Problem - can not reduce subwoofer volume
Diagnostic tests all pass
Speaker tests all pass
In mixer I click on center/subwoofer icon. Next subwoofer volume slider opens. Subwoofer volume slider does not adjust or reduce subwoofer volume lever. Subwoofer volume is far too load for many sound tracks.
Is this a hardware sound card defect?
Is this a software defect?
Is something wrong with Creative speakers?
So again how can I reduce subwoofer volume?
This isn't an oem problem. I had a genuine sbli've! value with xp and had no software control of my subwoofer volume most of the rest of the creative software seemed to work though. Also with windows speaker config set to 5., I never had any control over any speakers besides left and right. I decided I was sick of that and tech support was giving me advice like "is your computer plugged in? have you turned your computer on?", so I went out and bought an audigy 2 platinum. Same problem. No subwoofer control and no speaker volume sliders with the windows media controls.
I've tried xp pro, xp pro sp, xp home and xp sp2 with no luck. I've tried everything I could think of. Change the pci slot, tried different variations of the drivers and clicked every button I could find and have pretty much given up.

I have the exact same problem trying to use the Remote app on both my iPhone 3gs and iPad 2 with either my Mac or ATV2. My Remote app used to work on my phone - I can't recall if I ever actually used it with my iPad, but when I tried today, I got all the same results as you did (on both iPad, and then iPhone). I was using my ATV2 to play music from iTunes on my Mac and wanted to use the Remote app, but it would not connect to either device no matter what I did.

How can i reduce my mailbox size on my iphone. In usage it shows Mail 2,4gb. I deleted all mails in all folders (trash, junk, sent, attachments, etc) still have 2,4gb ?? In cloud settings i have mail sync turned off. Where is this size coming from ?? I see this question has been asked before but never been answered!I think its a bug (not a feature) and there is no soltuion at the moment. Apple has to work ont his problem beside many other problems with iOS7.

Second user account can not import anything
I am the primary user on this mac and I can import CDs without issue. My wife is the second user on the same system, when she tries to import she receives a message saying this:
The file <CD Title> couldn't be converted.
You don't have write access for your iTunes folder in it.
I have the new iTunes 10 and that is when the problem started, anyone seen this and find a fix?
Thankstry this:
logged into the wife's user account, check if she has read & write permissions for her music folder. in finder, right-click on it and +get info+. unlock the little padlock (you may have to enter your admin password) and change the permission settings. next, click on the little gear-shaped icon and +apply to enclosed items+ like so
you may also give everyone read & write access.
the important part is to *apply to enclosed items* !
now try to import the CD again.

As to face reconition - it is certainily not perfect and you often have to add faces to photos

again we have no idea what you are doing unless you bother to tell us where are you editing them? How are you trying to get them to the main iPhoto page. Exactly what are you doing and what is happening and what is not happening?

I bought 2 songs that can not be played or copied
Yesterday I bought 2 songs but one can not be played at all and the other you can listen just a few seconds. You can not even play them in itunes. I've previously buy other songs that don't have any problems. When you see the files they seem complete because they are more than 2 minutes long as the songs.
If I download them again do I have to pay another time? I don´t have any error messages...This script will relink dead tracks if they are still n the iTunes folder.

Any time that I try to use an application, the screen become normal just for a couple of seconds, and it zoom again. I can not reduce it with my fingers.
Also is dificult to move up or down the applications icon.The zoom feature is covered in the manual.

OSX Yosemite: I can not move the icons on my display. They always jump to an other position

I updated my OS X to Yosemite last week.
First problem: Since then, I can not update several applications any more. Yestersday, there where 5 updates: iMovie, iPhoto, Keynote, Pages and Numbers. iMovie and iPhoto updates were ok, but for the other 3 I received a message ""Update Unavailable with This Apple ID.This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled"". As far as I know, I was never refunded, or I never cancelled an app that was originating from Apple. I even don't know how to di it !!
Second problem: I can not move any more the icons on my display. And sometimes thy are moved to an other position after start. For example: the Mackintosh HD and the external Time-Maschine HD were always in the right upper corner on the display. This morning, after starting, they were in the left lower corner!! No way to slide them back to the other side. They always jump back to the lower left.

Performance tip: Keep the Desktop clutter-free (empty, if possible) by: Klaus1
Mac OS X's Desktop is the de facto location for downloaded files, and for many users, in-progress works that will either be organized later or deleted altogether. The desktop can also be gluttonous, however, becoming a catch-all for files that linger indefinitely.
Unfortunately - aside from the effect of disarray it creates - keeping dozens or hundreds of files on the Desktop can significantly degrade performance. Not necessarily because the system is sluggish with regard to rendering the icons on the desktop and storing them in memory persistently (which may be true in some cases), but more likely because keeping an excessive number of items on the Desktop can cause the windowserver process to generate reams of logfiles, which obviously draws resources away from other system tasks. Each of your icons on your desktop is stored as a window in the window server, not as an alias. The more you have stored, the more strain it puts on the window server. Check your desktop for unnecessary icons and clear them out.
Keeping as few items as possible on the Desktop can prove a surprisingly effective performance boon. Even creating a single folder on your Desktop and placing all current and future clutter inside, then logging out and back in can provide an immediately noticeable speed boost, particularly for the Finder.
And it is why Apple invented 'Stacks' for Leopard.
Keep your Desktop as clutter free as possible!

nulloradim80 is a winnt admin utility only. Its purpose is
to create/modify/delete oracle services and to provide
the ability for the service to start the database, although
you can run oradim80 at the command line to start the db. Given
this purpose it is understandable why linux/unix does not provide
the oradim utility.
As far database assistant is concerned I have found that you can
use the winnt utility to create batch files that can be run in
the unix/linux environment. You will however, have to edit these
files and change the directory paths. The utility insists that
the path convention conform to dos standards. You may also have
to change the sid name if the name you choose conflicts with a
sid already on your winnt platform. Oh, don't forget the oratab
modification.
I am currently testing the linux non enterprise version of O8. I
do not know if the enterprise edition has the database assistant
utility. These gui tools can become addictive, it would be nice
if oracle would incorporate the database assistant into
enterprise manager so that you can not only monitor existing db's
but also create them as well.

It originally did not download correctly. I refreshed the download and it supposedly completed. Upon playing the song in both my library and on the Itunes store it will not play past the first 5 seconds. How can I fix this?

A 2003 iMac cannot support Snow Leopard 10.6; you'd need an Intel processor and that cannot be retrofitted to your Mac. What does "About this Mac" in your Apple menu say for your processor speed? What does it say about how much RAM you have?
If the processor is 1ghz or faster, you can run OS 10.5; otherwise, you are maxed out at 10.4.11.
Also, are you running any commercial ("pay for") anti-virus or security software? They are notorious for slowing most Macs to a fraction of their speed potential.
A too-full hard drive can drag down performance, especially if you don't have a lot of physical RAM installed. If you single-click your hard drive icon and then do command i, you'll see the disk usage. Looks like this:
The value for "Used" should be no more than about 90 percent of "Capacity." In the example image, that drive has about 34 percent of its space used and 66 percent free--more than enough. Please post what you see for your Capacity and Used numbers
There are a few more things we might check but this is a good start.

From the FeedValidator report the feed is basically OK for iTunes. There are several occasions where 'content:encoded' sections (following immediately on 'guid' tags) should be enclosed in

tags: however all this will be ignored by iTunes anyway and only applies to other readers. The 'potentially dangerous content' referred to by FeedValidator is within the 'content:encoded' tags and so isn't relevant to iTunes. They are referring to an inline css style, and I don't know whether this might cause a problem elsewhere.
You should really have a language tag, e.g.
<language>en-us</language>
(you have a dc:language tag but that's for a different system). This should be placed in the top section, before the first 'item' tag.
It's advisable to have an 'itunes:explicit' tag for each 'item' -
<itunes:explicit>yes IF CONTAINS ADULT MATERIAL, OTHERWISE no</itunes:explicit>
it's not compulsory if you have no adult material, but you must have a 'yes' if you do.
You can check your feed by subscribing in iTunes from the 'Advanced' menu - this has the same result as clicking the 'Subscribe' button on the Store page. If it works OK there you are ready to submit it.
