Second installation

I tried to install the cc on a laptop with Windows 8.1. I installed Photoshop from my account without problems, but when I try to open Photoshop laptop tells me I have already activated the software on two computers, but it is not true. Sees connected to another PC. How should I do? I do not want problems on my main pc. as opportunity offers me to turn off all PCs, but I do not want to turn off my main. In the past I had problems with my account that resolved. I was required several times a day activation. For this I think my account see more pc, but I have only this and now even a laptop.

  • Creative Suite 4, Windows 7 64bit will not run second installation disk

    Hello,
I hope someone can help me or point me in the right direction. I just upgrade my PC to Windows 7 on a freshly formatted hard drive and I can't seem to be able to install the second installation disc of  CS4. I install the first disc fine but when it comes to running the second disk, Windows does not detect the disc in the drive. Could someone point me in the right dicrection on this please. I did have a dabble with the msconfig as at one point the first disc wouldn't even run. Any help would be appreciated thankyou.

  • Can I buy "Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended", choose the platform "Windows" and then install it both on a Windows PC and as second installation on a MacBook Pro (on OS X)?

    Hello everyone,
I want to buy "Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended" but have to choose a platform (Windows OR Mac) during the buying process. When I buy Photoshop, I'm allowed to install it on a second Computer, but use just one copy at the same time.
Is it possible to install the same licence both with the Windows PC and a MacBook Pro with OS X on it?
    Thanks!
    Sincerely,
    Mo

a ps license allows either 2 pc or 2 mac installations.  to install on both mac and pc, you must purchase two licenses, or subscribe to adobe cc which does allow 1 pc and 1 mac installation for all adobe programs.

  • Trying to install a new copy of Leopard without the second installation cd.

I'm trying to do a fresh install from the first installation disk I got with my Mac. However, when I get past the first installation disk, it tells me it needs disk 2. I don't have a second disk, but after a call to Apple Support I was assured that I didn't need one, as it only contains extra features. The person on the other end suggested that I try reinstalling the OS again from the beginning. So I started up the computer from the installation disk again, only to be prompted by a message saying I would need my disk 2 for the installation. There is an option to customize my installation before that. By customization it means whether to not install additional languages, fonts, and printer drivers. However, even if I unchecked everything possible, it still prompts me for a second disk. I'm kinda of confused about what to do at this point.

Earlier versions of the system disks supplied with new Mac's need the second DVD to complete the installation. Yours must be this type. From about 10.5.6 onwards the installers changed. You then installed the first DVD, completed setup, then run the applications install DVD. As far as I'm aware based upon what you have reported, you will need the second DVD. Your options are to locate it, or use a retail installer and iLife DVD for a full installation.

  • Cannot start Photoshop CS6 Extended after second installation

I have just installed a second copy (which I understand is allowable) of Photoshop CS6 Extended on my home computer in a windows 8 environment. I have previously installed on Win 7 and that works ok. However the new installation in Win 8 gives me the following error:
Could not open a scratch file because the file is locked, you do not have necessary access permissions, or another programs is using the file. Use the 'Properties' command in Windows Explorer to unlock the file.
Can anyone advise what I should do

Do as it says - fix your file/ user permissions on your harddrive.

  • Invalid Serial Number for Second Installation of CS5

I want to install my student and Teacher edition of CS5 on a second computer but when I typed in the serial number which I found in the "My Products" section of my online account it said that it was an invalid key.
Is it that I have to prove I'm still a student again and how do you do that? Or is it something else?

I installed on the first PC with a disk I bought which is the same disk that I'm trying to install on the new one.
The operating system is windows 7 same as the old one and they are even both samsungs.
It's CS5 Design Standard that I'm installing so its not specifically Photoshop. The last time I installed it I just installed everything on the disk and didn't have an option to install individuals (if that's what you are asking me).
What has happened is it hasn't even got to the installation part yet it almost immediately asked for a serial number or whether I wanted to install a trail version. Obviously, I've already got a serial number so I typed in the serial number on my account here and it came up with a message that said "This serial number is invalid". I checked it several times. I didn't copy it over incorrectly. That serial number was used over a year ago so  my immediate thoughts was that it had expired.

  • Second installation of Photoshop and Lightroom on new iMac shown as 30 day trials

I have just installed Photoshop and Lightroom on a second Mac and these versions are shown as 30 day trials. According to the T's and C's, I can legally install both products on 2 separate machines. How can I convince CC that the installations on the new machine are not trial versions?
    Thanks in anticipation

    Hi Mylenium,
    Thanks for your response.
It seems that it may have been an activation error - I signed in to the CC and the problem semi-disappeared. Photoshop is now happy but Lightroom is still counting down in the trial period. When it expires I should be able to re-install it.

  • I know that the iWork family pack can be used for up to five computers, but what if I install it again on the same computer? Will the second installation count and leave me with three more installions?

    Thank you.

If you reinstall iWork using the family pack on the same Mac, it won't count as a second Mac, so you will be able to install it legally on four more Macs

  • Adobe Acrobat X Pro -Second installation (no CD drive)

  • Dreamweaver templates not updating on second installation

I have just purchased the new Dreamweaver CS5.5.  I installed it on my laptop first and it is working fine.  However the package is not working correctly on my husband's laptop.  He is finding that the templates are not updating the files despite going through the process. I am the 'techie' in our partnership and I did make sure both installations were identical.
Updates we are trying to make are outside of the editable regions.
It has taken me years to get him to accept an update for this programme, and now it doesn't work for him, he is not well pleased at me spending hundreds of pounds, when the Dreamweaver MX2004 worked well for him.
Please can someone point me in the right direction to put this right.
    Jean

We are not working on the same templates.  In our partnership, I build the templates and then turn them over to my husband to input the content.  The particular problem we are incurring at the moment is on a fully functioning website.  We noticed that on changeover from Dreamweaver MX2004 to CS5.5, the css file wasn't being read, the difference being:
    from  <link type="text/css" media="all" rel="stylesheet" href="/styles/style.css" />
    to <link type="text/css" media="all" rel="stylesheet" href="../styles/style.css" />
don't really understand this, but having updated the template, the dialogue box came up asking if you want to update all files connected to template, said ok, and the finish dialogue box says 211 files updated.  But when you open the file it hasn't actually updated at all.
Website looks ok online now as he has went back to MX2004 to upload a new page.

As you can access your router's web interface you should first download the router's firmware and then try to re-configure it...
    Download the Firmware from here
Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware on the device : -
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on a computer hard wired to the router...

Click on the 'Administration' tab- Then click on the 'Firmware Upgrade' sub tab- Here click on 'Browse' and browse the .bin firmware file and click on "Upgrade"...
Wait for few seconds until it shows that "Upgrade is successful"  After the firmware upgrade, click on "Reboot" and you will be returned back to the same page OR it will say "Page cannot be displayed".
    Now reset your router :
Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...
Assuming your ISP is DSL -
    Leave your modem unplugged...
Connect a computer straight to the router, Open an Internet Explorer browser page on your wired computer(desktop). In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1 and press Enter...Leave Username blank & in Password use admin in lower case...
On the main setup page, change the LAN IP Address to 192.168.2.1 and click on Save Settings...Wait for couple of seconds and then unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds, first connect the power cable to the modem and make sure the modem is connected to the router on the internet port, wait for another 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...
See if you can go online...
If you do not get teh Internet Connection kindly state the exact make and model number of your modem...

  • My Hard Drive is lost, how can I install my second installation on my another Hard Drive?

Hi, I have a license of CS4 Master Collection and installed it on my laptop and on my personal computer. But the HD of my personal machine was lost and could not deactivate my installation. Now I need a new installation on my PC with another HD and I am not getting.
How can I cancel the previous installations so I can reinstall my license?
    Thank you very much
    Paulo A. Teixeira

My laptop was fried by lightening and had to buy a new laptop. Of course I was not able to deacivate mine either since "Thor" did not send an advance notice. What worries me more is that Adobe has not responded to your post. I have contacted them online and am waiting for an answer. I will let you know what they say when I get a response.

  • Camera Raw Apparently Missing On Second Installation Of Elements 10

I have installed Elements 10 onto my desktop which works fine. When opening a .NEF file or when opening a JPEG using 'Open As Raw', the Camera Raw interface comes up.
I have also installed Elements 10 onto my netbook. Whilst the prgram itself works fine, the Camera Raw interface doesn't appear to come up when loading .NEF files or opening JPEGS as 'Open As Camera Raw'. I have downloaded and installed the latest Camera Raw from the Adobe website.
Can anyone supply any reasons for this and how I solve the problem?
    Many thanks.

It is fequently updated to accomodate newer camera models to it'll be a good idea to update it as well.
Also see http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/901/cpsid_90141.html#main_Confirm_a_correct_installation_ to make sure that it the plugin is installed properly.

Have you set the program to open directly with either the Editor or Organizer? If so click on the home button (house symbol near top right) and choose Photoshop Elements welcome Screen. Then try the three keys with one click on the edit button.
Before doing that make sure the program closed down properly by clicking Ctrl+Alt+Delete. Click n the applications tab and highlight any Adobe application and then click the End task button.
Also are you trying to open a file from the Organizer. Have you tried going to a folder and right clicking on a NEF file and choosing open with Photoshop Element Editor?
If non of that works you may need to uninstall and then reinstall.
