Second language on the website English and Dutch
Hello I have a question about more languages than one on the website.
My client wants Dutch and English content on his website by selecting this on the active website.
Is this posible?
And how can I do this

I'm looking for a way to add a second language to the "quick scroll" (the one on the right hand side of the window) in Contacts and iPod.
Today I only see the english alphbet there, is there a way to add a second (or even third language)?
Thanks...It's a late answer, but you can put quite whatever you want in /etc/locale.conf, depending on your needs.
As you can see here https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Co … ide_locale, you can only set LANG and the other LC_* variables will be set based on this. But you can also tweak a little bit the LC_* variables if you know what you're doing.

i have change my phone language to english. but the phone shows chinese language in the internet pages and with call details. how to change it. why is this occuring?
If the phone is not unlocked, let's say for example it is locked to another carrier such as at&t, when you put in the Tmobile SIM in, the phone would complain about the SIM.
Does your phone do that? If yes, then the party that sold you the iPhone4S (if you purchased it from another person) may have not done the unlocking properly, and that may explain why Tmobile is insisting on the phone being locked.
If you purchased your iPhone4S new from Apple, did you pick Tmobile, or did you choose unlocked?
If you picked the Tmobile choice, then it should come up ready to use.
If you picked the unlocked choice, then you would need to visit Tmobile to purchase a nano-SIM and usually they should be more than willing to help you, since you're paying for their service.
But as you have indicated, this phone is under AppleCare, so if it doesn't work with a supposedly good Tmobile SIM, the quickest way to fix this is to get a replacement phone. When we troubleshoot we always try the least time consuming methods first.
You may have noticed it, that a good number of unfortunate uses of the iPhone4S have had their wifi become strangely disabled after upgrade to iOS7. Your situation is the reverse, your wifi is useable but not your cellular network.
In the mean time, you can apply for a Google Voice account (see http://www.google.com/voice), and obtain a free North American telephone number. You can then download one of many free Google Talk applications. Set it up, and you will be able to call and receive phone calls using your wifi. This would be just for the transition period before you get a useable phone.
Google voice provides average voice quality calls to and from US & Canada numbers for free for 1 hour per call. You can use this as a temporary work around while you are waiting for your replacement phone.

How to select the desired language in the item Startup and Login Windows?
Users can individually select the language in which applications are displayed by moving the entries in the Language list of the International pane in System Preferences into the desired order. However, this language preference only affects applications started by each user, it does not apply to the startup phase of the operating system and its login window. Under normal circumstances, this kind of language preference can only be set when installing or reinstalling the operating system.
How to modify this language preference without having to reinstall the system. Select the desired language in the item Startup and Login Language ?The language used by the login window is written in /Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences.plist. The file name begins with a dot . , so it is hidden in the Finder.
If it is OK for you to use unix command line, then you can modify this plist file by using "defaults" command as follows (CAUTION! please be careful no to make any mistakes, and do it at your own risk).
Open /Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app. and type
cd /Library/Preferences
cp .GlobalPreferences.plist saved-GlobalPreferences.plist
to make a backup copy of the plist. (if you get permission error, then try
sudo cp .GlobalPreferences.plist saved-GlobalPreferences.plist
and enter the admin password.)
Then type
defaults read /Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences AppleLanguages
to show the current setting. You can rearrange the list of languages as you like, for example,
defaults write /Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences AppleLanguages '(fr en)'
(or sudo defaults write .... if you get permission error)
I think you may make the list as short as you like.
If you don't like to use Terminal.app, then install Xcode (you can find it in Tiger install DVD, or download the latest version from Apple -- you need to register at Apple website to download it). It will install /Developer/Applications/Utilities/Property List Editor.app. You can edit /Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences.plist by this app by typing the following into Terminal.app (it's hidden in Finder so you must use Terminal.app to start editing it by Property List Editor):
open /Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences.plist

I recently had to disable and enable all add-ons on Firefox. Now when I google something, when I hover over the website preview and click 'cached' it won't highlight the key terms anymore. How can I fix this?
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Change GDM language in Gnome3 and add a Second Language to the List
Hello Everyone,
I have always used this order in my language list in Gnome or KDE : Portuguese, French, English.
But since the update of Gnome 3.2.1, I have problems defining the language, on my locale.gen I got only those 3 languages activated. But my Gnome3 Language List show me this :
Chinese
Espanish
English
English UK
Portuguese
With no chances of adding french (or it will replace the portuguese language and my system will be in French), If I remove the Portuguese language from the gnome list, then my system will be in chinese, english etc...
Even GDM have the same error, the problem is, GDM only show me the English language with no chances to change it..
How can I change this ?

who can help me? Since update I cannot choose the german language on preferences again.Only English and automatic is possible.Thank you for help.I managed to get it ^.^ Here's what I did:

I couldn't open Firefox using the terminal, so I went to the folder and opened it from there. The Firefox icon no longer appears, and I can't figure out how to change the shortcut in my menu lol But it's definitely the Japanese version, and all of my bookmarks, plugins and preferences were saved, so everything else will come eventually ^.^

I changed my GMail password the other day. I now have to type it in every time I access my mail as I cannot get Firefox (v.3.6.3) to ask me "Remember PW for this site?" (as it always AUTOMATICALLY does when FIRST entering a website password). Why does FF not automatically offer the "Save PW?" option AGAIN when one CHANGES the access PW of a site previously visited? Can one "force" a password to be remembered?
If the name stays the same and you only need to change (update) the stored password then fill the name in the login form and let Firefox fill the wrong password.
You may have to press the Tab key to fill the password field.
If you replace the wrong password with the new password then Firefox should offer to store the new password.
Use the ''Remember Password'' bookmarklet on websites that use "autocomplete=off" to prevent Firefox from saving passwords.
You can verify that Firefox has stored the new password: Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"
If that didn't work then remove that name and password and Firefox should offer to save the new password on the next visit or if you refresh the login page.

Mac 10.5.8, fire fox, 3.6.12, uninstalled all extensions, reinstalled all extensions, deleted cookies etc, I have continuously also received the message about java script not being installed properly even though I have uninstalled and reinstalled etc.. If I click on the next page instead or using fastestfox to open, it will open no problem!! But fastestfox was great for being fast! any ideas???

I read a solution for something that sounded similar.
Anyone in similar position:
Open iTunes app on iPhone, and pick an option from bottom, such as music. Then scroll down to bottom of page and where your iTunes ID is, press on it, and pick sign out.
Then return to home screen, and double press home button and press and hold on first icon showing, until a minus symbol appears in the top left of icons present. Press on each minus symbol on each app in turn, until all app icons have disappeared. Then Restart the phone by pressing and hold the home button and the on/off/standby button at top of phone, until the apple symbol appears in centre of blank screen.
Swipe to turn phone fully on and open settings and scroll down to iTunes and apps option and tap that. Pick sign in and put in your apple ID, it will accept it and then return to home screen and open iTunes a you'll find it works fine
Simple really, but some like me won't think f this themselves!

Wipe your computer - erase the system drive - and do a clean install.
If you have a tower not a notebook more likely to keep more backups you can boot from, and restore from.
Always have a backup copy of the system - off line and safe - that you can restore from.
Did you look for how to use Mountain Lion Recovery Mode / Safe Mode /
Maybe it is possible to do Safe Boot and disable any added login items, startup items, and use Activity Monitor to kill any process.
The Mac does not have a real sandbox or restore points, but you can always use TimeMachine and reinstall the operating system. -

N8: Dictionary: English and Dutch speak; Spanish, ...
Have an N8 with Symbian ^3 firmware. Dictionary has English installed by default. Added Dutch, Spanish. Dutch words are "spoken" with the Options>Listen menu choice. Spanish is mute. Removed Spanish, tried German and French. Both also mute. Any suggestions?

Different name in English and Dutch/German for a tab?
Hello,
I have a tab group, in which i have a view to which 2 events are assigned.
They have the same switch group assigned, say, YY_ABC.
The view switch group is defined in the "View Switch group section as well.
In English, the portal displays correcly, the name of the tab as HELLO.
But in Dutch/German, the tab has the name as YY_ABC, i.e it gives the name of the swtich group.
How do i change it to HELLO?
I know for field groups, where i go into CMOD, how about for tabs?
