SECOND QUESTION IN ADOBE FORUMS...

WOW, WHAT A SOFTWARE! BUT WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BEETWEEN IT AND DREAMWEAVER?

... IN THE LATEST YEARS MANY HARDWARE OBJECTS GOT TO BE DEVELOPED TO A LEVEL NEVER OBTAINED BEFORE: MANY MOBILE TELEPHONES GOT TO WORK AS PERSONAL COMPUTERS AND MANY PERSONAL COMPUTERS GOT TO LOOK AS MOBILE TELEPHONES. CERTAILY IN THE PAST A DIFFERENCE BEETWEEN VARIOUS SOFTWARES WAS NECESSARY TO OPTIMIZE THEESE DIFFERENT HARDWARES, BUT ACTUALLY THIS DIFFERENCE IS NOT YET USEFUL: A MOBILE TELEPHONE AND A COMPUTER CAN BE CONNECTED TOGETHER, AND ONE CAN DOES FOR THE OTHER ONE WHAT THE OTHER ONE CANNOT; OR, IN ANOTHER WAY, YOU CAN BUY TECHNOLOGICAL THINGS PUT EXACTLY AT THE MIDDLE BEETWEEN A PERSONAL COMPUTER AND A MOBILE TELEPHONE... SO, MY QUESTION SUBJECT WAS LESS COMMERCIAL AND MORE TECHNOLOGICAL; I AM SORRY THAT IT WAS NOT PASSED BY MY OPENING MESSAGE. IN OTHER WORDS:
1-WHAT EXACTLY DREAMWEAVER CAN DO AND MUSE CANNOT?
2-WHAT EXACTLY MUSE CAN DO AND DREAMWEAVER CANNOT?
3-COULD ONE OF THEM BE TOTALLY REPLACED BY THE OTHER ONE, AND IF YES WHICH CAN BE THE REPLACER BEETWEEN THEM?
BUT REWRITING IN OTHER WAY MY QUESTION TO AN ADOBE STAFF MEMBER LETS ME OPEN ANOTHER LEVEL OF MATTERS WITH A FOURTH QUESTION:
4-WHY DOES ADOBE STILL MAKE DIFFERENCES AMONG DIFFERENT SOFTWARE LICENSES, OR SHOULD IT NOT BETTER TO MAKE AN UNIQUE LICENS AGREEMENT FOR ALL OF THEM?
SINCE NOW THANKS HAVE GONE TO EVERYONE WHO WILL CLEARLY ANSWER MY DOUBTS.

  • Anyone hear use Adobe Forums? PSE 9 question.

I needed to post a PSE 9 question and have been trying to use adobe forums for days. When I attempt to login, my browser goes into a redirect loop forever. Anyone else experienced this?
Just in case I'll ask the Question here. I have PSE 9. Seems that the redo last filter with dialog box no longer functions (option-cmd-f). Did it go away? Now it brings up a Feather dialog.
    Bummer.

I hope you receive some replies as I have a very similiar situation. I wish I could help but obviously I cannot.

  • Question for CL Forum Ad

I have been reading through this forum and there seems to be no shortage of upset customers. They all seems to be asking the same questions over and over again, and the only answer given is, "I'll post more information when I get it".
Now, I'm not a real tech savvy guy, but why is it not possible, to walk over to the desk of the head developer, and say, "Hey Steve, can you tell me why the new drivers are the same as the beta ones?"
And then walk back to your PC and type the answer here. I mean lets be honest, unless you are sending messages via snail mail, I don't understand why this is so hard to do. I suspect you HAVE the answers, but the big cheese at CL has told you to simply deflect the questions for now.
What I am trying to say is that by you saying you'll post information when you get it, does nothing but make your company look completely rag tag. It gives the impression that everyone just works part time from home, and they only meet every other Saturday for a softball game. There is no official statements from CL, you guys don't have any answers, no one knows when anything is being released or what it'll have in it...it just seems like the company is in shambles.
And this brings me to my second question. While you're slow to respond to questions about why things aren't working and such, but you are quicker than a fat man chasing a rolling donut down the street when someone advertises another brand, so my question is what do YOU recommend we do?
Can you suggest some solutions for all of the people who bought CL cards and have no working drivers? I would really appreciate if you didn't simply ignore, or skirt around this question.
I think it's time you threw us a bone here, if you're not going to give us any information, then at least give us some other alternati'ves.

Dude, honestly, I could care less what happened 0 years ago. I have said it before and I'll say it again for you, just because this type of thing keeps happening doesn't mean it's right.
When I buy a product from a company I don't do it thinking, "Hey, maybe if I buy this product then the $200 will help them become the best company in the world, and I don't care if it works or not, I just like the feeling of supporting companies in the hopes they'll do well!"
I buy products, and I expect them to work.
Regardless, if you had actually read my post, you would see that I'm not asking when the drivers will be out, or why they aren't... I am asking why this "world leader" in sound cards can't communicate effecti'vely with it's customers? I am asking why the Admins keep saying the same old mumbo jumbo, and expect us to buy that they can't actually just go talk to the people in charge.
I am also asking if they can't tell me that information, then help me find some alternati'ves.
So, why don't you paypal me a few hundred dollars for a new sound card. You seem to have no problem sitting there giving your sound card "high fi'ves" and talking to it in a sweet voice, "Don't worry little sound card, I know you have amazing potential, I won't give up on you!"
"Do you remember the old days of Windows 2000?" We then cut to a montage of you running through fields of flowers hugging your sound card and a copy of Windows 2000. You shake your fingers at them and say, "Not yet little guys, soon we'll all be together in harmony, we just have to wait!!"

  • Questions regarding Adobe Interactive Forms capabilities

    Hi,
We have the following questions regarding Adobe Interactive Forms.
    1. Not able to create a text field with dynamic size according to the data entered in the text field in a form with Static Content type forms.   We use a scroll area, but cannot print content that is not visible in the scroll area.
We currently have Designer 7.0 and 2004 SP 16. I tried to set “Form Properties -> PDF Render Format” to be “Acrobat 7.0 Compatible Dynamic PDF” but the text field did not grow dynamically.
    2. Another requirement is that once one form is accepted by the Customer, we need to generate a second, new form (with all user entered information from the first form) and the customer should be able to print the form.
To implement this, we need to have a form that can support dynamically growing text field in some areas, and specific positioning of form elements for other areas. Can we have a dynamic form which lets the fields grow dynamically according to the data entered in the field and with specific positioning of elements?
    3. Sending emails from Offline forms – Requirement is to send an email as soon as the form is accepted by our Customers. But the Customers can complete the form offline. Is it possible to automatically send an email in an offline forms without having the user push the ‘send’ button from their email application?  Can the Adobe Form do that part automatically?
Appreciate any help regarding above questions.
    Thanks,
    Kalyan

    HI Francois,
Thank you very much for the very helpful information.
    1. I am able to insert now the floating field inside a static text but the text does not grow dynamically even when I set the form type to be "Flowed Content". Is it something that required Adobe Designer 7.0 and also 2004s ADS?
    2. I can still select only Flow or position content from the option but how can we use both in the same form? I am using Adobe Designer 7.0 and it allows to select only one. Is it again a problem in lower versions that I use?
    3. This is an excellent idea and I strongly believe this is going to work (am trying to create POC for this solution). The form should be able to call the webservice as long as the user is connected to internet.
Can you provide your views on the first two points. I appreciate your help.
    Thanks,
    Kalyan

  • 2 questions about this forum

Since the forums have been reorganized (yeah, I know its been a while).  I never fail to be confused when I try to use them.
    For instance:
    1) At the top of the list of questions for adobe Bridge general discussion, I see the Heading:
    "Trending Questions"
What on earth is that supposed to mean.  What does "trending" mean in this unusual usage?
    2) How can I get an advanced search dialog for this particular forum? When I click on the `Be sure to search the forum' link it just pops me to a new page apparently 1 layer back from this forum to Bridge with the lamest search dialog I've seen on any forum.
I'd like to search for a particular poster, or a particular date range or etc etc.  How can I do that?

    Curt Y wrote:
Had to do a little research as "trending questions" was a puzzler.  You are looking at the  bridge general discussion page, and I always bring up the Bridge Forum page where trending is not there.  Think it refers to current questions.
Some forums have a "search this forum only" box, but none has been set up here.  You can the user name and have it return posts.  If you know the subject it is still more complete search to use google.
Back on an older thread ... You mention "Bringing up" the bridge forum on a different page than the one with that silly "Trending questions" baloney.
I'm curious how you do that... when I find the forums, ususally from a google search with "Adobe forums" Bridge or insert another adobe product where you see "Bridge" in the string.  That always lands me at the page with "Trending Questions" and with no obvious way to get to the actual forum other than a list near the top of page that includes "Bridge: General Discussion"... ok, clicking that again brings a page with the "Trending questions" non-sense.
At that point the only way I see to get to the actual forum is to click one of the "Trending questions", from that page you can see a link at the top that says: " Adobe Community > Bridge > Bridge General Discussion >   Discussions "
where you can finally get to a usable forum page.
One could, of course, book mark that... but it seems like a very unnecessary and convoluted path to find a usable forum.
I'm guessing there is some other obvious way I'm not seeing?

  • How to join Adobe Forums?  Need to open jp2 file

I am new to this.  If I try to post a question in response to another post on Adobe Forums, I get an "unauthorized" notice.  Searching Adobe Community Help with jp2, I get several returns, but none is helpful.  I would like to post a question about opening jp2 files with CS5 Extended.
    Thanks,
    Ralph

In order to not affect other things, just open AR9 before you start IE8. You will likely get comments about AR and AA not being compatible and that is an issue you have to be careful with. Also, note that if you delete either, you will have to repair the other. They will work together, but issues like you are having will continue to be an issue.

  • Question on Premiere Forum Structure

Now that the Premiere forums have been restructured, I have a question. From the titles of the various forums, it appears that Premiere Pro CS2 is in the "Premiere Pro 2.x and earlier" catagory. Since there was but CS2, I wonder about the ".x" designation, there was never a 2.1, 2.5, 2.anything. I see the "Premiere (CS versions)," and Premiere Pro CS2 was definitely a "CS" version, and I am getting lost. It was hard enough trying to figure out the various version designations of previous editions of the software, especially when the "Pro" designation came in and then the CS/CS2 versions came out and was called PP and PP2, though they came out long after higher numbers in the non-Pro designations.<br /><br />Just where in the heck SHOULD questions on Premiere Pro CS2 be placed?<br /><br />While I'm asking questions about forum structure, has any thought been given to rolling the "Production Studio" forum into the Premiere forums?<br /><br />Where should Encore questions go? I'd still think in the Encore forums, but since it is only available bundled with Premiere, since CS3, I wonder. I saw a lot of Encore questions in the old CS3 forums. Would the MODs want them to be posted into the Encore forum? I'd think so, but do not really know.<br /><br />[Disclaimer] I am in no way advocating that Adobe change anything about the forums. That was tried, and I still vividly recall days of being without my Adobe forums. Please do not do that again! <Grin><br /><br />Just trying to get this all straight in my feeble mind.<br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />Hunt

While the Creative Suite moniker was introduced with 2.0, in my physical package, only Photoshop and Illustrator use the CS2 name. Premiere Pro is just called 2.0. After Effects is called 7.0. Encore is 2.0 and Audition is 2.0.
CS wasn't used across the board until CS3, so I can see why the forum headings are labeled as they are.

  • Is the Adobe forum merging with Behance?

I have been using the forum for a while and it was very intuitive and well laid out... Why did you change it so much and add so many features to make it more like a social community? I thought behance was the social community?
I don't like the forum update... its hard to find the content I wrote a while back and it is not nearly as intuitive as it once was...
But if you are going to merge behance and the forum together then just do it please.... I don't want to upload all my content twice... Stop doubling our data...

Hello - I can't speak to the forum redesign, but Behance is the leading platform to showcase and discover creative work. This is not getting merged in any way with the Adobe Forums.
Let me know if you have further questions!

  • Google Chrome and Adobe Forum Comment Editor

When using the Adobe Forum Comment Editor (You know, the thing you type in to post question or comments)
When you are typing in Google Chrome, the cursor will sometimes jump to another line.
This happens a LOT, and I have to use a text editor (Notepad or other) to type out my question or comment,
Then copy and past into the Forum Editor.
Does anyone know if there is a work around to resolving this irritating issue?
    Thank You
    Wayne

  • Adobe Forums being used to spam

Upon logging in at work this morning I got the following spam message from the Adobe Forums. The message came from someone named "lulishan" How do I prevent having trash like this mailed to my address? Some of these forums seem to be taken over by "script peddlers" and spammers. I couldn't find any contact info for a forum admin. I am posting this here because the message was in response to a question I had posted here.

  • Not receiving email from Adobe forums

    Hi all.
I am a member of Adobe's forum and I do not receive any notifications about the posts I have subscribed to. I receive instant notification emails from every other forum I subscribe to but not  Adobe's. I was told that maybe my ISP has a filter but I get all their other emails, just not the forum ones. Sounds like BS to me.
I was told to add their address to a white list.
    Anyone have any suggestions?

You might get an answer here, but I think it's a question for the Adobe Forum. Since you are receiving your other mail, it doesn't seem like a Mail or ISP problem.

  • Is Dreamweaver right for me? (also Question about Adobe courses)

    Hi!
    I'm a grade five student,
who is wanting to learn about
    web design and animations.
    I already have Photoshop cs5
but i want to learn about web design.
Dreamweaver is the correct program right?
I also have a question about Adobe Courses (Online)
Will they go through, and show you how to set up websites
with dreamweaver... Templates, etc. stuff like that?
    All comments appreciates.
    Thanks
    CG

I am hardy the most qualified to answer this, but I'll have a go at it. First of all, I admire your ambition!
Dreamweaver is a great tool, but it will not necessarily teach you web design. Once you have some basic idea of what goes into a web design, you will realy appreciate what DreamWeaver can do for you. I am going to pass on to you the same advice given to me when I first wanted to get into DreamWeaver and web design.
I would realy suggest some basic HTML and CSS books and use a text editor to create your first pages. Once you start to undersatnd what you are doing, then by all means, get some DreamWeaver training. Everyone has their own favorite titles to learn the basics from, so I'll just say these are a suggestion and helped me get started. The Head First series was clearly written, has a good sense of humor and helped me get the basics. Check your Libraries, second hand book stores, or other resale outlets. I know you mentioned the Adobe Online, but I've also used, and like, the Adobe Classroom in a Book series. Once I learned a particular version, I found the Missing Manual series good for advanced questions and going to a new version.
Don't get discouraged, stay with it and don't be afarid to try another book if you don't like the ones I've suggested. We all learn different ways and what worked for me may not work for you!

  • Celebration of Adobe forums

Have you been as amazed and delighted as I have been by the extraordinary help and support available, in the name of enthusiasm, good will and mutual support, from the exellent people on these remarkable Adobe forums? I wish the business world I work in was as sweet as an Adobe forum.
    GK

I also appreciate all the superb help I have received here. This is a wonderful resource for us to share tech support issues and solutions, commiserate with others with the same problems, and in general meet others who are working in our field. I'm one of only two people in my department during my shift, and it really helps to have outside contact with which to sound off my ideas and questions. And very often I get a reply much more quickly here than I do at other sites, even on non-Adobe product-related technical problems.
I also want to note that I am a member of other (non-Adobe) forums that have all the extra bells and whistles like avatars, "number of views", etc. and it really makes me appreciate more the clean, simplified interface we have here. Maybe it's because I came here first, but I think it's much easier to navigate through this format than with the fancied-up kind. Thanks Adobe! :-D
