (&1&2&3)

Hello,
I get an error while running a TCD REC secatt, in the log of the test configuration , there are red errors "ATT 377 Control data is obsolete, rerecord (&1&2&3)", although the secatt was sucessfully done (meaning i should get green light...).
I've implemented Note #965439, in order to solve this error.
but the error still occurs.
Any ideas...?
